Field recording HVX200 and MBP
Just wondering of other users results with capturing this way and any suggestions. I am recording a concert(~2hrs) with my HVX200, with Neumann & AKG mics along with the onboard camera mics(using all 4 channels) tethered to my MBP.
I have done some 20 min tests in the office and all seems well(720p60 & 720p24). Although in FCP I had to set the device to non controllable to allow live capture, is this right? When I set it to DVCPRO HD Firewire device I keep getting waiting for timecode.
I am using a eSata cardAdapter into a external drive, Aja speed tests show ~79MB/s so I think I'm good.
Will I just end up with 1 large file, is this ok?
So other then a UPS and required power adapters, all should just work?
I have the latest updates for FCS2.
Regards
_Eric
I do this sort of thing sometimes, and I would make four suggestions:
Make sure to turn OFF Abort Capture on Dropped Frames in FCP's Preferences.
If at all possible, do a quick start/stop in between songs. That way,
if there's a glitch, at least you won't lose the whole event.
It seems to me that the mic preamps in the HVX200 are a bit noisy.
If you're not using an external mixer, you should at least try to find a mic
that has a high output, like the AKG 480 (20 mV/Pa). Maybe if the music
is loud enough, that won't be a problem.
Also be sure to turn set Spotlight's Privacy Preferences to exclude all connected
disks from background updating.
Hope it all goes well.

Audio drift with HDV (25fps 48k) footage and split field recorder audio (48k)
Split audio and audio from captured footage start synced but split sound drifts increasinly over time.
I've tried with 24bit (audio) as it was captured on field recorder and a 16bit converted file - same issue.
Weirdly, when I time compress split audio (100.4%) - waveforms visually line up but when rendered or playedback, drift is STILL THERE ie - even if I play back split audio only, I'm hearing playback drifting/delayed by a second or two towards the end of the hour long shot. So audio corresponding to peaks in waveform happens (increasingly) well after playhead hit and passes the peak. (I hope that makes sense)
Any suggestions? I've already missed a deadline because of this issue. Thanks in advance.

Literally, playhead passes over a peak then corresponding audio is heard dealyed, well after (and drift increases over time).
I can only surmise this is a bug with Premiere as I've done this process countless times without error in FCP. Not particularly happy with the lack of solution and time wasted on this. -
Field recorder (Zoom H4n) and CanonHFS100 workflow?
Hi all,
Hoping someone can describe an efficient way to work with a zoom h4n and final cut pro. I'm able to capture fine from my camera using log and transfer, but I will be adding audio from a field recorder to the mix.
I'm aware there is a plugin which can sync sound in the absence of timecode, i think it's called PluralEyes? But I'd like to learn to use timecode information too.
The Zoom recorder can produce .bwf files. Can FCP read these?
Do I need to use a clacker and sync every clip by hand? When I do this, how do I 'link' the audio and video?
I've been reading all I can, and everything I've gathered from conversations around the net seem to indicate that yes, there are ways to get it working... and I'd love to hear specifics about how people work with this kind of setup (integrating sound recorded separately)...
Best, ChrisHi there,
Did you by any chance ever find a solution to your problem with the H4n?? I'm having exactly the same problem. I think it might have something to do with a preference file. I didn't disconnect the zoom properly before unplugging it, and since then I am having the same problems as you??? Very frustrating....
Thanks. -

Name of the table where can get the two fields Valid-From and Valid-to for
Hi gurus
I want name of the table where I can get the two fields Valid-From and Valid-To and their relation ship with the header table in BOM
Regards
KaisarYou can only get the Valid from date from the table STKO.
To get the valid to date, you have to take one day less than the valid-from date of the next record for the same BOM.
Alternatively use the Function module:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_READ
It will give both valid from and valid to dates in the tables parameter: T_STKO

How does a record type and table type works
Hi,
How a record type and table type work for the ref cursor,
below i m giving an example but its giving me errors
can any one help me for this?
declare
type empcurtyp is ref cursor;
type rectype is record (veid t.emp_id%type, vename t.ename%type);
TYPE tabtype IS TABLE OF rectype;
empcv empcurtyp;
vtab tabtype;
begin
open empcv for select emp_id,ename from t;
loop
fetch empcv into vtab;
exit when empcv%notfound;
dbms_output.put_line(vtab.vename||vtab.veid);
end loop;
close empcv;
end;
here we hav table t and i m taking only two fields of the table t which r emp_id and ename.Hi,
What errors are you getting with this? From experience you don't need a loop to put the records into the ref cursor its usually done on block.

