As you can see above there is no specific format for the sender file.if you are using wildcard you have lots of ways to make selection for the file

  • I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad).   Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes so I want to restore it.  Dont want to lose my files from my iPad.

Actually I have 2 problems:  I cant find my pdf/ibooks on computer after backing up my iPad (they are on my iPad).  I looked under Ipad, I Books, PDFs, and it doesn't show them on the computer. How do I manually transfer these files?
Also, I'm having issues with my Ipad turning off about every 2 minutes, and I want to restore it.  I want to make sure all of the files are backed up before I restore.  My trouble started when I was trying to update my IPad but it was taking too long (internet was scetchy) so I powered off...now Im having problems.  I haven't tried to update again since this problem. Any suggestions?  Should I restore? Should I update to 7.0.6?  (currently 7.0.3).

  • A new file creating in 'C' drive automatically for every 3 minutes in Windows 2003 SBS

    Hi
The files are in this format with 32bit count {00000000-0000-0000-0000-00000000000} and all are the same with different file names and they are encrypted.
Please let me know why they are creating for every 3 minutes & what is the purpose of these files and if we delete will it be a problem.

    Hi Hemanth.D,
Before going further, would you please let me know the file type of those files which created automatically?
Meanwhile, please let me know the detailed path of those files in C drive.
In addition, did you install any third-party application (may run periodically) on the SBS server recently?
If possible, please perform a clean boot and check if this issue still exists. Please open Event Viewer and check if relevant events were logged.
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Best regards,

  • I have a Network notification pop-up every ten minutes they says "There was a problem conecting to server. URLS with type "file;" are not supported". How do I get this to go away?

Ever since I updated my software to Mountain Lion, I've been getting the attached pop-up every 10 Minutes. It's really slowing down my web-browsing and super annoying... How do I get it to go away?

Take a look at this link, https://discussions.apple.com/message/16156214#16156214

  • Bought HDMI adapter to play movies from my iPad but it will stop every few minutes, Bought HDMI adapter to play movies from my iPad but it will stop every few minutes

Once I begin to play a movie from my iPad to the TV using the HDMI adapter it will pause and lose sound every few minutes.  I am using the video app and the movie plays fine if not connected.
I have also checked to make sure that everything is connected properly.

Well, I thought it was solved... or at least solved enough to live with. I had originally installed 2.6.31 from testing to try and fix this issue, and it substantially improved, but now it's gotten worse again. At home on a WPA network, it drops maybe once or twice a day. Here on this unencrypted network, it's going out once or twice every half hour. Same error messages as above.
I tried reinstalling, but ended up with the same errors almost right away. This bites!
Anyone have any other ideas to try?
    Thanks,
    Scott
EDIT: I tried rebuilding rt2x00-rt71w-fw from source. PKGBUILD has the incorrect source link. So I actually went to the ralink site, downloaded the (hopefully correct) driver package, unzipped it and copied rt73.bin to /usr/lib/firmware --overwrote the existing copy. I haven't got any errors yet, but it's only been 20 minutes so far. We'll see. I'm not sure if it's the identical rt73.bin that's currently in the repos or if it's different. Forgot to compare the two before I overwrote the old one.
EDIT2: No luck with the different rt73.bin. Also tried the new Ubuntu karmin beta and got the same errors -- and a freeze when I pulled the adapter out when it stopped working.

Downloaded new iOS for iPhone 5. Now the handset is running hot, keeps freezing on different screens, won't charge on official charger ( only charges on crap poundland one) and battery is loosing 1% every two minutes! I've closed all apps and reset the complete phone but no luck. Any one know what else I can try apart from a new phone?

I have done a factory reset at 45% battery. After the reset it's still hot and at 35% now

  • IMAP every 15 minutes not reliable - Am I the only one?

I had the problem since 1.1.2 (on an unhacked T-Mobile Germany iPhone) and it seems to get worse with 1.1.3.
Pulling mails using IMAP from my .mac account works for an hour or some hours then it stops to pull mails every 15 minutes. When I manually start the mail program it loads all mails. So my settings are correct. When I reboot my iPhone the problem is gone for a while but then comes back. Am I the only one because I read no other post with this specific problem.
Deleting and recreating the mailbox on the phone did not help (and I found out that deleting a mailbox from the phone does NOT delete all information from the phone, a cache of the IMAP messages is still kept). Even a full recovery (including restore from backup) on the phone did not help.

