Goto SAP easy access menu and Accounting-->Vendors -->Information System -->Reports for Accounts Payable Accounting -->Master Data -->S_ALR_87012089 - Display Changes to Vendors
Also in SE16 you can check table LFA1 with fields SPERM Centrally imposed purchasing block and SPERR to know whether it is blocked in company codes

Hi experts,
To add new fields in vendor master i have followed the following steps :
1.) Appended a structure ZRTGS in LFA1 table with required fields and activated
2.) Added new button in xk01( vendor master ) using spro -> logistics-general -> business partner -> vendors ->
control ->adoption of customer's owaster data fields -> prepare modification free-enhancement of vendor master record
Created a screen group ZR and defined label tab pages with function code ZRTGS and saved entries
3.) Created a implementation for BADIs VENDOR_ADD_DATA and VENDOR_ADD_DATA_CS.
4.) Created a program with my own subscreen for the required fields
The button is getting displayed in XK01, XK02 and XK03 respectively. Whenever the button is clicked the subscreen with
the fields is also displayed. But whenever i try to save the data in either XK01 or XK02 it is not getting saved in to the
database table LFA1.
Request your help in this regard.

New Date field for Vendor Invoices
The business would like the ability to enter an additional date (date invoice is received by AP) for vendor invoices. There doesn't seem to be any additional date fields available in the BSEG/BKPF tables. We want the field available in the TCodes where vendor invoices are entered or parked (FB60, FB65, FV60, FV65, MIRO) We are on ECC 6.0. Can anyone help answer the following questions:
Are there fields available for this that I am not aware of
Have others added new custom fields to any of the above TCodes?
If it is possible, is the field created in a custom table? Would we need to create new custom TCodes for the 5 programs used to enter invoices?
Any details or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the Header text fields (XREF or XBLNR) to capture this info
You can make use of the XREF1 to 3 fields in vendor line item as well to capture this info. Make these fields mandatory in the field status group or use a validation in GGB0
Another option is you can add a custom field to BKPF table and it will be visible to you in all the transactions you need

Withholding tax fields in Vendor master is not avbl to config as sensitive
Hi,
I need to configure, fields in Withholding tax accounting as sensitive fields in Vendor Master.
Table reference for Withholding tax is LFBW.
But the fields from this table are not avbl for configuring in SPRO.
It gives an error message as: This field is not allowed.
Is there any other method to add the required fields from LFBW table to configure them as sensitive fields.
Or adding the fields as sensitive is restricted for few fields only.
Pls do the needful.

Masking Certain Field in Vendor Master Data
We have a Enhancement which involves conversion of Vendor Numbers.,It so happened that a category of Vendor Codes were the Social Security Numbers.
Now that due to Privacy Laws etc they are converting that number logic which is throwing challanges.
The first Step is to convert Vendors from XSSN to Y123 and the second is also retain the social number in a encrypted field as it is used for 1099 reporting.
I am aware that there is a standard functionality for Credit Cards Numbers Masking but not sure if there is any thing for special fields on Vendor Master.
If you are aware of any options to handle the switchover or masking certain fields pls share them with me.

Solved - Group Fields for Vendor Master Records in IMG
This was the solution.
The new field's data element I added to LFB1 did not have the "change document" field checked. I made that change and now that field shows up in IMG.
Hello all,
I added an append structure to the table LFB1. This structure has 1 field. I then created a "Modification-Free Enhancement of Vendor Master Record" to add the new LFB1 field to the vendor master screen, edit and display screens. This is the 3rd time I have done this. So far so good.
Now our functional analyst went into IMG to add this new LFB1 field to a "Group Fields for Vendor Master Records" which we have done 2 other times.
The new LFB1 field does not show up in the list of possible Table-fields.
There must be some other step I am missing.
Does any of this ring a bell? We are on version 4.7.

There are several tables that are contain Vendor Master related data which can be used for extraction to BW. Some of the tables which can be useful for you are:
LFA1 : Vendor Master (General Section)
LFM1 : Vendor master record purchasing organization data
LFBW : Vendor master record (withholding tax types) X
WYT3 : Partner Functions
LFBK : Vendor Master (Bank Details)
LFB1: Vendor Master (Company Code)
ADRC: Addresses (Business Address Services)
ADR3: Fax Numbers (Business Address Services)
ADR6: SMTP Numbers (Business Address Services)
ADRT: Communication Data Text (Business Address Services)
You may use the Data sources mentioned in the previous update from Venky above namely :
0VENDOR_ATTR --- for master data attributes
0VENDOR_TEXTS -- For texts
Since the fields that you are using are from different tables so its better if you go for a Generic Data source where you can use the fields as per your requirement.

