File Names do not delete

On my external drive (and not on my internal drive) my file names do not delete after deleting the actual file but leave a ghost behind. I have thousands of these ghosts now on my external drive and I don't know how to delete them. When I try to delete
them it says that the file does not exist anymore. I've tried the recommended solutions to no avail. Maybe it makes a difference on an external drive?

Firstly, please run chkdsk /f /r command to repair the disk error and then tried again:

if it's not helpful, boot computer into
system recovery options menu and select Command Prompt, type the following commands:
Type in "cd [path]" into the command prompt, where [path] is the location the ghost file in. Hit enter.
Type "del [ghost file]", where [ghost file] is the name of the ghost file in question.
After that, reboot the computer.

The hard drive may be dying anyway, or the directory damaged because it is so full. You should never let the hard drive get over 85% full.
A -36 error is a read/write error.
All you did with the power is reset the SMC. Does nothing to reset everything to factory settings.
Do you have your original 10.4 installer discs for the MacBook?
Is your data backed up?

Well, most of what we can tell you is already stated in the message you are getting. A phone can only sync with one library at a time. You have apparently synced your phone with a different iTunes library in the past, or changes have been made to this library so the phone no longer recognizes it as the library with which it was synced. To know which you will have to provide the information.
If you bought them using the AppleID you use with this phone it may simply be easier to re-download them directly to the phone rather than sync them, though you will want to resolve that issue at some point.

Could not initialize photoshop, because the file name was not valid

Hello,
my friend (not very good with computers) asked me to fix his Photoshop 8, because "it just stopped working one day". When I try to run it, I see splash screen, initializing photoshop, something about TWAIN, and then:

followed by crashing the Photoshop. I tried reinstalling Photoshop, resetting user preferences, even deleting all user settings from Documents and Settings folder, but nothing - I keep getting this error. I tried plugging in his camera, usb flash disks, because I thought Photoshop may created scratch file or something in there - but it didnt work.
So I decided to install him my copy of Photoshop CS3, just to make sure its some bug in Photoshop 8, but I didnt believe my eyes - after installing, im getting the exact error again.
And now Im completely lost - I was unable to google the error message, looks like Im the first person ever who happened to see it.
His computer is about two years old, 2 GHz cpu, 512 MB RAM, some decent video card, 100 GB space left on disks, operating system is Win XP SP2.
I would really appreciate any help, thank you in advance

also have you tried creating a new user with admin rights to see if it's an id issue? (sorry, there's several similar theads going on and i sometimes forget what i've read where.) there was just a guy yesterday that solved a similar problem by creating a new id. we could never tell what the problem was with the old one...

In Elements 13, when trying to save, I get this message:Could not save a copy as "agb3_2014:09_054.tif" because the file name was not valid.

I use Nikon NX2 then save as a TIFF file then do final editing in Elements. With Elements 8, I could then save as a JPEG file and upload to Flickr. With Elements 13, I get this message and cannot save:
Could not save a copy as “agb3_2014:09_054.tif” because the file name was not valid.
I note the colon (:) in the file name. I did not place it there. It is some automatic save. Typically I save as 2014/09
It is probably some setting I need to adjust but I am stumped. All help is welcome.

Don't use the slash, either. Stick to no punctuation except dashes and underscores for safety's sake. Other punctuation usually has another meaning in code.

The Muvos are USB Mass Storage devices and do not have the ability to display track information based upon ID3 tags.
The Zens all read and display track info based upon ID3 tag information that is either gathered from an online source or entered by the end-user.
If you want the track information displayed instead of the ID3 tag information, you could edit the ID3 tags and rename the title to whatever you have as the file name. Not sure why your file names would differ so much from the ID3 tag info though, almost all of my content has the same name for the filename as it does on the ID3 tag title.

I am getting the error, path or file name "java" not found, when I type in sqlj -version.
I am using a NT server and I have added the CLASSPATH and path to it.
Does anyone have any ideas.

I have to read a file using utl_file. But the file name is not exactly known.
The file name would be of the syntax uplldr_XXXX.CSV , where XXXX can be any thing like 1234. so file name would be uplldr_1234.csv in that location.
How can I search the file in the specified location and process the file with name begins with 'uplldr_' .
Hope I am clear to express my needs.

Yes I have to use in PLSQL UTL_FILE.
i.e.
utl_file.fopen(v_file_path,v_file_name, 'r');
and v_file_name is the name of file similar to name of 'uplldr_XXXX.csv', stored in the path v_file_path. Considering there is only one file in the specified path.

File name does not showing the InDesign icon?

I have got few files from my client and they said it is an InDesign CS2 version file. but the file name does not showing the InDesign icon on the file name, though I have CS2 and I have tried other version too.
Also I could not open the file in any version.
Can somebody help me?

HP 4500 printing file name but not the context

I have an hp 4500 connected to my router via an rj45 and have a laptop connected via wireless to my router. When I print a document from word it prints the file name and not the context.
I have also tried to print an image but the same happen the file name got printed.
can any one help how i print the context on the file and not the name?
is it due to my BT router?

component "FF_SRC_InboundFidelityInputFile" (1) failed the pre-execute phase and returned error code 0xC020207E.
although this package is working fine in dev environment from visual studio.
control-m agent has proper permissions to the folder still it is failing. Please if anyone knows solution for this issue. I am working on this issue since more than a week but reached nowhere. Please help.

"file name was not valid."

I flatten a layered file, 'save as' to a folder as a psd file. Everything is fine. I then want to 'Save as' again, to a different folder with a slightly different name, and I get this message: "Could not save as "AP3_BabesMain.psd" because the file name is not valid."
This is a one-layer file, nothing unusual about it. I just saved using 'save as'. What has the name got to do with anything? I can't close this file until i save it, so I am stuck. Can anyone give me a suggestion? And please, just because the name has 'Babes' in it does not mean it's porn! Serious replies only please.

I just had the same problem with a file that wouldn't save. I kept getting the "invalid file name" message, even if I checked that box. It wouldn't accept the name no matter what I tried.
Since I had nothing in the document but a little text, I created a new one, saved it the way I wanted with no problem. As to why the program wouldn't save the other one, I have no idea. Does anyone?

This problem has bothered me for a couple of weeks. Copied here is the exact error message iTunes delivers when I try to sync a video library over to my iPad.
"Some of the items in the iTunes library, including "file name", were not copied to the iPad because they could not be found."
What is so weird relates to the randomness of it. I have 19 video files that show in iTunes. When I sync to the iPad, I only get about 5 that move over correctly. The others get an error message as noted above.
Does this issue have to do with the files (i.e. attributes, type (.mp4), or any thing else)?
Is this really an issue with the iPad syncing software?
Getting a little frustrated. Anyone else?

I also get the same problem, this is very tedious but if you edit the song somehow and re-save it then it will copy. Not sure what the problem is at all, tried contacting Apple about this to no avail.
