File Commander install reinstall update error

I had file commander on pb, and had a My World red * telling me an update to 1.2 was available. Tapped update and got a failure to load popup message immediately. Was able to update dBase app with no problem, as well as pb info app. Tried to update few hours later and next a.m. Did a restart of pb and a reset of app world cache. Finally tried an uninstall. Now when go to app world to reinstall get same error popup about as soon as I tap the reinstall button.

I contacted the developer and he said to do what you did. I got mine before it was a paid app. Did you get yours free? I'm thinking this is the reason you can't get the update.
Aside: the dbase app is amazing. Very useful..usability could be "prettied" up as in "dummied down." Also check out Conqu.

  • Windows 8 fails to install EVERY update, error code 0x800f0922

So I had to do a System Repair thing where Windows would repair itself and removing all my apps but keep my documents, photos and music etc. So I was reinstalling every program again and also wanted to install the updates.
But I ran into 0x800f0922 error code and I couldnt install them. (I run Windows 8.1 Pro) I was trying to install Adobe Photoshop but couldnt continue cuz .NET framework 3.5 was required. But after trying to manually download + install I got
the same error (0x800f0922). I've tried almost every cmd command but couldnt fix it. (im a kinda noob on it anyways)
    Any help would be appreciated!

I did that and it told me it succeeded, but I also tried to manually install net framework with DISM but gave me the same error.. And I reinstalled Windows trying the repair, refresh and reset options, nothing helped. I did not yet tried a clean installation.

  • Unreadable Files After installing Leopard UPDATE

Okay, so I went through a bunch of problems and though I should share my experience to hopefully help others with the same problem.
Installed leopard after being told it had no conflict with FCP6. Well, it did, as i couldn't open any of my older project files and got the dreaded error message: Unreadable or may be too new for this version of Final Cut."
Tried many things, like trashing preferences, reinstalling FCP6, opening files different ways. None were successful, heard I had to do a clean install, which I didn't want to do. Went to the genius bar, spoke with tech support and browsed these forums for another way.
After realizing that there wasn't any way for me at leats I decided to do a clean install, and IT WORKS now.
    Bad points: H
    1. Have to back up all your content on harddrive.
    2. Spend a lot of time installing everything again
    3. Spending time updating everything again.
    Good points:
    1. You can work again with FCP and Leopard
    2. The computer runs faster.
    3. You realize a lot of junk you didn't need to begin with and you have a nice new clean computer.
    Hopefully this will help others.

Also my boss figured out another solution. On the computer that I was getting the other files from, I had to have it export the FCP file in an XML format. Then once I opened the XML file on my computer I just reconnected all of my media and it worked.
For some reason the intel/G5 switching didn't like something about FCP6 project files but it worked when the file is in XML format.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First of all, install OS X 10.7.5 from the Apple website > http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1582
After installing OS X 10.7.5, open  > Software Update, and install updates. This is often caused because there's a 10.7.4 update for some Macs that is installed with 10.7.5, and this makes a conflict that stops the update installation

  • Installing Acrobat Update error 1013

I received an Adobe Acrobat update this morning, and tried to install it.
Towards the end of the process, I received an error alert (1013).
Checking with Adobe, their recommendation was to enable the root user to complete the installation.
Checking with Apple, there were three different articles about enabling the root user, and each one of their instructions referred to
"Add" or "Edit" buttons in the System Preferences/Users and Groups/Login Items.
There are no such buttons or menus in the Login Items window.
Apple's instructions refer to items that don't exist in the Login Items window.
How do I enable the root user?
    please advise.
    Thanks

Apple instructions are missing a step: they do not instruct the user to "Login Options" in the Users & Groups Menu, where Network Account Server lives, and the "Join...." button is located.

  • Missingbonjour.msi file while trying to update itunes

I have been reading through here trying to find out how to fix the missing bonjour.msi file while installing the update for itunes. Does anyone have a sure fix for this?

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • HT1926 Have the same problem as many other users: tried to update iTunes on Windows 7 today; first message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 1

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open.  First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Eduardo Alejandro Lazo what specific error do you receive when trying to apply the update?
I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • While installing latest update I lost ability to open Itunes.  Getting "runtime error" and then next box says error 1114.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and does not work.  Getting same error.  Very frustrating.

Cannot open Itunes after trying to install latest update.  Getting runtime error and then error 1114.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still getting same error.  How do I fix this.  Very frustrating!

    Hi there,
Earlier iTunes (and supporting applications) need to be completely uninstalled before you can install the new version. Here's the complete Apple info on this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Mobile device application will most likely fail to uninstall, so you would need to visit its location(s) and manually delete the files then folder(s). The location of the folders is documented in this link from Apple.
It's a pain, but it should work.

