File Being processed in two cluster nodes

Hi ,
We are having two cluster nodes and when my  adapter picks the file, the file is getting processed in 2 cluster nodes.
I believe the file should get processed in either of the cluster node but not in both cluster nodes.
Has any one faced this kind of situation in any of your projects where you might be having different cluster nodes.
Thanks,
Chandra.

    I purchased an album, and all but two songs downloaded successfully. It says files being proccessed. It has been 1.5 hours.

    Hello James Dean,
    I would be eager to download the complete album I purchased as well.  I found a couple of resources that might help with downloading this purchase.
    First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted.  You can use the steps in this article:
    iTunes: How to resume interrupted iTunes Store downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1725
    If the remaining songs do not download after following the steps in that article, I recommend trying to download the songs from your list of past purchases.  As long as you are signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the movie, you will not be charged again.  You can find the steps to do this in the following articles:

    iTunes 11 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store

    If you are still not able to download the songs, I recommend reporting this issue to the iTunes Store:

  • Processing in  Multiple Cluster Nodes

    Hi All,
    In our PI system we have 2 Java nodes due to some requirement. When the communication channel runs and we check the message log, in one Cluster node we have a successful message. In other Cluster Node we have an error message that says "File not found".
    The file processing is completeing successfully on one Cluster node. But I wanted to know if there is any way to suppress the processing of the same file by same channel on another Node. Some setting in administration or IB where we can get this done.
    Is there any way to get this done by some setting?
    Thanks,
    Rashmi.

    Hello!
    As per note #801926, please set the clusterSyncMode parameter on Advanced tab of the communication channel with LOCK value.
    And also check the entries 4 and 48 of the FAQ note #821267:
    4. FTP Sender File Processing in Cluster Environment
    48. File System(NFS) File Sender Processing in Cluster Environment

  • Slow Time Machine backup with seemingly unnecessary files being processed

    Here are logs from three consecutive hourly backups during which my machine was not being used. Note that it takes 8 minutes to complete the backup, even though very few files have been added to the disk (I do webcam captures every 15 minutes via a cron job, that's it). What I find bizarre is that the backups appear to be performed twice, and the first time, it says it's copying a large number of files, though the total file size is very small.
    I've looked on the board here and tried various solutions, e.g., I've reindexed Spotlight, checked my disk (no problems), removed the apostrophe from my computer's share name, and applied the 10.5.6 Combo Update.
    Anyone have any other suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi, and welcome to the forums.
    First, it's easier to monitor backups via the +Time Machine Buddy+ widget. It shows the messages from your logs for one TM backup run at a time, in a small window.
    It's not unusual for TM to do what seem to be double backups. When it first starts, TM looks at the +File System Event Store,+ a log kept by OSX of all changes to the file system on your disk. It then estimates the size needed, and begins the process. When it finishes it's pre-backup "thinning," if any, and copying of changed items, it then checks again for any changes made during the backup, and does a quick copy of those items.
    TM does occasionally get something wildly wrong about counts and file sizes, as it clearly has for you. Sometimes this seems to be a problem in the File System itself, so I'd suggest you use Disk Utility (in your Applications/Utilities folder) to do a +Verify Disk+ on your internal HD. If it shows any errors, post back if you don't know how to use your Leopard install disk to fix them.
    While you're at it, a +Repair Permissions+ wouldn't be a bad idea (takes quite a while -- at least 20 minutes).
    You might also want to download the TimeTracker app, from www.charlessoft.com.
    It shows most of the files saved by TM for each backup (excluding some hidden/system files, etc.). This may give you some clues as to what's actually being backed-up on each run.
    Give those things a shot and let us know the results.

  • Query regarding Cluster nodes in CC

    Hi Experts,
    We have a query regarding the cluster nodes available in the CC monitoring.
    Can two nodes of a same channel can poll at the same time?
    Kindly suggest what should be done to make a specific cluster node of a CC polls at a particular time.

  • Cluster node does not shutdown after "received shutdown"

    Hi,
    We put together an automated restart process that restarts cluster nodes across multiple servers. To shutdown a node, we use the Coherence MBeanConnector and invoke stop on object: name=Management,nodeId=<member id>. This works for most cases where member's log output shows "received shutdown", partition transfer messages and after the last primary partitions have been transferred the VM exits.
    For one node however, the VM did not exit. From looking at the log file for this particular node, the primary partitions were transferred, the distributedCache thread stops showing output, but the Cluster thread continues to show activity.
    Note that this node was the last VM to stop on the given server.
    Has anyone seen this before or ideas on why this particular node did not exit after receiving the shutdown message?
    Thanks!
    Marcel.

    Hi Marcel -
    Please take a thread dump (via "kill -3" or "ctrl-break") on the VM that does not stop correctly. Coherence does not shut the VM down; it simply shuts itself down. If a non-daemon thread is running on the VM, then it may not exit. However, we won't know that until we see the thread dump.

