    Hi
I think there’s no “file explorer application and reader folder xperia”!
There’s only an app named “File transfer”…
or  you can use “file explorers” of other apps (like OfficeSuite, if available, to navigate on folders…)
The only real solution, is to download an app from Play Store.
I use “File Manager”(Explorer) or “File Manager HD”(Tablet) (Rhythm Software) free.

I suggest that you run software update, after which you should have Safari 6.0.5 - then check Safari - Preferences - Privacy & see that 'Block cookies' is not set to Always.
Failing that - switch Safari extensions Off via Safari - Preferences - Extensions & test again

  • Error: "We're having a problem opening this location on file explorer. Add this website to your trusted sites list and try again"

    Hello,
When i try to open document library from SharePoint Production portal then it throws the specified error. However, when i open document library from SharePoint Development portal then it opens it in file explorer quite easily.
Production portal is on https whereas development portal is on http. Also, UAG has been configured on production portal.
Any idea where it's getting stuck up? Surely, this is not a browser issue on Windows 7 as it's opening the development portal's document library on the same machine.
    I've also done following things:
    - Configured Desktop Experience on production environment
    - Installed the hotfix for Windows 7

    Hello Sohaib.
Here is the list of causes defined here.Hope it helps you
The cause and the resolution methods are the following:
Cause: There is a missing Root site collection...
Resolution: Check and ensure,  that the “Managed Paths” are not changed in the web Application’s page, there is a (root) explicit for
this web application and there is a working Root site collection.
If for any reason this is not the case in your environment, you may try the following:
    - Apply (if not already) the following Hotfix to one of those clients:
Error when you open a SharePoint Document Library in Windows Explorer or map a network drive to the library after you install Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2846960
Then, try to delete the cache of the IE browser before reproducing the issue. Check the result..
    - Try to temporarily disable the Antivirus and test again.
    - Check if you have installed the Desktop Experience feature on the SPS13 server.
    - Check if you face this behavior with all users, Or only with some specific ones, Or with all different client OSes..
Otherwise you will need to collect the logs to further analyze...

  • Sharepoint 2013 explorer view error - problem opening this location in file explorer (HTTPS + Win7 Enterprise 64 bit + IE9 32 bit + Office 2007 32 bit)

    Hi,
We have a problem using Sharepoint 2013 explorer view. (Error - We're having a problem opening this location in file explorer. Add this web site to your trusted sites list and try again).
I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit, Office 2007 32 bit and IE9 32 bit. And the sharepoint site is a https site.
Some people in my organization are able to browse and some users getting the above error. (with the same client machine configuration)
If I clear my browser cache, closes the browser and open it then the explorer view is working. But after a minute if I try again I'm getting the above mentioned error. This 1 minute expiration happens is since the first time I have used explorer
view, not since I opened the browser.
I have tried the following on my machine:
    1. Modified the web client service to run automatically.
    2. Verified the sharepoint site is part of trusted sites (https://*.spsite.com/)
    3. Compatibility mode is turned on.
    4. Tried adding
AuthForwardServerList in the webclient registry settings under parameters. (restarted the web client)
    5. Verified the BasicAuthLevel set to 1 (since we are using SSL). Tried setting the BasicAuthLevel to 2 as well. (restarted the web client)
    6. Tried installing software update for web folders (KB907306).
Verified the below on the production server:
    1. The web application has the root site collection.
    2. It has WebDav Publishing disabled under IIS Web Server feature.
Could some one please help me in resolving this issue?
    Thanks.

    Hi  Deepak,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to use "Open with Explorer"  in a document library.
For your issue, please verify the following:
ActiveX controls must be enabled in IE.
As you are using Windows 7 Server as the client computer, you must install the Desktop Experience feature from Server Manager.
Make sure there is a working Root site collection.
Install this hotfix for windows 7 work with sharepoint 2013 :hotfixv4.microsoft.com/.../463266_intl_x64_zip.exe

  • How do I add a file explorer to my website

    Hello,
I am currently in the process of building my website. I require a file explorer facility that will enable me to browse and download documents from the web page. I like the APACHE style browsing facility e.g you can see an example of it here: http://www.malvern.plus.com/backup/
Can anyone please tell me how I can integrate this or any other similar facility in my web page. Any advice is appreciated.
    d.

