Field Valuation Type should be available on all PO's

Hi,
Would like the field Valuation Type (MEPO1211-BWTAR) available at all times on PO's but when I remove the "Invisible" indicator on the screen setting and activate+save it system just forget what was done and the field is marked "Invisible" again. Any idea to what my problem is?
BR

hi,
The field valuation type becomes editable / uneditable depending on the customisation settings ie. tick the indicator while setting the SPRO settings for the valuation catagories...
Its not possible to apply to the all PO's at once...it depends on the SPRO settings for each...

  • Transfer posting field Valuation type

HI, I´m doing a transfer posting in reference to a reservation or to others, and I need that when I complete the field Valuation Type in “From” (from which storage location), this field should automatically completed in “Destination”. This should be working the same way as when I enter the material number, that I press enter and the information of “FROM” is copied to “Destination”.
    Thank you
    Sofia

    Rajesh,
Thank you very much for your answer. It was trying to do this for  933,934,935 and 936. But don´t worry about it because I had solved it. I changed the configuration of the field UMBAR in:
    Materials Management
    Inventory Management and Physical Inventory
    Settings for Enjoy Transactions
    Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO)
    Field Selection per Mvt Type
The field was a required entry and I changed to Optional entry.

  • Defaulting Valuation type of header material in production order

    Hi PP users,
I have a scenario where a Semi-finished material SF is subject to split valuation as per valuation type = In-House & Export.
However, the production of SF is always done in MTS environment and client wants that each production order for this SF should be posted for GR (through order confirmation) with valuation type = In-House. When they will have the requirements for SF to be exported, then they will be doing MB1B/309 for SF from valuation type = In-House to Export and then sale from valuation type = Export.
Now I have seen that for split valuated SF or FG, when you create production order then in the GR tab of order, a field is autoamtically made available for Valuation type. This field is not a mandatory one and hence can be left blank also.
At the time of order confirmation for SF, the valuation type field is open for input under 'Goods Movements' details. So, even though it is intended to do GR for valuation type = In-House, user can by mistake put valuation type = Export.
Is there any way in SAP whereby the valuation type (whenever applicable as per header material) field in production order is made mandatory or even defaulted with desired valaution type (in our case, valuation type = In-House)?
Once either of the two options will become possible, I will be using transaction variant for order confirmation transaction to make the field Valuation type for Output only (not ready for input).
    Thanks in advance,
    PP_HKV...

    Hi
The field - Valuation type can be made mandatory in T-code MIGO. There is a setting in customizing as Enjoy Setting in Material Management. Using this you can make the field mandatory in MIGO (GR).
Similarly bu using screen variant you can also make the field mandatory in Order confirmation - Goods movement. (CO11N).
For making the valuation type as default, there might be a solution in BAdI. Please check with your ABAPer.

  • Valuation Type Check in STOs

In STO creation in ME27 Transaction, the field Valuation Type is mandatory. In availability check, we could able to find the available stock at issuing plant at quantity level. But our requirement is how to find the issuing plant stock at each Valuation type level? Is there any setting in aAvailability Check? or any Standard System message available?
    Thanks & Regards.

    Hi...
dear frnd the valuation type field is mandatory because the material for which you are creating a STO is split valuated, means in accounting view of the material you have maintained something in  the field "Valuation category".
If this is the case, when  you received the goods in supplying plant you should have entered valuation type as your batch.
And if the material is batch managed you have to check the valuation type for the batch in which the material stock exist.
Batch can be displayed in T-Code - MSC3N (Tables -  MCHA and MCHB) Kindly check the data in both tables.
Hpe this will solve the problem.

  • Different Valuation types for one process oder

    Hi,
We have a requirement like valuation type in the process order should not get copied from the confirmation and the valuation type should be dynamic and different for each confirmation of the process order. Can any one tell me whether there are any costom setting for this scenario.
If there are no custom settings Can we do core modifications to the program to clear the value of valuation type in the process order. If we clear valuation type manually will there be any effects to any of the programs based on the valuation type.
What is the purpose of valutaiton type . Please specify any documens that i can refer for valuation type field in process order.
    Thanks,
    NN.

