File extention of doc not promoting for taxonomy either docx is working and promit is coming for taxonomy on library

i am trying to Upload doc file with doc extention in a document library which have taxonomy enabled as metadata column it is not giving the promot for selecting the taxonomy either the field of taxonomy is must
but it is working if the file type is Docx
can any one help?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had issue about the .doc files with managed metadata column.
Did you enable the “Add to all content types” when created the managed metadata column?
You can create a new managed metadata column with “Add to all content types” enable, then check whether it works.

I have been trying for days to figure out this problem with updating Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Whenever I try to update the software, via under help, or click the update icon in the system tray, I then proceed to download the update but get the Error 2753. The File 'Dist_acrotray.exe' is not marked for installation.
I have tried repairing the software through control panel, and I have also reinstalled Acrobat as well. PLEASE HELP!

Can you please share the following info:
-> Which OS and architecture are you on
-> What are the exact steps being followed for installation.
-> Do you have any previous version of Reader already installed on your machine.
Also it would be helpful if you can you share Windows Installer log. Please follow the steps below to create installer log
1. Launch Notepad
2. Copy paste the following text in notepad
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
"Logging"="voicewarmupx"
3. Now press Ctrl+S to save the file.
4. In the "Filename" field type <any_file_name>.reg for e.g. abc.reg
4. In the "Save as type" dropdown, select "All Files"
5. Click Save button to save the file at desired location
6. Go to the location where you saved the file and double click on it.
7. Follow the prompts to create the registry key.
After the registry key is added successfully, please re run the 11.0.07 patch installer. Once you get the error message click ok and then click on finish to close the installer dialog.
Now go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp and look for file with name similar to MSIxxxxx.log.
Please upload the dump (compress the dump using WinZip or likewise) and share the link here.

We had this same problem recently and the faultbucket link pointed me in the right direction however the registry entries were different for us.
Most of our computers were fine but some had problems with Flash Plugins and some with Activex and some both.
The best way to fix a computer or set of computers is to first uninstall all Flash and then note all remaining Flash entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products.
These entries can vary based on what versions got corrupted on your systems.
This ended up being the fix for us for both Flash Plugin and ActiveX version. We tested it and had great success as a .reg file and are now deploying it via GPO.
(We had 4 defunct registry entries for Flash plugin and 3 for Activex)

I actually am illiterate on the use of the finder to to view photos in folders. I guess I will go to a class at the local Apple store for a lesson on the uses of finder .
My method of viewing my photos are through events in I photo.
1. Download from camera or scan in from old photos.
2 I organize photos into events by occasion, or happenings in a certain year, or a group of photos with memorabilia of a certain person from childhood and on. etc.
3. Because Iphoto does not allow rearranging as I was able to do in my old PC with Corell, I drag all of the photos to an " album" on the left side of sceen.
4. I arrange photos in "order" after which I number each photo in sequence. I do this for a few of reasons.
          - if a photo is accidentally deleted I know it. I can usually remedy this by checking my trash or
rescanning.
          - I can sort by title without complications and this holds in "album"
5. The pictures will re arrange automatially to match the album in I photo.
6. This worked great in I-photo 09 but now in mountain lion the pictures in events go back to "
sort by date" and will not hold "sort to Title"each time I photo is closed down. What a nuicance it is to have to go to view and click "title" again and again every time Iphoto is opened.
7. Can I go back to Photo 09? .

Upload file in google docs is ignored in FF 4b4 (OK other browsers and previous versions of FF)

I am using Firefox 4.0 Beta 4 and think there is a problem with the "Upload file" functionality in google docs combined with the latest beta4 release of FF. It worked up until beta v3. I have also installed v3.6.8 and seems to be a problem on all such evironments. I use Windows XP. I tried to disable adblock plus but same problem persists and I have to use say Opera.
Google docs provides an excellent gateway to publish stuff to my blog and to publish plain office and pictures. I have tried to disable "Popup blocker" but no difference.
Any help most welcome.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Showing linked files in Adobe Bridge not available for files on AD Volume?

In Bridge: when right clicking on a local InDesign Document that has external links, the context menu will have an action "show linked files" (in german "Verknüpfte Dateien anzeigen").
But, when doing the same on an InDesign Document located on an Adobe Drive Volume, this context menu action is missing.
1. Can this action be enabled for documents on Adobe Drive Volumes at all?
2. If so, are there any special things to do in the connector plugin (e.g. special properties, a special mime type for the doc, ...)?
3. If not so, when will you enable this functionality?

Really, no answer?
This issue is obvious. And it seems to be the case, that only Adobe can rectify the issue at all, probably in an updated Adobe Drive version.
Or maybe, someone already dealt with this issue and invented special properties for exposing linked files to Bridge? Though unlikely... Right?
Any answer is welcome!

Links to mp3 files in pdf docs not working on laptops

I'm working in IDCS3 on imac OS 10.4.11, producing pdf documents with links to sound files (mp3) and video (mp4). The sound/video files are not embedded.
The pdfs and sound/video files are placed on a CD. We have tested these pdfs on desktop Macs and desktop PCs, and the links to the sound files work fine, but on a laptop the links to the sound files fail completely (ie usually nothing happens, though sometimes there is a message saying the computer is searching on the C drive for the files, instead of in the correct folder on the disk). The links to the video files do work though. Any ideas?

I have tried to embed the mp3 and mp4 files, but the place command will not recognise them (they are always greyed). The only way I have been able to make the sound files play is by linking to the files using a button, but the 'embed all' command on making a pdf doesn't seem to work with this.

After detail checking I have found that in customer master data>>Partner function tab, there is PY payer is required entry.
When I am going to release billing doc in VF02 system is giving error message
Customer 730 has no bank details of the bank type 0020
Message no. F5025
I do not want to maintain Bank Type in Payer Master data >> Payment transaction tab because these are optional fields.
Note: If I maintain this field in Payer Master data>>Payment transaction then its allowing me to release Billing Doc.

Check out this link. This might help. The value set in ~WEBGUI_SIMPLE_TOOLBAR determines the button displayed on portal. Check the authorization provided to end user . The visibility of buttons depend upon authorizations as well.

Creative Cloud file synch misbehaves - does not wait for save operation to complete before throwing an access error

Creative Cloud File synch is too impatient and it constantly gives me an error when I try to save my project file from Articulate Storyline 2 to my folder on Creative Cloud,
This is from my log:

Problem is, the save operation is incomplete when CC tries to access the file. And it jsut gives up. It doesn't wait or retry, which means my file never synchs UNLESS I restart the CC application, or reboots, or renames the file.
Thats silly. Can you change that behaviour please?
