Field with date picker

I have a date field (which has a date picker). I have set the default value of that field to sysdate, which is displayed when the form is opened, but when you click on the date picker button the wrong year, eg 1920 is displayed.
Any ideas ?

Check the date format. If the date picker date format is different from the database date format, then you might get this. For example, if your date picker date format is 'YYYY/MM/DD', then, for the default value set it to TO_CHAR(SYSDATE, 'YYYY/MM/DD').

This is Anil regarding the addition of fields to the BP transaction.
here my problem is for BP transaction I could not find any BADI or screen exit to add the fields. Even EEWB tool does not allow us to cretate the fields with data type "TIMS". so could you please suggest any other way to add these fields to BP?
when I enter the values to the time fields in BP transaction, they must reflect in
BUT000 table also?

In the physical layer, Column Properties change the data type to int.
If still problem exists, In the Business Model, write a case statement like
case when column1=1 then 1 end
and apply count aggregation on the new calculated column,add the column to presentation table, use that new calculated column for report.

Add input field with date salector inside a TableView

Im trying to build an user interface for my ones step-screen flow command, this user interface needs a TableView and for each row i need an input field with date selector.
Ive been trying to use de DefaultTableViewModel as the model for my TableView. I create a method to build my vector with the data for my DefaultTableViewModel as follow.

          dataVec.addElement(text1);
          TextView text2 = new TextView("text2");

then i use the vector as follow:

But when I Display my user interface the TableView shows a string that I thing is a reference of the Input and the TextView inside my TableView instead of showing the components.
Any Ideas?

EEWB : in CRM 4.0 adding field with data element = table type

Do you have experience in CRM4.0 to add a customer field with data element that is a table type ?

I don't believe it is possible in CRM 4.0. Another drawback of the EEWB is that you can't add currency or quantity fields using the EEWB tool.

How to make a list item field with DATE data type?

I have a column with DATE data type. Using forms 6i I want to generate a poplist list item field with this column while the value of the elements in the list to will be day names like SATURDAY,SUNDAY,MONDAY. if we change the data type from date to char, it will work properly but now with DATE data type behind it, it gives the following error message

Set your date column as a hidden (non-displayed) field. Create your list item with the varchar2 day names. Create the list item as a non-base-table field that accepts the text values of day names. On that field, create a when-validate-item trigger that translates the text into a real date, which it then uses to set the value of the actual base-table item.

My problem is when I run the page and select a date from the Pop-Up calendar I get this error:

I know it is something to do with data formats and the fact that I do not fully understand the use of wwv_flow_item.date_popup().

It is a WD Java application, Backend is ABAP (MM module).
The UI is input field, where the context attribute type is Date, So its been changed to Date Picker.
The problem is when the user runs the WD application in Portal, The calendar format is being changed for some users. That is for few users the Week starts with Monday and for few users the week starts with Sunday.
I need all the users to have Monday as the First day of the week.
Please let me know, what will be solution for this.
Since I haven't done anything in regard to date, it is a simple Date format.

UIX Javascript Error with Date Picker

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.2.1.0 with JHeadstart 10.1.2.2.32 to create UIX pages. I have a page with a filter by search field. If I select the date picker on this page in IE version 6 or 7, I get the following javascript error:

Thanks for the reply. As a matter of fact, in my case the error happens in a UIX page generated by JHeadstart. I did some JavaScript debugging using the FireBug Firefox entension and I found that it is some JHeadstart JavaScript that causes this problem.
The JHeadstart JavaScript passes on an array of input elements to the AFD JavaScript function and the problem arises when the select() method is called on the array, rather than an input element in the array.
I will try to solve my issue by modifying the JHeadstart JavaScript code. Please see the JHeadstart forum somewhere in the near future for my post(s) about this :-)

Problem with Date Picker Item

I'm using APEX 4.2.2.00.11 and I have a problem with the Date Picker. I can't select any day of the second week of the month (it happens for all months).
Someone know if there are any reason (and how can I solve it) or is an APEX bug?

