  • Problem related to OSS Note - importing file problem

    Hi,
    I m facing an issue while implenting an oss note 430580 , i have to import files from sapserver.
    but i don't know how to do it.
    below is the description of my problem.
    Import the following files from SAPSERV:
    /general/R3server/abap/note.0430580/K000687.PLM
    /general/R3server/abap/note.0430580/R000687.PLM
    Import the two files into your system.
    For more information on SAPSERV, see Note 13719.
    Can any one tell me how can i get rid out of this prioblem.
    whether this is possible or BASIS Team can only do this.
    system details
    Operating system     SunOS
    Machine type         sun4u
    R/3 release 4.6C

    Well, these files are part of the zip.file which belong to the note. This is part of a regular transport and is normally done be basis. The data and the cofile (K....PLM & R...PLM) should be imported into your system. Before doing so they have to be transferred to the file server. Better let BASIS do these kind of things.

  • How to import an oss note related zip file

    Hello everybody.
    In order to apply an oss note to our systems, I have to import a .zip file containing two (non human readable) .u6b files.
    But I don't know how. Also, the correction instuctions are not helpful. They only say "To implement this new message class, import the attached file xyz.zip.".
    So I first tried to create the message class via SE91, then I looked for any transaction and/or utility in order to import this file, with no results.
    Is anyone familiar with this problem? How do I have to proceed?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
    I guess that this zip-file contains a transport. This transportfiles have to be copied in the /usr/trans/data und /usr/trans/cofiles and imported by the transaction STMS.
    Thomas Jung wrote how to do this in this: How to import examples from book "Advanced BSP Programming"
    Perhaps your basis administrator can help you to do this?

  • Error uploading file for OSS note 1644528

    I am on release 6.04, service pack 40, of SAP HRCUS.  I am trying to implement recently released note 1644528.  I extract the zip file, save it, go to SFP, pull up form HR_F_W2_MULT_11  to be edited, and run transaction code FB_XDP_UP.  I choose my file.  It spins for a little while.  Then I get the message "Error occurred while processing request".  Don't know what the error is or why, or if it updated the form.  (I suspect it did not as I did not get prompted for a transport request.)  If I click on the error message, it just repeats itself.  Has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it?
    Janice Ishee

    That is interesting.  Our Basis person says that note was applied this week.  But note 1644528 in its prerequisites says "You have applied SAP Note 1630701 - Year End 2011 Phase I for U.S. Tax Reporter".  It makes no mention of this second OSS note 1637361.  I wonder if there is some sort of conflict there.  I'll double-check with our Basis person to see if something might have gone wrong with its installation.  Thanks

  • The same filename from a sender to a receiver file adapter - SP14

    Hi Expers,
    I Have Gone through the link which is given bu Michal.
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    Here My Questions are.........
    1.Should we give any file name in the receiver side Adapter in this scenario.?????
    2.How wil be the Sender and Receiver Communication channel Parameters????
      What Are they???????
    Please Clarify me...
    Regards
    Khanna

    Hi Rajesh,
    Is your query related to sending the file name from the source xml document to the reciever file adapter. If so this can be achieved.
    Pls. do the following.
    1. In the mapping program that you are using populate the filename coming from the source into the target root element.
    2.Sender adapters can write adapter-specific attributes to the message header; these can then be evaluated at configuration time
    3. To change the adapter-specific attributes of the message header by using message mappings, you access the required classes of the mapping API by using a mapping runtime constant.
    <b>Note: You donot need to specify any filename in the receiver communication channel.</b>
    To access the classes DynamicConfiguration and DynamicConfigurationKey by using the mapping runtime constant DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION, use the method getTransformationParameters() of the container object.
    Create an simple user defined function in the mapping and use the following code.
    Imports: com.sap.aii.mapping.api.*;
    Parameter: String filename
    Paramter: String filename;
    filename = fileName + ".DAT";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container
    .getTransformationParameters()
    .get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create( "http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    conf.put(key, filename);
    return filename;
    You donot need to hard code the value of the filename in the file adapter for your interface.
    In SXMB_MONI, when you see the pipeline services you would see that the value of the filename is populated in the message payload.
    Thanks

  • OSS note 506603 What is it And where can I get it?

