Figured out how to fix network connection errors!

If you downloaded Itunes 7 (the latest version)
First...
Start>Run> type cmd> click OK> type ipconfig /flushdns >click return.
If this doesn't work, then go back to the Run and search Services.msc > click OK >Double click DNS Client> General tab >Click "Automatic" under the Startup type drop-down.> Click Start.
Itunes should now show Error -3221. Go to McAfee and alow Itunes and ItunesHelper.
The music store should now work!

Glad you got it going!
Sounds like windows networking & McAfee were blocking itunes.

So iCal won't sync now as I've had to change my gmail password.  Anyone figured out how to fix this?

Yes, I go to Settings>Mail>Gmail. I've deleted the old Gmail account and added it back with the new password. I've also deleted the account, shut down the iPad and iPhone and then re-add the Gmail account with the new password and it still doesn't work for either device. The error messages I get are:
For the iPad: Cannot Connect Using SSL
For the iPhone: The user name or password for "imap.gmail.com" is incorrect.

• I am having problems with my optical corded mouse that came with my iMac (it's about 2 years old) It stops working periodically, and I can't figure out how to fix it; doesn't look like I can open it to clean it, or anything like that.

My corded optical mouse (model A 1152),which came with my desktop  iMac, stops working periodically.  The little tracball may work scrolling down a page, but not up, sometimes, and I have yet to figure out how to fix it, or why it happens at all.  Is there someone who has had that problem, and what did you do?

Hello:
Turn the mouse upside down and run it (vigorously) over a piece of paper.  Better yet, run it over a microfiber cloth.

• One day it just stopped focusing and the pictures are blurry.  If I switch it to the front camera it works well and looks like it should but when I turn it back it goes back to being out of focus and I can't figure out how to fix it?

i installed ios 7.after  that my primary cam, one day it just stopped focusing and the pictures are blurry.  If I switch it to the front camera it works well and looks like it should but when I turn it back it goes back to being out of focus and I can't figure out how to fix it?

This advice will sound like a joke or prank, but believe me it worked on my iPhone 5 and my daughter's.  The lens mechanism got stock on each of our iPhones.  We found a post on these message boards that said to hold the iPhone about 6 inches above a table or counter top and drop it so that it lands flat on it's back.  Now try the camera ...Fixed!  It has been more than six months now and neither of our iPhones have ever experienced the problem again.

• Has anybody figured out how to fix the battery consumption with mountain lion (using a MBP 13")?

I upgraded to Mountain Lion, and yes despite all of the warnings posted in the App Store reviews about the battery life being cut in half, I upgraded my MBP anyway. Chalk this one up to the Black Cloud of "I Told You SO!" My MBP could hold a charge for almost 6.5 hours. Now I'm luck if I can get 3, but in most cases I may get 2.5 hours if I'm conservative.
Has anyone figure out how to fix this battery problem? Even now after having it unplugged for almost 2 hours...I'm getting the "You are now running on reserve battery power" message. What a freaking joke!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.  Click %CPU until the triangle points down beside it.  Make sure it says All Processes in the upper right.  Check for applications taking up lots of CPU time.

• Figuring out how to fix a Binary Download Fail error message

Hi, Every time I turn on my Gateway desktop computer I get an error message in the bottom right corner of the monitor: "Binary Download Fail. Please try again." Nothing happens when I click on the box and it doesn't offer any further information
or explanation. I can only close the little window. Is this something I have to worry about? I want it to stop but can't figure out how to do some diagnostics to fix the problem or make it go away. Really could use some help here. Thank you to anyone who can
assist me!

