FIFO STRATEGY FOR STOCK REMOVAL

Dear Experts,
I have problem, I have assigned FIFO Stock Strategy for Stock Removal in all storage types, but I am facing problem when we recieve sales return (with reference to old sales order),  our company wants that the removal of old sales return to be done first by system automatically, please confirm, how to achieve this.
Please help urgently.
Regards
Ishu

Hi
FIFO works on the GR date against the quant
You can use LS22 to 'change' the quant and in there you can change the GR date
The issue is that because you receive the stock in on say 01.03.2011 that becomes the GR date even if the stock is 6 months old
Therefore changing the GR date to say 01.06.2010 (or earlier than your existing stock) itmeans that it will get picked earlier
I hope that this helps

  • FIFO for stock removal

We create TO either through LT01 ot LT10 and we follow stringent FIFO. So when we create a TO using LT01, system goes by FIFO but user have the flexibilty to change the source or stock removal bin. Also in LT10, user can pick any bin for  a material , doesn't really need to follow FIFO. Even the user creates TO without following FIFO,
Is there a way to track down which user failed to follow FIFO for stock removal  Do we have any user exit available?
    Thanks

If the FIFO is followed properly, the stock must be removed from the designated bin according to strategy. If you look your TO list by any other bins for this material, you can identify the TO and the user created that. This is a manual way of finding the user.
I don't believe there is a report to show this.

  • How to put bin information to table T_QMAT thru user exit for stock remove?

    Hi,
I have already use stock removal strategy 'F' and checked the flag 'User exit active', but the value in table T_QMAT filled by the standard system not include all vendors. So I need to use stock removal strategy " " and set up the table T_QMAT by the user exit.
Do you know what is the user exit and the ABAP coding to put bin information to table T_QMAT for stock removal?
    Best Regards,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,
You can use the exit: EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 to populate t_qmat table based on your requirements. As you have already mentioned, it is important to check the flag: User exit active in SPRO, but bear in mind the stock removal strategy has to be BLANK. If you use F, then standard SAP auto-populates the T_QMAT table.

    Narendra.

  • Strategy for Stock Posting (Upload)

    Hello Experts,
One of the clients business is having around 45000 materials belonging to spares. They have 1 plant and 20-30 storage locations.
Out of the total storage locations, around 15 are spares related.
So in this case, what should be the best strategy for stock upload:
    1)One material document having 999 materials-1 plant - 15 storage locations???
    OR
    2)One material document having 999 materials-1 plant - 1 storage location???
    OR
What else could be the best strategy. Can anyone suggest?
    Regards
    Mahesh

why do you need to have 999 items in a document?
having just one item per document makes migration much easier, maybe not faster, and it certainly creates much more documents. But believe me, 2 days working with the system and you have already more material documents than you created with the initial load, why trying to save ressources then with migration.
Espcially if you have to cancel something, e.g. if the price was wrong as you loaded the stock, then it is easier to cancel the document when there is only 1 item.

  • User exit for stock removal strategy.

    Hi Experts,
I have a scenario that I want to use FIFO stock removal strategy which is based on the old MRP price in the storage type. How

  • WM -Storage bin 3000711133 ( nothing but TO no)  blocked for stock removal

    Dear Friends,
1.User has created TO for 2 qty.
2.While confirming it , he has put 1 qty in qty diff - could be by mistake,
3.Now this one qty is went to stock differnece - Storage type 999 and the storage bin as "TO" number.
4.I suggested them to clear the differnces through LI21 , but they dont want to do it , as it will heat financial accounts too.
5.They want to transfer this one qty from 999 storage type to the required storage type
6.I tried with LT01 - user mvt type 999 , & also 201 , and used souce storage type as 999 and storage bin as TO no, but i am getting message -Storage bin 3000711133 ( this is nothing but TO no)  blocked for stock removals
7.even i tried with LT09 - but it dosent work...
It should allow to move the material from 999 through lt01 , in our case it is not allowing, could you please help me to resolve this issue, if i need to do some customisation changes then where i have to do?
Thanks & Appreciates your earlier response.