    Hello,
    I am trying to create my form with a SAP Table wizard connection, when I try to use the Table wizard I got the error: "No such interface supported". I can see in a lot of comments the solution is on OSS note 506603. I was trying to find this patch in the sdn site but I could not find it. I am not sure if it is a document, an exe file, a dll,,, and when I see the same question asking where to get the OSS note 506603 there is no answer, could somebody help me telling me what is this and where can I get the patch? I would really appreciate it.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Eden,
    How are you doing ?
    OSS note is the older nomenclature for what is now SAP Notes.
    They are available at :
    http://service.sap.com/notes
    you will need a service marketplace user id to log on.
    alternatively, if you do not have access to service.marketplace.
    send me an email [view my business card], i will reply with the patch. it is a few hundred kb.

    Summary
    Symptom
    Additional information for SAP.Net Connector that was not included in the guide.
    Other terms
    SAP .NET Connector, Proxy Wizard
    Solution
    SAP.NET Connector Version 1.0 has been available since Nov 21, 2002. You can download the software from http://service.sap.com/connectors.
    Version 2.0 is also available. Use only the new version for new developments.
    Report any problems with the SAP.NET Connector under the components:
    BC-MID-CON-DNW for problems with the .NET Proxy Wizard for Visual Studio.NET.
    BC-MID-CON-DNC for problems with Communication Runtime.
    Known problems
    1. The Proxy Wizard terminates with the error message "Exception caught in method createFunction for DD_GET_UCLEN Reason: null".
    This is caused by a missing function module, which can be installed as described in Note 580834.
    2. Corrections for SAP.NET Connector 1.0
    The updated version corrects various problems that have been noted during the interim period. You can download it from http://service.sap.com/connectors. To install this version, see the "Release Notes" file. For SAP.NET Connect 1.x, the newest patch-version is called "1.0.3".
    3. Corrections for SAP.NET Connector 2.0
    For Visual Studio Integration (Design Time) following problems have occurred:
    For proxies with several functions, the following runtime error can occur under certain circumstances: "Method xyz can not be reflected." The cause is a combination of an error in the .NET framework and the way in which the proxy generator uses XML-attributes.
    The SAP wizard table does not work. Existing tables are not recognized.
    Both problems are solved by the patch attached to this note. Stop all instances of Visual Studio and unpack the ZIP file into the "%Program Files%\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003/Common7/IDE" directory, whereby the "SAP.Connector.Design.DLL" file is replaced.

  • File to RFC Scenario - Not working with AAE

    I have a File to RFC Scenario (calling RFC /POSDW/CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT)  using AAE but it is failing with following error in PI .
    MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was <null>

    But When I run the same scenario using IE instead of AAE, it is successful from PI. So probably there is nothing wrong in RFC channel configuration.
    There's an OSS note-730870  on this error ,it says the XML document sent to RFC Adapter may not be RFC-XML but as I am using AAE, payload generated after technical routing cannot be viewed.
    Could you all please suggest why this error is coming and solution for the same?
    Thanks,
    Ankit

    Hi Debashish,Monica,
    Thanks for your help, I checked this SAP note its question 16 do describe my problem but do not provide solution and as I am using AAE it does not allows me to see the target structure generated whereas if I use IE the target structure generated is sucessfully getting posted.
    Also, the functional module is present in target system. I have reimported the RFC also.
    Is there some AAE related configuration required to enable AAE with RFC which could be missing?
    This is what I get in log as the RFC reciever is called..

