Hi,
Can anyone please tell me what all fields got transferred from ECC to BI when we pul 0material and 0customer records??
Or where I can check fields in ecc or bi?? what TCode?

In the source system you can check the fields that belong to the datasource in the table ROOSFIELD, just enter
the datasource name in the field OLTPSOURCE in the table and set the value for field OBJVERS to A.
You can also check the fields that belong to the datasource in transaction RSA5 and RSA6.
On the BW side if you use BW 3.x or earlier release you can see in the transfer rules( transfer structure
TAB) the fields that are transferred by the datasource fromn the source system. If you use BI 7.x
release you can check the fields that are transferred by the datasource in the transformation.

Mapping the R/3 Fields with InfoObjects

I am working on CO-PA Datasource, i have the r/3 fields from which i have to map the info objects in BI. I found all the relevent infoobjects, but few left without mapping.I tried to find these fields from tcode:se11/rsosfieldmap but i cannot find these fields here also. Can anyone help me in searching the infoobjects for the following fields:
PAOBJNR,PASUBNR,HZDAT,KURSKZ,RKESTATU,PAPAOBJNR,PAPASUBNR,FRWAE,KURSF,KURSBK,COPA_AWORG,COPA_BWZPT,COPA_AWSYS,COPA_AWTYP .

Search with the description of the field in infoobjects if not found then find the same in BI content, once you find the infoobject cross check with length and type of chars etc...

How to check field to InfoObject mapping, i mean how to identify particular field is exactly matching with corresponding InfoObject.
For example, when i searched in Business content(BW) for Document number..lot of InfoObjects has come..so, how to choose Exact InfoObject for R/3 field BELNR (Document number from BSEG table)..

There is a table which will give info on datasource regarding which r/3 field is mapped to which bw infoobject. which is the table which will furnish that kind of info.

SAP R/3 Fields to BW InfoObjects Mapping Documentation

Hello everyone,
As a newbie, one of many challenges that I face is to map SAP R/3 fields to its corresponding InfoObjects in BW. I've learned that we can run transaction SE11 and view table RSOSFIELDMAP, in order to know the mapping between OLTP Source Fields and InfoObjects.
However, there are many fields that have not been mapped in this table, like PAYR-CHECT, PAYR-ZBNKN and PAYR-ZBNKL, to name a few.
So I just wonder, has anyone out there compiled this mapping into a document or published it on any web site?
Appreciate if you could let me know about this.

Hi Fulham,
In help.sap.com, you can check out the datasource and the fields mapped from which table. Just check the business content section.
eg. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7a/c3143c26b8bc00e10000000a114084/frameset.htm and click on any of the available links under datasource.
I find this extremely helpful when I need to find out the objects and the tables. Hope this helps.

Finding InfoObjects for DS Fields

hello friends
I have tried to map the DS fields to InfoObjects in RSOSFIELDMAP table, but i am unable to find the InfoObject mapping for the following fields
MB_GRUND, BMSCH, USE04, USR04, VGW03. these fields are present in the standard DS for PP.
How do i find the relevant info objects for the above fields?

I got InfoObjects for two fields from this table.

Infoobject - table field relation

Hi All,
is there a way to find out what infoobject is to be related to a table field from a R/3 infosource?
For example, I was checking in infosource, and found out that table field BKPF-GJHAR is related to 0FISCPER infoobject.
How do I know what standard infoobject is to be related to a standard table field from R/3 ?

i Checked above fields... not aviable in this datasorce...
Display the data source and find the Extract Structure name (starts with MCMC04P_0MAT). Go to SE11 and append the structure and add the fields that you want to add there. Check and activate and the new fields will be available now
or..

Go to enhancement... in Lo enhancement

CRM fields not populating in BPS layout for opportunity Planning 0crm_order

Hello Support,
We are using SAP CRM 5.0 SP09 with BW 7.0 SP 09.
When creating an opportunity in CRM, the product data ( quantity ,
values) are not appearing in Planning tab( SEM-BPS Layout) .
Kindly let us know what needs to be done to resolve this issue.

