FIELD SALES

We have been told that you can utilize the FIELD SALES AND TELESALES MODULES without having installed Order Entry and Accounts Receivable. Is this true or a sales gimmick? ? Anyone know the scoop???

When 11i is installed, the entire Oracle Applications schema is installed (both for CRM and ERP applications and modules). Depending on the licensing agreement, you may or may not use the entire schema, but it will be there nonetheless. Suspect your question is coming from changes that are occurring in 11i with how order management is being handled. These are: Order Entry has been de-commissioned in 11i. It is being replaced by Order Management (which also includes Advanced Pricing). All CRM applications will use a single module to create orders. That module is called Order Capture, which is a new module being introduced in Release 11i. Order Capture does not replace Order Management, but rather is an entry point into Order Management. All information concerning an order is stored within the Order Management database schema. Order Capture will provide views to access and update order information stored within that schema. If Order Management is not being used (for instance, youre using a legacy or third party order fulfillment system) then the views and APIs that Order Capture has will need to be modified from their default settings (which point to Order Management) and re-direct to read and write data from the external application's database tables.

  • Field Sales Ord. is a required field

    HI,
While doing 412 -e movement getting this error message
Field Sales Ord. is a required field for G/L account 1000 192006

    Hi,
I think the order movement you have selected must have some reference/reservation with it.
So whenever you select that particular movement, the order no. is essential.
This particularly happens for make to order production, where order is mandatory.
So just enter the order number in it, so the process gets completed.

    Siddharth.

  • Activate field sales prospect in opportunity transaction CRMD_BUS2000111

    Hi Experts,
I want to activate the field sales prospect in opportutity transaction CRMD_BUS2000111.I'm using CRM5.0. For activatating the field I am using transaction CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C -> define layout for people centric UI(customizing tool) then choosing transaction crmd_bus2000111 -> Version1 ->Detail Area 1->Tab page group ->OPP1->OPP_HD_OVERVIEW .Under that it is showing multigroup  OPP_OBJREL_HD_MULT . Now I think the sales prospect field is under this multigroup.I'm not getting how to activate the field in that multigroup. Please give me a solution for that, it is very urgent.
    Thanks in advance
    Koustav

Hi, I kind of lost track of this tread.
If the field is not read only in the underlying field group, you should check the partner determination procedure for the transaction type your are using. It should contain a partner function of the partner function type prospect. Maybe it needs to be maintained in the user interface settings of the partner determination procedure as well, but I am not sure about that.

  • Oracle Marketing & Field Sales Implementation

    Hi Experts
I'm a complete newbie to CRM and Marketing & Field Sales module. Working hard to grasp and understand the architecture and implementation process of CRM and Marketing & Field Sales module.
Plz guide me to start this experience. The major questions or doubts infact which comes to my mind right now are:
    1. What is the Oracle CRM architecture? I see an ocean of oracle modules in CRM, but how to go about it?
    2. What is the initiation point? ... From where should i start implementing?
    3. Are these modules interrelated or we can implement each module independently?
    4. If i be specific for now, then i wanna implement Oracle Marketing & Field Sales module. So how should i start exploring and do i need to implement any module as a pre-requisite to implement Marketing & Field Sales?
    5. I'm currently going through the Oracle Lead Management implementation docs. Am i on the right track or do i need to study something else first?
Guyz, plz clarify these doubts as without clarifying these basic fundamentals, i'm not able to completely dedicate my time and focus on the subject. Until and unless i know that what i'm studying has got the desired end-result i'm not able to concentrate properly.
Plz help me in figuring out this messy web of modules and its architecture.
    Regards
    Ari :)

    Hello,
Is someone there who has implemented Oracle Marketing & Oracle Lead Management in Oracle EBS R12 over AS 10g.

  • How can I use the field "Sales Order" on derivation?

    Dear All.
This is about PA characteristic derivation.
I want to change the characteristic value "Sales Order (KAUFN)" by derivation.
But I cannot select the characteristic field on target field.
The field "Sales order(KAUFN)" doesn't exist there.
Why? How can I use the field "Sales Order" on derivation?
    Y.C.Bae

    Hi Bae,
in order to be able to choose fields KAUFN (for sales order) and KDPOS
(for sales order item) as target fields of derivation step 'enhancement'
you have to modify the coding of subroutine EXIT  GET_ALLOWED_TARGETS
    in program RKEDRCOPA like this:
        NAME-IDENTIFIER = 'CO-PA'.
        NAME-TABNAME = FIELDTAB_ENTRY-TABNAME.
        NAME-FIELDNAME = FIELDTAB_ENTRY-FIELDNAME.
        IF FIELDTAB_ENTRY-USGFL CA 'DUV'
    BEGIN OF INSERTION *****
             OR FIELDTAB_ENTRY-FIELDNAME = 'KAUFN'
             OR FIELDTAB_ENTRY-FIELDNAME = 'KDPOS'
    END   OF INSERTION *****
             OR FIELDTAB_ENTRY-FIELDNAME = 'KNDNR'
             OR FIELDTAB_ENTRY-FIELDNAME = 'ARTNR'
Actually sales order number and sales order item shouldn't be changed
by derivation (therefore they are no valid target fields in standard)
but if you need to fill them within an enhancement this modification
will help you to define them as valid target fields. But this is just
the technical frame so far; the logic from which table you'd like to
derive the sales order number correctly depends on your implementation
of the enhancement! I just want to ask you to be rather careful with
the implementation of the exit so that the sales order number isn't
changed in cases that shouldn't be concerned.

