File name showing

I have a page i created in iWeb.  I have the pictures showing the file name in iWeb, but for some reason they are not showing up when i publish them.  I want to have the actual file name of the picture to show on my web page?

Open the Inspector/Photos/Slideshow/Make sure you have "Show captions" selected

    Hello.
    I believe this is a Windows related issue, since it's the windows Save File manager we're talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help on that one, I believe. You'd expect to be able to delete the entries by simply tapping ''Delete'' on your keyboard when they are focused (that's how it goes for deleting specific form autocomplete entries in Firefox), but I haven't tried that.
    I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

  • PL SQL File  Download - file name shows up as procedure name?

    Hello,
    I have been following the article below to create a download link to my db blobs, however when downloading the files, the file name appears as the procedure name as opposed to the desired file name.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10513_01/doc/appdev.310/e10497/up_dn_files.htm#CIHDDJGF
    any ideas why this is happening?
    Thanks,
    J

    I've been having this exact problem all morning and I haven't found a workaround yet. The example posted by ptjurley doesn't quite clarify it for me. I am trying to play a video located in a table using an embedded windows media player. I'm working off these instructions: http://iadvise.blogspot.com/2007/10/apex-implementing-video-on-your-apex.html
    This is the code for the otherwise blank HTML region on the page:
    <object id="MediaPlayer" width=320 height=286 classid="CLSID:22D6f312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112">
    <param name="filename" value="#OWNER#.download_video_file?p_file_id=935">
    <param name="Showcontrols" value="True">
    <param name="autoStart" value="True">
    <embed type="application/x-mplayer2" src="#OWNER#.download_video_file?p_file_id=935" name="MediaPlayer" width=720 height=540></embed>
    </object>
    Even when the filename and embed source is left blank like this: <param name="filename" value=""> I get the same error when trying to load the page. How exactly was this problem fixed, if it was resolved? I assume it's something to do with APEX not recognizing that #OWNER# is a variable within the HTML region, but I could be wrong.
    Also, the code for my procedure differs from the example given in the above link, since APEX didn't like the way it was written. This is the download_video_file procedure I am trying to run:
    create or replace PROCEDURE download_video_file(p_file_id IN HOMEPAGE_PHOTOS.id%TYPE) as
    v_mime VARCHAR2(48);
    v_length NUMBER;
    v_file_name VARCHAR2(2000);
    Lob_loc BLOB;
    BEGIN
    SELECT blob_content, mime_type, dbms_lob.getlength(blob_content) file_length, name
    INTO Lob_loc,v_mime,v_length,v_file_name
    FROM HOMEPAGE_PHOTOS
    WHERE id = p_file_id;
    owa_util.mime_header(v_mime, FALSE);
    htp.p('Content-length: '||v_length);
    htp.p('Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="'||replace(replace(substr(v_file_name,instr(v_file_name, '/')+1),chr(10),null),chr(13),null)||'"');
    owa_util.http_header_close;
    wpg_docload.download_file(Lob_loc);
    end download_video_file;

  • Make file names show in full with line breaks. How?

    I use column view in Finder. When file names are long, they're truncated in the middle, with dots. If I have several, similar file names, it's a pita to find right file. Either, I have to expand the column, or click the file to see the full name, or change view to e.g. one column view. To me, this is a major bummer.
    I'd like to have long file name continue in another line, like on the desktop (but not limited to two lines).
    Anyone knows a hack for this or some other way to achieve it?
    Cheers,
    Dan

    good morning, we are running acrobat cloud and we just got new iMacs running Maverick and ever since we've moved to the iMacs when we print to our Digimaster the file names are all the same unless we quit acrobat. Everything we print after that has the same name as the first thing we printed. i'm hoping its just a setting somewhere?
    thank you in advance for your help!

  • How do i delete file names showing up that no longer exist? thx

    I have bought Groupons that convert to PDF files. Once I print them, the file name remains on Adobe Reader X. I can't figure out how to delete these. The file itself is basically empty. Can't figure this out and I don't see any way to delete the title. I don't use PDF myself and have no idea what to do to delete. Most stuff, I can right click, scroll to delete and it's gone. Not so on Adobe !!! Just want to clean up the computer. These files have been printed & used - they need to go !!!!
    Thanks for any help

    Don't be fightened of CCleaner; it's benign.  And it can be tailored to do exactly and only what you want.

