File doesnt show text I wrote in off to right of document .pdf

I opened a pdf file which was 37.9kb.
I marked up the document with the text off to the right of the document.
Saved it..pdf is now 157kb
Opened it and the document does not show my text mark up. help

I thought you were using Adobe Reader somehow since you posted in the Reader forum. You should post this to the Illustrator forum to see if someone there can help. But realize that it is not meant to be a general purpose PDF editor, for a number of good reasons. To make changes like that it is usually best to add comments in Acrobat using the various commenting/markup tools,or even regular text in Acrobat using the Touchup Text tool. Even better is to make the changes to the source document and generate a new PDF.

I have indicated on the attached jpeg where the problem is, basically a line of text is missing at the top and part of the feeding diagram is missing. I created the artwork in different layer and then flattened. All text has been converted to outlines, however the areas being affected have no transparency, I have used solid fills or no fills. I get the same result when I export the file as a jpeg. Hope you can help.

Please describe what is missing from the translation file?
Also, did you ensure you reseeded before exporting the XLIFF file again (to account for any changes you made in the primary application)?

Is your iPad's storage nearly full?
Check Settings > General > Usage and see how much free space you have left. Is it at least 15% of your total storage space?

Swf file not showing text

I have revamped my website and for some reason I cannot get
the whole .swf to show the text after i put it through Dreamweaver.
when i look at the .html file and play the .swf file everything
works just fine. I have this as my home page and need all my text
to show properly.
I have links within the website going back to home page and
the .swf file show the text like it should. Is this a Flash 8 issue
or a Dreamweaver problem?
Here is my website and someone can browse and hopefully see
what i am talking about. If you go to one fo the other page and
click on home page you see that the page looks different from the
www.joanrobertsfoundation.com page.
Please help me understand what i could possibly be doing
wrong.

All My Files doesnt show all the files on the computer

All My Files didn's show all the files on the Computer. I downloaded Mountain Lion yesterday. After the download, it began to show all the files. Now again from this morning, it doesn't show all the files. It shows only a few word docs and nothing else. Please help.

Export Release Build for datagrid [xml file doesnt show?]

SRC folder
          assets
                    icons
          db.xml (located within assets folder)
datagrid.mxml
default.css
I am able to load the database and it populates my "db.xml" with no issues, however when I export release build and run the app - the database displays but with no information? I noticed that the my "db.xml" was not exported as well.
It is set up correctly? or do I need to just drop my icons, db.xml within src folder and not seperate them?

When you export a release build, it takes all your MXML And ActionSCript files and turns them into a SWF without the extra debugging code. If you are not embedding the XML in the swf, then this is expected behavior.
In your project properties, under Flex Compiler you can try checking the "copy non-embedded files to output folder"; but I believe this is only for debugging purposes and not for exporting a release build.

No such property is exposed for scripting, unfortunately.
The one to observe is a menuAction.name ==> but this is only an effect of some procedure involved by menuAction. Even worse ==> script will show you the last menuAction status - not the one is currently applied to activeDocument. It will update after menu activation in UI, not earlier.
So you can only toggle between both of them regardless on its current state, using app.menuActions.itemByID(24332).
If you will try to check (by script) its current menuAction.name ==> sometimes is true, sometimes is false.
If you will check it manually ==. is true cause is updated already.

I fixed my problem so download iTunes on your computer/laptop. Connect your iPhone into the computer and then click load backup and after they finish loading the backup. Go to your settings and click reset all contents and settings and then your phone will turn off by itself and wait for your phone to turn on and then it will say hello and slide to set up but don't do anything. Go to your computer and click restore backup and then it will turn off again and then just wait for it turn back on and then when it turns back on. You won't lose anything. Just your apps because once you redownload them. They will already put it in the spot you used to put them and like games it will still save wherever level or part you are on of the game. Hope this solves your problem.

Sounds as if you used Microsoft software to make a PDF. If so, and you didn't use Adobe Acrobat ($$), then you need to get help with Publisher -- Adobe Reader only shows what you make.

Report doesnt show the text for employee ids.....

Hi guys,
I am facing the following issue.
We have a report which is fetching data from the infocube.Whenever we check the report we are facing the issue : report doesnt show the text for ~10 employee ids,its showing the key in both key and text columns, its showing both text and key for the remaining employee ids.We checked the master data for employee id and it contains master for the employee ids which are not displayed text in the report.
Can any body help on this.

Hi Prasad,
for your infoobject do you have all three texts available (short, medium and long)? Are all three loaded? You might have the wrong text displayed in your report. Check if you have the short, medium or long texts displayed. Dont forget to check the languages too ....

In search results, Summary sometimes shows the top of file, not the text I searched for

I'm searching lots of html files, it's a web site that's not imported into Sharepoint. Search is returning the correct files, but about half the time the Summary contains the text at the top of the html file, not the text surrounding the text I searched
for. It's a big problem, users have to open the file then find the search text to see if it's useful.
If I search for 'potato' here's an example Summary which is ok:

You can't attach a screenshot to the first post that starts a thread, but you can do that in subsequent replies.
Does this only happen on one specific website?
Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?
It is possible that there is a problem with that web page and that there is a clear:both CSS rule missing that causes Firefox to start the next line at the horizontal position where the previous line ended.
If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone.
The article below will provide some troubleshooting steps for this issue:
iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.

I opened iCal back up, all the dates were blank, so i started to type events into a date.
As soon as I started to double click a date to type an event, magically all the events in all the months reappeared.
I'm still puzzled why it acted this way and if I did delete something that caused it to act this way.
