File 2 idoc with bpm
hi experts
can u send me the blogs of file 2 -doc with bpm (bpm collect pattern etc) and user defined functions in file 2 idoc
Hi,
User Defined Function are not generic,
It depends on what you are trying to do and the requirement,.
Please take a look at this link for some examples,

Hi All,
I have one File to IDoc Scenario. Now I want to throw posting error in a file.
i.e., if mapping goes not well and when IDoc is being sent to Recipient system then if any posting error is encountered, then a file(Flat file) will be created at sending system side.
I am planning to design this scenario with BPM. Now end user requires a akwoledgement for this scenario eithere it may be succsess or failure in file format. If succsess the file will be created with succsess information(any format), either failure also file will be created with error information. The user requires only file format b'coz this file will be read by another java application (user didn't require to his mail).
Can anybody suggest the solution for this:
1. How to generate aknowledgement file for sucsess or failure.
2. How to use this file to idoc scenario in BPM with out using Alert configuration or Mail adapter.
Regards,
Konala.Hi,
As you know Idocs are used for asynch communication, only was to get acknowledgemnet is using ALEAUDIT. For your scenario there can be one work around. When you post IDoc in the, in that function module after the posting is done call one more RFC with the the success/failure message which will trigger RFC to File sceanrio.
If you get any other solution, please post it back to same thread.
Thanks,

Send file sequentially with BPM
Dear,
in my scenario that I'm developing I need to read txt files and send them to SAP ECC through Abap Proxy. I need to send file by file to SAP ECC sequentially. That is, I need to read the file "file1.txt" and send to SAP, then read the file "file2.txt" and send it to the ECC and so on.
How can I do this?
You can use BPM?
What are the steps to implement the BPM?
Regards,
Sérgio SalomãHi sergio
Just for this functionality no need to use BPM , it will degrade performance
rather you can use simple file adapter with quqlity of service EOIO. for EOIO it will use seperate queue and files will be in oredr

Soap to File Scenario with BPM
Hi Guys
I have create my Soap to File Scenario using BPM to split the file on "Transformation step" into 7 files and it must save these files to my FTP Server, when testing on sxmb_moni I don't get any errors but when checking on the FTP server no files are created, and I understand that it should be showing all seven processing on the sxmb_moni, but that is not happening.
I have used the ForEach mode on my Block.
What could I be doing wrong.

Issue in File to RFC to File Scenario with BPM using Block Step
Hi Everybody,
I am doing File to RFC to File Scenario for multiple records using BPM using Block Step. The File Message is getting posted and after that, the message is getting stuck up in the qRFC Monitor (Inbound Queue).
After seeing the message in Inbound Queue, I am trying to execute and release the message. But when i execute the LUW, it says " Function module doesnt exist or EXCEPTION raised" in Inbound queue.
Could somebody suggest me the outcome of this? What does this mean and how to
release the stuck up message in Queue.
Thanks and Regards,
N.Jayanth KumarHi Rajesh,
After going through the blog, i saw the trace messages. It says
" The exception occurred (program: CL_SWF_XI_INBOUND=============CP, include CL_SWF_XI_INBOUND=============CM00F, line: 19)"

ID : interface determination - Interface mapping (file- IDOC with externa)
Hi,
scenario : XML file read and mapped to Multiple IDOC in single message
all IR stuf are done but in the ID I cannot choose the mapping interface
here is a document of everything that was done...http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dcsvs2n3_51jnrfw6
Thanks for the helpHi Stepen,
Simple for Reciever Business System did you add the Idoc itself that was imported as Receiver Interface..
Just double click the Receiver Business System and Then click Receiver and See if the IDOC name exists other wise insert it...
<b>Also In</b> the Interface determinatin select the actual idoc that you imported and not the XSD....
Finally if the above doesnt work Try this since you are using ED create Message Interface and mention the xsd as MT.... and in Interface Determination use the Actual idoc imported and not ED ....

Hi,
Current Interface Flow - File (xml) to Idoc (single Idoc type)
Thirdparty sends a File for Goods Receipt. This file may have multiple orders.
Orders are sorted in an xslt by ORDNUM. Each record has a delivery type (Deliver Type PO or Delivery Type STO). For each order Graphical Message mapping occurs.
In case of PO, inbound delivery number and item number have to be received from ECC via an RFC call and passed to VBELN and POSNR. While in case of STO, source field ORDNUM and ORDITEM are passed to VBELN and POSNR. (RFC call happens only for POs, not for STOs)
In case of STO, TCode will be MB0A.and IDoc would be WMMBXY (As is the case right now)
In case of PO, there may be two cases -
a) There is at least one response from ECC for all the line items inside an order --> in this case TCode will be MB0A and IDoc is WMMBXY .
b) If there is no inbound delivery number for any line item from ECC inside an order --> TCode MB01 will be used and IDoc used is WMMBXY
So for all the above cases Target IDoc is WMMBXY.
Changes to be done - Now File (xml) to Idoc (Two different Idoc types, WMMBXY and DELIVERY03)
Now there is an additional requirement that I will be using an additional IDoc (DELIVERY03) in above case a).
I want to use BPM in this case
1) RFC call in message mapping to get the inbound delivery number (for POs only) (Should be before the message enters BPM)
2) Separating the messages based on IDoc type
3) Interface / Message mapping for each IDoc type
4)Send the message to ECC
Please suggest how to proceed with BPM
Thanks,
Varun