I solved the problem now this way:
    - Did a complete reset of the iPhone and
    - I did NOT restore from a previous backup.
Instead I entered all my settings manual again, like IMAP Servers, all phone settings etc.
For now the problem is gone. Works reliable for a week or so. Knocking on wood...

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am using the date and time auto-update in the system preferences with the Apple Time Server.  I have the identical setup on two other systems (another MacBook Pro and an intel Mac Mini) and they don't exhibit the problem.
When I disable the auto-update and reset the clock manually using ntpdate and the NIST server, the clock only gains a second in three days with respect to the NIST server (using ntpdate to check).  When I turn the auto-update back on the same symptom recurrs.
Any ideas as to what might be causing this and how to fix it?

    Barney-15E wrote:
It's not your clock. There is more to network time protocol than just setting the system clock that is in the computer. Take a look here: http://www.meinberg.de/english/info/ntp.htm
Well, that's very interesting.  Thanks.  But it doesn't explain why only one out of three identically configured computers manifests the symptom.

  • Dock crashes every 15 minutes - help

For a few months now my Dock has been crashing every 15 minutes. It's not causing any damage - that I can find anyway - but it is rather annoying. Below is a crash log report for this occurrence. I've deleted the Dock prefs file and replaced Dock.app from a computer that isn't having this problem. I'd like to avoid reinstalling my entire OS if I can avoid it...
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!!

I'm having the same problem. My crash log looks similar to the original poster's (I can post it here in its entirety if that's necessary). Additionally, here's what's printed in the system console:
    10/27/08 Oct 27, 8:20:40 AM ReportCrash[2005] Formulating crash report for process Dock[1966]

I'm not a command-line guru but a few months ago I configured launchd to start MySQL when I boot my machine. I don't remember specifically what I did (I used some directions I found online) but I could probably find it again if I looked. Noticing that launchd is mentioned in this console output, is it possible that is responsible for my crashing Dock? If that's unlikely, I don't want to waste my time hunting that down.
I've had this Mac for about 13 months and I've never had problems with it. Now I'm having a number of issues. I don't know to what degree they're related, but I'm trying to resolve them one-by-one, starting with this Dock issue. I'll list my other problems here in case they're related...
I use Spaces. Yesterday, I was surprised to find that Spaces had turned itself off, resetting the default preferences and forgetting all my application position assignments.
Front Row crashes very frequently when trying to play a DVD.
When I use my video adapter to display on my TV, I can mirror the display but I can't extend the desktop. I used to be able to do it, but something changed.
The computer does not sleep on its own anymore. I will leave the laptop open overnight, and when I wake up the screensaver is active but the screen is still on.

  • Quorum/Witness Disk Offline every 15 minutes error - Event ID 1069 - Event ID 1558

2 node active passive, 2008 failover cluster.  I keep getting the following error events:
The cluster service detected a problem with the witness resource. The witness resource will be failed over to another node within the cluster in an attempt to reestablish access to cluster configuration data. Event ID 1558
Cluster resource 'Cluster Disk 1' in clustered service or application 'Cluster Group' failed. Event ID 1069
However my quorum disk is online from what I can see.   One thing I did notice is, the Quorum disk no longer has any files in it. It is just a empty drive.
I also noticed these errors are being entered every 15 minutes exactly.
I monitored the Quorum disk and it is going offline momentarily every 15 minutes.
Experts Exchange Posts indicate this is known issue and waiting for microsoft to deliver SP2?  Really?
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/OS/Microsoft_Operating_Systems/Server/Windows_Server_2008/Q_24751092.html
    Any thoughts

support.microsoft.com/kb/2750820 - This does not resolved your issue because it applies only to the Quorum model Node and File share majority.
The issue is because of the cluster configuration corruption and cluster I checking after every 15 minute and is seeing the cluster quorum disk in failed state (actually it is not failed) but is not able to update the current state of the quorum disk.
Check for below logs in the cluster logs:
00000d84.00000f58::2014/11/18-19:04:06.805 INFO  [QUORUM] Node 1: Witness Failed Gum Handler [QUORUM] Node 1
00000d84.00000f58::2014/11/18-19:04:06.805 INFO  [QUORUM] Node 1: witness attach failed. next restart will happen at 2014/11/18-13:19:06.797
00000d84.00000ef8::2014/11/18-19:04:06.805 INFO  [QUORUM] Node 1: quorum is not owned by anyone
Try reforming the cluster, it will resolve the issue.
Change the quorum model to Node majority and back to node and disk majority.
Stop cluster service on all the nodes and then start them back when it is stopped on all the nodes.
    Thanks

