Hello..
I'm working on file to file scenario in XI.
I have success fully processed messages in SXMB_MONI but i'm unable to see the output in the output directory.
in the receiver adapter i selected like
file system NFS
message protocal :- file
target directory:- C:/
file name scheme: - fileoutput.txt
file type :- text
but in the sender adapter i selected like
FTP
file content conversion
transfer mode :- binary
fileinput name :- fileinput.txt
file type :- text
Please let me know any thing went wrong?

Also, keep in mind that a success status in SXMB_MONI only tells you that the Integration Engine processed it successfully and passed it to the Adapter Engine successfully. In order to see the status of the message in the Adapter Engine, go to Runtime Workbench. You'll be able an error message there.
To get there, open Runtime Workbench>Message Monitoring>(from the drop down) Adapter Engine <your adapter engine server>
Then just click the Start button to get the latest messages. Find your message and select Details.

Error message: "Can't open file "[File path, file name].key"

If I attempt to open any Keynote files, I now get this error message.
"Can't open file "[File path: file name].key"
To clarify, the text in the square brackets above would be the file path and then the file name.
The file then will appear on the screen, but is unresponsive to any clicks or menu commands.
The files will open successfully on other Macs, so they aren't corrupt.
Also - I've just checked, and opening Keynote and trying to create a new presentation leads to the same problem: All screen menus / buttons are dead - all I can do is drag the window around the screen.
I've tried to reinstall Keynote, but this hasn't resolved the problem.
Is there some corrupt preference file (or similar) that I need to get rid of? Is there an easy way to do a complete uninstall of Keynote so I can try another install? Or is this a symptom of something else?
All ideas gratefully appreciated!

All the issues I describe in my questions around this time re: Keynote were actually symptoms of a soon-to-die laptop. The Hard Disc was corrupting, and Keynote was the first application to be affected.

After completing my upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.10 When I attpemt to use "Tools/File/File Save As" from IE 11 I get a "Adobe Reader is not Responding" and my browser is locked up.

After completing my upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.10. when I attempt to save an online PDF to my local drive I receive a blank window where I would expect to see file directory structure to save to.
No local directories are displayed for "Saving To", it is all blank. When I try to Close (by clicking X) the "File Save As" box a message pops up on top that says "Adobe Reader is not Responding" It locks up all of my IE windows, not just the one with the PDF doc.
I then need to go Task Manager and stop the IE task. All my browser windows are then closed.
That is the only way to recover from the "Adobe Reader is Not Responding" message.
This was not happening in previous versions of Reader.
Tolls/File/File Save As always worked properly.
I have installed IE 11 (11.0.9600.17690)

I am trying to write a script that pops up a dialog box, asks for text and saves this to a .csv and a .txt This is so i can quickly record what i am doing and the times i am doing it, makes quick notes and various things like that. However it is failing with the message "File file path:to:file is already open" so how do i close the file or get around this. Cheers

Navigate to the file you left open. Probably there was an error and the file was left open because it never reached the 'close access' command.

Can't get File/File info to work on image in Pshop CS5 or Bridge CS5

After I've pulled up an image and I go to file/file info, I get a big white box on the screen with the file name of my image across the top of it, and nothing inside. Just a big white box. It's the kind of box that an image would normally go into, not the kind of box that used to show me all the file info. At that point my system is somewhat frozen. I can click on the top choices, eg. Photoshop, file, edit, image, etc., but the choices are all greyed out, forcing me to force quit. What's going on?
I'm running an iMac with Snow Leopard, have 4 gb ram. I'm fully updated to Version 12.0.4, and when I click on 'about' under Photoshop to see what version I have, I see Version 12.0.4 x32.

This isn't a solution but a possible workaround.
When you view your photo in Bridge instead of using File Info, why not view the information in the Metadata panel.
First I would go to the Bridge preferences, Metadata, and make sure that File Properties, Camera Data EXIF and Camera Raw categories are checked so the info will show up in the Metadata panel. You can check additional categories to show more metadata. (Camera Raw metadata will obviously only appear if the file has actually been opened in Camera Raw)
You should find the information you need in the Metadata panel.
As a aside, are these raw CR2 files from your Canon? Do you have the same issue with .jpegs or .tiffs, etc?
Does the issue still appear if you run Photoshop in 64 bit. I know SnakEyez02 say it didn't make a difference for him. Maybe it will for you.
To run Photoshop in 64 bit, quit Photoshop, in the FINDER select the Photoshop CS5 icon (the application NOT the folder) Command I and deselect the Open in 32 bit option in the File info window. Restart Photoshop.

PI 7.1 scenario -- File to File , File to IDOC and IDoc to File Scenario

*I have PI 7.0 . I have in that File to File , File to IDOC and IDoc to File Scenarios*
File to File -- This scenario is working fine.
File to IDOC -- Setting done in PI 7.0 like SM59, IDXI, IDX2 and in R/3 like SALE (logical system)--- This scenario is working fine.
IDoc to File -- Seeting done in R/3 like SALE (Logical system, Distrubtion Model (Port, Partner Profile)) -- This scenario is working fine.
Now I need to move to PI 7.1 -- for File to File , File to IDOC and IDoc to File Scenarios.
Please let me know do I require to make any changes in Design and Configuration and settings in PI 7.1 and R/3 for above scenarios or it will work fine as it is already working for PI 7.0
If changes are required please let me know what changes to do for each scaenario and pls also send blogs for that.

