Field response playing Hide & Seek.

Hi,
I am using Acrobat Pro X to create a form. This was distributed and some of the respondants replied with some problems.
Problem 1: Field responses.
Respondents replied they filled in every field. But I saw some missing.
It was only when I clicked onto the fields that I would SEE the filled responses.
Their seemingly missing response was shown in the tracker. Just not directly on the form.
Why is this so?
I should be able to read on the response file everything that the respondant wrote onto the fields. But it seems like some of the field responses are playing hide & seek.
Problem 2: Missing information
Some respondants said they completed the form but when they saved it, only half of the answers were saved.
Is it NORMAL to have these glitches with form distribution?
How can I solve those problems?
Do I need to re-create the original form from scratch? Or, update my program (version 10.1.0)

re: Problem 1: Does it mean that by using Apple instead of Adobe Reader that the user changed the setting so that when I read the form (using adobe pro) that I'd still couldn't see the response directly on the form but only when I click on it that it would show up?
re: Problem 2: Is there a general solution that I could use to avoid having future problems? Because I will not know how to solve the problem even if I knew what application they used... as it seemed it<s a case-by-case solution and I'm not an expert in this area...
Any general solution for this problem would be appreciated.

Document folder playing hide & seek

I am a new leopard user and found a weird problem on my Powermac g5...
1) the document folder on my quick launch bar is there and works
2) the document folder as it appears in stacks is there and works
3) I goto user\myname\ and the document folder is not there, not accessible
4) I check the paths for the documents folder through spotlight, quicklaunch etc and they all say it is in \user\myname\
This has not happened on my intel MBPro

Not sure, but it is possible that the Documents folder got its invisible bit set. Take a look at my article on the problem (which usually afflicts drives, but has been known to disappear folders as well):

To see if the info applies to you (you'll see the "gray" effect on the icon if it does) go to the Finder's Go menu, select the "Go to Folder..." option and type /users/yourname/Documents, and then select Column view when the window opens. If the Documents folder then appears in the column, and is a pale gray, then it has indeed had the invisible bit set. Several methods are given for fixing the problem in the article.

PS--Be sure to use the correct slashes when you type the path. Just noticed you are using \ when describing your problem. You want the OTHER slash, / (which is at the bottom of the keyboard).

Problem in using Field Symbols in HIDE statement

Hi All,
I am working in an Upgrade project ( from 4.6B to ECC 5.0 ). In a program I found few warnings on HIDE statement because they have used Field Symbols in HIDE statement.
The warning is " HIDE on a field symbol is dangerous, but the formal parameter "" is not ".
and the piece of code is
SET EXTENDED CHECK OFF.
HIDE: flg_pick_up, <s1>, <s2>, <s3>, <s4>, <s5>, z_feld_ind.
CLEAR flg_pick_up.
SET EXTENDED CHECK ON.
all the field symbols are of type ANY. SO can any one help in removing those warnings.
Please reply me as soon as possible.

1. Why do u want to remove
the warning ?
2. This warning (and not an error)
is a GENUINE warning,
which the system wants the user to make aware of.
3. By doing some xyz,
even if u may be able to hide the warning,
the warning may be hidden (for display purpose only),
but,
the warning will still be there inside the system.
4. I think u should ignore the warning,
(if there are no other repurcussions).

ICal - printer playing hide and go seek

I am trying to print off lesson plans using iCal. I have them set up as all day events, but when it prints it only prints the first line of each week. List version does not work, because I really need it in calendar view. Thanks SO much for your help!

E71 Funky analogue clock and playing hide and seek...

Hi all,
I just purchased my E71 last night and everything is going alright until today when I noticed two things.
My analogue clock displays an upside down "12" where the number "3" should be, even though the time is correct. What gives?
Also, even though this may not seem important but I distinctly remember setting the way a ringtone would sound as it rings... you know, like a loop or surround...something like that and I chose random. But now I don't like it and for the life of me I just CAN'T find where to turn that option off!!

So, considering the 'upside down number twelve', it is in fact 21, ie today's date.
The loop sound can be turned off in Media/3-D tones.

