File Explorer causes Dreamweaver 8 to crash
I am trying to use Dreamweaver 8 on a new Vista Home Premium
64 bit computer, but it crashes when I try to open a file.
You may not be able to do so. Dreamweaver 8 was released in
2005 and the
system requirements are as follows:
Dreamweaver 8 (2005)
a.. 800 MHz Intel Pentium III processor (or equivalent) and
later
b.. Windows 2000, Windows XP
c.. 256 MB RAM (1 GB recommended to run more than one Studio
8 product
simultaneously)
d.. 1024 x 768, 16-bit display (32-bit recommended)
e.. 650 MB available disk space

Sorting Pictures/Videos in File Explorer causes Explorer to relaunch.
I have a folder with all my pictures and videos in it, and when I try to sort it by date(or tags, however I don't wish to), explorer crashes and relaunches, leaving the folder unsorted. I have the same folder on my boot drive, and also an external drive,
but in both occasions explorer crashes. I have also tried to disable thumbnails, and changing the view to small icons/detail etc but I still have explorer crashing.
Thanks in advance.Hi SCOx,
Please take a look at the following thread:
Windows 8.1 File Explorer Crashing
Please follow the steps below to generate an explorer dump:
Copy the following into a new notepad, then save it to a reg file:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\Explorer.exe]
"DumpFolder"=hex(2):43,00,3a,00,5c,00,4c,00,6f,00,63,00,61,00,6c,00,44,00,75,\
00,6d,00,70,00,73,00,00,00
"DumpType"=dword:00000002
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\explorer.exe]
"GlobalFlag"=dword:02000100
"PageHeapFlags"=dword:00000003
Then double click to import it; or open regedit.exe and then import the reg file to it;
The next time explorer crashes, Windows error reporting would save a dump file under
C:\Localdumps, find them and then upload it into OneDrive and then post the shared link here.
After collecting the dumps, run the following reg file to stop dump collection:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps\Explorer.exe]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\explorer.exe]
Further, also take a check at this thread:
Windows 8.1 File Explorer crashes repeatedly
with iPhone movies (MOV) files
If we have some related MOV files, we may temporarily uninstall the related update.

File Causing Dreamweaver Crash
I have a file that is causing Dreamweaver CS3 Windows to
crash when in design view. I've tried it on a friend's machine
(also has CS3), and same result. File works fine on the web, and I
can edit it in code view with no problem. I am assuming something
is the CSS code isn't right, but I can't imagine what would cause
Dreamweaver to blow up. It should be noted that if I remove all but
TWO of the items contained within <div
class="auction"></div>, that fixes it. But if I add
another <div>, boom! I can't figure it out and it's making me
nuts. Here is the style sheet:

Cfloop within select causes Dreamweaver to crash
Placing a cfloop tag within a select (or cfselect) tag causes
Dreamweaver to crash when the mouse is clicked anywhere within the
code window. Code as below:
(Code attached)
The cfloop was going to be used to produce additional option
elements. The option element values were to be taken from the list.
Dreamweaver won't even let you edit the statement out or
comment it because it crashes as soon as you click to place the
curser within the code window.WaltBulawa wrote:

<cfForm> and the <select> with <cfselect> the
problem was resolved.
You haven't really resolved the problem, but delayed it for
another day.
To avoid the risk of future crashes, I recommend that you
delete
WinFileCache-********.dat after closing Dreamweaver down for
the day. A
clean version of the file will be generated automatically
when you next
use DW.

CS6 Crashed Windows File Explorer when loading Actions
Had a Tif file open and was trying to load an action set saved from CS5. The Actions File Open dialog box opened then crashed the Windows Explorer (not internet Explorer) and allowed me to cancel the Adobe Actions Open dialog when the explorer restarted (not the computer, just the file explorer).