External Table - possible bug related to record size and total bytes in fil
I have an External Table defined with fixed record size, using Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 on HP/UX. At 279 byte records (1 or more fields, doesn't seem to matter), it can read almost 5M bytes in the file (17,421 records to be exact). At 280 byte records, it can not, but blows up with "partial record at end of file" - which is nonsense. It can read up to 3744 records, just below 1,048,320 bytes (1M bytes). 1 record over that, it blows up.
Now, If I add READSIZE and set it to 1.5M, then it works. I found this extends further, for instance 280 recsize with READSIZE 1.5M will work for a while but blows up on 39M bytes in the file (I didn't bother figuring exactly where it stops working in this case). Increasing READSIZE to 5M works again, for 78M bytes in file. But change the definition to have 560 byte records and it blows up. Decrease the file size to 39M bytes and it still won't work with 560 byte records.
Anyone have any explanation for this behavior? The docs say READSIZE is the read buffer, but only mentions that it is important to the largest record that can be processed - mine are only 280/560 bytes. My table definition is practically taken right out of the example in the docs for fixed length records (change the fields, sizes, names and it is identical - all clauses the same).
We are going to be using these external tables a lot, and need them to be reliable, so increasing READSIZE to the largest value I can doesn't make me comfortable, since I can't be sure in production how large an input file may become.
Should I report this as a bug to Oracle, or am I missing something?
Thanks,

I just bought a new Canon Powershot S3 IS digital camera.
I haven't used it yet, just opened the box.
It comes with a CD, "Digital Camera Solutions" that they say
you need to install in order to be able to download pictures from camera to the computer.
My question is this: do I really need this program?
Or can iPhoto take care of downloading my pictures?
I don't really want to install something that I don't need.

PO item Condition Record number and delivery address of PO - Need a table n
Hello Experts,
I need some help as I have searched enough but did not find any solution.
I need a table name where I can find Condition Record number for PO line item.
As I have to create a new PO Layout in which I have to mention each & every condition type with value for line item.
I need to know one more thing that from which table I will get delivery address number so on the basis of that I can read entries from table ADRC.
Thanks in advance.
BhagatHI,
The First Question is regarding the PO Conditions.
For Extracting the same. we have to Go to The Table EKKI and in this table pass the PO Number and after entering the PO NUmber ,at each item level we will have a condition record number KNUMV created,
collect the condition record number and pass the value in KONV table ,in that table we will get all the conditions and its values maintained.
The second question is the delivery Address
the Delivey address comes from four ways
Plant
EKPO -Pass PO NUmber - collect the plant and pass in table T001W to get the address number
and pass the address number to ADRC table
Customer (third party)
IN table EKPO -collect the customer Number-KUNNR and pass that value to KNA1 table and then get the address number and then get the address from ADRC table.
Direct address number ( created by t code MEAN- Type ME01)
This adress number-ADRNR can be taken from EKPO table and pass this value to adrc table to get the address.
Vendor ( subcontracting)
In this IN EKPO we will have the vendor field -LIFNR and this field collect the vendor number and pass in LFA1 and get the address number and then pass the address number to ADRC table
If in EKPO,the address number and customer vendor field are blank then it picked from the plant and we have to default the Plant Address
Hope so it helps