  • Regarding Pulling out network cable from cluster node

    I have two cluster nodes installed with my application.
    I have pulled out the Network cable from the primary where my application is running. So the primary is not reachle from remote box.(cannot ping primary)
    I have found the following error messages
    SUNW,hme0 : No response from Ethernet network : Link down -- cable problem?
    I have found the device group and resource group online the primary and the sun cluster does not failover to secondary node. Does Sun cluster support this scenario ?
    Or do i need to any additional configuration? Can i get clarification on this

    Hi Sudheer,
    if you have two interfaces in your ipmpgroup, I am missing the test address.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3000/emybr?l=en&q=ipmp&a=view
    states a hostname.hme0 as:
    192.168.85.19 netmask + broadcast + group testgroup1 up \
         addif 192.168.85.21 deprecated -failover netmask + broadcast + up
    and for hotname.hme1
    192.168.85.20 netmask + broadcast + group testgroup1 up \
         addif 192.168.85.22 deprecated -failover netmask + broadcast + up
    you can safely replace the addresses by names if they are in /etc/hosts
    In this case the -failover flag for the physical of your example is wrong.
    If you only have one adapter,
    One line in /etc/hostname.hme0 like you stated in your example is correct.
    this is from one of my clusters.
    deulwork20 group sc_ipmp0 -failover
    it is the ipmpgroup Sun Cluster creates for you if you do not specify anything else. so for one single adapter one line like "hadev1 group sc_ipmp0 -failover" is correct.

    Krishna -
    As Steve pointed out, starting a Coherence cache server on multiple machines (or in multiple terminal windows on one machine) will result in multiple node cluster.
    The output from a cache server will show the cluster member set:
    Output from the first cache server (Id=1) starting:
    MasterMemberSet
    ThisMember=Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:53:46.231, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088, MachineId=******,
    Location=site:acme.com, machine:acme-pc,process:5580, Role=CoherenceServer)
    OldestMember=Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:53:46.231, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088, MachineId=******,
    Location=acme.com, machine:acme-pc, process:5580, Role=CoherenceServer)
    ActualMemberSet=MemberSet(Size=1, BitSetCount=2
    Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:53:46.231, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088, MachineId=29922,
         Location=site:acme.com, machine:acme-pc,process:5580, Role=CoherenceServer)
    Output from the second cache server (Id=2) starting:
    MasterMemberSet
    ThisMember=Member(Id=2, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:54:36.434, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8090, MachineId=******,
    Location=site:acme.com,machine:acme-pc, process:7952, Role=CoherenceServer)
    OldestMember=Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:53:46.231, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088, MachineId=******,
    Location=site:acme.com, machine:acme-pc,process:5580, Role=CoherenceServer)
    ActualMemberSet=MemberSet(Size=2, BitSetCount=2
    Member(Id=1, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:53:46.231, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088, MachineId=******,
         Location=site:acme.com, machine:acme-pc,process:5580, Role=CoherenceServer)
    Member(Id=2, Timestamp=2011-06-16 10:54:36.434, Address=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8090, MachineId=******,
         Location=site:acem.com, machine:acme-pc,process:7952, Role=CoherenceServer)
    Cache server output will also show the cache configuration file used when starting (for example):
    Oracle Coherence GE 3.6.0.1 <Info> (thread=main, member=n/a):
    Loaded cache configuration from "jar:file:/C:/coherence-3.6.0.1/coherence/lib/coherence.jar!/coherence-cache-config.xml"
    "coherence-cache-config.xml" is located in the coherence.jar. It contains prefixed wild-card cache-mappings for 'dist-*' partitioned cache, 'repl-*' replicated cache, etc. A generic wild-card cache-mapping of '*' defaults other caches to partitioned.
    Specific caches need to be configured within the cache configuration xml file specified (-Dtangosol.coherence.cacheconfig=<config-file-spec>) when the cache server is started. These caches are then accessible to all server started with the same cacheconfig.

  • Cluster node (1 out of 6) is in error for a file channel - SAP XI

    Hi,
    In one of a sender file channel for an interface, one java node out of 6 configured ones failed. The error message says "Login Incorrect" while the other cluster nodes are polling properly. I have tried to update the password in the channel's configuration in Integration Directory and activated it. This doesnt help. Please advice!
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Kumaran

    Hello Kumaran,
    The status of the file adapter is not reflected properly but this should not have an impact. No message might have arrived at that node yet. Once it receives a message for processing, the status will be changed.

  • Is cluster node g5 2.0 capable of being a parts machine for g5 normal serve

    Is cluster node g5 2.0 capable of being a parts machine for g5 normal serve?
    Is the power supply, motherboard, CPU, memory, etc the same?
    I have a g5 that was taken out of service for 3 weeks and when put back in service does nothing at all when powering up....no sounds..no lights...nothing. In another thread checking the PRAM was suggested. Someone else suggested swapping out the power supply. One thing may need to another and I may need a parts machine. Will this approach work? Is a cluster node different only in case style....everything else the same?

