File damaged after using a smart filter

Hello,
we got a serious problem with PS12.0.2 , OS 10.6.6 on Mac Pro 2,4GHz Quad Core 24GB RAM.
As you can see the File is corrupted after using a smart filter.The undo function has no success.
Is this a known problem? Maybe with memory or graphic card?

I am afraid bad RAM may be a possilbility.
Does turning off openGL have any bearing on the issue?
Other than that, boilerplate-text:
As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.

Using ACR smart filter on 32 bit images

After combining 3 images in HDR pro then opening in Photoshop CC using the ACR smart filter, how do I keep the edits I made when I then flatten the image and convert to 16 bit?
I seem to loose all the edits I made and it just brings up the HDR Pro options.
What is the point of being able to use the ACR smart filter if you then have to start again on a 16 bit version???

I usually save the 32-bit version before flattening and converting to 16-bit. Then you can always go back to the original edits by opening the 32-bit file. But yes, granted, this is a two-step process.
When you are confronted with the HDR dialog again, under "Method," just choose Exposure and Gamma. Then you won't lose all your HDR construction work from before.

Wrong File Extension after using "Save AS" in PS7 and PSCS

After using 'Save As' the file extension is incorrect (such as filename.psd.jpg) or on opening an image file saved with Save As Photoshop returns the message "Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop Document".
There's a setting in 'Tweak UI' under the heading 'Common Dialogs' that offers a choice of disabling 'Enable AutoComplete'.
If you disable 'Enable AutoComplete' then Photoshop 7 and 8 (CS) will no longer add the appropriate ending to a file when using 'save as'.
Unfortunately re-enabling this option does NOT appear to cure the problem, and a re-install of the O/S may be necessary.

That would work if I scanned each card one at a time but that would increase my scanning time 9X.

Files locked after using LR V 1.1 - WnXP SP2

I had this problem with V1 and have just discovered it still exists with V 1.1 - I'm wondering if this is a known problem. I know from my previous post that some others have experienced this problem.
The only application that uses my .CR2 files is LR. Recently I converted a few images to DNG but without deleting the original .CR2 Having done the conversion I closed LR and then went into Win Explorer to manually delete the .CR2s. I got a message saying the file was being used by another person or program.
I get similar problems if I use LR to remove an image file from the Library but not hard drive. It cannot be deleted with Win Explorer.
I used Process Explorer and it reveals nothing that's using the file.
If no one can can throw any light on this I'll file a bug report.

Router is standalone device.Add/Remove devices on Windows7 is only for that particular computer....If you want to add any computer in your network then,simply connect the computer to the router if it wired.If the computers/devices are wireless then, just connect to the wireless network and it will work.

RDL reports(2008).File name after using Export to Excel is not comming properly in mozilla firefox.

I am using Export to Excel functionality in rdl report.
File name should be "Profitabilty By Buyer". It is working as expected in IE and chrome.
But in mozilla firefox the file name appears as "Profitabilty".
So the issue is it doesnt consider anything after space and user requirement is such that I cant put underscore("_") also instead of space.
Kindly suggest the proper solution.

Reporting Services, we use a Web browser to view the report that deploy to Report Service. However, not all report functionally is supported by all browsers. Such as, the print button is not supported in Mozilla Firefox. It works only in Internet Explorer
due to it uses ActiveX for the print button.
I have tested it on my local environment, (SQL Server Reporting Services 2008, Firefox 28.0), we cannot reproduce this issue. So the issue can be the custom setting of your browser. Since SSRS reports are not about targeting NON-IE browsers, so in your scenario,
we recommend you use IE to view report on Report Manager.
And you said that you cannot put underscore ("_") also instead of space. However we can do this which you can see on the screenshot below.

Excel File Error After Using SaveAsDialog in C#

Hello,
I have a project where I am trying to use SaveFileDialog. My code runs fine and saves the file to the directory that I choose. The problem is when I try to open the file I receive an error from Excel stating
“Excel cannot open the file Test_File.xlsx because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file”
Is there something happening in my code that is corrupting the file during the save process?
I can’t figure out why I am getting this error. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Where does my saved file go after using photoshop as external editor

Okay, I understand that when I have a 30MB picture file and edit with photoshop afterwards, I click on Save and back into aperture i'm left with a 175MB picture (bigger or smaller sometimes), but my question is this:
Since i'm working with all referenced images that have been stored on my external hard drive, after i make the edits and the file size explodes, does aperture save that large file in the aperture library, or to my external drive?
I keep my aperture library file on my computer, but the images on an external drive.
Should I make a new library file and store that on an external drive also?
The whole point of using referenced images is to save space on the main computer, but if it's saving a file that's 6 times larger onto my computer instead of the external drive, it kind of defeats the purpose right?

