Good afternoon,
If you are loooking at a mapped drive, you can only see it if you change how the Oracle services start. You need to have them start with a specific user ID rather than starting as system services. The problem is that the system services cannot see mapped drives.
So, do this:
<li>Create a user to be used by Oracle services. Make sure they have the correct rights (I gave mine Server ADMIN so as to have all the access I needed)
<li>Log into the server and modify the services
<li>Click the 'Log On' tab and enter the account and password you created for the Oracle Processes
<li>Reboot the server, allowing the Oracle services to log in with this new ID.
This should then fix your problem.
Thanks,
Don.

is there a capability to save/export the new airport 2TB time capsule settings file when using the iphone/ipad airport utility. set-up wasn't a problem but the "file" button does not exist on the latest airport utility app v6.3 to save the configuration file.
the "file" button does not exist on the latest airport utility app v6.3 to save the configuration file.
Sounds like you are a bit confused with version numbers.
Latest AirPort Utility version for the iPhone / iPad is 1.3.3. There is no option or capability to export/import settings on the iOS version(s) of AirPort Utility.....although you could take a series of screen shots and save them for future reference.
AirPort Utility 6.3.x is found on a Mac.....not on iPhone / iPad. Export and Import options are found under the File menu in 6.3.x. -
"recover database until cancel" asks for archive log file that do not exist
Hello,
Oracle Release : Oracle 10.2.0.2.0
Last week we performed, a restore and then an Oracle recovery using the recover database until cancel command. (we didn't use backup control files) .It worked fine and we able to restart the SAP instances. However, I still have questions about Oracle behaviour using this command.
First we restored, an online backup.
We tried to restart the database, but got ORA-01113,ORA-01110 errors :
sr3usr.data1 needed media recovery.
Then we performed the recovery :
According Oracel documentation, "recover database until cancel recovery" proceeds by prompting you with the suggested filenames of archived redo log files.
The probleme is it prompts for archive log file that do not exist.
As you can see below, it asked for SMAarch1_10420_610186861.dbf that has never been created. Therefore, I cancelled manually the recovery, and restarted the database. We never got the message "media recovery complete"

Thank you very much for your help.
Frod.Hi,
Let me answer your query.
=======================
Your question: While performing the recovery, is it possible to locate which online redolog is needed, and then to apply the changes in these logs
1. When you have current controlfile and need complete data (no data loss),
then do not go for until cancel recovery.
2. Oracle will apply all the redologs (including current redolog) while recovery
process is on.
3. During the recovery you need to have all the redologs which are listed in the view V$RECOVERY_LOG and all the unarchived and current redolog. By querying V$RECOVERY_LOG you can find out about the redologs required.
4. If the required sequence is not there in the archive destination, and if recovery process asks for that sequence you can query V$LOG to see whether requested sequence is part of the online redologs. If yes you can mention the path of the online redolog to complete the recovery.
Hope this information helps.

"file.txt" does not exist, or file is empty; you cannot upload empty files
All,
I am trying to upload a file in Content Management --> Explorere --> 'Public Document' and get the following error "file.txt" does not exist, or file is empty; you cannot upload empty files.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

- "Exists": succeeds if the query returns one or more rows
- "Not Exists": succeeds if the query returns no rows
So for:
SELECT 1 FROM apex_workspace_apex_users WHERE
user_name =:P6_USERNAME
AND is_admin = 'Yes'you need an "Exists" validation as you require the validation to succeed if there is a row that satisfies the condition that a user with that username and admin privileges exists, and return an error message if it doesn't.

Decode for EXISTS and NOT EXISTS conditions
Hello all,
I need to use either EXISTS or NOT EXISTS before the subquery based on the situation. I have written a test query but its erroring out. Please check it.
select 1 from dual
where DECODE('A','A',EXISTS ,NOT EXISTS)
(select ename from EMP
where ename = 'SCOTT')
Thank You
KKDECODE will not replace part of the query. Functions don't work that way.
(It won't work if you put EXISTS and NOT EXISTS in quotes, either.)
What you want is something like
WHERE (<condition> AND EXISTS...) OR (<not-condition> AND NOT EXISTS...)You can also do:
SELECT 1
FROM dual
CROSS JOIN (SELECT COUNT(1) AS exists_fg FROM emp WHERE ename = 'SCOTT') ex
WHERE (<condition> AND exists_flag > 0) OR (<not-condition> AND exists_flag = 0)This way, you don't have to include the entire WHERE EXISTS condition twice.

Help needed in creating File Directory if not exist
hi, All
I am thinking about wite files to directories based on year, month, day. if the directory for that year or month or day exists already, do not create the directory, but write the file to that directory.
For example: 2003/02/22/file.txt --2003/02/22 exist, just write file.txt
If the directory does not exist, the program will create the direcotry and write the file into the right directory.
For example 2003/02/22/file.txt, ---2003/02/22/ does not exist, the program will create the directoies and write file file.txt
If anyone can provide any example or suggestion, I really appreciate!
Thanks
SteveHi!
Just have a look at the class "File"
and it's method "exists()".
Hope, that helps.

Try this method first:

How to use EXISTS or NOT EXISTS in analysis
Hi all,
I'm using OBIEE 11g. My question is how to use the functionality of SQL - EXISTS/ NOT EXISTS? I have a model where i have 2 fact tables . When i select from the first fact in some circumstances i want to anti-join the other fact table. Let us consider that the two fact tables are big enough /around 300mln of records/. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,

You are welcome.
Just one small comment on the solution, since we do not require any sort of sorting, I would prefer to use UNION ALL.Bpat:
I would probably test it both ways. Because of the minus, there is going to be two sort uniques in there somewhere. Each half of the minus has to be sorted and distincted before the minus can be done.
I used your sample to generate real tables, just to eliminate the effects of the hierarchical query, and it looks to me like, at least for a small sample set, union or union all are exactly the same, right down to the plan_id.