    Abhisek

  • Searching for "Upgrade of mySAP CRM Field Sales Scenariou0094

    Hello!
We're planning to upgrade from SAP CRM 4.0 SP4 Mobile Sales up to 4.0 SP11 (or perhaps 12 in a few month). Now i'm searching for the pdf "Upgrade of mySAP CRM Field Sales Scenario”. Has the title changed? I didn't found it on the service marketplace.
Perhaps here's anybody reading who knows a download-link?
Thanks a lot in advance and best regards,
    Ingo

    Hello Ingo,
the documentation needed is in the car files that you can download for the mobile application; just go to service.sap.com/swdc -> entry by application CRM -> Scenario Mobile Client (or similar): there are two .car files for each SP, but you only need the target SP: Uncar them with (mobile/bin)sapcar -xvf (filename) and then you will get a documentation directory.
    Otherwise just ask me directly.

  • OS or Field Sales?

    Hi All,
Our company would like to install OA 11i, and we don't know which version of Oracle Sales should choose. We have a question about the Sales module:
    1. Is it true that the Field Sales product line would be over, and the new installs should choose Oracle Sales (ASN)?
    Balazs

From 11.5.10.2 Oracle has introduced the new Sales Product, Oracle Sales and it is based on OA Framework. Going forward, all the self-service pages would be on the OA Framework. Field Sales(aka Sales Online) is still available in 11.5.10 and eventually it might be rolled-off.

  • Is it possible to mandatory a field(Sales Lead Name) in Sales Inquiry

    Hi,
I have a scenario like when sales dept creating a sales Inquiry they want  that a field is to be mandatory of Sales person name, who is responsible for the sales. They want that with out the Sales person's name it will not allow to create the sales Inquiry.
Now is there any way out from customizing?
    Please through some light
    Thanks in advance,
    Tokan

You can achieve your requirement through partner determination for sales doc header.
To Create Sales Personnel (if you are not using HR module for Sales Personal) in SAP, use Tcode VPE1.
You have to Maintain Partner Determination in SPRO:
IMG - SD - Basic Functions - Partner Determination - Set up Partner Determination
As you can set it up in Sales Order (say, At Header),
Click: -Set up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header
Maintain a Partner Determination procedure ZIN - Inquiry Order.(copy TA - Standard Order)
Make PE-Sales employee as mandatory in ZIN - PE-Sales employee in Partner Function Procedure in Partner Determination procedure.
Now, From Left-hand side tree, click on:
    Partner determination procedure assignment.
Here assign ZIN to your Sales Doc type (Say, IN - Inquiry).
    Again from Left-hand tree, select
    Account groups - Function Assignment
Here, Link all Customer Acct Grps to PE/ VE
Now in Sales Order (T. Code: VA11/ 12), to include Sales Employee:
    Goto --> Header --> Partner
here, in Column Partner. Function: Select VE/ PE as defined for Sales Employee.
    Hope this can assist you.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Enhacement Territory management with field Sales Office

    Hi,
If i want to assign attribute for "sales office" to territory management. Which field and data element I need to use for modifiy table "CRMM_TERRATRIB". Do I need a "BAdI: Implement Business Logic for Additional Attributes"?
    Thanks in advance.
    Lyda

Plant and Sales Office Fields are not Present in Output Communication Structure KOMKBV3 / KOMPBV3.
Your observation is correct. In standard SAP System for Application V3, Sales Office and Plant are not part of standard field catelog.
If you observe Plant & Sales Office are item & header related data, respectively. Therefore, Plant and Sales Office should ideally appended to structure KOMPBV3 & KOMKBV3. Then write require logic in userexit to fetch values for Plant & Sales Office in USEREXIT_KOMPBV3_FILL in include RVCOMFZ1 and USEREXIT_KOMKBV3_FILL in include RVCOMFZZ, respectively.
Further instead of appending fields catalog with std fields WERKS and VKBUR for plant and Sales Office, try with Z fields like ZZWERKS and ZZVKBUR, for Plant and Sales Office, respectively.
For your reference/understanding, you can refer following SAP Help link: New Fields For Output Control

  • String Conversion into Quantity field ----------Sales Orders

    Hi Experts,
Can any of you give an standard function module or conversion routine for String conversion to Quantity field.
The problem is I pass on 5 value as a string and while the system creates any sales orders, now in the quantity filed
it shows me as 0.005 and for value 7 it gives me as 0.007.
So, Now I want a conversion in such a way that if I pass 5 then the system should 5.000 and if I pass 10 it should show
as 10.00 likewise for 100 or above also.
    Thank you,
