_file_name_convert for normal restore

Hi,
Can I use db_file_name_convert and log_file_name_convert for normal RMAN restore.I know that the same can be used with duplicate command to restore the datafiles to a new location .But I want to use the same for normal database restore/recovery when the filesystem is different on the target and destination machines

db_file_name_convert & log_file_name_convert is to tell controlfile that earlier the files are in a location now its in different location..

ITunes Error 11 received when doing a normal restore on iPod Touch 4G iTunes.

Hi. I'm trying to do a normal restore on my iPod Touch 4G on iTunes. I'm running on the up-to-date firmware of 6.1.6 What I am basically doing is putting my iPod in Recovery Mode, plugging it into my PC, click "Restore and Update", allow iTunes to download the firmware, and let it go. What happens is, right when it is done "preparing for restore", I receive an Error 11. Now, I looked on the internet and it says Error 11 occurs when custom IPSW firmware is involved. This is not the case for me. Maybe I'm looking at wrong sources? I just want to fix this and clean my iPod. Please help me

'check for updates' & 'restore' buttons always dimmed in itunes

This is a constant problem that I have with my 30gb ipod video, also it shows the ipod as a flat non 3D ipod, not the one with shadow and standing upright. As well it doesn't recognise the serial no. or software version.
I have a fairly normal wireless internet connection, that works fine. If I plug it into another mac somewhere else it will recognise the ipod as it should. It's just at my place that it doesn't work properly.
So, even if I wanted to I can't update or restore from my mac. Very annoying!!!
Has anyone had this problem?

That's sounding like the ipoddriver.kext has gone skunky on your Mac. See:

Excise invoice is meant for normal exports.

I have used same excise group but different series group and number ranges for that series group.

Using if statement in a trigger to prevent autoincrement for a restore

I use the following trigger to simulate an autoincrement on the primary key id, each time a row is inserted:

PAD Mini Locked after iOS upgrade, tried reset on iPAD did not work, plugged in and device not appearing in iTUNEs for reset/restore. Just get an Apple Logo then a flashing blue screen as if it is caught booting up. This has happened twice before and iTunes restore fixed it. But this time device not appearing in iTunes.
Running iTunes for PC. But as stated restore has worked before! Any help greatly appreciated!!

Place the device in DFU mode and let iTunes restore the device to factory condition.

Fingerprint utility is not working for normal users - Tecra M11

Hi All,
I installed windows 7 pro in Tecra M11 laptop and the Toshiba finger print utility is not working for normal users.
It is working only for domain administrators. The TFPU is not working for, normal domain users, local users, local administrators. If we run the utility it will ask to enter the windows password and once we applied the password then the message saying "entered password is not valid" will prompt even if we are trying to use the utility first time.
If we try with a domain admin account it will work without any problem. Can somebody help me to trouble shoot this issue?

People nowadays experienced that no matter How many times we glide our finger it have no response.In this instance, you might be very afraid of Windows password lost by reason that there is a plenty of important data on your PC.
Then what should you do? One choose is fix the Fingerprint scanners, but this method will cost a lot of money. The other is use the Windows password function to solve the problem. Certainly, this is a very safer, faster and easier to use method for you.
According my personal experience, you can try these three ways to re-access to your PC:
Method 1: Login with the default administrator account
* Step 1: Start Windows PC
* Step 2: When you can see the Windows login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys Twice and it'll show Classic Login box
* Step 3: Type Administrator as Username and leave the password field blank
* Step 4: Press the Enter Key and then you can be able to login the default windows administrator account which is it created by default when install windows.
*Note:* This trick is only work for Windows XP. And when you input the key combination Please don't put the cursor on any account. And if you change the name or password before, you cannot login by this way.
Method 2: Use the previous password reset disk
This method describes how to create and use a password reset disk for a computer that is a member of a domain. You can use a Windows password reset disk to gain access to your Microsoft Windows Professional-based computer if you forget your Windows password. Please click here to learn more.
Method 3: Using Windows Password Unlocker
Using Windows password remove software is could be the fastest and easiest way for you to reset your Windows password while you didn't create a password reset disk before.
There are 2 options for you: recover Windows password with a bootable CD/DVD or recover Windows password with a USB flash drive.

