Field status - Commitment Item

We need to make the Commitment Item field in the GL entry screen in DISPLAY mode. The field status offers only Suppress, required and Optional.
How do we configure the same??

then u are inputing the data through f-02 the fields status are affected what posting we are using and what g/l accounting we using that means the posting key control the feilds related through that posting key (ob41 select the posting key 40 and dispaly it and select feild status button for select of feild status) and what g/l account u are posting that g/l account holds feild status group (for example g001,t-code  obc4, select the g001 for select of feild status will inputing the data through posting).to control the feilds with to parameters the system follows one rule i.e., SDRO - suppress, display, required and optional,
in            posting key                   feild status variant         result

when come to,  view the inputed data for example fbl3n select the  change layout
arrange the reposting of posted its as required.

    I've create commitment item master (FMCIA) without "Standard Variant" field flaging. When I display commitment item heirarchy (FMCIE) the commitment item is under my Standard Hierarchy.
    I reviewed in table "FMCI" and found that field Standard Variant (STVAR) is flagged "X". Is this mean all Commitment Item Master Data will be automatically flaged the Standard Variant field?
    From my experience, all Commitment Item should be flagged to be position under the standard variant. I tried create Commitment Item Master in the client that the Standard Variant indicator filed appeard by un flag that field. There is the error Message no. F6160 (You can only maintain postable cmmt items in standard var. xxx).
    Are there any case that the standard variant field in Commitment Item master should not be flagged, and let that commitment item out from Standard Variant ?
    Is this related to the configuration that I set for Year Independent Master Data?

    Hi Vinay,
    You cannot check the Field Status directly when posting a document. The Field Status is controlled by the Field Status group. This is controlled at 3 levels, the company code level, G/L Master level and at the Posting key level. Field status at the posting key level overwrites other groups. It is basically to control which fiedls need to be supressed, which are required and which are optional.
    In FS00 under the create/bank/interest tab you will find the field group. Check the Recon account assigned to your vendor/customer master and check the field status in FS00.

    Please kindly check your customizing in the following menu path:
    SPRO - Materials Management - Inventory Management and Physical Inventory - Settings for Enjoy Transactions - Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO)
    Then you can choose for MIGO or per mvt type. If you have doubts, check the documentation available there.
    In addition, please check the note that explains the integration between PSM-FM and MM related to commitment item.

    Hi,
    This setting cannot be done for document type. This depends on the account assignment category only. Check t-code OME9 and click the details(Lens) for each AA category.

    Our user want the 'Commitment Item' filed should only be diplayed while making PR and PO. Please suggest what to do.
    Shall, I make the field surpass for that FSG and it will show as surpass in all the enjoy transactions or there is something else I should do..

    Actually, users are changing the commitment items and that's why finance people are facing the problems so they have requested to mark the Commitment item field in a display mode.
    Please telll me the t. code or the path where to do this as I am not an MM consultant and he has left recently I have been asked to do it.

    Hi Nitin,
    You can select the field status for your commitment item in transaction OME9.
    - Go to TCode OME9
    - Select the account assignment category that you are using
    - here you can do the SDRO (Suppress,display,required,optional) settings for your account assignment elements.

  • Adding an addition feilds n the field status group

    Hi all
    I want to know, how to add a new field in the in the field status.
    e.g.
    in the standard  feild status group G001 we have fields namely general data, material managenment,addition account assignment,ect
    In additional account assignment i want to add some new feilds like Charges,dimension,etc. apart from the standard fields like Fund Center,Commitment item,Cost center
    But when i checked,their is no provission for adding the new fields.
    Can any one help out in this regard.......

    You have to extend the coding block of the BSEG table with the required fields.
    You can then use there fields in the field status

    When Funds Managemnet is Active so while creating Purchase order without account assignment K,in account assignment tab Fund center and commitment item fields used to appear so my question is how make these fields as in display.
    Another issues is that my client want cost center field should appear in same screen without account assignmnet K.