    Hi,
The valuation type assigned to the material & not to the order.
The valuation types are used to idetify how the material was processed.
As Some stocks of a material can be procured externally. Others are
produced internally. Using the valuation type  , you can assign your
"bought-out" stocks and your "made-in" stocks to different accounts and
valuate the "bought-out" stocks at different prices to the "made-in"
stocks. Such stocks can be subject to different price controls.

  • What is valuation type ?

    Dear All ,
pl explain what is val type & what is valuation catogary , & val. class where we maintain these in customizing .
    Rgds
    sap12

Hi below you can see the whole topic of split valuation,
there you can find definition and use of Val type, Category, and Class.
Hope you have gathered lot more information on this topic.
Please can you close the thread?
    SAP Split Valuation for Materials
The SAP R/3 System allows you to valuate stocks of a material either together or separately, that is, according to different valuation criteria. Split valuation is necessary if, for example:
    1. Stock from in-house production has a different valuation price than externally procured stock.
    2. Stock obtained from one manufacturer is valuated at a different price than stock obtained from another manufacturer.
    3. Different batch stocks of a material have different valuation prices.
    4. Value damaged and repair part differently from a new part.
To used split valuation, you have to activate it using 'OMW0'.
To change split material valuation once it has been set, you must
    1.  first post out all stocks (for example, to a cost center or with movement type 562)
    2.  then change the control parameters
    3.  if necessary, change the automatic account determination
    4.  finally post the stocks back in again
In split valuation, you can distinguish between partial stocks of a material according to certain criteria and valuate them separately.
The material stock is divided according to valuation category and valuation type.
The valuation category determines how the partial stocks are divided, that is, according to which criteria.
The valuation type describes the characteristics of the individual stocks.
With the function "Setting" you can determine:
which valuation categories exist in your company (global categories)
which valuation types exist in your company (global types)
which valuation types belong to which valuation category
which valuation categories exist in a valuation area (local categories)
Your entries are only relevant if you set split valuation as active in the function "Global settings".
In the standard SAP R/3 System, the following valuation categories are default settings :
    B procurement type
    with the valuation types:
    "EIGEN" for in-house production
    "FREMD" for external procurement
    H Origin
X automatic valuation (only for batch)
To select split valuation ('OMWC'), proceed as follows:
    1.  Determine the valuation categories and valuation types that are allowed for all valuation areas:
global valuation categories via menu "Goto --> Global Categories"
global valuation types via menu "Goto --> Global Types"
    2.  Allocate the valuation types to the valuation categories.
         a) Select "Goto --> Global Categories".
         b) Position the cursor on a valuation category and select
            "Goto --> Global Categories --> Assignments --> 'Types->Category'".
         c) Activate the valuation types you want.
    3.  Determine the local valuation categories for each valuation area.
         a) Select "Goto --> Local definitions".
         b) Position the cursor on a valuation area and select
             "Goto --> Local Definitions --> Allocate Categoires->Org.units (button Cats->(OU)".
You obtain a list of the global valuation categories.
         c) Activate the categories to be used in this valuation area.
The system creates the local valuation types based on the allocations under point 2.
Only now can you create a master record with split valuation.
Specifying Split Valuation by creating Material Subject to Split Valuation
    1.  Create a material master record, selecting the Accounting View 1.
    2.  Enter your data as required on the Accounting data screen, specifying a valuation category.
(If you can't find the valuation category field, it might be hidden, use OMSR to define the Field Groups.
Look for the field MBEW-BWTTY for Valuation category).
    3.   Be sure that the price control indicator is V for moving average price and enter a moving average price.
    4.   In the case of split valuation, you can create only one valuation header record with price control V because the
individual stock values are cumulated, and this total value is written to the valuation header record.  This is where the
individual stocks of a material are managed cumulatively. To do this, fill in the Valuation category field on the accounting
screen when you create the material master record and leave the Valuation type field blank.
    5.   Save your data and the system creates the valuation header record.
    6.   The initial screen appears.
    7.   Extend the material by creating new material master records from the Accounting view 1. For the first material, specify a
valuation type in the Organizational Levels dialog box and enter the respective accounting data on the data screen.
Proceed likewise for the other materials, distinguishing between them by valuation type.  To do this, call up the material in
creation mode again. Due to the fact that a valuation header record exists, the system requires you to enter a valuation
          type for the valuation category.
    8.   Repeat step seven for every valuation type planned.
You want to valuate the stock of material XYZ that you obtain from manufacturer A in Los Angeles at a different price than the stock you obtain from manufacturer B in Detroit. In this case, the valuation category is H for origin. Your valuation types can be LOS ANGELES and DETROIT.
If a material is subject to split valuation, every quantity (sub-stock) of this material must be assigned to a valuation type (for example, country of origin).
For every valuation type, there are two types of data in the system, as follows:
Valuation data (for example, valuation price, total stock quantity, total stock value), which is defined for every valuation type at valuation-area level and applies to all dependent storage locations.
Stock data, which, like batch data, is managed separately for each storage location. If a material that is subject to split valuation is also subject to management in batches, its stock data is not managed by valuation type, but rather by batch. Every batch is assigned to a valuation type.
The stock quantity, stock value, and valuation price for all valuation types are managed cumulatively at valuation-area level.
Must the Valuation Type Exist Before the First Goods Receipt?
You can post the goods receipt of material of a certain valuation type only if the valuation data for this valuation type already exists, because the system valuates the goods receipt at the price defined in the valuation data. On the other hand, the stock data for the valuation type is created automatically during the first goods receipt into the storage location, if this is defined in Customizing for Inventory Management.
Goods Movements with Materials Subject to Split Valuation
If you want to enter goods movements for materials subject to split valuation, you must enter the valuation type in addition to the material number.
Enter the valuation type in the Batch field for MB01.
In MIGO, there is a valuation type field in Detail data -> Material.