Thaks..Hi lizcam,
A. Use FCC at sender side, it will convert CSV to XML like this
Input XML
<documentName>
<recordset>
<record>
<Time>20110820</Time>
<ID>220DNE0220</ID>
<Quan>140.13</Quan>
<Volume>0.000</Volume>
<Auc>E01</Auc>
<No>0</No>
</record>
</recordset>
</documentName>
Create a target DT like this
Output XML
<recordset>
<record>
<StartTime>20110820</StartTime>
<EndTime>20110822</EndTime>
<Quan>140.13</Quan>
<Volume>0.000</Volume>
<Auc>E01</Auc>
<No>0</No>
</record>
</recordset>
In MM,
1.Time -> CopyValue[0] -> StartTime
2.Time -> below UDF -> EndTime
3.Quan -> Quan
4.Volume -> Volume
5.Auc -> Auc
6.No -> No
UDF u2013 Execution type u2013 All values of Queue
public void getLastTimeValue(String[] inputEndTime, ResultList result, Container container) throws StreamTransformationException{
result.addValue(inputEndTime[inputEndTime.length-1]);
B. At receiver use again FCC to convert XML to CSV.
FYI. If you want to optimize more, you can use
1.globalContainer concept OR
2.u201CAttributes and Methodsu201D, declare are String. Store the EndTime using one UDF and write another UDF to retrieve it.

Custom fields in Field status variant and Posting keys
Hi,
We have defined some custom fields in BSEG table for which we wish to control the field status through Field status groups and Posting keys as well.
Has some one addressed this requirement before? Please provide me some inputs on this.
Regards,
SwapnilHello Chakardhar,
Since the same fields for document entry are required for several G/L accounts, you define the status of fields for a group of G/L accounts.
You create the definition under a field status group. Enter the key of the group in the master record of the G/L account. Field status groups are cross-company code, that is, they do not depend on the company code but on the field status variant. In the standard system, a separate variant for field status groups exists for each company code. The name of the variant is the same as the company code. Every company code is assigned to the variant with the same name. You can work in several company codes with identical field status groups as long as these company codes are assigned to the same field status variants. You define the field status for each individual posting key.
Hope I ahd been able to hep you out. Please assign points and let me know if you need anything specific.

Adding fields to BUT000 and ensuring sync with SD
Hi
I have a requirement whereby I am adding 6 custom fields in BUT000 (all Z Fields), these fields should then be visible on the screens for the transaction FPP1 and FPP2. I am able to achieve this functionality by using BDT.
Whenever we create a Business Partner and populate the REF CUSTOMER field then an equivalent customer is created in SD (that is for XD01 we have a customer who is created). Now I want the customer who is created through FPP1 have those 6 custom fields populated and we are going to add the same six fields to KNA1 and KNVV and whatever data is entered in FPP1 should then get reflected in those table fields for that record.
Can anyone help me with the procedure?I have a PB form that I have two user defined fields created.
In addition I've added two Comboboxes, that has a list of items that I'm using to populate the user fields.
Because, of this, I'm not populating the user fields in a standard way (Through the UDF Window). What I'm actually doing is, after I update my selection in the Combobox and press the update button, I capture the item press event for the button, then I check to see if the event has been handled by the system. If it has, I proceed and create a Business Partner object, then I get the record the system just updated and update its user defined fields with the data selected in the Combobox (Which is temporarly stored in a class variable).
This is when I get the error, but I only get the error if the user defined field is currently null. If there is a value in the field then I don't get the error.
Hope this help you to duplicate. -
Neglecting empty field record while retracting data using InfoSpoke
Hi BWers,
I am trying to load data from cube to DB table using Info Spoke.
While transferring data from cube to DB Table I want to skip the empty field records.
Example:
Data in the Info Cube:
<b>EmpNo</b> <b>Emp Name</b> <b>Salary</b>
101 Robbert 10000
<b> </b> Bob 50000
Data need to be transferred to DB Table:
<b>EmpNo</b> <b>Emp Name</b> <b>Salary</b>
101 Robert 10000
Because second record's Emp No is blank.
I tried in various ways under SELECTION tab in RSBOH but failed to get it
Thanks in Advance!