Cannot Export Hardware: Hardware handoff file (.sysdef) does not exist
I have this design on a zynq 7030 that includes a PS block diagram section and PL RTL. Using Vivado 2014.3
When using no OOC blocks, I'm able to generate the bit file, export it to SDK and test the design succesfully.
Now the problem....
I decided to set the PS block diagram section as OOC (to speed up synthesis). Everything seems to go correctly, the PS BD section independently synthesises, followed by the top level synthesis.
The bit file also generarates correctly.
Yet, I'm unable to export hardware in this mode, I get this error message, which is obviosly wrong as the bitfile does infact exist. It seems like Vivado does not recognize the Zynq Processing System if using OOC mode and hence does not automatically execute the commands for .hwdef and .sysdef creation.
You can execute these steps manually after bitgen in the TCL console with the "write_hwdef" and "write_sysdef" commands.
Example:
set PROJECT_NAME "my_project"
set TOPLEVEL_NAME "toplevel"
write_hwdef -force -file ./$PROJECT_NAME.runs/synth_1/$TOPLEVEL_NAME.hwdef
write_sysdef -force -hwdef ./$PROJECT_NAME.runs/synth_1/$TOPLEVEL_NAME.hwdef -bitfile ./$PROJECT_NAME.runs/impl_1/$TOPLEVEL_NAME.bit -file ./$PROJECT_NAME.runs/impl_1/$TOPLEVEL_NAME.sysdef
After this you can export the design to SDK as usual.

How check on the WS - exist or not exist InventoryJob ?
From The C1 create XP_Inventory politic and apply it to the WS.
Use time shedule:
Tusday between 13:00...16:00 , System, below normal prior.
at the 12:45 WS was rebooted (reboot | log in to the NW| reboot again | log
in to the NW)
But i do not see any info about WS in the Tree. See only WS object without
Minimal Information of the Workstation.
What and where i can check on the WS for check :
1 - get WS this Job for inventory ?
2 - run WS this Job or no ?
3 - debug file for Inventory on the WS ?

How to display id exist or not exist ?
For example
I have a students table with the fields student_id,student_name,student_email. I need to write a function and passing a student id and to show the output as
Student_id Exist
Student_id doesn't exist
Please help meHi,
You can do something like this:
CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION student_exist
( in_student_id IN student.student_id%TYPE
RETURN VARCHAR2
AS
return_val VARCHAR2 (20);
BEGIN
SELECT MIN ('Exist')
INTO return_val
FROM students
WHERE studeent_id = in_student_id;
RETURN NVL ( return_val
, 'Doesn''t exist'
END student_exist;
SHOW ERRORSA function like this might be convenient, but it will be slow to use in SQL statements. Outer-joining the student table, or using scalar sub-queries, would be faster.
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).

File does not exist on remote site, yet it does
I have been trying to understand how Dreamweaver handles remote files in CS5.
My server is setup as a remote server and a test server.
I open the remote file, it offers to get dependencies, so I click yes.
I click on Live view, then it tries to show me the following url
http://my_site.com/public_html/path/to/my/file/file.php
It should not put public_html in the path, and I did not specify this in my site setup. My root setting is /.
Anyway, If I change the url manually, then it shows correctly. Then it offers to discover dunamically linked files, which I agree to.
Now it tells me that 'Dynamically-related files could not be resolved because the site definition is not correct for this server'
If I try to open one of the files that it has discovered, I am told that it is not on the disk, so would I like to 'get it', so I agree.
Finally, I am told that 'Get operation failed since linked-file.php does not exist on remote site'
I suspect that this is all to do with my site definition, but I fiddled with the settings and can't resolve this. I think that the whole problem goes back to Dreamweaver's insistance on putting public_html in the path, but I can't stop it doing so.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
ianHi,
Well, yes I did manage to fix the dynamically linked resources issue. As mentioned above, I did need to mention public_html in my Root Directory setting in server setup (silly of me).
I had tried this at first, but it didn't work, as I had the server set as a test server and not a remote server, anyway, i now have it set as both and all is well.
Except that, the first issue that mentioned is still with me: namely, dreamweaver mentions the public_html in the url path when on live view, which is not correct and I don't know where it is inferring this from. I can change it manually, but this doesn't seem right to me. Am I still missing a setting?
In anwer to the questions:
1) My setting (now) in the Root Directory setting in DW is: /public_html/
2) My actual path on the server (that i mention in php scripts) is: /home/login_name/public_html//path/to/my/file/file.php
[In the advanced settings of DW site setup on the Local Info page I have set Links relative to Document option, although it does not seem to make a difference when I change it to Site Root.]
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

I shot a video on my iPhone. This got downloaded into my iPhoto during a sync. It has been there for months and worked fine. Recently the video was accidently deleted and the trash has been emptied. I just popped open Time Machine and went back and restored my iPhoto from a back up. It appeared to restore the video as the thumbnail reappeared where it had been before. BUT, when I click on it, I get a message that says "the file fork does not exist". I was also restoring a couple of pictures as well and those restored fine. How do I get this video out of time machine with a working file fork?
How did you restore your library from Time Machine? Did you go into your Pictures folder and then enter TM, go back in time to find the library you want and use the Restore button?

Creating directories several levels deep on the fly.
How do we write to a file that does not exist, buried deep down in a hierarchy of directories that don't exist either...
In trying to do this I explored two options. One used AppleScript, assisted by UNIX, which was simplicity itself, the other one used only AppleScript and was considerably more complex, and slower.