  • Change desktop background every N minutes broken

so i posted about this before, where i had my background set to change every 5 minutes, but it would happen more often. i was recommended to delete and rebuild the the particular plist controlling this... thought it did the trick, but now i've changed it to every 15 minutes, and it still changes every 3-4 minutes.

there is only one advice to give in this situation - rebuild that plist again.
Delete the file homedirectory/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist and log out/in.

  • WRT400n reboots every few minutes

HI,  I have this router and was working great......  THEN I get this great idea,  oh yeh, check to see if there is a firmware upgrade and there is.  Well I updated it with the newest and only one out there.   I did the upgrade, said sucessful and now it will just random reboot or something........ every few minutes the power light starts flashing....... then all the light go out, then power flashes again and it comes back up.   I have tried many times to reflash it with that new firmware but no avail.  I wish I had the old firmware back because it was working fine till I did this upgrade.   Anyone or Cisco persons have a solution for me,  can I get a copy of the original firmware or what is going on.    I am about ready to switch brands.... I've been a loyal Linksys/Cisco guy for long time but this and couple other routers I worked on are getting me to wonder.  Please help.......... thanks.

Yeh I have done a hard reset numerous times....  I have re-flashed it 3 times.   I just did flashed it again, and did a hard reset and setup my router settings the way I want it.  I will see what happens overnight and repost my solutions.  My guess is it will start acting up again...... I've tried everything.    Does anyone know where I can get the original flash file for the WRT400n,  it was working fine till I tried to update with the latest one.....  should have left it alone.  If I can't fix it....... I am switching brands.

  • Finder crashes every few minutes.

    I'm working on a 2007 MacBook Pro 17".
I installed Mavericks, but noticed that an important application wasn't working on it, so I downgraded (from a Time Machine backup) back to Mountain Lion.
Ever since, Finder crashes every few minutes, making it unable to use my Mac.
    Can somebody please help?
That would mean a lot to me.
You can find one of the crash reports on my Dropbox as a .txt-file.

    Try deleting the Finder .plist.
You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist.Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist.  Move the .plist to your desktop.
Re-launch Finder by loggin out/in and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got it  from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your User library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
    Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after every update. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

  • Iwlwifi disconnecting every few minutes

    Hi!
I've got an intel wifi card (Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (rev 34)), using iwlwifi. Every few minutes I get disconnected from the AP and when trying to reconnect it fails most of the times. Reloading iwlwifi or the networkmanager doesn't help. Is this a bug or may be something wrong with my configuration?
    Thanks!
Edit: I am using a Toshiba portege laptop