Thanks for the reply but I don't think I was clear
    enough:
Basically is there some way that will allow me to
    browse
my web site like a file index? In other words, is
there something that will show me a website like the
pages Apache generates when there is no index.html? Is
there any clever way of doing this without using
    javascript and ASP ...?
    Cheers
DaveWhat you see on the apache website are infact not html files nor any other files.actually they are actual directories that are residing on the unix box
You can do that by allowing directory browsing for your application
BTW is your application keen on sharing files

  • File Explorer File Enumeration Slowdown in Windows 8.1 - Why?

File enumeration in Windows 8.1 appears to be slowing down.
    Here's what I mean:
On a freshly rebooted system (i.e., with few files in the cache), open a File Explorer window on the root folder of drive C:.
Select all the files, then right-click and choose Properties.
TIME how long it takes to finish, and divide the number of files enumerated by the seconds it took to do the enumeration.
Do it again now that the data is all cached.
I've always thought this was a decent way to gauge real world file system responsiveness, and in fact it really was a pretty good benchmark up until Windows 8.1 came along.  With Windows 8(.0) and earlier, if you saw more than 30,000 files per
second counted up, you had a very good SSD setup.
On the workstation on which I'm typing this, my Windows 7 x64 installation would enumerate about 30,000 files per second the first time, and about 50,000 files per second the second time, from the RAM cache.  I have a very responsive I/O subsystem.
When Windows 8 came out the numbers were about the same, if not a little better.
When Win 8.1 was released they dropped BIG TIME.  File enumeration was something like 3 to 1 slower.
Now, with the updates in past months, they appear to have dropped even further!
Right now, with a fresh bootup I am seeing just under 6,000 files per second enumerated the first time, and a bit over 8,000 from the cached data.  This is DISMAL by comparison to earlier versions.
Thankfully, typical file system performance - as measured by how long it takes to do real work on a few files in real applications - doesn't seem to have been affected as much, but then most applications don't enumerate lots of files.
It seems likely that this enumeration slowdown affects real operations in Explorer beyond just this file count.
Keep in mind I can run a Windows 7 VM or Windows 8.0 VM on this same hardware and still see 30,000 files/second enumerated inside the VM.  My hardware hasn't degraded.  The older Windows systems are still just as fast.  If
I run a Win 8.1 VM the 6 to 1 slowdown is obvious.
That even the RAM-cached directory data can't be run through nearly as quickly in Win 8.1 says that the slowdown is in the file system implementation.
This isn't a question about why MY workstation is slowing down - it's not.  It's about why WINDOWS is becoming less and less efficient out of the box.  I have measured and compared progressive slowdowns in virtual machine snapshots
ranging from a fresh, out-of-box installation of Win 8 or 8.1, to one that's been run for years.  Something's becoming less efficient IN THE DESIGN.
    So...
Why is File Explorer taking longer and longer to simply count up files in folders?
A corollary question is:  What else is this slowdown affecting?  Explorer doesn't seem as responsive to me as it once did.
I'd hate to think Microsoft is slipping stuff into Windows to cause it to be slower and slower since its release date, just so they can make it look like the next version is faster.
    -Noel
    Detailed how-to in my eBooks:
Configure The Windows 7 "To Work" Options
Configure The Windows 8 "To Work" Options