    Hello Om,
I request few corrections for my last post.
As understood now, you picked quantity was 2 pcs , while confirming user has mistakenly put 1 pc in qty difference field.
Here when user has entered 1 (reduced quantity that the delivery quantity in outbound delivery) then he has to enter difference indicator for reduced quantity which must have been configured in the system.
Now say that you have deliver the 1 pc which was confimred in TO to customer, at the same time your delivery must ahve been updated with pick and pack quantity as 1.
But still 1 qty lies in interim storage type (XXX) with stoareg bin as trsnfer order number.
Now to put this stock back in original stoarge type and bin.
You please try LT01 with movement type as 999 which is warehouse supervision.
Now in next screen you enter the stoare type (XXX) and stoareg bin i.e. your transfer order number in source data
and destination storage type and bin will be automatically picked.
Now Press Enter . 'You will get warning message as check you entries' ignore that message and save
Hope this will help you. Also if you are getting any erro message with above please give us the detailed escription of erro message

  • WM - Stock Placement and Stock Removal Strategy

    Hi Gurus
    Need yr expertise..
What would be the ideal stock placement strategy if need to store standard pack in one location and partial quantity in another location?
    example:
standard pack for material A is 100pcs
if GR 250 pcs, TO need to be created for 200pcs at location A (since it is standard pack) and
50pcs at location B (sicne it is partial)
The same logic aplly for stock removal strategy. If customer order of 200pcs, system need to pick
from location A (since it is standard pack). If customer order 50pcs, system need to pick from
location B. What will be the ideal stock removal strategy?
    Please advise
    Rgds..Sanjay

yu can make use of the small/large stock removal strategy and for the concerned material in WM 2 view you can give the control quantity like if the requirment is of >200 pc then storage type 0002 should be used to pick the goods otherwise if required quantity is less then system should search for storage type 0001
    this is a standard strategy

  • Large/Small quantity stock removal vs partial stock removal.

    Hi All,
I am trying to get following configuration in place: Stock removal A (partial pallet) with Full stock removal "Checked" and return the unused stock to storage type mentioned under "return storage type". But I am getting following error "For Compl. Stock removal or SU managed, either pick point or return to same bin). But if you see the SAP documentation it allows this configuration. My 2 storage types which I am using have SU & non-SU managed with putaway strategy as "next empty bin" as we don't know what are the weight or quantity restriction on each rack location for now.
My second config issue is related to usage of stock removal strategy M (large/small qty). Like mentioned above I have to area; SU & non-SU managed. And I would like to use F (FIFO) strategy for non-SU managed inventory and use M for SU managed inventory with an option of checking if the quantity is higher than SU, pick the remaining small quantity from non-SU managed place. Can I acheive with different stock removal at storage type level; one with M and another with F or do I need to have M.
Let me know if more clarity is required to provide responses.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    For 1:
Partial picking can be done on a SU with the usage of a pick point . The pick point is a place where materials are brought and moved for a partial pick up from an SU. In the std system storage types 010 & 011 have been defined for the same.
you may refer to the following link: Partial pick using a pick point and how you carry out with SU's invloved.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c6/f85c504afa11d182b90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    For 2:
When you want to use M  as the stock removal strategy, the following needs to be done:
    1) You define a "small" storage type where only a limited quantity can be removed. ( the control qty in the WM2 view of MM)
    2) You define a "large" storage type and this will be removing quantities above the control quantity limit
    3) Define the control quantity of all those materials that you want to be picked from the small storage type. (This could probably correspond to your SU qty, )
you need to have the smaller storage type set as "M " and when you are customizing search strategy for the storage types ( SPRO> LE>WM--> Strategies >stock removal strategies> Define strategy for large/ small qty, you can then define the first storage type for E as smaller storage type and then the larger storage type  i.e. the second one should be higher than the preceding one.
    Please see if this helps.

  • No stock removal strat

Hello group!! can you say me how does WM work when I select the picking strategy "No stock removal strat" (blanck)?
I made some tests and it appears to take storage types and bins in an alphabetic order? Am I correct?
    thanks!

Hello group!! can you say me how does WM work when I select the picking strategy "No stock removal strat" (blanck)?
I made some tests and it appears to take storage types and bins in an alphabetic order? Am I correct?
    I don't think that.
If I remove the stock removal strategy and I define only that storage type in the search sequence I get error message L3 008 ("System cannot find source storage bin").
If you fill the storage type search sequence with "***", stringent FIFO will be used:

  • Issue on complete stock removal

    Dear All,
I am configuring WM in my test system.
Can anyone tell me what are the settings reqd for complete stock removal from a storage type so that the extra qty is returned to the source/destination storage bins when I create a TO against a delivery.
I tried the following assignments but its not working.
    1. Shelf Storage type (which is my source storage type) I have ticked the Full stock removal as well as return to same bin indicator. (Since SU Mgmt is active for the storage type).
    2. Assigned a Return Storage type & bin in  601 mov.type.
    Note:
System is picking the full Qty in TO only if I tick the overdeliveries indicator in 601 mov.type. Why ??
With the above assignements system is neither displaying the Return storage type & bin which I mentioned above  nor  my source storage type (shelf Storage) when I create a TO against a delivery.
Please advice how to solve it.
    Hope its clear.
    Regards,