In your CRM system, check your mapping from CRM to BW are correct.
You can do this in transaction SPRO. Menu path 'SAP Implementation Guide --> Integration with other mySAP components --> SEM --> Change mapping between CRM fields and InfoObjects'. Select planning application 'OPP' and click on 'Mapping table - system entries' on the left.
In here you should see the mapping from the InfoObject to the CRM field (eg. Infoobject 0CRM_EXPREV uses structure CRM_BW_OPPT_H and field name EXP_REVENUE).
In order for the value to be passed to planning you must tick the 'Empty' checkbox on.

Modelling the fields in the cube from different source system.......

Hi,
I need to create one query on the cube.
User want some of the fields in the query which are present in diffrent source system , rest of the fields are present in the cube.
These are master data fields ( 7 fields in total) from other source system.
Cube gets data from one ODS.
some steps I need to do are :
1) create new source system
2) Create corresponding objects in BW.
3) Model the things in ODS and cube
Can somebody let me know what is the best way/steps to model such scenario.

Replicate both the data sources to BW.
Create 2 infosources/transformations, map them to respective fields and infoobjects.
Now assign them to cube and load the data

Assigning a 0LANGU field

Hello all,
A custom datasource is getting me text fields for allowance type. When I try to schedule it gives me a warning 'Assign a language field to the IOBJ LANGU; long text'.
Details of this warning:
This can lead to:
the extractor delivering all languages from the source system when the load is executed (generic extractors)
error RSAR 527 or
runtime error INVALID_TEXT_ENVIRONMENT.
Procedure:
Procedure
Select the language field as a selection field in DataSource ZBXB_ALW_TYPE_TEXT maintenance in source system PHECLNT010 and assign this field to InfoObject 0LANGU in transfer rule maintenance in BW.
In the BW Scheduler, tab page Updating, switch on error handling for cases where a DataSource does not contain a language field. Choose the option Updating Valid Records: Reporting Possible (request green). Enter a value in the field Cancel According to Number of Errors that is greater than the expected number of incorrect records.
A prerequisite for using error handling is that data has to be loaded using the PSA. You can set this in transfer rule maintenace in BW.
I initially ignored this, but now when I am trying to load data, it errors when there is a entry with a same long text for 2 fields.
Eg:
Country Function           Shrt Desc     Lang Key
AT         All of comp       Abandonment   DE
DE        All of comp       Abandonment   DE
The description for this is:
Diagnosis
    There are duplicates of the data record 1 & with the key 'ABANDONMENT O
    D &' for characteristic ZHRALWTYP &.

   If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This allows you to maintain your master data.

Hi KK,
In general you will wind up with susch errors, if u forgot to map any o fhte fields inur DS to an object in ur BW.
Check ur Transfer Rules for that Ds and then assign that 0lang fields to an object in BW.
One more thing while maintaingn master data if u get dulicate recor errors you can eliminate that error by making these changes in ur infopak
Goto Processing tab of ir Infopak.
There select radio button Only PSA
   Next select two Check boxes there.
      one for updating data targets
      Another one for ignoring duplicate records.

How to find information from a field in R3 to get it in Business Content

Hi all, my case is this:
i want to learn how to get or struct a model in BW, for example, my task is make a query where the client wanna get information , and he told me the fields, ok, in R3 i got the name of the field (NODISCONCT), the struct (EANLD), and others fields more, ok, now i have to activate the data model to load this fields in InfoObjects, thats the problem, i dont know how make my model and find it in Business content, i was looking for in http://help.sap.com but i couldnt find it, but i want to learn more how to do it, and the best way to do this task, help me guys, i know this is a very important step that i must learn very well to make my carrer in BW, i ll really apreciate it !