the slowdown is in File Explorer, rather than the file system itself.
Want some more proof?  And proof that your system is caching the data that is needed.  And proof that stuff may be being ignored by WE which should be counted...
In an elevated cmd window at the desired drive root enter:
    D:\>dir/a/s | findstr "File(s) Dir(s)"
The surprise for me is the way the pipe seems to work?   Is it really a separate process that doesn't have to wait for the completion of the first stage's output?
Anyway, I might be willing to time that--in fact, it may be possible to automate its timing--but I am definitely not interested in hanging around waiting for the number of
minutes that WE takes to be sure I get an accurate measurement--if you know what I mean.   <eg>
And apparently that would not be a fair comparison anyway.  WE only finds 2/3 in Size of what the dir finds.  I probably need to tweak WE's Options.  Finding only 2/3 of what another procedure is finding seems suspect even if it does
take an absurd amount of time longer.  The funny thing is that the number of files is almost the same.  So, what does that imply: that 1/3 of the Size was contained by some very few which could not be counted?
I should probably also try to convert that pipeline to Powershell and see how it does.  That could at least check the dir measurements in one way or another.  TBD.
BTW I think I am now on a faster processor than I had with my tx2 but this Surface 2 Pro even with 8 GB RAM still doesn't "scream" for me.  I have noticed that its firmware shuts down cores occasionally.
My guess is that could be due to its lack of cooling.  My tx2 always had its fans running full.  Maybe I will get a different result if I do this test in the winter than now in the middle of summer?   <eg>

  • Windows 8.1 64-bit: PDF icons in File Explorer fail to show

On my Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit it seems impossible for File Explorer to create thumbnails of my PDF files.
I use Adobe Acrobat X as my default PDF application.
I did some thorough research to find a solution. I expected a simple fix, but the problem persists hence this post.
There is only one work-around that works (from Adobe Community link below):
If you click Open in Acrobat
In the Explorer window select show large icons
Thumbnails will be created which will be visible in File Explorer.
My problem with the work-around is the extra work required to generate thumbnails. I have many PDF's whose front page thumbnail I use to select my file of choice.
    What fix have I over-looked?
    Cheers.
    Dave---
    I applied all these solutions:
Icon cache rebuildRemoved IconCache.db in %localappdata%
File Explorer > Options > View "Always show icons, never thumbnails"= off
Default application to open PDF Set to Adobe Acrobat in File Explorer
Default PDF handler set in Adobe Acrobat:
    Click Edit > Preferences…
Click the button Select Default PDF handler
Click Apply. Acrobat will start an installer and processes the configuration changes.
Checked system with sfc /scannowNo problem detected
    Removed thumbnails with Disk Clean-up

For many days I searched for answer of how an Internet Explorer add-on installed because few websites won't run without it, but Windows OS or Internet Explorer itself won't allow install of these add-ons.
    Please note following problems:
    1. Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system installs 32 bit Internet Explorer 11, but this 32 bit Internet Explorer won't accept 64 bit add-ons which I tried to install for 64 bit Windows 8.1, incompatibility of 64 bit and 32 bit which
I knew already but didn't clicked even on posting forum questions not before 'ORACLE's message in yellow.
    2. For 64 bit Windows I kept on trying to install 64 bit add-ons for Internet Explorer, which won't install or would send message 'Incompatible', once default installations of these add-on's are disturbed but not completely uninstalled, new installations
won't be entertained at all, only way is reinstall of Internet Explorer.
    3. Therefore I installed Apple's 'Safari', which also displayed same messages, but allowed install of 'Quick Time', and now I listen to my favourite songs on a great sound system of a website.
    4. Windows needs correction for this.
    Best of Luck.
Use the 32-bit version of IE. All rivals are 32-bit, no need for x64, a browser is not so big.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 pro's windows installer appearing after right click on any file or application

I accidentally deleted the acrobat 9.0 manually from the program files. The acrobat doesn't work... There is also a nuisance. The windows installer for the Adobe acrobat keep on appearing when i right click a file or application. I have to cancel it. If i wait for it to load, it will say that the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installer package "AcroPro.msi" in the box below. if i click ok, it will show an error- the path"..." cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again or try to find the installer package "AcroPro.msi" in a folder from which you can install the product Adobe Acrobat 9 pro ... It will also cause the computer to be very lag. I am seeking assistance. Please help.