Strange "code" in the Comments field when playing songs

When I play some songs (probably 80% of my archive) iTunes generate some strange code in the Comments field. This is quite annoying, since I use the field to write additional info about the song, artist, location, whatever.
Examples of such codes:
" 00000244 00000000 000010B3 00000000 00022325 00000000 000057AD 00000000 00004E37 00000000"
" 0000014C 00000151 00000551 00000580 0001119E 0001119E 00003C73 0000379B 0001D4D7 0001D4D7"
and so on...
How can I stop this generation of random numbers and letters in the comments field?

Ick.... Well, maybe you're right. I also turned off "let itunes keep things organized" at about the same time. Between turning off sound check, itunes organizing, and the WMP settings, I have never seen it happen again.
I still think it was WMP, as I only open WMP rarely to listen to web clips and I noticed it had happened to some tracks I had not played in itunes for years, and it happened right after that WMP update. I'd had the sound check and itunes organization thing on for years.
One thing we can agree on, it was totally random. No rhyme or reason to it, and I even noticed that it didn't even affect all the tracks on some albums.
I just turned sound check back on, only on my Mac, because that is just my backup copy of files. We'll see if it hits again.
edit-(it's determining sound volume on x of 393, weird, I have over 27000 tracks in my library)

Hi,
You cannot create a PO without specifying POrg and Company Code. It is standard in SAP. Though you can make other fields as Optional, Required entry and Display through Define Screen Layout at Document Level in SPRO.
Can you please tell us why you want to Hide POrg and Company Code?

PSGUID Field in the Hide in the Quality System,Unhide in Dev System

Hi all,
We have applied note 929584 to get the GUID filed in the Standared extractors.
That is perfectly applied & we have tested in BW development & R/3 Dev.
same request we have trasported to Quality system but in some data sources GUID , CPR_GUID & OBSNR fields are in the HIDE .
I have done the following things:
1. I have checked in RSA2 of Quality system those filelds are "Fileds to be trasfered" check box is unchecked *( But not in DEV)
2.RSA6 also those filed are with HIDE Check box ( But not in DEV).
3. I have reactivated the datasources in DEV sytem once agin & Retrasported but still those fileds are in the same situation.
So please suggest me How I have to unhide these fileds in the Quality System.
Please suggest me.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I created an entity adapter and did things as you said .. But start date field is not getting pre populate. what i want is once the user clicks on the "Users -- > Create" link create user page should loaded and system date need to be shown as the start date..
For an example in create user page 'change password at next logon' chek box is already checked(prepopulated) once the create user page is loading. Likewise what i want is when user creation page is loading display the current system date as the start date..
I think now my problem is clear to you..
will it be possible to do.. can you please help on that....

Recording Free Text field responses in an LMS

I have answer fields that are 'free text' however need to be in specific locations on the page and hence cannot use standard quiz features of an LMS. Does anyone know how I can embed the PDF form so a student doesn't have to download/complete/save and upload. Any Ideas?

It sounds like you need to track the responses in the cmi.interactions which Captivate can do. The teacher would then need to look at the "Gradebook" in the LMS for each student. There is not a way for a teacher to interact with a SCORM course natively to pass/fail a student based on their interactions in the course, some LMS's may offer this capability, ours does not.
You could also use a blended approach using a forum in your LMS if available. Evaluation of essays is always difficult in an online environment.

SRM Field Control for Master Data fields e.g. hide Street prefix

Hi Experts,
we are using SRM 7 Ehp1.
For the RFx process we need to create bidders.
To simplify the creation of the bidder for the users we would like to hide
all unnecessary fields e.g. Street prefix / Street suffix.
I tried to use the customizing img "SAP Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Cross-Application Basic Settings --> Extensions and Field Control (Personalization) --> Configure Field Control"
I've tried the function "Configure Control for Fields on Header Level".
There is a business object type BBP001 for bidders but only 4 fields are available for field control.
It seems this customizing entry is only for transaction data, e.g. SC, PO but not for master data.
Is it possible to hide fields for bidders within SRM?

Did you mean in MSC2N the radio buttons 'unrestr-use' and 'Batch restr' and the whole area 'Batch status' is missing??
IF YES: You have to activate the batch status managament in transaction OMCT.
IF NO: Please clarify your problem.