  • How to create a Attribute "Type standard table OF" to a OSS NOTE

    Dear experts,
    I need to add new attributes in a standard class as per one OSS note. I took access key to add new attributes. I have a question.
    class name: CL_J_1BEFD
    Attribute: MT_GROUP_C350
    Level: Instance
    Visibility: Private
    Type STANDARD TABLE OF mty_result
    How do i add the instance attribute because i do not want to give the typing and associated type, instead i have to declare data: MT_GROUP_C350 type standard table of mty_result in class builder private section code.
    if you look at the pushbutton between Associated type and Description, for all instance attributes there's a green color lining below the arrow. I want my attribute also to be exactly same.
    Though i have access key, in private section the display<->Change button is disabled.
    Please suggest me how do i add code in private section of a standard class. i have required access key to change the class.
    Thanks,
    Alysson

    Hi Friend...
    Thanks, but the question is...
    When I went to transaction se24 or se80, I chose the class CL_J_1BEFD and second I swap to "CHANGE MODE".. after that the pushbutton is blocked... I can create the Attribute  mt_group_c800 in the Class (using TYPE or LIKE option), but i can't change the code in the private session even using the assistant to modify it.
    When I acess the Button "Detail View" the option "Direct Type Entry" is just unavaliable too, no matter what i do!
    I coudn't find a way to create the Attibute like the note Describes (SAPNOTE NUMBER 1575772 - in the attachment of the note)
    The changes are contained in the attachment
    Follows the instructions retrieved from the file:
    Add the following Attributes on the Class CL_J_1BEFD Private section
    data:
    mt_group_c800 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF mty_result .
    data:
    mt_group_c850 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF mty_result .
    data:
    mt_group_c860 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF mty_result .
    data:
    mt_group_c890 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF mty_result .
    How can i make a way to creat this attributes using  "TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF " Option?

  • File Adpater: Size of your processed messages

    Hi,
    i opened yesterday a thread aboud performance of file adapter, but i didn't get a satisfieing answer. So please give me following information:
    What was the biggest size of message which was processed by your file adapter?
    Every answer is welcome, even if the size seems to be small.
    Regards,
    Udo

    Udo,
    With content conversion , we have processed a file of size 64MB as one single message, it takes about 6 to 10 mins for our entire processing to complete(to go thru as an idoc to sap in our case).
    well, it will get worse , if you have a ccBPM in between.we had it initially(for validating & controlling the flow) and it took close to 2 hrs to go thru. It was not guaranteed as well, J2EE will autorestart(heap dump!!) and the processing will terminate at times. we had followed up with sap, tried tuning heap size & using large queues, but did not resolve the issue , removed ccBPM and it is ok now.
    so Udo , just the file adapter processing a LARGE message will not resolve ur issue, rather i beleive it may add to ur headache, once file adpater delivers the message to the IS.
    Wherever possible we had limited the message size using recordsets per message, when there was no choice, we had to take it in as one single message. strictly my personal experience here , i may be wrong, if so feel free to point it out, ll learn.
    Regards
    Saravana

  • How to do oss notes implementation

    Hi,
         can any one send me the screen shots for doing oss notes implementation.

    Hi,
    Please check this link
    http://www.sap-img.com/basis/oss-notes.htm
    http://www.saptechies.com/manually-applying-oss-note-on-sap-standard-program/
    In order to fix one of the problem in R/3 system, SAP will asked you to download an OSS notes which is a ".car" file.
    To work with a CAR File do the following at OS Level:
    Get into OS as <sapsid>adm
    Copy the .CAR file to a Temporary Directory.
    Uncompress the file with SAPCAR
    Copy the the data file generated in the data transport directory
    ( ej: = /usr/Sap/trans/data).
    Copy the the cofile file generated in the cofiles transport directory
    ( = ej: /usr/Sap/trans/cofiles).
    Run transaction STMS
    Upload the support package with SPAM transaction and the support package will show "New support packages".
    Best regards,
    raam

  • RPCAFIE0 - Automatismos / DUMP (OSS Note 1669690)