  • Financial Transactions in commitment item

    Hi Gurus
    We are facing this error while entering the Goods receipt i.e MIGO
    Transaction for a import materail while trying to save the MIGO we are
    getting the error " Posting not Possible;Incorrect financial
    transactions of commitment item" We tried to change the financial
    transactions but still the system is showing the same error and not
    allowing us to save the MIGO.
    Please suggest some solution as it is very urgent issue and affecting our business operations.

    Hi,
    Use t.code: FS00 and check the GR/IR , Stock accounts and other G/L involves and  see what is the field status group , you have maintained for all G/L’s.
    Now use t.code: OBC4
    Select your field status variant & Click Filed Status Group TAB and check the Filed Status Group, what u have mentioned for the GR/IR ,Stock account & other G/L’s
    Go To additional account assignment segment and put optional entry for the commitment item and save.( hope for any one of your G/L, is it required entry, just change and make it optional)
    Now try ur transaction.

    I have  maintained Derivation Rule
    Co Code / GL/ BA/ Plant / S Loc/ = Fund / Comitement / Fund Center.
    Stil in that case at the time of creation of Sales order, systeme is giving error (++No commitment Item Update M V2225++)
    And also i have maintained the Comitement Item in GL master.
    Could you give me some solution.

    Hi Nilesh R,
    Please check the following information of Consulting Note 1268001 (the same for funds center is valid to commitment item):
    1.  You receive the error message in a Sales Order (SD) process.
       a) SD customizing settings for FM objects.
       You can set "commitment item" as an optional entry in SD customizing settings for field status. This can be checked in the IMG path: SPRO -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government-> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration -> Integration ->
       Maintain Field Status for Assigning FM Account Assignments
       You should have a record with Object type = '04' (sales order).
       It is not necessary to have the field as required (unless you want to insert it in the origin process) due to the fact that
       this can avoid the account assignment derivation between CO objects and FM objects. The field can not be hidden otherwise it will be not derived.
       For more information, check note 572729.
    The system response depends on how you defined the fields of the FM dialog box using Customizing activity 'Maintain Field Status for Assigning FM Account Assignments':
         -  The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as ready for input ('Opt. entry' or 'Req. entry') in Customizing:
            If you change the reference object in the sales order, the system does not re-derive FM data automatically. For that, you
            must navigate to the FM dialog box and, by choosing icon 'Redetermine account (F5)', trigger the derivation manually.
         -   The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as not changeable ('Display') in Customizing:
             If the reference object is changed in the order, FM data is redetermined automatically.
         -  The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as not displayable ('Hide') in Customizing:
             FM data is not determined.
    Therefore, set the field status to optional permit the user to enter the FM objects manually and still benefit from the possibility to
    automatically derive the FM objects from a CO object.
    For more information on integrating Plant Maintenance, Sales and Distribution and Project System, see the SAP Library Accounting -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management -> Actual and Commitment Update -> Integration with Plant Maintenance, Integration with Sales and Distribution and Integration with Project System (Network).
    You can also check the documentation available in the IMG menu of the status (written above).
       b) If you do not want to integrate sales order process within PSM-FM, you should consider to deactivate this integration in
          customizing transaction OFUP. In release EA-PS 1.10 and 2.00 modification note 591573 is available.
    Please also check consulting note 1267998 and let me know if you have used FMDERIVE trace tool.
    If you want to have SD integrated to FM, please check if in OFUP the flag of this integration is accordingly set.
    If you work with free-of-charge sales order line items mixed with line items having value, please consider to apply note 1441847 (if it is valid to your current release/package).