CS5 crash when right-clicking on a file in a file explorer
Every time I go to open or save a file in Photoshop or Illustrator from the file menu, if I right-click an existing file that is showing in the file explorer window for open/save and try to select properties (I often need to do this when over-writing an existing file to make sure the dimensions are the correct file) the Photoshop or Illustrator freezes up and then crashes.
Does any one else experience this problem?
Any one know of a fix other than a re-install or "don't do that"?
Thanks!Sorry, thought I posted that this is happening in Win 7. It's strictly happening with Adobe products which use the antiquated Win 95 style file explorers.
No file permission issues. Doubtfully a virus scanner issue. It's a context menu issue solely with Adobe.
I can give you the full specs of my PC and software, but I'm really just looking for someone else who's experience the problem. If no one else then I'll try a reinstall. Would just be nice if Adobe CS5 didn't use the crappy old Win 95 style file explorers... -
Dreamweaver 2014.1 crashes every time I save a file
Since upgrading to the latest version of Dreamweaver it now crashes every time I save a file.
I have tried doing a save as using Dreamweaver CC instead which works fine.
Is there something I can do to give it a lobotomy without losing all of my preferences?
ThanksOk Henning ! Can you please share the crash logs .
How to Collect crash logs on win –
You need to add these entries in registry.
1. Go to run, type regedit and enter. This will open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting->Right Click->New->Key. New key named "New Key #1" will be created. Rename it to LocalDumps.
Add two entries LocalDumps
2.1 Right click on LocalDumps->New->Expandable String Value (REZ_EXPAND_SZ). Double click on the entry created and add value name : DumpFolder and value data : %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps.
2.2 Right click on LocalDumps->New->DWORD (32 bit) Value(REG_DWORD). Double click on the value created and add value name : DumpType and value data :1
Next time when the application crashes you will find the crash dump at C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Local\CrashDumps. Dumps will be created only in case of crash and not hang.
Thanks!

Long files hierarchy causes autocad to crash when printing to a pdf
Long files hierarchy causes autocad to crash when printing to a pdf.
Tylerdowner,
Uninstalled and reinstalled Flash. No change. The only thing that seems to consistently resolve the problem is disabling the Flash plugin.
I tried creating a new profile, but when I transfer the data suggested in this:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
I get an error window when opening firefox with the new profile ...something about security settings not working correctly...but I can print every time even though the Flash plugin appears to be installed and enabled. So I assume there is some kind of problem with my current profile. Any suggestions on how to find and correct it or a way to get most of my data into a new profile...that works...would be appreciated. -
Windows - file explorer crashes
Hi,
I have windows 8.1 on my laptop. The file explorer suddenly has started crashing when I try to open it. To open specific files, at times I try the search options which helps to open the file explorer. However, when I right click on any file, it again crashes,
putting the system on a hang mode for almost a minute.
Please suggest resolution for this.

Why does my Windows 8 at random or when I click on a certin thing make file explorer crash?
I have windows 8 and I just installed 8.1, now when I try to delete something or copy something (anything with a right click) or when I try to open file explorer (from the desktop) file explorer will crash, even before the update it did a smiler thing but
at random. Does anyone know why it’s crashing because it's getting annoying?https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Hyperlinks-in-Messages-Not-Working

File Explorer crash after Try Again regarding permissions when cut/paste folder
This happens for me every time I've tried it.
File Explorer crashes when performing a cut/paste operation from a
network shared folder that doesn't have permissions to delete the
folder/files.
In a homegroup sharing situation, with a folder tree shared for the
homegroup members to read, if I use File Explorer to cut/paste a
sub-folder of the remote shared folder to a local drive, I initially
get a prompt to Try Again
"Folder Access Denied
You need permission to perform this action
You require permission from machinename\username to make changes to
this folder
FolderName
Type: File folder
Date modified: the modified date
Try Again/Cancel
...and when I choose try again, Explorer crashes.
Can anyone else repro this?
Dave>Have you done all the usual things like looking in event viewer
Yes, I submitted the event with my bug report (using the awful
feedback tool which lost my entered text every time I reproduced the
problem).
Have you (or anyone else) tried to repro it using the information I
gave?

BUG: Importing m3u file (playlist) causes exception and crash
iTunes version 7.1.1.5, Windows XP.
iTunes crashes with exception on attempt to import m3u playlist in which one of the lines was 234 characters. Does not crash when the line is removed. Suspect this is a buffer overflow.
How do you go about submitting a bug report to Apple (including the file that caused the problem and the core dump)?

So a number of my apps (ie., United, ES File Explorer, etc..), which worked a few days ago, are now crashing on start-up or shortly thereafter. Have you recorded this bug and is a fix forthcoming? Anxiously awaiting an update.
There are a number of threads about this issue on the forum if you want to do a search. Basically, you need to uninstall the latest update to Android System Webview:

File explorer crashes since upgrade
After the system upgraded to 9879 the other day, File Explorer stopped working. It appears to try to start, but does not work. I can access it through going to Documents or Pictures from the Start menu, but even that runs incredibly slow and will hang
regularly. Reboots and restarting the process have no effect. After the system upgraded to 9879 the other day, File Explorer stopped working. It appears to try to start, but does not work. MP3 file causes Mac Projector to crash
I'm noticing that some (not ALL) MP3s when played in a Mac Projector (either using the "play" or the "playFile" command) will cause it to immediately crash. It doesn't do it during authoring, it only does it in the compiled projector.
Has anybody else ever run into this?Same response as I just gave on Direct-L: do you have required xtras packed into your projector?