  • Valuation type with CK11N

    Hallo Friends,
It's possible to run material cost Estimate  (CK11N) with Valuation Type Means I want One Material Standard Cost Extimate with Different Different Value so Please tell me It's Possible If Yes than Guide me Because I also Assign Material master to Valuation Category but It's not working when I run CK11N..............
    thanks in Advance,
    Rajesh

    Check MM02 - Accounting view.
Through split valuation, its possible, one valuation type should have Price control S = fixed/standard, and other valuation type should have Price control V = moving.
    Try this in QAS

  • Valuation type default in PR Doc type

    Hi experts,
The following issue needs a solution
"When the document type ZG is used in a PR, the valuation type should default as u201CCoveredu201D
When using the document type NB for a PR, the valuation type should default to u201CChargedu201D

    Hi,
Unfortunately, your scenario is not covered in SAP Standard.
In configuration OMWC, under Global Categories, you can set the Default Valuation Type for external procurement.
However it does not depend on Document Type.
So in your case, if you put Valuation Type value "Charged" here, it will default to this valuation type no matter if you use ZG or NB document Type.
You would need to look for an enhancement with the help of an ABAPer for this scenario.

  • Wrong  ' valuation type' in production order - SAP AFS

    Hi guru,
We have production orders for material AFS with Valuation
Category 'X'(automatic batch)and with split valuation.
During release of production order, the field 'valuation type' (AFPOD-
BWTAR) in folder ''Good receipt' is valuated with a wrong value.
In debugging we found the function /AFS/_LCOKO1F09 that in reading the
table MBEW the first value different from 'blank' fill the
fields 'c_bwtar' (value C), but the correct value is 'P'.
It seems some confusion among the value of field AFPOD-BWTAR and MBEW-
BWTAR because the help value (F4) on AFPD-BWTAR is different from help
    value of MBEW-BWTAR.
So if you can help us.
    Best regards

    Hi
U v mention that u r using valuation category (X). Which is ment for automatic batch creation.
generally valuation is ment for origion of prod., quality lebels, etc.
If this is ur requirement then u can't use valuation category (X).
U need to create seperate valuation category based on parameters on which u want valuation.