Bobby.Goto infospoke and in the transformation tab, click on infospoke with transform using badi,
then go to the implementation class after activating etc..
in the class go to the method TRANSFORM,
method IF_EX_OPENHUB_TRANSFORM~TRANSFORM.

Photo Booth froze while recording video and did not save
Hi-
I was in the middle of recording a video on Photo Booth for a school project. Before you go any further- I now know that I should have used iMovie or Quick Time to record, but I was having the same problem with freezing/lagging video. So I decided on using Photo Booth because it is what I am most familiar with.
It was about a 20 minute video and I noticed that the picture would freeze every so often, even right after I began recording, so I know it is not a size issue. I also do not have anything in my Photo Booth tray or library, so I know I have enough space.
Here's my issue: I pressed stop when I was done recording. But I got the infamous "spinning wheel of death." It didn't go away, even after 10 minutes so I force quit. I have located the recording in Finder. It says the name of the video, and the size, but the thumbnail is just the default QuickTime icon, not an icon.
How do I recover this? It's extremely important that I do. Hoping EZ Jim will respond! Thank you so much in advance.
I am using a MacBook Pro 13" from 2011.l_kleiman wrote: ... I should have used iMovie or Quick Time to record...
Yes, you should have. Do so in future recordings that are important or longer than a couple of minutes.

Because your problem is the same with all three video recording applications, we can rule out application software as the cause of your trouble. Here are some possible causes and what you can do to try to solve them:
(1) Video recording is processor intensive. If you are also running many more apps than only the video app while you are recording, your Mac's processor may be working near its limit.
Restarting your Mac before recording video ensures you will not have interference from multiple user accounts or widgets (unless they are included as > System Preferences... > Account > Login iTems.
Remember that things like widgets and automatic checks for Mail, TimeMachine backups, iCal alarms, etc., and other background activities also add to your Mac's workload. The actions for the apps mentioned (and for most other such apps) can be disabled in "Preferences" for the apps that control them.
Disconnect all peripherals while you are recording video, and make your record monitoring window as small as possible. These suggestions help reduce processor power requirements while recording.
(2) Installing the maximum amount of RAM your MBP can use may help you. Your retailer can help you check what you have and install more if necessary.
(3) Alternatively, the cause of your symptoms May lie in your system software.
Consider the information in OS X Mountain Lion: If your Mac runs slowly. It applies equally to your OS X Lion system.
If you are not already running the latest Lion version, apply the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) update.)

Neither freeze timing nor Photo Booth tray or library space tells you whether your startup disk has enough free ("Available") space for best operation.
Use your Mac's Finder > File > Get Info menu command to check available free space. Be sure you have LOTS of room (I keep 75% of my disk space free when recording video) on your MBP's disk.
Capture your movie clips on your MBP's startup disk rather than on an external drive which is almost certainly slower.

If something here doesn't work, http://bit.ly/1An6zjD, your only remedy it to record the video again.

You're welcome. If you need to post back for other suggestions, please tell us the following:
0. What Lion version number you are using? You can find the version with the > About This Mac menu command.
1. Are you recording your video subjects in bright lighting?
2. Did your Mac ever record video properly? If so, what happened immediately before the problem first appeared? (new software, hardware, etc?)
3. How much free space is "Available" on your startup disk?
4. How much RAM is installed in your Mac?
5. If you added RAM, what brand (Apple, Crucial, Other World, etc.) did you install?
6. Have you used Apple Hardware Test to verify your RAM is all working? (If you don't know how to use AHT, see your MBP's User Guide.)
We will offer more specific suggestions based on the details in your response.

OK to change Volume name in Finder?
(First: Please correct me if I'm referring wrongly to "Volume." From the image I do know the DEVICE is "Chuck Mtn Lion MBP." I intend to refer to the name that appears in the Finder, the one that typically starts as "Macintosh HD.") Simple question:
