File folder labels in Bridge are missing

Last night while working between PS CS6 and Bridge, I returned to Bridge to find the labels below the file folders completely missing. I have shut down and re-started my computer a few times. This hasn't changed anything. How can I get the names of my folders back? Do I need to uninstall and re-install?

You probably accidentally have hit the shortcut for 'show thumbnails only' On a Mac this is cmd + T. Check the menu 'view' and see if there is a check mark in front of it, if so, deselect it and you should be OK

What version of Bridge and Photoshop and what platform? Mac or Windows? I can point you to a downloadable installer.
If the cdrom was damaged, it may be the problem.
You would uninstall and use the CC/CS Cleaner to remove any remnants before reinstalling.

After F110 run in the payment file the account holder details are missed

After running the F110 pament run, In the payment file the ACCOUNT HOLDER name is missing . The ACCOUNT HOLDER details must picked up from VENDOR MASTER. This is happening when ACCOUNT HOLDER and VENDOR are different. When ACCOUNT HOLDER and VENDOR are same it is displaying Correctly.The Bottom line is when VENDOR=ACCOUNT HOLDER, in the payment file it is displaying the VENDOR name correctly. But When VENDOR is not= ACCOUNT HOLDER, in the Payment file ACCOUNT HOLDER name is blanked out. The bank requires the name in that field in the payment file.

We are using the program RFFOJP_T and when payment file is generated, some of the payment details are missing.
I have executed payment run for 5 payments and only one 1 has come to the file and below 4 are missing.
The following payment documents/payment orders were not updated

File Content Conversion some fields are missing

I am trying to convert a fixed length flat file to XML.
Here are my parameters
CompanyCodeRecord.fieldNames = field1,field2,....field50
CompanyCodeRecord.fieldFixedLengths = 1,4,15,20...,50 (for all 50 fields)
CompanyCodeRecord.processFieldNames = fromConfiguration
CompanyCodeRecord.lastFieldsOptional = YES
CompanyCodeRecord.endSeparator = nl
If I do not use lastFieldsOptional=YES then the adapter is throwing an exception Error: Conversion of complete file content to XML format failed around position 0 with java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 1 according to structure 'CompanyCodeRecord':java.lang.Exception: Consistency error: field(s) missing - specify 'lastFieldsOptional' parameter to allow this
last retry interval started 19:31:08 2005-07-11
If I use lastFieldsOptional=YES then the message does not contain last 8 columns (That means each record is containing only 42 columns).
Please help.

lastFieldOptioanl parameter specifies whether the last fields can be omitted (YES) or not (NO) in a CSV structure. If you do not make a specification, the default value is NO.
So i think u should use NO in this parameter.

In opening an RTF file written in Farsi - or English and Farsi - many of the letters/words are missing. If I open the file up in Microsoft Word for Mac the words are there, although left-to-right rather right-to-left. (Again Microsoft screws with us as Microsoft Word on Windows will do the right-to-left.)
The same missing letters/words are found in TextEdit.
Interestingly enough OpenOffice opens the file right-to-left with all of the words/characters there.
I did take this problem to a Apple Genius at an Apple Store yesterday and he confirmed it's a software problem.
My question is when will it be fixed and does it affect other right-to-left non-standard character sets like Hebrew.

MsWord for Mac is pretty useless for multilingual support especially RtoL.
The same missing letters/words are found in TextEdit.
Did you export as Unicode text from MsWord for Windows, which has excellent RtoL support? See if .doc works.

Good question, all RtoL text in OSX is practically unworkable, especially when trying to edit it and any English text within RtoL. This is something I have been "offering feedback" to Apple since OSX came out supposedly with full Unicode and multi-lingual support. 10 years ago!
Right up to OSX 10.2.3 I was frankly misled by Apple (not allowed to use the 3 letter word here) who made out that I was doing something wrong (what an unusual approach by Apple!). Even then I did not get the truth from Apple but from a sympathetic developer.
Meanwhile it ruined my reputation with a few key clients and cost me a motza on the jobs I was doing for them.
The only working RtoL support you are going to get in OSX is [Mellel|http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8712/mellel] . But my recommendation is to stick to MsWord on Windows where you will be able to do more in the way of layout.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.

Avery file folder labels

How do I print file folder lables using an Avery template on my Mac? I have Pages and Numbers. I have tried to download the template from the Avery website but it doesn't seem to work or am I doing something wrong?