  • Error in Posting Service Entry Sheet - FI 311 No Commitment Item in Item 1

    Dear All,
    We need a suggestion/solution for the following problem :-
    Our customer had raised purchase orders for services in may 2010. The following critical entries were made in the purchase order.
    Account Assignment Category was P-Project
    The WBS element was entered as the Accounts Assigment Category was P.
    The user was entering uncoded services. Hence the material group for that service which had G/L a/c tagged to it was entered. But the G/l code was not populated in the purchase order by the system at that time of creation of purchase order and subsequently the user was able to save and release purchase order.
    The user was able to post Service Entry Sheet and generate accounting entries in june 2010.
    Additional service entry sheets are required to be posted for the remaining quantites. The client has urcated the SES process into two parts.
    1. Through T-code ZML81N the end user is able to create and save the SES.
    2. Through T-code ML81N the Head of Department is able to approve and post the SES which results in generating of accounting entries.
    Presently the user is able to create SES with tcode ZML81N. But when the HOD tries to approve and post the ses we get the error.
    FI 311 - No commitement item maintained in Item 0001 in P220 (company code).
    Fund Management is active in this company code and all settings related to Funds Management and FI have been checked by respective consultants.
    The end user is not having any problems in processing SES for current Pos. But he is not able to create SES for the POs created in May, 2010 for which the user has already created and posted more than one SES against the same POs.
    We have already escalated it to SAP.

    Use T.code:FS00 and check G/L account 280000 is there in your company code or not.
    If yes, check its nature(type/description,control data , cretae bank/intererst tabs)of G/L
    NOTE: Also check and compare the field selection between Movement type 101 & your G/L account 280000 in SE38 t.code with  Program RM07CUFA

    I need develop a report which can show the actual and commitment items for each order and Operation/component under that each ITEM wise and its related documents.
    For the component we can find the table RESB.
    But i am getting the difficult to find the data related to Operation (services)
    In my client we can able to see PM orders with activity types and SKF
    How can build the logic to find the values for each operation item and its commitments (PO, PR) and actual that is FI documents
    Please guide me the   TABLES and fields or else give me the hints, how can find the tables

  • Incorrect Commitment item derived for GR/IR for service orders

    Hi Guys
    We are currently on support pack 14, release 200 of EA-PS. I'm experiencing problems in with FM account assignment derivation. Especially with regards to service entry sheets.
    The system is deriving account assignments well from goods reciepts to invoice reciept stage. The problem kicks in when clearing GR/IR - clearing using transaction code MR11. The system derives the expenditure commitment item using the GR/IR account in FI. I created assignments for my commitment items to be derived from G/L accounts as there is a one to one relationship between my G/L account and commitment item.
    This condition results in a debit and credit entry being posted to the same commitment item in one transaction. I would expect only one item to be posted to the expense commitment item as it is the only one in the two line document whose financial transaction field set to 30. The GR/IR commitment's financial field is set to 40.

    Hi,
    First thing I's do is to activate the FMDERIVE trace and see what is this commitment item derived from.
    See what GL accounts are posted in the financial doc, and have a look at the log to see if the commitment item is derived directly from those acocunts.

  • Scheduling Agreement Item not reflected as commitment item in CO

    HI SAP MM Gurus,
    Good day!
    Here is my scenario:
    We need to create scheduling agreements with Account Assignment F which needs to have the commitment items reflected upon creation of the delivery schedule. This works ok if I create the documents (Scheduling Agreement and Delivery Schedule) manually, with the field EKPO-XOBLR being set to X to have the items pass through to CO
    The problem is, due to the volume of documents processed, we need to create an upload program using the function module BAPI_SAG_CREATE. Upon observation, this does not update the commitments for the shceduling agreement items even though both the scheduling agreement and delivery schedule were created.
    Any thoughts on how I can resolve this?

    Are u sure the transaction code is ME33L, contracts use ME33K
    Now this is tricky.
    One way of finding the condition table used is (working backwards)...
    go to table KONH
    in the field VAKEY enter your contract<i>(10 chars as in EKKO/EKPO w/ leading zeroes or trailing spaces)</i> and contract line<i>(5 chars w/ leading zeroes).</i>
    look at KVEWE (A in my case) and KOTABNR (16 in my case) used now join the two (A<b>0</b>16 add the zero in between) now this is the condition table.