This happens when I right click on ANYTHING at all, I can even just right-click on the desktop and that install window comes on!
The program itself opens fine separately. I 'll be honest, I haven't used it much as I am just learning all the programs, so if it is actually working correctly I don't know. I do know that I tried to used the "covert to pdf" button while on Internet Explorer and it would not work. Don't know if the problem is related or not...
I have that idiotic UAC off - it drove me crazy...

Do you have any third party shell extensions that provide thumbnails?

  • How to make a file explorer work under certain conditions

    Good afternoon,
I have built a VI that is basically a file explorer that lets you import data to another application, when a button is clicked, you can navigate throught the directories of your pc searching for a txt file to import and plot some ghraphs. I used the property node "Visible" to show up this file explorer as a window, so every time i click the button, it shows up, but I realize it is processing even if its not being used, like a process running in second plan, thats why I want to make it different, I want to make it run only when the button aforementioned is on true, and to make it I have tried stuff like wiring the button to the loop condition, using a case structure with the button wired and nothing seems to work. How could I do that?
    I appreciate your help,
    Lucas Faquim

First of all, thank you for your answer, Hooovahh. I am not an expert programmer, I really dont know the problems around the infinite loop, and dont know what are the issues around thhe abort execution, could you tell me?
To understand this idea, think of yourself as a VI.  You're sent to cook a full meal in the kitchen.  This meal is complex enough it'll require several burners, the sink, a cutting board, and trips to the fridge and cupboards.  I tell you to start cooking and you go about your business getting things going.  At some point, I come in and drag you out of the kitchen and don't allow you to go back.  What state is the kitchen in?  Is the fridge open?  Is the freezer open?  Are the burners on?  Is the oven on?  Is the oven closed?  Will things on the stove boil over creating a mess and potentially a fire?  Who knows?  You're creating the same mess when you hit the abort button.  You're forcing yourself into an uncertain situation that may cause more problems than taking the thirty seconds it'd take to turn your burners off, turn off the oven, and close the fridge door.  You WANT to have a cleanup routine in case things need to stop similar to getting the kitcen into a safe state before leaving.
With an embedded system, there isn't the typical user interface so if it stops, it's likely stopped for a LONG time.  These typically run infinitely until something goes wrong and they shut themselves down.  When you can put a stop button on the front panel and use that, it makes worlds more sense than leaving the kitchen in disarray.

  • File explorer java code

Hi, I need to write a windows-explorer-like File Explorer panel. Could anyone point to me some sample code?
    Thanks,
    autogoor

I did not try it yet, but you could use the NetBeans platform as a base for your application (includes file access via file explorer).
    Source code is available at:
    http://www.netbeans.info/downloads/download.php?a=b&p=2
Or, maybe, a simple JFileChooser would do it ?

  • 5610 xpressmusic (file explorer)

hey guys, what is the best file manager application for nokia 5610? like system explorer for s60.

Be careful, if you use any application that allows you to access and make changes to system files and folders, you may have the situation where you cause problems which could invalidate your warranty.

  • Can't pin windows file explorer to taskbar

On a fresh install of Windows 8, windows file explorer is already pinned to the task bar on the desktop. I accidently unpinned this icon and now I cannot get it back. The logical way to do this is to go to the start screen, right click file explorer and
choose the 'Pin to taskbar', but for some reason I don't get this option for file explorer. I can pin lots of other desktop applications, but just not file explorer. I work mostly from the desktop so it's really annoying to have to flick back to the start
screen every time I want to start file explorer.
Thinking I must be going mad, I tried the same thing on the Windows Server 2012 desktop and now I have exactly the same problem there!!

    Hi,
Windows Explorer should has the option to pin to taskbar:
If you don’t have this option, try to use SFC /scannow to check system files.
Or you can perform a system refresh for test:
    Click
    Control Panel
Click General on the left column
Under the Refresh your PC without affecting your files, click
    Get started