client will give you that these are the field i want . for this report. From report you can get idea
What is on it . Here you need to think you want to go top down or bottom up.
bottom up - you need to check with data source. then this datasource is related cube or dso and then report
just play with help.sap.com in bi content you will get idea

How to change Infoobject length in Datasource - Netweaver2004s

We are using Netweaver 2004s and when I try to load data using flatfile getting the below error.
I have mapped legacy field HSTDRWMO of type NUMERIC 8 with BW field ZMONDRW of type QTY.
I am getting the following error:::
Error 'The argument ' .00 .' cannot be interpreted as a number' while assigning character to application structure *****
In DATASOURCE I tried to change the length of the BW infoobject in the length box from 17 to 8 and it is not allowing to change. When I change, it is automatically resets back to original length.
Is there any other way to change the length in this screen rather than changing the infoobject itself.
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.

let's have another look on Ron's reply:
As he said, a datasource consists of fields (see tab "fields", column "fields"), not infoobjects. There, I understand, you typed in your field name ZMONDRW. Then, I suppose, you typed into the column "template infoobject" the same name. That's why BI uses the length etc of the infoobjct ZMONDRW for your field in the datasource.
You do not need to fill in a "template infoobject". In that case you are free to define your field ZMONDRW in your datasource. I hope that might help you.

Problem in mapping Infoobjects in Transfer Rules

Hello Friends,
I need your help regarding following issue:
I installed ODS named STABILITY STUDY : INSPECTION RESULTS QUANT. DATA (0QM_DS02) from Business Content.
The ODS & Update Rules have been installed properly.
Few infoproviders had been already installed at the time of implementation, hence majority of the infoobjects existed from before. Only few were new.
Now when i tried to map transfer rules, newly installed infoobjects are not seen in data source.
The data source is 2LIS_05_QE2 and few of the infoobjects not being mapped are:
Sum of Target Value (0SUMSOLLW)
Target Val.Available (0IND_SOLLW)
Phys. Sample Number (0PHYS_SP)
Inspect.Lot Origin (0LOT_HERK)
Inspection Method (0PMETHODE)
Plant of Insp. Meth. (0PPLANT)
Insp. Meth. Version (0PMTVERSION)
Can any one suggest me how should i proceed??

Dear Anuradha,
Before installing transfer Rules or infosource first u have to install the datasource in source system and replicate it into bw.
If u have done this already then u want to map some objects in transfer rules then u have to check whether those fields available in the datasource , If they are available then goto transfer structure click datasource/transfer strucature tab there right side box u can see the unmapped fields in black colour move them to right side then go to transfer rules map those fields to infoobjects.
If the fields are not there in the datasource u cant do any thing just activate the transferrules.
Assign points if it solves ur problem...........or clearly reply what is ur problem.

Field in Flat File DataSource

I created a Flat File DataSource.
In the DataSource, I enetered InfoObject 0OUTAGTARGT in the Fields tab ->InfoObject Template column. I want this InfoObject to be mapped
into field KTWRT (Target Value) in R/3 table EKKO.
However, when I enter the the InfoObject 0OUTAGTARGT and hit Enter key, system prompts me to copy the properties. I choose Copy.
And then it says:
Reference field 0DER_CURR was added automatically.
Now I have ORDER_CURR entered in the Field column, with InfoObject Template 0ORDER_CURR.
In the Field column, I replaced the field ORDER_CURR with WAERS (Currency field from R/3).
When I save it, I hit the following:
Missing currency field / unit field ORDER_CURR
System expect the field ORDER_CURR to be entered in the Field column. But in my source file, there is no field call
ORDER_CURR. It is actually WAERS.
How can I overcome this?

Maintain 0ORDER_CURR as it is needed by 0OUTAGTARGT.
Next, simply map WAERS to the ORDER_CURR field.
But it doesnt allow me to change. In DataSource ->Fields tab, I try to replaced the field ORDER_CURR with WAERS. When I click on Activate, I
hit the following:
Missing currency field / unit field ORDER_CURR
Please help.