    Hi all,
I've installed Arch Linux recently on my laptop and I've been experiencing the same problem myself. I tried jumping from Gentoo forums to Arch Linux forums to you-name-it forums to find an answer to this problem but nothing worked for me.
In these forums, you will find many posts with commands that say that fix that problem (this post will be eventually one of them) but somehow fail to do so in your laptop. I don't know if there is an one-answer-fits-all, but through these searches -and some experimentation of my own- I've found a rather aggressive approach to make my wireless connections more robust. I disabled IPv6 and most of the card's hardware-intensive options.
Still, since this way probably will not work or appeal to most of you, I'd also like to provide a more coherent approach to this problem, so that you will know where to go to after reading this post (than endlessly Google searching).
    Step 0: Know your enemy
The problem I was dealing with was similar to the original poster's and happened consistently. When my signal's strength wasn't good and the network card had lots of traffic (downloading a file while watching YouTube while ...), the download speed would abruptly come to a halt. Removing and re-inserting the iwlwifi module would fix it temporarily, but later on it would relapse. Also, there was no apparent error to troubleshoot, since iwlwifi would print on dmesg only the re-connections and not any error.
The above was experienced with kernels 3.2, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7. I can't say for sure that all versions of these kernels are problematic, so you are free to check it out your self. An easy way to check if patches were issued about iwlwifi in a specific kernel version can be found from here. Just compare the dates of the file changes between different kernel versions.
Also, you might want to know that the wifi was working seamlessly with the 3.3.8 version of the kernel. Thus, if you want to check out a different linux kernel, I'd suggest you start with this one. Obviously, this is for people using Debian or other distros that rely on older kernels. So, our first question would be...
Step 1: What is your kernel?
You can find a description of your system with this command:
    uname -mor
    My output is:
    3.7.1-2-ARCH x86_64 GNU/Linux
Step 2: What is your hardware?
It is very important to know what your hardware is. If you have the same hardware as I do, then you probably have more chances to fix it. If you post a question in another forum and then mark your question as solved, people would like to know what your hardware was. If you send a bug report to the iwlwifi team, they will need your card's model.
    So, write:
    lspci | grep -i net
    My output is:
01:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 130 (rev 34)
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 06)
Step 3: What is your problem?
You can see more debug info about your problem by writing:
    dmseg
or to filter through these messages:
    dmesg | grep iwlwifi
If you see any errors, tracebacks etc. then these are bugs and you'd best search for similar bugs here. If there are no similar bugs, I'd suggest you create a new bug report. The people that answer in this list are core developers of the iwlwifi module and you'd best send them these bug reports in order to help them track down these problems.
    Step 4: Solution (?)
    GRUB
The are many ways to disable IPv6. I did it using GRUB:
    sudo cp /boot/grub/grub.cfg /boot/grub/grub.bak #For backup reasons
    sudo nano /etc/default/grub
Add this option "ipv6.disable=1" to the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=, so that your GRUB looks like this:
    GRUB_DEFAULT=0
    GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
    GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="Arch"
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="ipv6.disable=1"
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""
    Finally, do:
    sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
    sudo reboot
to update your grub and restart your laptop. If anything goes wrong, you can restore your grub.cfg file using the backup grub.bak we created above.
    IWLWIFI OPTIONS
Provided IPv6 is disabled, you can check in real time which of the following options make a difference, without restarting your laptop:
    sudo modprobe -r iwldvm iwlwifi
    sudo modprobe iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 auto_agg=0 swcrypto=1
You can learn more about these options by writing:
    modinfo iwlwifi
Hopefully, you will experience no disconnections from now on.
Now, in order to automatically pass these options at startup to iwlwifi, you can create a *.conf file inside /etc/modprobe.d directory.
    nano /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
    And add this line:
    options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 bt_coex_active=0 power_save=0 auto_agg=0 swcrypto=1
    Step 5: This %@#%@ @#%#% doesn't #%@#% work
Well, bummer. I'd highly recommend to inform the developers of iwlwifi about your problem, as I've mentioned above. If the dev list intimidates you, post about this problem here.
    Good luck...
    Edit
It's likely that you may encounter the following strange behavior when trying to connect to your access point.
    Copied form my dmesg:
    [  904.190052] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: L1 Enabled; Disabling L0S
    [  904.197452] iwlwifi 0000:01:00.0: Radio type=0x2-0x2-0x1
    [  904.886420] wlan0: authenticate with 00:26:44:b3:16:a4
    [  904.928370] wlan0: send auth to 00:26:44:b3:16:a4 (try 1/3)
    [  904.930494] wlan0: authenticated
    [  904.932220] wlan0: associate with 00:26:44:b3:16:a4 (try 1/3)
    [  904.939798] wlan0: RX AssocResp from 00:26:44:b3:16:a4 (capab=0x411 status=0 aid=2)
    [  904.942701] wlan0: associated
    [  915.641048] wlan0: deauthenticating from 00:26:44:b3:16:a4 by local choice (reason=3)
If the above is coupled with the netcfg's response:
    > DHCP IP lease attempt failed.
                                                                              [FAILED]
then you have just encountered a strange dhcpcd bug, which has nothing to do with iwlwifi.
You can find possible solutions here.