    Hello,
    Anyone with this rumtime error?:
    I think that the problem may be caused after implementation of OSS Note 1669690.
    RPCAFIE0 (AFI - Mensaje de Afiliación) generates an abend when creating the AFI file with "Automatismos".
    Dump occurs in RPCAFIF2 just in the code included by oss note 1669690:
    * BAdI to generate custom movements
      IF gv_is_implemented IS INITIAL.
        CALL METHOD gb_exit_obj->gen_automatism_data

            pt_p0061  = p0061_tab[]
            pt_p0302  = p0302_tab[]
          CHANGING

    Thanks,
    Rafa

    Any idea?
    Just as information we are under 4.7 version and we have a separate system for the upgrade to ECC6.0.
    In the server upgraded the RPCAFIE0 program does not generate runtime errors.
    The point of the abend has changed a little bit:
    * BAdI to generate custom movements
      IF gv_badi_return_code IS INITIAL.
         CALL BADI go_exit_obj->gen_automatism_data
           EXPORTING
             pv_pernr = pernr-pernr
             pv_begda = p_begda
             pv_endda = p_endda
             pt_p0000 = p0000_tab[]
             pt_p0061 = p0061_tab[]
             pt_p0302 = p0302_tab[]
           CHANGING
             ct_afitab = l_afitab_col[].
      ENDIF.
    * END OF CALL TO BAdI to generate custom movements
    There are also some differences in data declarations:
    Enterprise 4.7:
    DATA gb_exit_obj       TYPE REF TO badi_hrpayes_afie0.
    ECC 6.0:
    DATA go_exit_obj          TYPE REF TO hrpayes_afie0.
    And when debugging, on 6.0 go_exit_obj contains initial values and 4.7 ***illegal reference***
    Waiting for some help
    thx

  • How to reset OSS Notes with Question mark status in SPAU

    Hi,
    We are doing SPAU adjustments. In that under Note we have many OSS notes with status "Question Mark". We ran SAPRUPGM again. But still we have this question mark.
    We realized some of the notes are not applicable and want to reset. But when I select the note and reset, it gives a pop up to confirm the reset. I select "reset" there. But instead of reseting it gives me a popup asking to download the OSS note. If I cancel it it goes back to the initial SPAU screen. Nothing done. If I okay it it tries downloading the note.
    How to solve this situation?
    Can you also tell me if it is okay to leave the notes without resetting.
    Regards,
    Ravikanth
    Edited by: Ravikanth Tunuguntla on Aug 12, 2008 5:37 PM

    Appreciate the reply.  I of course did try to re-execute SAPRUPGM.  In background, it runs for 2 seconds and produces no log or spool.  When I run on-line, and un-tick the box for output log file, the resulting list shows these messages for the gree question mark notes.   These notes are no longer visible in SNOTE. Basically I'm stuck - with the green question mark, I don't know how to get rid of these Notes in SPAU.

  • STMS - transport .SAR file downloaded from SAP notes

    Hi,
      I have download .SAR files from SAP Support Portal and have used SAPCAR.EXE to unpack it.
    As the result, I have 2 files: K123110.L6B and R123110.L6B.
      I copied these K123110.L6B to my DEV server \usr\sap\trans\cofiles
    and R123110.L6B \usr\sap\trans\data
      I would like to transport it from DEV server to QAS server.
      So, I logon on to DEV --> STMS, I clicked on the "Transport" logo,
    then double click the DEV server.
      Then, at the menu bar, I goto Extras --> Other Requests --> Add and
    enter Transport Request: L6BK123110
      But, there is an error message:
      <b>Transport control program tp ended with error code 0247
          Errors: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile</b>
    I guess I must miss out some steps, can anybody guide me?
    I need to update the SAR file to my QAS server.
    thanks in advance.