  • File name shows on the wallpaper picture

    After I installed Earth 3D screen saver, the images shown as my desktop background are now showing a large tag with the filename, path included, of the image. How do I get rid of that tag? I already got rid of the screensaver as someone suggested and the name tag keeps showing. Does anyone know something I could do to get rid of the tag? Help, please!!

    Hi,
    I had this problem too.  I was able to fix it using info from here:  http://osxdaily.com/2011/11/20/show-the-location-path-of-current-wallpaper-in-ma c-os-x/.  Basically, I followed their suggested terminal command and it worked like a charm!  Here it is:  defaults delete com.apple.dock desktop-picture-show-debug-text;killall Dock

  • Non-english characters in file names show as question marks

    It's probably iocharset=utf8 question, but it's not only cd-rom - native partitions with "defaults" options behave no better. What is the correct solution? Current locale is en_US.UTF-8, which should be OK.

    native partitions with "defaults" options behave no better
    What filesystems?
    For ntfs read http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/HAL
    Policies
    NOTE: this is deprecated from hal => 0.5.10
    and
    mount.ntfs linking
    As of hal => 0.5.10 the above policy may not work. This is a workaround forcing hal to use the ntfs-3g driver instead of the standard ntfs driver. Please note that this method will use the ntfs-3g driver for all NTFS drives on your system! As root create a symbolic link from mount.ntfs to mount.ntfs-3g.
    # ln -s /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g /sbin/mount.ntfs
    Possible issues using this method:
    if mount is called with "-i" option it doesn't work
    possible issues with the kernels ntfs module
    Locale issues
    If you use KDE, you may have problem with filenames containing non-latin characters. This happens because kde's mounthelper is not parsing correctly the policies and locale option. There is a workaround for this:
    1) Remove the "/sbin/mount.ntfs-3g" which is a symlink. code: rm /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g
    2) Replace it with a new bash script containing:
    #!/bin/bash
    /bin/ntfs-3g $1 $2 -o locale=en_US.UTF-8 #put your own locale here
    3) Make it executable: chmod +x /sbin/mount.ntfs-3g
    There is only a problem with partition labels containing spaces, so if you have such a label, replace the space with an underscore, otherwise when you try to mount it you will get an error.
    4) Add NoUpgrade=sbin/sbin/mount.ntfs-3g to pacman.conf.

  • How do I get the Organizer to show file names?

    I'm lost and confused in Photoshop 13. How do i get the file names to be displayed in Organizer? I've chosen to keep the older version of the "grid" display and miss having the file names showing. I've searched the online manual but can't seem to find what I need!

    ManyOldPhotos a écrit:
    And as a follow-up question, how do I get the font to be larger in the Organizer. It's all so tiny!
    If you are on Windows, you can set the font size  from the control panel, display options. You can set the text font to 125% or 150%.
    That will change the display for other applications too (not for the editor...)

  • Camera raw 8.3.0.141 truncates file names

    This is a recent thing.
    I open jpg images from bridge cs6 into camera raw and save new versions from camera raw into a new folder.
    Our incoming file names contain important data but not all of the name is written when I save jpg from camera raw.
    file name length seems to max out at 60 characters or so.
    THIS WAS NOT THE CASE SOME MONTHS AGO IN THIS MACHINE.
    Our folder names are long also but the combined path + filename length  rarely exceed 230 characters.
    Our file naming system has worked for some years and photoshop does not truncate file names, only this latest camera raw.
    This is on win 7  64 bit pro machine - our filenames do not need to be compatible with anything else whatever.
    example of our file/folder naming lenghts on my win machine:
    C:\AAliikkeet\02 xxxx oierjksinth\112255_ehhsyag somajrysen fgetrakunnan paievjerho_CO_10022014_til.73673\vlc\nietalahtn, naurvkustunr_bbseh syplamaiden syrdknhhar prifakehfo_IMG2722korjattu_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
    the real names have been replaced with strings of corrensponding length so this long baby represents a long(ish) folder+filename combo in our systems.
    This is a major new problem.
    Any help appreciated - even the good old "use shorter file names, idiot" but that is not an option for me.
    We are working in an industrial environment and systems  - including file naming have been working OK for some years and I cannot change our systems just to please my latest camera raw.