• Cant figure out how to fix my labtop, Acer Windows 8

Hello,
Something was uninstalled on my labtop (acer, windows 8), it was something that had to do with office. So now when I try to open any files made in word, excel, powerpoint, ect. They wont open.
This is what I have tried and gotten no luck:
1) I tried reinstalling Office Mircrosoft Professional Plus 2013 (This is want I installed when I first got the laptop). When I put in the disk it asks me if I want to run it, when I click on YES, another message pops up saying: Something went wrong,
sorry we ran into a problem, try going online for additional help. (Which hasn't been helpful).
2) I tried doing a System Restore, but it ran through the restore and didn't change anything. I tried doing it again, but it now wont even let me do a restore. So I tried the Advance System Recovery, but it wont run also.
3) I then went into the Run System File Checker tool to troubleshoot the issue. A list of all the programs (expect for office) popped up and the only problem it
came up with was that the Blue Tooth Audio Device has a driver problem and needs to be reinstalled. But I don't know how to do that. And I'm not sure what I'm even looking for in the list of programs for the troubleshooting.
Also, other issues I'm having is that its telling me I cant change things unless I'm the admin, but I am and I don't have any other user accounts set up. It also tells me I have things open in other accounts and so I cant make
changes to whatever it is at the moment I'm trying to change. I've been trying to change a few things not know really what I'm doing.
Any advice or steps to take to figure out how to get my labtop working like normal?
If the issue still exists, run System File Checker tool to troubleshoot the issue:
1.
Insert the Windows 7 installation DVD into the DVD-ROM; Click Exit if the auto-menu pops up.
2.
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
3.
At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER

Do you mean in your from field or the signature field?
where does it show up...? it wouldn't be on the iPhone as that doesn't show a from field. Check the account details in MM open it up go to settings and check you typed it in right simple as that if it's on someone elses hardware when they recieve an email from you then they need to fix your name in their contacts.

Each version of Photoshop has its own installation path therefore a different application as fars as Wacom Configuration.  You would need to set preferences for each Photoshop installed on your system.  However if you know XML.  Wacom Tablet Preference File Utility can save your Wacom preferences into an XML file.  That you may be able to duplicate a Photoshop install and the change the Photoshop Path. Or just change the prion version pathe the the new Photoshop path then restore your Wacom Preferences using the modified XML preference file.
Here you see part of my wacom preferences I have set preferences for all Photoshop installed on my workstation.

Since upgrading to mavericks, my email autofill in Safari is incorrect and I can't figure out how to change it.  I start typing my email [email protected] on a website and that I need to put my email in (like to request a newsletter etc).  As soon as I get to the @ it fills it in as [email protected]@.  It is baffling and frustrating. Any ideas?  Autofill in general, for all my info (adress etc) works fine.

• How to handle network connection error to bussiness service on OSB

Hello everyone.
Thank for your attentions. I need some help for error handling in OSB 11g. I have a proxy service that route to a business service to check profile status. I'm using java client to consume proxy service and return result to customers. The problem that I'm face to is the handling network connection fail.
I want to get some message (or any useful information) from proxy service to report that connection to Business service is unavailable when that connection fail. I tried to add Error Handling but I cannot found that action from option list.
Can you review my proxy service and tell me some resolutions?
Any suggestion is appreciated.

you could add an error handler on the route-action in your proxy service.
in there you could investigate the $fault variable and for example check which BEA-... errorcode comes back.
then you can decide what to reply back..for example create your own soap-fault and set your own messages.
now the default $fault generated by the osb itself will get returned

Hi Al,
Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

• Unicode (?) Displaying and Can't Figure Out How To Fix

Since this thread was closed:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/979466
I've tried everything there. I've cleared font caches in Windows 7, I've changed languages back and forth, etc.. Still can't get sites to display right in firefox or chrome. ie works fine.
Example page:
http://rxspeed.com/auto-parts/accel
Screen capture here:
https://www.diigo.com/item/image/59bq9/stnu

Is the issue still there after upgrading.
Here are a few more things to try:
1) Start in safemode:
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
* Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
;
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
If that does not work try
Restarting your PC
IF the restart does not work you can try a Clean reinstall
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from mozilla.org (or choose the download for your operating system and language from this page) and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu and click the close button ).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*Windows:
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Installing Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found here.
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not use a third party uninstaller as part of this process. Doing so could permanently delete your Firefox profile data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. <u>These cannot be easily recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!</u> See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. <!-- Starting in Firefox 31, the Firefox uninstaller no longer lets you remove user profile data.Ref: Bug 432017 and https://support.mozilla.org/kb/uninstall-firefox-from-your-computer/discuss/5279 [Fx31] Windows uninstaller will no longer offer the option to remove personal data -->