You can test this for yourself, but I just tested with a new Project, importing to Aperture to remain at the currently location, editing a photo with Photoshop. The Tiff that Aperture first created for PS to edit was created in the original folder, and not in the Aperture Library. The edit, when Saved, was made to that new copy in the original folder location, and thus in the external location.

ACR returning images with pixel drop-out when used as smart filter in HDR2

Photoshop CC - when using a 32-bit image in HDR2 "Tone in ACR" returns an image that contains areas where random groups of pixels are simply black. Typically occurs in shadow areas.
Same 5 raw files processed by Oloneo exhibit no problems. Individual raw files processed by Photoshop CC show no problem - only seen in HDR2.
I tried accessing Photoshop Bug Report but it hands you off to Photoshop.com where after you make the report it won't let you sign in. Revel only accepts photos.

After we eliminated Adobe settings, and the software, I started wondering what's outside that could be affecting VPE.
It's the resolution of the screen! I have a MBP Retina.
Using SetResX, I cranked the resolution of my screen from the default retina 1440 x 900 to the hardware's native res of 2880 x 1800.
THIS FIXED IT.
The resulting PNGs from the export perfectly match the planes (DXF Mesh).
So, I'm asserting that there may be a bug in the current release of PS CC where it is not compatible with the default retina resolution on the MacBook Pro.

Help needed in recovering files/folders after using xfs_repair

So it started out with whammy! Some files were not playing (audio) which previously they were doing fine without any issue !
So I thought of changing the permission and got many errors regarding abnormal inodes and since I was using XFS filesystem I tried fixing the issue by using xfs_repair
Now the catch is that during the repair xfs_repair wizard deleted many folders and stated a message that "moving to lost+found"
The issue is I am not able to locate any folders in /lost+found and whats intriguing is that most of the inodes and links to the folders (deleted/moved) are still visible with ls -l

Where is the file saved after using "Share... DVD..."? Is it saved?

I burned a 1 hour 41 minute HD program in FCPX using "Share" and "DVD..." It took about 17 hours to compress into a DVD. I made a few copies and quit the process. Now I want to make more copies, but I can't find where the completed file is saved. Was it saved at all? Or do I have to do this 17 hour compression all over again?

By default it goes in your Movies folder.

Program error after using connected smart objects

Hello, dear friends. I need your help.
My problem is:
1. I placed linked smart objects in to the photo and then tried to replace content of this smart object. Suddenly program shut down. And If I try to do the same one more time the same happened.
2. Some times I could do this operation till the end but replaced content didn't save my changes made for this smart object. And then program shut down again.
This problem stops my work, that is why I'll be pleased to hear any solution.

Config.xml file missing after using pack/unpack (WebLogic 12c)

Hi,
When I use the utilities pack/unpack to "copy" a domain from one physical server to another one, I end up with the config directory where there is no config.xml file while on the source physical there is of course this file.
If I use the scp command (I work under Linux) to "copy" the domain I do not encounter problem and I can start the Node Manager and the WebLogic server.
Did someone faced this situation?
How did you solved it? Or, is there something that I am missing?

Music file damage after 9.1 upgrade

I upgraded to itunes 9.1 the other day and now many of the songs I purchased from itunes are damaged. When I try to play them, they skip and play very slowly. Does anyone else have this problem or know how I can fix this problem?

I have the same situation here. The files in questions are the no-longer sold iTunes store file format of M4P. Most likely it will have to be addressed in a future upgrade.

.Exe file disappearing after use Windows 7

So I have a .exe in a folder that after opening the .exe and closing it again, (It's a Ren'Py game), the file disappears.
If I try to extract the game again (It's in 3 zips) into the same folder I get Access Denied from the .exe. It is not a virus, my antivirus hasn't reported doing ANYTHING to a file or folder (I even manually scanned it and it said it was fine). I've set the
permissions to full access, and I'm the owner.
I have no idea why it is doing this. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sidebar of organizer (CS3) is damaged after using Mavericks

You see that the left icon is not more correctly displayed and the distances are enlarged so that only a few are fitting on the screen. Behaviour since installation of Mavericks (no other issues with Adobe CS3). Any idea to fix this?

It's Acrobat Professional 8.3.1 - the last update available for CS3. Runs fine.