Field fixed vendor for purchase requisition (component of project)
Dear all,
Could you please indicate us how we can automatic fill the field "Fixed Vendor" (FLIEF) in a purchase requisition comming from a component of an activity (of a project)?
The field "Desired Vendor" (LIFNR) is filled automatic in the purchase requisition, based on the vendor given on the activity (field: RESBD-LIFNR)...
We want that both fields (fixed and desired vendor) are filled automatic in the purchase order...

ThomasIf you have maintained source list(ME01) and "info record"(ME11) for the desired vendor and material combination. It will default as "fixed vendor" in PR. Of course when you copy PR into PO, it is going ot copy the same.

Trying to Add IBAN Field to Vendor Changes Report
Hi,
I need to add IBAN field to vendor changes report (S_ALR_87012089).
These are the steps I took:
1) Go to OBAT and add new field group
2) Go to OBAU and add new fields to field group created in (1)
However, TIBAN fields cannot be added to the field group.
Are there any workarounds?

Head Office field in Vendor Master
Hi,
We have entered a Head Office Vendor in the Vendor master ( Branch).
Now at the time of PO creation system has correctly fetched the Branc Vendor address.
When we are trying to post the Vendor Invoice we are getting error "Different invoicing party 400065 planned in purchase order xxx
Message no. M8286.
As the Head office Vendor is fetched at the time of Invoice we are facing this error.
How to resolve this? The Invoice is to be posted to the Head Office Vendor only.

Is maintaining the partner function ,mandatory for using the Head Office field in Vendor master?
What I can observe is, during MIRO system is able to fetch the Head Office Vendor even if the PO is for the Branch Vendor.
The error which I mentiond appears due to this only as there is a conflict between two Vendors.

During the creation of Vendor master ,Needs to make the Field Purchase organisation as a mandatory. I have checked the in the following configs.
Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Vendors
Define Screen Layout per Company Code (Vendors)
Define Account Group and Field Selection (Vendor)
The option is not available. for the above requirement.

DPIn many companies the address data is maintained by different people than accounting data and purchasing org data.
I would not like that accountants to create my purchasing org data, and I am certain that my accountants dont want the buyer to create his accounting data.
if you could make this combination mandatory, then the user would have to maintain all screens at the same time, which may result in delays. as he can only start once he has all data available. SAP standard allows to create a vendor with general data and purchasing org data and purchasing can start buying. the company code data is only needed in the moment the goods arrive.
So you gain time to collect the data while you already started business.
Further, not all vendor master need to have purchasing org data. and not all vendors with purchasing org views need a company code view.
e.g. a restraunt may send you bills for lunch, but you do not place purchase orders with this restaurant. No purchasing org view needed here.
a goods supplier, that is needed for Intrastat purposes only, does not need a company code view, as you will never get invoices from the goods supplier. -

Custom field in Vendor Master - track field changes
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to enhance vendor master (XK01) by adding custom fields. I did this, but now the customer needs to track changes made to this field. He expects to see the changes made to this custom field using menu path 'Environment -> Field Changes' from vendor master transactions (XK01, XK02, XK03). I have enabled the track changes in the data element, so that field changes can be tracked in CDPOS, but that is not enough. Please help to find solution. Thanks.

I added the new fields to vendor master using the SPRO option:
'Prepare Modification-Free enhancement of Vendor Master Record' in the following path:
Logistics-General -> Business Partner -> Vendors -> Control -> Adoption of customer's own master data fields. This created a button on vendor master, and my field is in a pop up box which is generated on click of this button.
This field is stored in LFM2 table.
I have enabled the change flag in the data element of the custom field, and it is showning the field changes in CDPOS table.
But the problem I face is how I can avoid going to the CDPOS table and instead use the menu option :
'Environment -> Field Changes'

Required entry field External Vendor number is Empty
HI All,
For my client scenario I need to use TRUST module Business partner Number (Role: General Business Partner) for our Fx-Real estate because When ever Employee join in company General Business partner will created and for TRUST requirement they are assigning customer role for BP and subsequently in FI vendor master will create for Employee.
So as per client requirement I need to use same Business partner with role of Land lord with vendor account and I will give link this Business partner to FI vendor master.
But While assigning Landlord with vendor account role for that business partner system showing the error Required entry field External Vendor number is Empty.
Solution is highly appreciated.

Selection field for vendor categorisation

I have request to find a proper field for letter code and description in vendor master for vendor categorisation. (Like for example Order currency field in Vendor Master) The field must be minimum three caracter long.
Further this vendor categorisation data will be required to appear in some reports.

You can use many fields for vendor categorisation purposes such as mainting SIC code, Industry type etc. The best place to do this is General section/control tab. there are fields under referece data section such as LFA1-KRAUS Credit Info number that can be used or you can append the LFA table with custom fields. Sometimes these fields are suppressed and not visible in Vendor master screen. To enable them you need to navigate to img-financial acc.-acc. receivable&payable--vendor accounts -- master data -- Preparations for Creating Vendor Master Data -- Define Screen Layout per Activity (Vendors) and change from suppressed to optional or mandatory.
