I have been able to send and recieve videos photos and files till today. i have the latest skype version. The only thing i did different today was when asked if i wanted to accept the file i said yes and ticked the box for "do not ask again'' ..can i reverse that? and will it solve my problem?..thank you

Connect the external drive to your Mac and drag the files from it to your Mac's internal drive. Then dismount and disconnect the external drive, connect the 1TB external drive, and drag the files from the internal drive onto the external. Nothing will have been deleted from any of the drives up to this point; the files will only have been copied. Verify that the files are readable. There's no reason they shouldn't be; this is just a precaution.
Now if you wish to delete the files from any of the drives, drag them to the Trash, and Empty the Trash while the drive from which they came is still connected. If you disconnect the drive before emptying the Trash, the files you were trying to remove from it won't be deleted. They'll remain in the Trash and continue to take up space on the drive.
Note that if your external drives are in NTFS format, you won't be able to write anything to them or delete anything from them, though you will be able to read and copy the files they contain. The NTFS disk format is read-only to the Mac OS, unless you have a third-party NTFS driver installed. To make your drives cross-platform readable and writable, you must reformat them in the FAT32 or ExFAT format.

Check Settings > General > Usage to display what's taking all your space.

Music and photos transferred into itunes and iphoto from external hard drive on to my new hard drive installed in my 2007 macbook

I just installed a new 250 GB SATA hard drive on to my 2007 macbook computer as the old one failed. I had backed up my old hard drive on to a 250 GB external hard drive using time machine via a USB cord. I am having trouble locating my music and photo files to transfer them into itunes and iphoto on my new hard drive. I have signed in to my itunes account, where it shows my app and book purchases, but not my music purchases. I have over 1,000 songs purchased. Any help would be appreciated- Thanks!

Since you have a current Time Machine backup of your computer you should be able to use the Migration Assistant to recover your music and photos.

Podcasts and tv shows videos stop and start when playing. The Audio flows fine, but video freezes for a moment and continues. Do you know what I can do to fix?

When watching a podcast or tv program on itunes the video freezes and starts. The audio still flows just fine. Do you know what the solution might be?

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.
No separate server app on the laptop, it's all samba
The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

I found an old iPod classic of mine. It's not synced to my new MacBook Pro. How can I get the music and photos off of it and on to my new computer? When I plug it in to my new computer it wants to erase what is on it and transfer from my new computer.

I found an old iPod classic of mine that is synced to a computer that is long gone. I want to get the music and photos from this old iPod onto my new computer. Every time I hook the iPod up to my new computer it wants to delete what is on the iPod and replace with the contents of the iTunes that is currently on the new computer. I don't want to do that. I want to keep what is on the old iPod and transfer it to iTunes. Any help? Thanks!

Getting someone's notes and photo on my iphone and icloud

im having problem with my iphone 5s and icloud, i keep on getting unknown notes and photo of someone i don't even know. my iphone 5s is my first and only ios devices and i only have 1 icloud/apple ID as well(created after i bought my iphone), which is why its weird that i keep on getting unknown notes and photo of someone even though i've already change my icloud password 3 thrice. im worried that if im getting their notes and photo that they could also see or receive my notes and photo as well. i've already read some post about similar issue but most of there problem was they have other ios device that they lost/sold with there apple ID/icloud still on the device, which in my case i don't have any other ios devices. i also have my photo sharing disabled on my setting. i hope someone encountered this same issue and help me fix it. Mac Pro Locked Up and Now One Video Card and Audio Not Working

Last night, my Mac Pro totally locked up to the point I had to power it off to get it to do anything. When restarted, one of my video cards and my audio are no longer working. I have dual monitors so tried switching the connections to see if it was the monitor and that was not the problem.
I tried doing a formal shutdown after the restart and this also did not clear up my problem.
Everything was working fine prior to the lockup. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Download and playback of video podcasts and vodcasts

Hi Folks,
I have looked at the Classic features manual, looking for info on downloading *video podcasts* and Vodcasts into itunes, and playing them in ipod Classic. I couldn't get from the manual what I needed to understand the video issue . Does anyone have any advice, anything that I should know, or do, before downloading and playing these two types of video? I have read bits here and there about having to chang format of videos for successful download to itunes and playback on Classic. I am not techy enough to understand. (Just as info, I downloaded "Best of YouTube." It promptly locked itunes forever. I couldn't even uninstall itunes and reinstall. I had to create another User on my computer, in order to get itunes again.)
Questions:
1) Do I have to do some sort of conversion to download and play *video podcasts* and Vodcasts?
2) Are *video podcasts* different from Vodcasts? Or are they the same format--just named differently? Is there anything that I need to do differently in the download process and playback of these two types of video? (FYI--The Bill Moyers show on PBS is where I was confronted with the *Vodcast.

you don't need additional tools to load the podcast or video podcast to your ipod, excepting an ipod manager like itunes, floola or juice.
Just provide the feed into the ipod manager that you use and you are done. Probably the simplest option is to go with itunes. You need an internet connection though.

VBA: Refresh and Clear with NO send and No dialogs

Scenario:
An input schedule has a button on it to "build" the schedule (DRE). Once clicked, VB builds the DRE and then needs to refresh it.
Problem:
There doesn't appear to be any MNU macros that will:
1. Clear input
2. Refresh
...WITHOUT sending and without prompting the user in any way.
MNU_eTools_Refresh
Prompt the user to clear input, which is not desired.
MNU_eSubmit_RefSchedule_Sheet_ClearAndRefresh
Sends the data, which is definitely not desired.
Is there a MNU macro that will refresh, clear, without sending and prompting? Or, does anyone know of a possible workaround?