See as I mentioned above if I tick the return to the same storage bin in my source storage then system will remove the complete quantity from the storage bin irrespective of delivery qty when I create a TO using LT03. But the quantity which will be displayed at the time of TO creation will be the delivery qty & the remaining qty will be blocked for removal till I confirm this TO using LT12. Right ??
    As I mentioned before:
    A) "Return stock to same bin" > Yes, the SU will be blocked for stock removal and the TO quantity is the delivery qty (not the qty of the whole SU)
    B) The difference of whole SU qty and delivery qty will get to the pick point
. When will we put the tick in the Retain overdelivery field in the interim storage type (916). & whats its effect ?
because return to same bin option is mandatory if we put the full stock removal for SU managed storage types.
In case of SUM is active, the "Retain..." indicator has no meaning, because whether you use "Return stock to same bin" indicator or pick point.
("Return stock to same bin" is not mandatory in case of SUM is active, other option is pick point.)
    2. Do we use the return storage type & return bin in the mov.type - 601 & also the return Storage type in the storage type master only incase of Non-SU Managed Storage types, If not, when will these fields come into picture incase of SU Managed Storage types.
To be more specific, Suppose If I assign a Return Storage type & bin in the mov.type settings or if I assign a return storage type in the Source storage type when will this be determined in LT03 ?
    1. I wanted to assign "Return storage type" in case of SUM is active > I got error mesage LT088.
    2. Even if return storage type was defined for the WM-mvt, it didn't have any effect in case of pick point (and it has no meaning in case of "Return stock to same bin").
Based on point 1&2 I think these settings are not applicable for SUM.

  • Stock Removal User Exit

    Hello All
We are using user-exit, MWMTO004, to choose our bin for stock removal during TO creation.  However, there are many checks that SAP does and we arent sure if by over-riding the Bin if we are by-passing any of those checks.
If anyone has used the above user-exit can you please give suggestions.  Thanks in advance for your help.
    Thanks
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
Can you tell me, from which transaction code this user exit is triggered.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Putaway Block and Stock Removal Block  en masse on Bins

    Dear Gurus
Is there a way that we can put a Putaway block and Stock removal block on more than one Bin at once
Using LS11 - Change bin selectively, allows me to choose more than one bin to change, BUT the option is not there to allow me to put a putaway block and stock removal block collectively
    Please advise
    Many thanks
    Tony

    hi,
use LS06 and give the storage type and WH no...you can block all the bins for that storage type in one go for Stock removal and putaway.

  • Stock removal FIFO in storage types

    Hi...
Multiple storage types AB01, AB02, AB03, AB04 (high rack storage types) are there in EWM warehouse.
    Putaway completed,
for article A in  AB03 storage type having GR date 09.01.2013
for article A in AB04 storage type having GR date 12.02.2013
for article A in AB02 storage type having GR date 20.03.2013
for article A in AB01 storage type having GR date 12.04.2013
As per FIFO stock removal strategy sequence must be as follows
    1.     AB03
    2.     AB04
    3.     AB02
    4.     AB01
Currently its going in the sequence AB01, AB02, AB03, AB04.
Can anyone share the FIFO stock removal strategy config
Please suggest how this can be corrected.
    SAM

    Hello,
I suggest you to Define Storage Type Group and assign your storage types to Storage Type Group. Then, in your search sequence, you assign Storage Type Group instead of Storage Types.
System will follow the search sequence as you mentioned.

  • User Defined Stock Removal Strategy

    Hi,
We want to define a user defined stock removal strategy while creating TO for delivery using transaction LT03. This can be done in user exit MWMTO004. Although we modify the output table T_QMAT in this exit as per requirement , the TO is not split as per the table.
SAP proposes all the batch bins in table T_QMAT , but if all the delivery quantity is found in first bin itself , the TO is created with that bin only , no Split. We wish to split the TO as per table T_QMAT.
How to split the TO as per proposal from the exit ?
    Please provide some ideas.
    Regards,
    Tushar

    Hello,
You can change the Storage unit type in this exit EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 of TO creation transaction.
I am not sure, If this helps you.
    Thanks and Regards
