File cleanup in oms10g/dcm/repository/tmp

Hello,
I've got quite a few files of the format FDB8714.tmp in the above directory. Each file dates from March this year. A few files are over 100M with some more reaching the tens of megs.
Is it safe to delete these files? Could I have something like logrotate clean this directory up?
Regards,
Matt

I have never worried about these files. Just delete them if you have space pressure.

  • What are the  configuration files ( list them) in DCM repository

DCM Reference Guide says that Configuration information for OHS,OC4J, OC4j applications,OPMN,JAZN are stored in repository. Can any one give me the list of configuration files it is storing? Or How to list them.

An iMovie project is a bundle?
Yes. What appears in the Finder as a singel file is really a bundle of files.
    But what are they?
I can't tell you exactly - but I'm sure there's data there that allows iMovie to undo things you've already done, references the event clips used in the movie, thumbnails, backups, transitions you've used - that kind of thing.
I deleted them on a junk project and so no ill effect, though I didn't check all the things you can do with a project.
Even so, I'd restrict that kind of experimentation to junk projects.
Regardless of whether it's safe to delete them, I'd like to know what they are.
Fair question. I wish I could tell you more.

  • DCM Repository Backup Assistant Failed..

    Hi folks:
I just finished installing Business Intelligence and Forms of AS10gR2. Everything was installed in order and successfully but I got DCM Repository Backup Assistant Failed which was the very last component. I skipped it and jump right to the end of installation.
Is it a serious part? How can I install it later?
Thank you so much for your help.
    Hewjang

You can run only that config manually by executing the file $ORACLE_HOME/\cfgtoollogs\configToolCommands.
You can execute the entire file or select the once you want to run from it is you want to skip the once that are not dependent on each other.

  • Recover DCM repository

I'm having several problems with my Application Server 10G.
One of them is that my DCM repository seems to be damaged or incorrupt.
When I go to IAS enterprise manager to the tab "J2EE Applications" I get te following error:

The "Home" page of IAS is working fine, only the other tabs give problems.

  • File sharing between windows PCs creates tmp files that are locked

Hey everyone. This is bringing an old topic back from the dead. Over the weekend we upgraded to Leopard Server 10.5.4 and am now seeing this same exact problem that was discussed here and never answered: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1290360&tstart=237
Whenever a windows user opens a word document via smb it creates as follows:
On a file called 'test save.doc', having been opened in Word, amended and saved I would end up with the following files.
    ~$st save.doc
    ~WRD0000.tmp
    ~WRD0001.tmp
    test save.doc
These temp files are locked and can't be deleted from the users machines. they have to be deleted from the server hosting the files. Permissions are set thru ACLs and access to folders and files are working accordingly. But for some reason these temp files are being created on every word document that is opened and aren't being automatically removed after closing the document
    thanks for any help!

the change that I made was to /etc/smb.conf
    acl check permissions = no
I stopped the samba service, put that into /etc/smb.conf and restarted samba services.
all seems to be well on the open frontier. hope this helps someone out

  • File not found in \sapmnt\trans\tmp

    Hi All,
Some of my transports are failing with return code = 12 with logs similar to the following:
    1 ETP199X######################################
1 ETP162 EXECUTION OF REPORTS AFTER PUT
    1 ETP101 transport order     : "<transport request #>"
    1 ETP102 system              : "<SID>"
    1 ETP108 tp path             : "tp"
    1 ETP109 version and release : "340.16.37" "640"
    1 ETP198
    4 ETP141 Temporary log file "
    <hostname>\sapmnt\trans\tmp\<file>.<SID>" not found.
1 ETP162 EXECUTION OF REPORTS AFTER PUT
    1 ETP110 end date and time   : "20090314042021"
    1 ETP111 exit code           : "12"
    1 ETP199 ######################################
As a temporary workaround, I copy a file from the
<hostname>\sapmnt\trans\tmp directory and rename it to the filename being looked for and rerun the import in STMS. So far, it works.
My question is why does this happen and how can I prevent it from always happening? I already performed checks in STMS (transport directory, connection test, transport tool, transport routes) and everything seems fine.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    regina

    Hai,
Please check whether you have enough space in the directory, sometimes you get this kind of error due to this as well.
Also try updating tp and R3trans as said in the earlier post.
I guess there is no such document which speaks about the error and the remedy for it. You just have to try, anyway updating your R3trans and tp will not harm anything since they are upward compatible.

