File manipulation:  Where is the edit?

I can, with a little effort, find a single photo I've just imported, then I can edit it.  Nice.
Then what?  It seems to exist in the Touch app, and the Touch app alone.  I can't move the photo into another folder, even one created in Touch.  I can't upload it to FB (which is why I got the iPad in the first place), and the edited photo doesn't appear in the Photos app.
Where is the edited photo?  How can I move it?
I called Adobe Tech support, and no one there was trained in Touch and so couldn't help me.  I hope someone here can.

On the projects menu you can save it to your gallery or "share it"(icon with a square and arrow). I don't have a Facebook app installed so I don't know if it will show up in the "share it" menu. My Dropbox, Gmail,  and Evernote are there so I assume Facebook would be listed if I had it installed. You can share it with  jpeg, png, psdx, and psd file formats. If you save it to your gallery it is limited to jpeg and png.
You CAN NOT access the working file directly, but have to save an addiitional copy in another location that CAN be accessed. It's a little unconventional but I can easily change my workflow to accommedate it.
Also, I'm on version 1.4 and don't remember if 1.3 had this feature. In version 1.2 I wasn't able to "share it" to Dropbox. I'm also on a Galaxy Note 10.1 but assume it would be the same on an ipad.
There are some instructional videos on Youtube on how to use PS Touch.

  • Where are the edited files located in Lightroom?

I want to be able to use my edited files in InDesign but the only way I know how to do it is to export them to a folder in the finder. This poses a couple of problems. For one it doubles the amount of disk space I use and perhaps more importantly it will not bring the changes I make in Lightroom over to InDesign. Does anyone know where Lightroom saves the edited files after they have been edited in Lightroom?

I don't know InDesign, so your mileage may possibly vary, but I don't get involved in formal LR exports and imports when editing with other apps.  What I do when I need to use another editing app in addition to LR is right-click the image in LR and select Edit In... and pick the app I want to use.*
I'm given three choices for the other app:  Edit a Copy With Lightroom Adjustments (the choice you want in your example), Edit Copy (start over, ignoring what I've done in Lightroom), Edit Original (ditto, but BZZT! not a great idea, to me at least).
The file opens in the other app (and also in Lightroom, as a copy) in the default file format that app is set to use, such as .tif, assumed here.  I make the edits I want there, and then I Save the image again within that app.  That saves the app-edited .tif copy back to the Windows folder being used by Lightroom for the imported .dng Lightroom image files. Note also that there is now a second copy of the image that appears in the Lightroom filmstrip, adjacent to the right side of the .dng image, that is the .tif file and reflects all the edits in the other app. I can make further edits within Lightroom to the .tif (or to the .dng file without the app edits), but in the .tif file, I now can't undo any changes made before I saved in the other app.  Those edits, including the Lightroom edits before opening in the other app, have now become destructive edits in that .tif file.  (This is why I recommend working with a copy, not the original.)  If I need to undo something LR did before I went to the other app, I delete the .tif file and start over with the .dng.
When I'm done editing from LR (I let LR manage the final edited copy), I can Export that .tif file with any additional edits LR made, Print from within LR, etc.
*If you can't see the app you want to use when you select Edit In, go in LR to Edit>Preferences>External Editing tab, and under Additional External Editor, click the Choose button and navigate to the .exe file for the app you want to use.  You also set the file format and other preferences there. Save your new preference with the OK button, and right-clicking will bring the other app up in LR as an Edit In option.

I'm considering buying CC LR/PS package. My camera is Sony a7 - raw ARW. I've been editing using PSE10 and ver 8.7 of the external Adobe DNG converter. Will I be able to open the DNG files in LR with the edits preserved? Will I be able to open the PSD files in LR with the edits preserved? Any import/catalog etc issues between PSE10 and LR?

Lightroom has no problem reading DNG files. Whether the edits you have done to the DNGs you have originally edited in Photoshop Elements 10 I'm not sure. ACR edits made to DNGs are saved in the DNG file itself, as apposed to a XMP sidecar file, so LR should see those edits. At the worst you will get an exclamation mark in the upper right hand corner of the imported DNGs and clicking on that exclamation mark you will get a dialog box asking you to either import settings from disk or overwrite settings. you would select import settings from disk.

  • Where has the edit key gone

i notice that the recent new models of the n-series were without the edit key, noticably after n95 model. i actually find it quite convenient in terms of marking and unmarking files, copy and paste sentences, as well as changing language (well sometimes i mix the use of chinese and english in sms, msn and skype). i hope nokia will bring it back...

The '#' key replaces the edit key for most of these functions. As described in the manual...