The Avery template is a Word file which Pages will open:
Menu > View > Show Layout
will then show you the textboxes for the labels . You can then type or paste those.
Merging from Numbers won't work becuase Pages only takes one entry per pages, so they will all be the same.

File folder labels for mac

I give up. On my old PC, there was a label template that in "new document" form would allow me to type in any number of labels in any font I wanted, spaced correctly. I purchased MS Office so that I could have Word and do the same thing, but there is no option like this in Word for Mac. I go to the Label Wizard every time, and the only option is an address label, which is have managed to use for file folders, but i have to do one at a time or the whole page the same way. I've tried downloading the templates from Avery, but again--one label at a time and then I have to go back each time to open the template, etc. Am I missing something or is the the world of file folders, envelope printing, etc on a Mac? I have Pages too, but haven't found a solution there either.

Did you want different labels or all the same?
If you want them all the same do a search and replace.
If you want them different then you will have to type them anyway or use Contacts.
Formatting is up to you, it is just Styles.
When you have it the way you like it, Save As Template and it will be in your Template Chooser.
What "Label Wizard" are you talking about? Macs don't do "Wizards".

Subfolders created in Bridge are missing in the OSX finder

To organize large folders of photos via Adobe Bridge, I created subfolders. In the OS X finder, these subfolders do not show up. I am, of course, worried about files going missing because I cannot burn a cd for backup because OS X doesn't see any of the subfolders. Besides the obvious (create all folders in the finder, not Bridge) is there anything I am doing wrong or is their a known issue?

Not aware of such a problem, using CS5 and OSX 10.6.5. Just created a series
of nested subfolders via Bridge up to 9 levels using random the icon in the
path bar, the menu command under File and the shortcut (shift-cmd-N) and
they all show in the finder up to the last level I created.

Labels possible in Mail (like Eudora or like file / folder labels)

For nearly 14 years I have used Eudora exclusively but am transitioning now. OK but a few things I really miss in Eudora.
One is the ability to give each message a label- and that means a color. I see I can FLAG messages in Mail - but the flag doesn't seem to do anything other than let one group all flagged messages-- and it's just one flag (i.e. similar to giving my Eudora Messages an "A"-Red priority).
But Macs have had the choice of 7 label colors since ?? system 7 I think. Is there any way to label individual messages and have the line turn that color?
OK THERE ARE these Rules in Preferences -- but they are actually more like FILTERS - and while that is really nice-- I've just color coded some things -- text and background-- I also would like to do this manually-- any script here? Or what about creating an ingenious rule that I can apply at will (but it seems rules activate automatically on all incoming eMail messages...)

It was never answered but I found out that you can simply show the colors palette and color like that (background, not text) or use a $30 program MailTags - again background colored in version 2, not the text-- but lots of features in MailTags. Friday 16 October 2009

When client open folder with html files to preview web site, some pictures are missing when previewed.

However all images are in "images"folder. Same images are missing when previewed in Firefox and Explorer.

Are you sending this other person all of the image files in
the same relative location as they are on your local computer?
For instance, if you are sending them index.html and your
images are in a folder called images, you should be sending them a
Zip file with the following enclosed:
index.html
images (folder)
image1.gif
image2.jpeg
If you are sending this type of structure to your other
party, check the links in code view. Make sure they are relative.
If they are, on the index.html page they would look like
images/image1.gif. If it says anything like C:/ or something that
points to a local drive they you will need to make sure the image
are within the site definition and then save the files
again.

File Folder in Xperia z1

I have just got a new Xperia Z1 but surprisingly there is no 'file folder' and a pre-installed third party App named 'File Commander' is available. WE can use this App but it also suggest to go for 'Primium version'. There should be a File Folder like Samsung samrtphones are having 'My Files' for keepin general type of files or like the Album, which contains all the photographs.

I'm not sure i understand what you're asking for as i'm not familiar with this Samsung app.

If i understand it correctly they have one app for looking at pictures stored internally, "Gallery", and one app for viewing pictures stored on the microSD, "My files"? Album in your Z1 will display pictures both on the internal storage and microSD. We don't have different apps for this.
If you want to move your pictures to the microSD, just go to Settings -> Storage -> Transfer data to SD-card. If you want to move single files you can use File Commander or a computer.
If this doesn't answer your question, could you please explain a bit more detailed what it is you're trying to do, what file type and where you want to access and so on?