Calculation fields need to hide $0 and 0% fields when null

I have my Before DIR% calculated by dividing (TotalDebts/TotalIncome*100) and have it show up as a percentage (ie 26% OR 31% instead of .26 or .31). I need it to show up blank if there isnt anything going on. Same for "After DIR" and "% Unsec to Inc". I also have another from with the same exact problem but it calculates a $0. How would make these 0's show up blank when no calculation is currenlty happening? I am trying to get them to show up as blank so if needed I could print out the form and hand write it and NOT have the 0% show up.

If you set the Pattern display on the calculated cell to allow zeros and/or null then if both of the numericFields are 0, then the calculated cell is blank; not 0. Just select the calculated cell that has the 0, then in the Object tab select the Field tab, and there should be a "Patterns" button you can click. Select "Display" from the drop down box after hitting "Patterns", and then check the fields "Allow Empty" and/or "Allow Zero". Should not display the 0 once you have those set.

Responsive Design - Hide DIV in Internet Explorer

I'm building a responsive design site and have multiple Navigation Bars for each screen width.
In my CSS depending on screen size I have the navigation bar turned off or hidden display.
Doing this works fine in FireFox, but doesn't in Internet Explorer. Specifically IE8, but I would like a fix for all IE browsers.

TV Out option hide & seek

Is this iOS 5 feature ? I can see 'TV Out' option only when supported accesory is connected. I use iPhone in my car Media Snap-in adapter. Before iOS 5, the videos play in correct aspect ration. But in iOS 5, this option appears in 'General' only when supported cable is connected or only when it is placed in the car's Media Snap-in adapter and 'Anamorphic' option is turned off by default. Is there any way to set this to on by default ?

Nekkid emperor: the iCal vs. Mail "thing"

By now I feel like I'm crazy. Please tell me that I'm not the only person who can see there's some kind of emperor's new clothes thing going on wrt iCal's handing of invitations from Mail.
The memories are shrouded but I recall a time (before Tiger? Dunno, it's too murky) that when I opened Mail.app containing an invite from an Exchange user, a little .ics file appeared in the message, I'd click it, it'd open iCal, and I'd accept. It Just Worked. Let me put that out there again: It. Just. Worked.
Sometimes it's the "me card" thing, sometimes it's the "events turn into all text" thing, sometimes it's the "can't change events" thing. I've seen the suggestions here and at Macosxhints.com, the scripting suggestions, the open it in text edit and fix the raw file suggestions, and I feel like I'm going to burst. They boil down to the same problem: iCal doesn't Just Work with events someone sends us in email.
Surely these do not represent the way our beloved Apple intends us to use these two applications?
Am I missing something? Even on these forums I can't seem to find the message where someone says "this is a known issue." Am I searching poorly? How could they break something that seems like such a natural and then not issue a fix for it for over a year? Open. Click. Accept. Forget Until iCal Reminds Me. Or to put it another way:
Open. Click. Accept. Trust.
That's it. Isn't that what you need? What we all sort of expect? That's not what it's doing now and I'm not alone.

No, no, I got it. I don't mean I can't find the date on which to drop it. I know the app will file it in the correct place.
I mean I don't know what date it's going to when I let it go, and if that date appears outside whatever view setting I'm using to look at my calendar, that is when I have to go play hide & seek.
I mean, seriously, wouldn't it make more sense If it opened a dialog box instead, to alert the user when a date was being requested? Offer them a look at the date in question, so they can decide if they want or are able to throw it on their calendar? Instead of assuming that by interacting with this heretofore unreadable calendar object you intend to accept it? Mind you the .ics icon does not tell the user what date is being requested--Mail does not communicate the date to the user unless and until it's viewed through iCal, and in the workaround you suggest, it assumes the user doesn't mind blindly throwing darts at their calendar. Open Drag Trust? The lack of an inspect-and-accept step in there disregards the user's needs.
I'm not a UI expert by any means, but this seems poorly executed. I appreciate this conversation. But it seems like we're talking about nuances of the problem that aren't the whole problem. I do feel like we're wandering in the wilderness together a little bit, and arguing about whether that's rain falling on us or ...I don't know, I guess I'm saying it's urine? Wow, this analogy is regrettable now that it's reached the conclusion. Either way, we're getting wet.