How to Change UI element from input Field to Date Picker

Hi All,
One Custom View is created in which we are pulling some fields from a custom context node created using the value Node.
For one of the field which is already an input field we need to convert it to date picker.
in the GET_P_METHOD
CASE IV_PROPERTY.
WHEN 'fieldType'.
rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_radio.
WHEN 'radioCols'.
rv_value = '1'.
ENDCASE.
We can change the attribute to clbsp_dlc_view_descriptor_ and bring
checkbox,radiobutton,hyperlink and all but not finding anything for Date picker.
Can anyone suggest a method by which we can convert a UI element to Date Picker.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

The technical data type for that field should be DATS then input help will automatically come.
Also in get_m method of that attribute should have
metadata = cl_crm_uiu_bt_date_tools=>get_m_date( ir_model_binding = me
iv_attribute_path = attribute_path ).

Is there any way to put in string a list of user like the people picker control shows in a form?
The really problem is I don't know how to read an array of user in a formula rule.

Problem populating html form fields with data from database.

I'm using a straight forward piece of code to populate a form with data from a database, to create and 'edit record' page. The code is as follows;

However, when I view the page, the string shows in the text feild, but seems to be split at the point of the first space. So basically only the first word of the string shows in the text field. If I try to print '$dbnewsletter_title' outside of the table, the string is shown in full as it should be.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

Conditional fields with Data Merge

I have, what I believe, would be a common question for people using Data Merge in InDesign for business cards.
I have multiple phone fields, with a small-caps letter to indicate what type (mobile, direct, fax, etc.), i.e.:
M <<Phone Mobile>>
D <<Phone Direct>>
If an employee has only one phone line, how can I make it so that the entire line will be omitted from the final merged doc?
In the past, I've just gone through the final set and quickly removed extra lines/characters, but I know there's a way!

You could also do a find/replace (or, rather two of them if needed) to remove the leading character.
So for your "D" phone number example, you would do a F/R after the merge like so:
D <FEFF>\r
If I remembered the syntax correctly, anyway. It finds the literal 'D' followed by a space, followed by an empty merge field marker, followed by a return. Replace would be with nothing.
Else consider using a merge product that has the conditional capabilities. Em Software makes one such plug-in. I use Xdata for QuarkXpress a good bit, their InDesign counterpart is called InData.

Inconsistency during recon with UDF fields with date type

We have several fields type Date in the UDF definition. Birthdate, for example.
We recon'd a bunch of users, and some users have their birthdate (and other dates, like start and end dates UDF) showing up at YYYY/MM/DD 00:00:00 in the database, while others show up as YYYY/MM/DD 01:00:00
This obviously is bad. Has anyways seen this behavior before?

Having issues with populating a Text Field with data from 2 other fields

I have 3 fields Tools_1a_pri, Tools_1a_pri_other, Tools_1a_pri_txt.
Tools_1a_pri is a drop down combo with a predefined list. One of the options is "Other". When "Other" is selected, the text field Tools_1a_pri_other becomes visible for users to enter the name of the other tool.
The Tools_1a_pri_txt is a text field with a calculation that shows either text stating that no tool has been selected or the Tools_1a_pri & or Tools_1a_pri_other.
When I select one of the predefined tools, everything works. When I select other, it appears that nothing has changed. It requires that I click on another field before it populates. This is confusing to the user.

You made the classic mistake of using the assignment operator in an if-statement instead of the comparison operator. Change this line:

How to populate text fields with data present in a table

Hi,
The page i'm building has got a select list for the primary key column and text fields corresponding to rest of the columns in the table.
upon selecting some value from the list, the data corresponding to that row should get populated in the respective items. I don't want to add source in each item. can't i create a process or something else where this is done for each item.
for eg there's a table with columns A(primary key) and B.
there is a text fields on this page.
this textfield should populate the data from the table whenever i submit the page such that teh value in B is select B from tablename where A = the selected value.

So I assume page was not built using a wizard. Why on earth you would want to I dont know, but you could create an "After Header" pl/sql process to populate the relevant fields, assuming the id was know on entry to the page. If you want to select the id on the page and then populate the fields, guess you will need to use a "Text Field (always submits page when Enter pressed)" and then use an "On Submit" process to populate the items.
If you are using an Automated Row Fetch, remember to select "Set memory Cache on Fetch" in that process.