  • Default valuation type when issuing material or Creating Delivery

    Hi,
We have some material manage with valuation type  X,   Y,  Z   while creating PO  we are entering Valuation type in PO as per requiremtn   but i want that  whenever we issue the material  with 201   or creating delivery of that material with VL01N or VL02N  default valuation type should be    'Y'  so how to set this as default.

You will need to create a stock determination strategy and stock determination rule  and assign it to the material master.
    use TCODE : OSPX.

  • Fields in MIGO - BATCH and Valuation Type

    Hi all,
I would like to know the meaning of the following fields in MIGO.
    BATCH - Charg
    Valuation Type - Bwtar
Which is the impact of each field?
Should they have the same value in TRA MIGO?
Which means that only the BATCH field is entered and the Valuation Type empty?
    Thanks you very much!!

valuation type  comes into the game If a material is subject to split valuation.
you can for example split the valuation based on origin, e.g. internal produced and external procured.
this is more a financial thing.
the batch is the level to segragate the stock of a material. e.g. each GR can be a new batch. so you can manage the stock by FIFO rules and by shelf life.  this is a logistics thing.
Both can be used on their own, or together.
if you want manage your materials by batches, but dont need split valuation, then you only have to take care about batch number, and the valuation type field in the batch record stays empty.
if you manage material by batch and you use split valuation, then the split valuation type is a mandatory field in the batch record and you may have to enter batch and valuation type, but usually the valution type is defaulted from customizing.
The tricky part is if you only use split valuation, because then the valuation type becomes the batch number. this is sometimes a bit confusing.

  • Can be fixed valuation type field in PO.

Every time we create a PO for a perticular material  at a perticular plant, we have to enter in the valuation type each time.
    Can this be fixed?

This should be able to be performed in configuration:
MM > Valuation and Account Assignment > Split Valuation > "Configure Split Valuation"
Under "Local Definitions", all of your plants should be listed.  Select your plant and select "Local Categories".  From this there is a field Default: valuation type "external procurement" you can define the default valuation type on the PO you wish to use.
    Hope this helps,
    Matt

  • Data should get inserted in all tables if i enter the form field only once

Hi, I have a new question again.
There are 5 tables in a database, that is t1, t2, t3, t4 & t5. the first 4 table has one common column, known as lc_no. I have build the form using the form builder. In that form, there is a 1 text field for lc_no. I have not started to code anything as yet in the form because everything with respect to it is working fine and even the data is getting inserted. But the problem is that, when i enter the data in the form, the lc_no gets loaded in only one table. I want the data to get inserted in all the tables. What should i code? How should i start off? I'm very new to this & don't exactly know how do i start with it ?
Thank You. Can you help as i have not yet started to code in this form.
    Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0.
    oracle forms 6i.

Let us say table one have lc_no, other columen
    Table 2 have LC-no , other columsn
    Table 3 have lc-no , other column,
Now in form(which has table1 as base table)
    In PRe-Insert write like below
Insert into table2 (lc_no) values (:table1.lc_no) here tabel1 should be block name in form.
    Insert into table3 (lc_no) values (:table1.lc_no)
................and so on .. to other table.
So, now when user commits the form, the lc_no will be available in all the other tables..

Why are there so many more choices on the USA iTunes Store? Surely having an iTunes account should let you access all itunes availability the world over?
Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes? There's tv series I'd like but they're incomplete like The Batman & Xena Warrior Princess. And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV?  Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search & purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung & HTC are already on too of them for innovation & ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?

It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.
You can try requesting that an item be added to the UK store via this page, but unless the rights-holder agrees to then Apple won't be able to sell it here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html