Multiple files to idoc without bpm
Hi
I have gone through the previous threads and came to know that n:1 is not possible without bpm. But in case of idocs you can collect them in r/3 system itself using RSEOUT00 program. But if my scenario is like.......you have 10 files which are coming through ftp and we have to send the idoc to the target system. Is there any way to do this scenario without bpm ??
Thanks

Hi Gurus,
I have a scenario where by i will need to collect idocs from an R3 system, perform a transformation and output the results into a flat file.
I looked at various blogs but am still pretty confused.
For my scenario, do i need to configure a receiver determination to pass the idocs into BPM?
( If the answer is no, how does the idoc get pass into the BPM? )
or do i just need 1 receiver determination to output my result from the BPM into a flat file?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
At the moment i have 2 receiver determination
1. from R3 Outbound async to abstract async of BPM
2. from BPM abstract async to inbound async
1 receiver agreement
BPM to a service with a file adapter
I've also configured another simple scenario without BPM, just sending a IDOC from R/3 to XI with a simple transformation and exporting the output into a flat file. Its working fine and im able to see the XML messages in SXMB_MONI.
However, for the BPM, when i try to click on the process view via SXMB_MONI, it says no message found. I'm suspecting that somehow the idoc is not even passed to the BPM but i am unable to see where have i gone wrong.
Any help will be much appreciated.
THanks in advance. -
Hi Experts,
My requirement is that i need to read text file line by line and post IDOC to R3 with 3 minutes delay.
That means, between two idocs that got posted ot R3, there shuld be 3 minutes delay from XI.
Is this possible, If it is possible how it si possible?
Thanks,
SubbuHi,
Two Mappings involved are:
1..source file to idoc imported as external definition (whose occurance is 0..unbound)
2..file(idoc imported as external definition) to IDoc
1) When you are spllitting messages with 1:N mapping in BPM, with what name you saved the multiple fies at target.
in BPM after receive step u need to add transform step where u specify ur mapping and there ur messge is getting spilt. and in File adapter for receiver give file name as temp.xml and choose option as add timestamp..so that ur file name will be "temp<timestamp>.txt" when it gets created and in sender file adapter choose option as "delete" bcoz if u don't delete it ...XI will just keep generating new multiple files
2) How could you manage picking files at 3 mintes intervals from file communciaion channel from FTP.
Now while picking file, in file adapter give file name as "temp*.xml"...here this * plays main role as it picks all files starts with temp...and again select "delete" option ..else XI again will just keep picking file forever
and in polling interval in sender file keep 3 mins delay
Hope this clears ur doubt.

File to IDOC with ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Hi,
Can anyone tell how to handle acknowledgment in FILE TO IDOC scenario. ( no BPM please )
Just tell me steps for this with any example but without using BPM.
Thanks in advance..hi Prateek,
>>You have to keep in mind that the acknowledgement in this case would be sent in the form of ALEAUD from receiver SAP system to XI. It could not be directly sent to file system without BPM.
actuall it can be delivered to file system without a BPM
you just need to specify that aleaud from this sender are treated as XI request messages
unless I got your response wrong

IDoc-to-File scenario with external Partner ... PCK necessary?
Hi all,
I have a question concerning to a IDoc-to-File Scenario with an external Partner. Here is a short Description of the Scenario:
The SAP ERP System creates an IDoc which should be send to the SAP Integration Server. The Integration Server respectively the IDoc-Adapter transform the IDoc in IDoc-XML. The Integration Server executes a Mapping and so on. In the final step the Integration Server should send the XML-File to a FTP Server in New York (external Partner) with the File/FTP-Adapter.
Have I to install the Partner Connectivity Kit at a Server in New York or is it working without the PCK? Which are my possibilities?
Thanks for your help
with kind regards
ChristopherHello,
If the FTP server has connectivity to XI and if the
port is open XI can directly do the FTP using File
Adapter.
Thanks,
Himadri
Hi,
thanks for your quick answer.
What means "connectivity to XI"? Our SAP-Environment is in Germany and the FTP-Server is in New York. Is it enough to open the port in the firewall?
Thanks for your answer