  • Remove save and saveas from file or document of km repository

    HI experts
when i assign the permission of read to a file of ms word or other file or document in km repository when i assign km navigation iview to other user.he or she is able to read, saveas  the file which i give to that user in km repository but my problem is that i just want that user just see the file but not saveas the file. Is there any facility for that in portal to just see the document or file not save as well as save as to the file
    please help.........

    Hi Mousam,
This is a KM functionality. When you open any document on any of the repository, the document opens on the client.
So it takes and behaves as other standard documents on the client.
I really dont know a way to hide this functionality in KM, if the user has read access.
    Good Luck!!!

  • Installation file cleanup. Creative Cloud

Installation file cleanup. Creative Cloud  has installed many files that i do not  need is there an easy way to  get rid of them?
Such as the user agrement in 15 differant languages
I want a lean and mean computer  without all of the crap.
Also can i just install the 64 bit apps when both are downloaded ie photoshop 32 and photoshop64?
I followed the directions on reinstalling encore and now i also have bridge cs6 with bridge cc.
This is  a bad way to  run software company.

To find all the crap, start with all the 64 bit applications in C:\Program Files\Adobe like AE, Au, BR, FL, IL, etc. They all contain directories named:
    AMT
    AMT Languages
    dict
    Legal
    LM Resources
    Locales
    OBL Res
    Resources
    zDictionaries
or similar names. Some of these directories are hidden in other directories, so you may have to drill down a bit and be careful not to delete stuff like .XML files or icon files. Nearly all the language related subdirectories and files in there can be deleted, I only left en_GB and en_US in place, because I only use the English US version. Note that not all applications have the exact same directory structure or contain the exact same files.
Now move to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe and repeat the above steps for all Adobe applications.
Next step is to repeat this for C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe and for C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe again. I know it is tedious work, but you free more than 2 GB of space.
For ages I have filed feature requests to use a common depository for all the legal documents and languages to be used by all Adobe applications, whether you have only one or all applications and to limit the number of languages to only the OS language, the Adobe language of choice and possibly the locale in the keyboard settings, instead of all 44 languages. One could even add a check box option to select more languages if one desires.

  • How can we upload file into to OCS Content repository when we are in Apex

We have installed the Oracle Application Express 2.2.1 into the OCS 10.1.2 database.
The Apex authentication is set to operate with OCS SSO.
We have made a form. There is a browse button on the form. We would like if the uploaded file appeared in the OCS content database repository as
    opposed to Apex document repository.
To put it into another word, how can we upload the file into to OCS Content repository when we are in Apex.
Generally speaking, how can we reach content from Apex?
We have found many java based examples to use content sdk, but how can we use them with Apex? We believe that
    content hasn't got plsql interface.
i would highly appreciate it if you sent me a full example program.

    Hi Ram,
    Thanks for the reply
We have a requirement to device a solution to upload the policy documents related to iProcurement
I am planning to create an OA page to upload the content and planning to use the AOL function security to restrict the users those who can access this page .
Is there any better way to implement the security?
Is this approach feasible or is there any better way to approach this requirement?

  • Can I import a 10g MDL file into a 9.2 repository?

    Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening
I started with OWB10g and created a repository. After creating several modules I realized I had an Oracle 9.2 database in which to deploy the runtime stuff.
I was unable to install the server side (AIX 5.2) binaries since I didn't have a 10g Universal Installer.
I exported the 10g repository information to an MDL file.
I dropped the 10g repository and created a 9.2 repository and also installed the 9.2 runtime components. All is cool so far.
I then wanted to import the MDL file from the 10g repository into the 9.2 repository and its then I hit the snag.
Is it possible to import a 10g MDL file into a 9.2 repository?
I was hoping the format was a standaard CWM type that would be recognized by either version but it looks like I'm incorrect.
Any other suggestions on how to get the 10g repository information into the 9.2 repository?
I still have the 10g repository on another server so I am able to do other types (?) of exports or whatever.
    Many thanks for the help.
    Gary

    Gary,
I am puzzled by the reason "I was unable to install the server side (AIX 5.2) binaries since I didn't have a 10g Universal Installer." OWB 10g comes with its own copy of 10g Universal Installer. I am not claiming to ever install on AIX myself, but can you list the errors you get, perhaps we can troubleshoot the underlying problem, rather than working around it.
Not to dodge your question on exporting 10g MDL to 9.2. Even though this is an unsupported and untested scenario, because OWB 10g did not introduce any new objects, you can try editing the MDL as below. I don't see any risk in trying. Find the MDLRELEASE and RELEASE statements at the top (not the comments with #, they don't matter and change values back to 9.2, as in:
    MDLRELEASE=9.2
    RELEASE=9.2.0.2.0
And becuase OWB 9.2 does not know what Database 10g is, if you have any Database locations in your MDL that are set to 10g, change them to 9.2 as in:
    [...]Oracle Database|9.2|[...]

  • How do I add files to a local Subversion repository using JDeveloper?

    Hi Guys and Gals,
Using Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0. Extension "Version Support for Subversion 11.1.1.3.37.56.60".
I'm getting into creating my first "real" JDeveloper program and want to implement Subversion control. I've never done anything with version control software before so please go easy on me.
    Problem:
<ol>After my initial project import, I cannot add any new files to subversion since the "Add" icon remains grayed out.</ol>
    Process:
<ol>I'm working off the Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook step by step (pages 57-59). I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
<li>Create a local repository by going to Versioning | Subversion | Create Local Repository. No problems</li>
<li>Select Versioning | Version Application. No problems again.</li>
<li>All my files now have a '1' by them, but no state icons. I do have a new window called "Versioning Navigator" that popped up showing my files and subversion connection.</li>
<li>I add a new file. It doesn't matter what type. From looking at the book and online sources, I should be able to right click the file or select Versioning | Subversion | Add to add the file, but the icons are grayed out on the main menu and on my right-click menu all I get is Versioning | Import Files or Versioning | Pending Changes. There are no pending changes in my Pending Changes window.</li></ol>
    What gives?

    Lovett,
Not sure what you mean by "Integrated?" I'm guessing that what you are probably doing is creating a local repository - that will be OK for just learning and playing about on a single machine, but not for working in a team. I'd seriously recommend installing a SVN server (really, it's quite easy if you use VisualSVN - it's just run the installer and go), as it will be what you must use if you are working in a team environment. For learning - just run the SVN server on the JDeveloper machine - it's what I did when I wrote the articles.
But yes, I understand the desire to keep it simple. You should be able to do most of the stuff in the ADF Essentials series (except for log in as different users) with a local repository.
    Best,
    John

I have a content node ,type of content is message or article

I have uploded a XMl file to this attribute
How do i retrive this file object using bea cutom tags,,

    Manish,
You can use the GetPropertyTag located in com.bea.content.manager.servlets.jsp.taglib,
or you can also use the API directly. To use the api, you would do something like
    this:
    Property property = node.getProperty("Attachment");
    ID propertyId = property.getId();
    ID nodeId = node.getId();
    NodeOps nops = repositoryManager.getNodeOps();
    InputStream is = nops.getPropertyBytes(nodeId, propertyId);
