Field set to Required - but can be null!!

Oracle forms - if a field is set to required, and it is null, why can I tab passed it, if the database column is null able, will this influence the behaviour of Forms?

I have no runtime code that changes these fields with the set_item_property code.

In OMSR change the Field sel. group for MARA-SPART to new no. say 210 , Use this Field sel. group (210) in OMS9 to achieve your requirement.

New router, set up fine, but can't connect (iPhone) to network

Hi everyone, I've done some reading hoping I'd come across something and not have to post what I'm sure is a redundant question, but here goes. I just got a new wireless router, a WRT110. I set it up and everything went perfectly, no issues. It's hardwired to my iMac, but my wife and I would like to use wireless for our iPhones and perhaps a laptop. So, to test it out, i got onto my iPhone. I found the network I had established so I thought everything would work smoothly. However, as soon as I entered my password, it said "Incorrect password for "network"" I went back and reviewed the text file that the setup put on my desktop and sure enough, the password I selected is indeed the one I'm entering, but it's not working. I thought maybe it would be a time thing, so I gave it about a half hour or so and still nothing. I'm entering the right password, so why can I not login? Kind of frustrating. Thanks for any help or tips.

I have the same problem. My iPhone doesn't recognize my password. As you suggested, I change the security mode to Disabled and now, on my iPhone, I can see that my network is not locked but I can't access to the network. (''Unable to join the network''.

HT5509 In an app that was frozen, I triple-clicked the home button and activated "guided access". I never set a passcode but can't exit GA without one. Is there a default passcode when one is not set by user? ipad2 ios 6.something

We have an iPad 2 running ios 6.something - I can't check that right now because we can't seem to exit "guided access". I was playing Clumsy Ninja when it froze. I didn't know about forcing closed or removing an app from the recent bar yet at the time, so I was looking through settings for some kind of intuitively obvious admin tool for shutting down a jammed app - to no avail. Then I reopened the game and tried different things: holding the home button down, pressing the home button multiple times. When I did that, "guided access" launched. It informed me that it had deactivated the buttons, and asked me if I wanted to shut down parts of screen. No solution in that, so I attempted to exit GA at which point ipad requested a passcode - I never set a general passcode or a GA passcode, so I have no idea what to put in. I have tried rebooting by means of Home and Power buttons - it reopens Clumsy Ninja with GA active.
Is there a default "Guided Access" passcode that would be in place since I haven't set one?

Nope . I was the only one using it and I did not set a passcode . That would have been a red flag for me . We don't have it configured to require a passcode for logon and I would not have created one intentionally .

Forms - Can't set a required field to visible=false

I want to set a required field to visible=false but OIM 9.1 gives an error saying it is not possible.

I have set form fields as User required and yet the form still prints/save when empty.

What script do I need to additionally restrict both printing and saving if the required fields are empty?
You would think that just setting that option would restrict those functions the same as it does for the email button.
Please be specific with your response if you are gracious enough to offer one. I have been searching the forum all morning for the answer to this and I really didn't understand any of the solutions offered to others enough to use those in my own form.

Social (social security number)
Name
Headquarters
Residence
The next question I have is if there is a way to make individual signature fields mandatory if they are digital signatures?
In other words, I don't want the individual to be able to email the form to the next person if he/she hasn't applied their digital signature.

Saving can always be done, even when mandatory fields are empty. This is by design. And that is correct. Suppose you have a big form and 2 people need to fill it out. How can you fill out a first part and then send it to the second person without saving.
Same for printing. Same for your signature fields.
What I would do, is to put a "watermark" on the form that you show on preSave and prePrint if the form is incomplete. Just a static text on your form. Then the user will see that they need to do more. Also, on preSave and prePrint, you can show a warning popup to tell the user about the missing fields. You can then still cancel their action if the user decides not to save/print anyway.

In general in Web Dynpro ABAP, setting the required property on the UI doesn't actually do anything except visibily mark the UI element with the required symbol (the red * next to the label). Unlike classic dynpro, this property doesn't cause a runtime check to see if the field has a value or produce an error message. This must be added within the application logic. There is a helper method cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>check_mandatory_attr_on_view.
That said, I can't comment specifically about this SRM framework. It would be something application specific that sits above the WD framework. Perhaps it has this dynamic call already built in and this situation is an error. Or it could be the case that the SRM tool is just exposing all the UI element properties and you would have to use the Enhancement Framework to extend the view logic to acutally perform a mandator check.

Need to change field details of view but no enhancement sets exist.

I am attempting to change one of the fields in the Accounts screen, changing it from a help value field to a field that will be populated with data from ERP. I'm okay with the appropriate code to populate the field but what I don't know is how I can initially create an enhancement set. When I look at the component and view the [Enhance Component] button reveals no enhancement sets.
My understanding is that I will need an enhancement set in order to change the code/method related to the field. But how do I create one?.
Where I believe the problem may be is that when I execute the transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB all I get is a Component and Test Application entry field and three buttons underneath with Display, Create and Test. There is NO Enhancement Set option or icons in the far right corner to Create or Delete.
What can be wrong here?.
I should point out that this is abrand new CRM 7 implementation and there are NO enhancements sets in existance at the moment, which might be why this screen looks like it does, but this is surely a bug as I don't (using this transaction) have the option to even create an Enhancement Set.
If this is the reason then maybe I need to create some kind of dummy enhancement set that more or less does nothing, and therefore no harm, and which may trigger the Enhancement Set field to be displayed when I enter the BSP_WD_CMPWB transaction.

Micha, that little icon to the left of the component field was not there, but there was a different one saying 'SAP standard'. Anyway, I clicked on this icon and changed to the little man with paper behind him, and, the Enhancement Set field was also displayed, along with the create/delete icons as well.
I've never paid much attention to that Icon before and had not realised it was switchable.
You live and learn.
Now that I can create an Enhancement set I can finally get on and make the changes required.

The error I see is you did not specify the proper authentication for the smtp server.
In the Mail preferences for the account, smtp popup, select Edit SMTP Server List. A sheet will drop down. Select Advanced tab on that sheet. You should, I assume, set the Authentication to password, and set the proper username and password. That's where the poper would be set if 587 is not the one you should be using. Maybe it is. I only bring it up since I see it trying to use port 587.
If you got this stuff already set correctly then I don't know. Mail has a problem in your setup. Maybe delete the account and recreate it from scratch.

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem. The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6. (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!

You can't setup (create) an iCloud account using a PC. You must use an Apple device, a Mac or an iPhone etc. Once you have created an account you can sign in from your PC.

I don't have my search field anymore, only the url field. I know I can seach in it, but I want my separate search field back. How do I do that?

Not sure when it happened and I am sure it is just a setting or something, but I can't find where I get the search field back. I see it when I open the customize the tool bar, but it disappears when I close it. I want to search from Google and the URL search bar does not give me that option, only Google Maps & places.
How do I get back that separate search field?

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.