I know there is a new firmware for N73ME, my question is, anybody knows when will be release a new firmware for normal N73, with same improvements like N73ME (or more).

Creation of New consistencycheck condition for Normal Correction

Hi,
We are using ChaRM normal correction to check the transport imported to production system we are using the check conditon 'PRODUCTION_IMPORT_OK' which is implemented in Class CL_SOCM_INSTANCE .
On similar base we wanted to create the condition of 'ZTEST_IMPORT_OK' for normal correction, but we are not able to find the Standard code written for condition PRODUCTION_IMPORT_OK.
If find this code we can make some adjustment in this code with BADI for consistency check to implement the new condition .
Is any one worked on this type of condition , your help will be appreciated.

Check if needed to assign any account key to this new condition type in your procedure if needed, then mantain the GL acc for the same.
If you are adding this condition type in your TAXINN procedure (assuming so) you need to create the condition type for the same by using trax FV11.
If you are adding your condition type in Pricing procedure then no ned to create the condition record.

Down payment for Normal Assets

Dear Experts,
I have an issue on Down payment for Fixed Asset.
User created an Fixed Asset (Normal Asset) which is not a AUC Asset.Created a P.O and Assigned that Asset into the P.O. Now he want to post the downpayment request for the same through F-47. Now they are getting the below error.
You cannot use this transaction type to post to this asset
Message no. AA 834
Diagnosis
The transaction type entered belomgs to transaction type group 15. It has been specified for this transaction type group, that it is only allowed to post to asset classes for which it has been explicitly allowed (for example, the asset class for assets under construction). The asset to which you are posting belongs to class 46 (chart of depreciation XXX). You cannot post to this asset class using the transaction type entered.
Procedure
Check the asset number you entered. You may want to allow posting to this asset class using this transaction type group.
here i have the below doubts.
1. Can we assign the other than AUC Asset Class in OAYB for down payment (Group 15). but the system is showing the AUC Asset Classes only.
2. Can we assign GL Accounts for Down payment and down payment clearing accounts in AO85 other than AUC Asset Classes also? becasue if i check F1 help for those fields its saying only for AUC Asset Classes.
Kindly help me for how to do the down payment for Normal Assets.

i tried i maintained condition type (Quantity) and also manual entry , i maintained 2 account keys for normal account and accrual and also i maintained 2 seperate G/L accounts in VKOA settings but at the time of Account document generated time at billing level system is not showing 2 line like how we can see rebate accruals

Not clear where you have seen. You can see the accruals via FS10N or FBL5N. If you are not able to see there, ensure that the said condition type is ticked for the field "Accruals" in V/06

In my system customers are vendors too, with two different codes linked in the section "Account control" of the master data of each of them.
Launching FBL5N for "Normal" items and "Vendor items", and for the WHOLE RANGE of customers, the output list shows first all items of vendors and then the items of customers.
I'd like to obtain a report launched for the WHOLE RANGE of customers with an output list which shows me for each customer-vendor code, the customer and vendor items displaied alongside.
Is it possible by FBL5N? If not, is there another report fo this purpose?

FOR Normal PO, BSX Key is hit (i.e Inventory Posting account are hit) where as others are determined from the Accout assignment categories.
you can check the account assignment Categories from SPRO--> Material Management --> Purchasing --> account assignment --> Maintain account assignment categories.
select the acccount assignment cat. and click on the details tab. you will find the string in Acc. modification field.
check this acc. modification key using OBYC Transaction for GBB (Offsetting entry for inventory posting).

CHARM error - No Target system for Normal transport generated from another client

Hi Gurus,
This is regarding normal change. We have two clients in development. (Workbench and Customizing)
We were trying to do Automatic import from development client to Quality. When importing the job, I’m getting an error related to Project Status switch. "you cannot import any request for the project at the moment" It works fine for another development client and we can see the target system in Project status switch.
But, checking the Project Status switch, looks like there’s no Target System defined for Normal transport generated from another client of development.
I attached some screenshots related to this.
Can you please help how to add a target system for another client of development ?

yes, client 110 is present in the task list of the project. yes route is defined because it is working for urgent change
