File Browser doesn't show files

I am trying to pull some of my pictures from my Media Hub but can't seem to do it.
All of the pictures show in the Home view but when I go the the File Browser...no files show up in the folders. The folders are on the left but when I click to open any of them there is nothing in them.
I have checked my settings but can't figure out what I am doing wrong....

Check under the "import" folder in the file browser, your pictures might be stored there if you used the import tool.

So the thing that caused my whole system not to work as it should was that I forgot to put a "&" after conky?

that little "&" sends the conky process to the background freeing up the current process (your autostart.sh script) to finish doing what it's doing so you can move on to running openbox itself. with this in mind, it should be obvious why keeping conky in the foreground would cause problems.
also, replacing it with (sleep 1 && conky) & means... wait a second, when that's done successfully (&&) run conky, and put all of that () to the background. that way openbox comes up immediatly and only a second later you've got your panel and monitor.
all this after .xinitrc and before openbox

File browse functionality for all files within a directory

I have an app where you use file browse to select a file on the file system. Then, I parse the file name to determine other attribution to record in database, which may result in more user interaction before creating the database record.
So, currently users can do this one file at a time. Anything available to let me loop through all files within a user-specified directory?

File Browser doesn't display when Flex page is opened via showModalDialog IE9 on 64-bit system

From a html page, we open a flex page using showModalDialog.
Once flex page is launched, we have a button to open windows file browser.
When you click on the button, windows file browser opens as expected.
However, if you use IE 9 on 64-bit machines, windows file browser does not open and IE crashes.
If you use other versions and even IE9 on 32-bit system, file browser dialog shows up correctly.
When examining in flex code, the call to FileReference object's browse() returns true so I'm assuming Flex code is thinking browse window is opened.
We do not want to use showModalessDialog, is there any other soltuions to this issue?

Bug:File Browser Doesn't refresh

One a directory is opened in the file browser, it can't be refreshed without restarting sqldeveloper.
1 Open a directory in the file browser.
2 Create an additional file in the directory outside of sqldeveloper
3 Try to make the new file appear.
Closing and opening the directory doesn't work
Clicking on what looks like a refresh button (two arrows ina circle) doesn't work.

What JDK are you using?
I am runnin 1.5.1.5440 with JDK 6 Update 6...
Although now that I look at the file browser it has incredibly limited functionality (context menu). A READ-Only File Browser? Come on...

Downloaded a video, have the file, but doesn't show as purchased.

I downloaded a Desperate Housewives episode the other day. My account says I purchased it, but it doesn't show up in my itunes list as purchased. I have a 200M file, but it doesn't have any of the show information with it and it won't play. I just get 43 minutes of gray screen with no audio. I have the most recent version of Quicktime and all the other episodes I've downloaded have worked. (except one other that did the same thing and they had to reset something so I could download it again.) I've been charged for something I can't watch and when I sent a note to the same address that fixed it last time, they said they don't handle technical issues. Has anyone else seen this OR does anyone have the link to send an E-mail to technical support. Apple's webpage is a nightmare when it come to actually getting a human being to help you.

Use the links in the iTunes Music Store itself to tell them of the problem. Or the links under the help menu of iTunes.

Cdrom doesn't show files

I have a Ultra60 running 2.7 and an Ultra5 running 2.7 and on more than one occassion a piece, I insert a cd, the file manager for the cdrom comes up, but doesn't show the files on the cd. I know the cd works because I try in on another machine exactly like these. I've tried stop/starting vold, doesn't help. Then, after this happens, it somoetimes won't let me eject the cd.....
Whats the deal??

Hmm, lets see:
1. Can you access the physical media?
dd if=/vol/dev/aliases/cdrom0 bs=2k count=100 of=/dev/null
should read 100 sectors from the cdrom and copies the
result to /dev/null. No error messages are expected here.
2. Is the volume manager able to identify the filesystem
format of the new cdrom?
fstyp /vol/dev/aliases/cdrom0
fstyp -v /vol/dev/aliases/cdrom0
should print something like hsfs or udfs (and some more
verbose info about the media in the -v case).
3. Is the media correctly mounted?
Check the "mount" or "df -k" output. You should see your
media mounted under /cdrom/....
4. Can you see the files from a command line window?
Open a dtterm, an list the cdrom: "ls -l /cdrom/cdrom0/."
Any files?
5. Any error messages in /var/adm/messages or /var/adm/vold.log?

File Upload doesn't show full path with EXT JS, Is that any property that can set to false or true to make this work.