    Hi
    I think you should be all right as there is a logic board variant that is common to both - 661-3153. However there are 3 different EEE codes for this part number so double check first. You could call your nearest Apple Authorized Repair Specialist and they should be able to tell you based on the Serial Numbers of both units. Typically this number will begin with CK number.
    There are minor differences between the two as you have probably noticed. For example the XServe G5 comes with an optical drive whereas the Cluster Node does not. Similarly the XServe G5 has a three headed hard drive cable whereas for the cluster node its a single connector.
    Hope this helps, Tony

  • 11gR2- webutil upload file to AS on two nodes RAC?

    Hellow experts plz help with the following issue,
    we are using 11gR2 forms on two node rac,webutil configured on both nodes. upload/download files to AS folder(UP_FILES) using our forms. node 2 is actually replica of node 1(forms,reports,UP_FILES). we are now facing a problem that the form which upload file to AS, only upload that to the node from where it is running say if it is running from node1 then it upload files to folder UP_FILES on that node( as the entry in webutil.cfg file) but we want that UP_FILES folder should be synced with each other on both nodes and a form running whether from node1 or node2 upload the file to both nodes at time.
    How this will be accomplished?
    --------webutil.cfg entry
    transfer.appsrv.read.3=D:\UP_FILES
    transfer.appsrv.write.3=D:\UP_FILES
    -----FORM UPLOAD CODE
          IF :CONTROL.FILE_LOC IS NOT NULL THEN
            acyr3 := :CONTROL.TXTVOUCHERNO||'-'||acyr2 ;
           FILE_RESULT := WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.CLIENT_TO_AS_WITH_PROGRESS(CLIENTFILE=>:CONTROL.FILE_LOC,
           SERVERFILE =>'D:\UP_FILES\'||acyr3||'.PDF',
          PROGRESSTITLE=>'UPLOAD TO DATABASE IN PROGRESS',
          PROGRESSSUBTITLE=>'PLEASE WAIT' );
          END IF;
    --FORM DOWNLOAD CODE
            FILE_RESULT := WEBUTIL_FILE_TRANSFER.AS_TO_CLIENT_WITH_PROGRESS
                 CLIENTFILE=>'D:\UP_FILES\'||acyr3||'.PDF',
            SERVERFILE =>'D:\UP_FILES\'||acyr3||'.PDF',
          PROGRESSTITLE=>'DOWNLOAD FROM DATABASE IN PROGRESS',
          PROGRESSSUBTITLE=>'PLEASE WAIT'
                 CLIENT_HOST('rundll32.exe url.dll,FileProtocolHandler D:\UP_FILES\'||acyr3||'.PDF');
                 IF FILE_RESULT THEN
      message('File downloaded successfully from the Application Server');
      END IF;

    Well, you're uploading the file to one node, so this is no surprise. What you can do is to store your file on a shared folder (which might be a bit tricky on windows) or synchronize a folder between your nodes. Unfortunately Forms can't access ASM directly (assuming you are using ASM), so you can't store your files directly in ASM where it would be accessible from both nodes.
    cheers

  • How can I retrieve file name being processed in Batch

    Hi All
    I want to retrieve the current filename that is being processed by a batch, e.g. A1~Texas~Actual~Jan-2010~RR.txt
    I can do this in various event scripts that have the strFile parameter but I need to do it in the BatchAction event script and cannot see how I go about it. I can see various objects in the API guide that should help me get at it but can't get it working.
    Has anyone done this before or got any pointers for how I can do this?
    Many thanks
    Stuart

    Hi Tony
    I have been able to retrieve this using the PstrFileName property in various event scripts, particularly those where strFile is a parameter and then used API.DataWindow.Utilities.fParsePath to trim that and provide just the file name. However thsi does not work in the BatchAction event script.
    I have found a property in the Batch Loader section of the supplementary API called PstrFileTitle but my VB is not strong enough to work out how to get at it. From what I can gather I would need to supply the BatchID (plus other parameters) to another function that would return this into a recordset and then read from the recordset (??) but I am not sure how to go about this.
    To give you some background, what I am trying to achieve is writing to a log file pre and during batch processing where the log file name should use the source file's name, e.g. 'SourceFile.txt' will write to SourceFile.log. The issue is that for batch processing we have to rename 'SourceFile.txt' s 'A1~Texas~Actual~Jan-2010~RR.txt' and I previously tried to use the PvarTempNC variables to store the source file name only to find that I could use that in the BatchAction event script!
    If you can point me in the right direction that would be great.
    Thanks
    Stuart

  • Cluster node fails after testing removing both interconnects in a two node

    Hi,
    cluster node panics and fails to join cluster after testing removing both interconnects in a two node cluster. cluster is up on one node , but the panic'ed node fails to rejoin cluster saying no sufficient quorum yet and both clinterconn failed (even after conencting the interconn). Quorum device used is a shared disk.
    Is this a bug?
    Any workaround or solution?
    Cluster is 3.2 SPARC
    Thanking you
    Ushas Symon

    Sounds like a networking problem to me. If the failed node genuinely can't communicate with the remaining node then it will not be allowed to join the cluster, hence the quorum message. I would suspect either:
    * Misconnected cables
    * A switch that has block or disabled the port
    * A failed auto-negotiation
    This is of course without knowing anything about what your network infrastructure actually is!