    Dear Bruce,
    How to raise an OSS note:
    In service.sap.com, choose Keys and Requests -> Development Requests -> Create Development Request
    The Create development request form appears. It is divided into the sections described below:
    Classification
    In the 'Classification' section of the form, you can classify your request by selecting various criteria from the listboxes. This information is used for reporting purposes and to assign your request to a processor at SAP.
    Reporting unit is only displayed for information. It defines if you enter the request for yourself, on behalf of a Customer Competence Center (CCC), of a customer, or of a user group. Which entries are available depends on the organization you are working for.
    Priority defines the priority this request has for you.
    Industry is only displayed for information. This is the industry of your company.
    Other Industry allows you to select further industries if the request refers not only to your industry. To select more than one industry, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
    Component defines the application component to which your request applies.
    Core release defines the R/3 release you are currently working with.
    Add-on defines, in case the request applies to an industry solution, the specific add-on release you are currently working with.
    General provides generic features for a better classification of your request. If you wish to define more than one category, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
    Cross-component provides cross-component features for a better classification of your request. If you wish to define more than one application, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select the desired items by clicking on them.
    Only relevant for country allows you to specify that your request is only relevant for the selected country.
    Personal classification by requestor
    In the 'Personal classification by requestor' section, you can add your own classification criteria to the request:
    Classification 1 - 3: allows you to specify your own features, e.g., "Project xyz". You can enter any text up to 30 characters in these fields.
    Description
    In the Description section of the form, you can describe in detail the feature you request for the SAP software.
    In the Language field, select the language in which you are describing your request. For processing at SAP, all non-English requests will be translated into English.
    In the Short text field, enter a meaningful title for your request.
    The Long text field is mandatory. Use it to describe your request in detail. Even if you attach external description files, please enter a detailed description here.
    The Business need field is mandatory. Please use it to explain why the requested feature is needed for your business.
    The Example field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and enter an example for the requested feature.
    The Current workaround field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and describe which procedure you currently use instead of the requested feature.
    The Proposed solution field is collapsed by default. Click on the plus symbol to the left of the field to expand the entry field, and describe how you propose to solve the issue related to your request.
    Attaching documents
    You can also attach files that further describe your request, for example, documents or presentations. All file types supported by this site can be attached, this includes all popular Office formats.
    To be able to attach files to your request, you must have the Check In Wizard program installed on your computer. Otherwise, an error message will be displayed. If you do not have the Check In Wizard installed, click here to start the installation
    NOTE:
    This will automatically save your request with the status New. The request will, however, not yet be sent to SAP. If you have not yet filled in all required fields, the system will prompt you to do so before you can add an attachment. The attachments will be listed only after you have saved or sent the request.
    To attach a file, choose Add attachment.
    The Check in Files dialog box appears.
    Select the file you want to attach, and choose Open.
    A status dialog box appears. When the status The check in process has completed successfully is displayed, confirm with OK.
    The file is now attached to the development request.
    Repeat the above steps for any additional files, if required.
    Saving the development request
    When you have entered all required data you can save your request. To do this, choose Save. You can then edit the request and send it to SAP later. This allows a company or user group to internally manage, discuss and consolidate its development requests before it decides which development requests will be sent to SAP in the next step. (Development requests that are no longer relevant can be set to status Closed by author).
    Sending the development request to SAP
    When you have entered all required data, you can alternatively send the request to SAP immediately. To do this, choose Sent to SAP. You need a special authorization to use this function. If you had saved a request before but not yet sent it to SAP, you can send it to SAP later using this function.
    Resetting the request form
    If you make a mistake during data entry and want to reset all entries to the values they had when you opened the form, choose the Reset button.
    Closing the request
    If you find that you no longer need the request, you can close it. In this way, you specify that no further processing of the request is necessary.
    To close the request, choose Closed by author.
    (After closing, confirm the request to remove it from your inbox.)
    Confirming the request
    Confirm the request if you have received SAP's final decision. The development request will no longer be shown in your Inbox.
    To confirm the request, choose Confirm.
    You will find the answers in your SAP inbox.