If there is no metadata maintained for an idoc type, the metadata for that idoc type gets loaded when an idoc of that type is received by PI for the first time. If you are looking at loading metadata of all idoc types before the first run, its really not required. Just make sure that the port is configured properly. Although, there is no harm in preloading the metadata using IDX2.
You need to use IDX2 mandatorily when the the metadata changes and the metadata in ECC and PI is different. In that case, you need to delete metadata for the changed IDoc type and then either you can update the metada through IDX2 or let the system take care of.

Error in file-file scenario: HTTP response contains status code 503

Hi folks,
I've encountered the foll error in file-file scenario:
Testing file-file scenario (followed the blog: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/flatFILETOFLATFILE&)
Initially i was hving problems with recvr comm channel, which are now resolved. File is sent successfully but not recvd. I tried to modify the scenario above and change the file type to 'Text' but still got the same error.
I've checked SICF -->default_host/xi/engine , we dont maintain logon data there. when i test the default_host/xi/engine service, it resolves into an ip addr as follows:
http://<hostname>.<domain.com>:8001/sap/xi/engine?sap-client=<clientNo>
(Also, we hv a BW system running on the same server ,which uses a fully qualified domain, while we dont which is why we get the above domain. Im not sure if there are any issues with that.)
and we get the foll error:
Error Code 10060: Connection timeout
If i remove the domain manually, im prompted for userid/pwd and get the foll result:

The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
Possible Tips: Because of J2EE application com.sap.aii.af.ms.app not active
Try to (re)start the application using the Visual Administrator Choose Server --> Services --> Deploy --> View on Application or restart the J2EE engine
The problem is that not all J2EE services can be started by the J2EE. i.e Start the Visual Administrator and select Server->Services->Deploy in the tree on the left. On the right-hand side, choose the Runtime tab page. You see a tree in the right window with all applications if you select the APPLICATION radio button. Check if they are running, otherwise choose Start. Usually the J2EE engine starts all services automatically.

I have just read the problem description and I have just the same error..
BUT ON the PCK while module developing.
What can I do on the PCK instead?
I have restarted the AFW Core service, the XI Messaging System and afterall the complete J2EE Server.
I have also restarted the CPA Cache, I thought there lies the problem.
Nothing help, even the same problem.
Any ideas, what I can do? (I was a little bit suprised that the CPA Cach refresh via url doesn't work. Maybe here lies the problem.
Any ideas?

File - File integration scenario in SAP XI 3.0

I am trying a simple file <-> file scenario in XI 3.0 . I am reading file content from an FTP server , having a simple mapping program in XI and then writing it to another foler on the FTP server.
I am completely new to XI , however worked on TIBCO EAI extensively.
I have created the following DESIGN TIME Objects and NOTHING ELSE
1) Two DataTypes , Two Message Types & Two Message Interfaces
2) An interface mapping & a message mapping object( mapping program) to convert b/w the above two message types
I have created the following CONFIGURATION TIME objects and NOTHING ELSE
1) Two Business Services ( Under Service without Party ) , and ve created a communication channel ( adapter type FILE ) under each business service
I am trying to use the Configuration Assistant under Tools menu , the doc says , i just need to select the message types & the rest will be genrated by the wizard. I choose the Business Service , but then what is the "INTERFACE" i have to choose , since nothin appears in the drop down. I tried "Internal Communication" & "Partner Communication" options but got stuck in both when choosing the "interface" object. Ideally i think i need to choose the "internal communication".
Any pointers to what am i missing will be helpful . What are the objects i need to create at Design Time & Config time to achieve the above scenario.

The Configuration Assistant does not work for business services without party. Go to the SLD and create one or two Business Systems and add them to the Integration Directory, then it should work.

I am trying to execute File-File integration scenario and the message is in Waiting state in Integration Engine.
I am getting the following error in sxmb_moni:

Can any one tell me how to provide RFC authorization to SAPJSF user.

that is the reason for your problem
The user entered for LOGON in that does not have the requisite privileges.
Would sugget you contact your basis team and ask them to make the connection going. Then, this problem will be resolved.
To add more, SLDAPI and the rest are used for the connection between your ABAP and JAVA Stack. As, your mapping gets executed in the JAVA stack, during the execution, as this connection failed, so did your process.
Get this onnection up and reunning and it willsolve this issue.

FILE - FILE Scenario - output file is not available

In RWB >> msg monitor shows, the message status is successful. But I'm unable to find output file in the directory as I mentioned.

Hi Govind,
These are a few things you can do:
Check the permissions of the folder where the file is being generated by XI.
If you are doing Content conversion, please can you just remove it and see if the XML file is getting generated.
Also, please check if it's picked up by any other application when you place it on the server.
I am assuming out here that you are speaking abt the file that is give by SAP XI after processing the incomming file.
Also check default .trc log file in visual admin.it will tell u if there any errors
and also check the permissions of the files generated by XI

File file = new File(URL) - no can do on 1.3?????

I'm using java v1.3 and when I try to use the constructer File file = new File(URL) I get this error :
C:\myservlets\TestServlet.java:26: cannot resolve symbol

File file chooser

Hi.
I have a JFrame (main frame), that opens another JFrame (popup frame) when u click a button, and in this frame I have a file chooser. The problem is, when i open the file chooser, the popup frame closes (shuts down) while the main frame stais put. How can i prevent the popup frame from closing when clicking the file chooser button?