    Thank you for your kind advice and interest in my problem.
    I tested:
    c:\in\v  -folder is the one that jpg is read
    c:\in\vlc is folder that the camera raw saves jpg
    original file name was:
    HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN PÄIVÄKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
    it is truncated into:
    HIETALAHTI, TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAISEN SEURAKUNNAN P.jpg
    I shortened the original file name and removed the scandinavian A with dots on top of it and the comma from ther file name:
    HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5000_02.jpg
    truncates to:
    HIETALAHTI TENAVAMUSK_VAASAN SUOMAL SRK PAIVAKERHO_cpy004_5.jpg
    the scandinavian alphabet is not a problem (the file names are not always clipped in their position).but causes some extra truncating:
    HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY00.jpg turns into:
    HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CP.jpg
    and
    HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CPY0.jpg into same
    HIETALAHTI-TENAVAMUSKARI_VAASAN SUOMALAINEN PÄIVÄKERHO_CP.jpg
    This is why I havent found a good rule in this.
    In camera raw the whole file name shows under the preview image but  in saving the image the file naming example is truncated.
    Even the longest of our file names worked flawlessly  for several years until maybe two weeks ago.
    60 characters is top length that did not truncate in this testing

  • Custom File Name-Original File Number doesn't work. Why?

    I want to export and rename some files with the "Custom File Name-Original File Number" option. Yet this doesn't seem to work, and I wondered what I might be doing wrong. The filename will only rename as the custom text.
    The sample file name shown underneath has a dash after the custom text bit, but then the extension only eg Newname-.tif
    I am now using LR 4.2 but I seem to remember doing this renaming OK with an earlier version (though I can't remember which). This suggest that either there is a problem with this specific version or that I have something set differently to the way I had it initially. I am hoping the latter is the case. Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be welcome!

    I am sorry to report that i don't know how to create a screenshot. However, what I am getting, exact;ly is this:
    From Library grid view: F2 or Library>Rename Photo
    Then little screen appears with heading Rename Photo:
    File Naming> set to Custom Name - Original File Number
    Custom Text> NewFilenameHere
    Example: NewFilenameHere-.tif
    Clicking on OK changes the filename to just the custom text without the original file number. Original File name shows in metadata eg DSC01129-Edit.tif
    The only way i seem to be able to get the original file number with the custom text is to include it manually as part of the custom text.

  • File names not present

    Newbie  to Lightroom.  When looking at photos in any mode there are no file names shown.  Apparently I am missing something but
    I can't find a way to have the file names show above the photos.
    Thanks for any help

    View - View Options - set the screen (both tabs) the way you want it.
    In loupe mode, hit "I" ('eye') to cycle the info display.

  • File name + date

    Hi,
    I create a file writing;
    File file = new File("C:\\simba\\color\\names.txt");
    but then I want to create another one and name it "names" plus todays date. How do I do that?
    I use the GregorianCalendar and get the date but how do I add it so that my files name shows as; names032904?
    /b

    well you need to convert the date to string if it's not already done. Then you would just concatenate the file name and the date.
    if yourdate is the date you get in string form, you would do:
    string filename = "names"+yourdate+".txt";

  • Fix variable text (File Name) when importing INDD into INDD

    More of a fix request than a new feature:
    Simply put, the variable text (File Name) shows the file extension when the document is imported into another INDD regardless of the variable text specifications in the originating document. This is unexpected and undesired.
    Please see problem description in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/489492?tstart=0

    Seconded. Currently, I don't use this variable in this way, but I can envisage future scenarios where it would be a problem.
    And it seems a strange thing to miss out on ... (why would an INDD file behave different?)

  • Same file name when downloading new pics

    The prev camera I had (Sony Cyber shot/Steady Shot?)always kept dynamic file numbers/names however now have Nikon D90 and now if do search on a file number now get numerous pics under same file name as new camera restarts at same number all the time.
    Is there an easy way to deal with this. I would really not want to have to rename all files as soon as I download them. That can be over 300 pics at a time.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    When I say file name I mean the name/number that appears under the pic in iphoto.
    Yes that is the file name
    Do most people leave these numbers or change them, do you know?
    Most people leave it - some preprocess all photos and assign meaningful file names and then import
    I know you can assign words to them and then retrieve them by calling up all pics associated with that word(s).
    You can assign a title (which can optionally be used as the file name when you export photos), a description, keywords, and a rating
    Do you have any other hints for me? Do you use the Mangler software you referred to in the prev post?
    Normally I do not modify the file names - if I get photos from someone else I usually use name mangler to identify the source (which I could do with keywords but for photos that are not mine I prefer having the file name show the source) - once in a while I will change some but normally I just import directly from the camera and ignore the file name