  • HT4539 Where's the edit button

I hate to be stupid, but I am trying to enable automatic downloads on my PC.  Instructions say go to iTunes, select Edit.  For the life of me, I can't find an edit button.  Where is it?  I have a new iPhone 5 and installed iCloud.

It is on the iTunes menu bar. At the top left you should have File, Edit, View, Controls, Store, and Help. I think you are looking at the device menu bar.

  • Where is the editing toolbar?

I am trying to edit a document using Adobe Reader. I did this once before with no problem, but this time editing toolbar is nowhere to be found. I have followed the directions given by adobe for both reader and acrobat. In the first revision, the acrobat model appeared when I opened the document, but this time nothing appeared. I have since right clicked on the comments window and then the annotations box, but the only editing features are sticky note and highlight text. What is going on?
    Thanks,
    Leonard

That Reader has no editing capabilities. Acrobat has some. And PDF files are not designed to be edited...

  • Where is the Edit Develop Settings option???

    Hi all
I am doing some study for my Photoshop ACE exam with the help of a study guide (ACE Exam Aid).
One of the questions it asks is:
You have saved the current image settings as a preset in Camera Raw and want to apply it in part or whole to selected raw files in bridge. What should you do?
The answer turns out to be: Choose Edit > Develop Settings and then select preset by name.
Now for the life of me I can't seem to find this Edit > Develop settings option in Photoshop, Camera RAW or Bridge!
Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Highlight an image in bridge, then simply go to edit and it is the 11th choice down in the list.

  • Where is the editing tab in iMovie HD?

when i open iMovie HD and am working in my project... i don't see my editing tab next to clips.
at the bottom of the frame all it says is clips, photos, audio, titles, trans, effects, idvd.
i don't see the tab that says clips, themes, media, editing, chapters.
is there a toolbar that i'm missing?

Does your toolbar look like this:
Or does it look like this:
iMovie HD 6 is the top bar and the bottom bar is iMovie '11. Also you can go to the iMovie Menu and choose about iMovie and read back the version number it reports there.

  • Where are the "Edit Original" or "Edit a Copy" options?

I'm using the latest version of Lightroom (5.7.1) and if I select "Edit In" and choose Photoshop, I no longer seem to have the option to select "Edit a Copy" or "Edit Original", which I use to have.
Now, if I select "Edit In" and then "Edit in Photoshop CC 2014", the image is automatically brought into Photoshop with Lightroom Adjustments applied. Was this a new feature in recent versions of LR or do I still have the option to edit a copy in Photoshop? If the option is still available, how do I reset Edit option do that I can manually choose one of the three options?

When Lightroom and Photoshop are in sync as far as versions are concerned, and you are working with raw images, those choices don't appear. However, I think you will find if you choose a non-raw image such as a JPEG or TIF that you have made adjustments to then that choice will be presented.

  • Where do the editing menus go?

In using the CS6 version of Adobe, and in editing a form - when I begin, I see all my TOOLS menu choices on the left.
But when I choose Forms Editing, the other tools disappear (specifically CONTENT), so I can't go back to edit objects without saving and closing the form and reopening.
Along the top of the form, the commands are disabled, so I can't get the tools back that way either.

Thanks to all. Several of us, who are familiar with Adobe forms, thought it weird that one would have to close out a program to get back to the content editing  mode. It works now, for reasons unknown. Thank you.

Also, is it normal to have those Essentials covering something else on the control panel? It seems that's not the way it was.
No. That's the Workspace toolbar floating. You can click/drag to re-dock it, or click that Essentials-v button and choose Reset Essentials. That should put it back in its default position.

  • DATA MODELER 3.0 -Loss of the fields in my file DMD - Where are the fields?

    Hi to all!
I have a serious problem with version 3.0. After working to create a relational design I saved the project. Then I moved to another folder, e tried to re-open the. Dmd, and to my surprise, I lost all fields, PK, FK and indexes.
I tried to import the DMD, and the import, displays the correct fields, select them, and when I import, again not the fields appear.
Can someone tell me what the problem, and if you can solve?
    Thanks in advance,
    Raúl.

    Hi Raúl,

  • Where is the "Edit Volume" box below the Timeline?

I would like to make audio level changes several times within an audio clip of my project.  It is described/illustrated here:
    http://multimedia.journalism.berkeley.edu/tutorials/imovie/audio/
However, I cannot find the box described.  Is there some setting I need to toggle on to make this appear so that I can selectively adjust the audio level?

What is it you are trying to do. If you want to forward a message, you do this a different way now. You tap and hold on the message bubble and tap on More. It will select that particular message bubble. From there you can select others, then tap on the arrow in the bottom right corner and this will take you to the forward message screen.