I need to have full path of file when file get uploaded (using EXTjs).
Due to security reason in firefox, it just show file name.
Is it possible to make it work setting any properties in about:config.

answer and I said that before I don’t use any antivirus and I always turn off my firewall from the moment I installed my Windows.
I even turn off any automatic update for any of my software and I never let any unknown plugins or any thing like that be install without informing me. And if you know some things like Offline Storage and cookies must be to much more than usual and you have to clear them and delete them and I know so much more

Where are the actual files of Photos? "Show file in Finder" doesnt work!

in the file menu, i cant click "show file in finder" – the menu entry is grey and not clickable.
And i cant drag and drop photos from the photos app into another app.
Both options work properly in iPhoto. And i really need them everyday.
But i want to use photos and not two apps for one purpose.
Anyone got a clue, whats wrong with photos?

You should be able to do this - attacking the Tm drive to another computer (M2) is very similar to attaching any other disk - and you *should be* able to browse and copy files. Time machine uses a folder on the drive, so at the top level you'll see a folder named Backups.backupdb and navigate inside and the machine name (M2), hard drive name and the rest of the file structure should be there. You can click on the "latest" and go from there to copy the files. I'd suggest not writing anything inside that folder (Backups.backupdb) when using the other machine (M1), lest Time Machine et confused when it is back to it's old machine (M1).
As for why you are getting the error, I don't have an answer. Does that happen when you navigate to every subdirectory and try to copy anything?

Using File Browse to update stored file

Hi all,
I have a form with a File Browse item on it which is (surprisingly!) used to upload a file and associate with a record. The filename is stored in a varchar column in the table. This works fine when I create (INSERT) the initial record and I can retrieve the stored file just fine. However the problem I have is when I want to update the uploaded file. It seems the normal mechanisms for update / save requests don't apply to uploaded files. My other attributes get updated fine but the new uploaded filename is not reflected in the table.
I've put together a simple example of this on a when apex.oracle.com :

Which has two fields, a file name and an 'attribute'. Try as I might I can't update the file name although the attribute changes just fine.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated. I realise I may be missing something fundamental here and am more than happy to be enlightened.
FYI, the purpose for such functionality is to allow users of our system to store a photograph of themselves along with their details. This functionality is required to allow the photograph to be updated if required.

If i am not mistaking, using a file browser item type will not set the uploaded file (blob) in this item, to be processed in the standard processing on you're page.
In a recent project i wrote a stored procedure for handling with uploaded files. This procedure, which based on the filename ( Fnnnn/<filename> ) , select the uploaded content through apex_application_files, the location apex saves the files. and procedure outputted the file as a blob, which then can be used to insert/update in youre table

Adapter file sender doesn't split file into multiple message

Hi everybody.
We are in PI 7.0 SP10.
In adapter file sender, I want to split a file into multiple file.
We use protocole "file content conversion"
in the field "recordset per message", I put the value 10 to test.
The file content 30 records .
The result we have is the treatment is not split into multiple message .
The treatment is made but with one message.
I need to treat big files.
Is there some one who have an idea why t doesn't work ?

have you specified recordset name......if not, then specify it.............
in recordset structure, specify like RECORD,1 and not RECORD,*
again test your scenario......if still your file data is not getting split, then ask your basis guys to do a full CPACache refresh using PIDIRUSER..........your basis guys will know how to do it..........then again test your scneario............

Using File Browse Item To Get File Only

Is it possible to use the file browse item to just get the file without inserting it anywhere?
I'm looking to allow a user to "upload" a file from their client machine... but what will actually happen in the process is it will take the file and send it in an e-mail to whomever needs to get it.
Or is the only way to allow it to insert the file, do what I need to do with it, and then immediately delete it?

Newb needs help opening file browser and getting full file name and path.

Ok, so I'm a TOTAL newb here, but I have managed to get it to open a file browser but all I can seem to get it to do is give me the NAME of the selected file *eg. selectedFile.name* I also need the path of the file as in C:\example\file.mp3.
The program I'm making plays an MP3 of your choice at a certain time, like an alarm clock. But I got tired of entering the file path of the MP3 EACH time so I wanted to have a browse feature.
Ideas... help... thanks...

File browser to find large files?

I am looking for a program or file browser in order to locate large folders,files,etc on my hard drive. There is a program I have used in windows called ExplorerXP and there are many like it in the windows world. My available free disk space isn't adding up to me so I would like to see where it is being allocated.