  • My mac hung up while installing an update. It took hours and still did not complete the update. I restarted my mac. Upon turning it back on, a wheel has been spinning on a grey screen. I tried to reinstall OS X from utilities, but encounter an error. Why?

My mac hung up while installing an update. It took hours and still did not complete the update. I restarted my mac. Upon turning it back on, a wheel has been spinning on a grey screen. I tried to reinstall OS X from utilities, but encounter an error. What do I do?

    Hey Manaskala,
First point of call on all grey screen issues is the following:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570
Given this issue has appeared after a software update, I'd advise you do the following instead though:
    1. Get an external hard drive, with enough space to put the entire hard drive of your Mac onto. Make sure you've safely copied any data you have off of it, as the next step will erase it.
    2. In the recovery HD of your machine, use Disk Utility to format you EXTERNAL hard drive with the partition table as GUID, and the format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
    3. Get out of Disk Utility, and click Reinstall Mac OS X.
    4. When asked where, choose to install onto your external hard drive.
    5. When the download and installation is complete, your Mac will reboot into a clean fresh setup screen. Make your user account an administrator, and make up a name and password; I use 'Test' and 'test'.
    6. Your machine is now running from the external hard drive, not the internal hard drive, so don't be alarmed when you don't see your files.
    7. Open the finder, you should see 'Macintosh HD' in the sidebar. This is the internal hard drive of your computer.
    8. Open Macintosh HD, and copy out the following folders into a new folder on your desktop:
    -Users.
    -Applications.
-Library. (This only needs to be done if you use 3rd party software that saves things in the /Library, do a quick google and see if it does e.g. Photoshop, Protools).
    9. When these have copied (it'll take quiet a while), you can now use Disk Utility to erase your hard drive. Don't erase Macintosh HD but the ENTIRE hard drive on the inside of your Mac, and as Thomas A Reed mentioned, there was likely an existing issue on your HDD so please go to Security Options and choose 'Zero Out' before clicking erase. This will rebuild the partition table which was a possible cause of the failed update.
    10. Reboot the machine holding 'Option', go to recovery HD.
    11. Choose 'Reinstall Mac OS X', this time onto your INTERNAL hard drive.
    12. When this is complete, make another admin user called test and password test, like you did last time.
    13. Run Software Update from the  menu of your Mac.
    14. In the Finder, you should see your external Hard Drive. open it up, inside that you should see your desktop etc, and on the desktop will be your folder containing Library, Applications and Users.
    15. Go to Finder up next to the  and choose File -> New Finder Window.
    16. In your second finder window, open up Macintosh HD (through the Go -> Computer menu), and go to your Users folder.
    17. Open the Users folder in your first finder window, and copy your user folder (has your name on it) into the second user folder (the one inside Macintosh HD).
    18. This might take a while.
    19. When complete, go to System Preferences -> Users and Groups and unlock the padlock.
    20. Click the '+' sign, and make a new administrator user.
    21. Now, the fun bit. Note the name of your user folder you copied, e.g. 'Nathan', containing all of your stuff. Note the difference between your user folder (has your name on it) and the Users folder (contains YOUR user folder, guest folder and shared folder).
    22. Make the ACCOUNT NAME of your new adminstrator user the EXACT name of your user folder (normally lower case and without spaces), this is case sensitive folks. Your full name can be whatever you want, usually your full name.
    23. Then click create. You should be informed that a home folder with that name in it already exists in the Users folder, would you like to make your new account from that folder? say YES!
    24. When this is complete, log out of the Test user, log into your new account we've just made, all your stuff should be there.
    25. ???????
    26. Profit.
There's a few little bits that may need to be cleaned up afterwards, applications folder from your external hard drive should replace the applications folder on your internal hard drive, if the previously mentioned /Library folder contained important goodies then that should replace the /Library folder on your new Mac.
Hopefully that will help you out, straight after that is done make sure your stuff is there, erase your external hard drive and turn on time machine!

  • I attempted to install an update to my iTunes and got a "C   Runtime Error" message. Now when I attempt to open iTunes I get a pop up that says to reinstall iTunes. But I can't open iTunes to reinstall it. How can I reinstall iTunes?

I received notification of ANOTHER iTunes update being available, so I attempted to install the update on my Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. During the update process, two pop-up announced that I had a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" Runtime Error, R6034 and another pop-up that states "iTunes" iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. However, I cannot open iTunes. I get the same pop-up telling me to reinstall iTunes.
I had many songs in my iTunes library that came from sources other than iTunes, mostly my own CDs. Plus, I have nearly $100 credit remaining in the iTunes store. I'm converned I will lose the songs and store credit if I reinstall iTunes. So my questions are:
    1. How can I reinstall iTunes?
    2. If I reinstall it, will I lose my store credit and non-iTunes songs?
    Thanks,

Nothing should be lost... However... it is both Prudent and Recommended that a backup should have been created and maintained.
