  • DW CC - Related Files "Not on Local Disk"

In Dreamweaver CC, related files, shown as tabs at the top of the currently open file window, now fail to open their file content. So clicking on e.g. header.php would have brought up the content for header.php, now a message appears saying "header.php is not on the local disk". Opening it in the file list shows the file contents perfectly. This only started to fail today. The same file still opens from the tab correctly in CS6 so something in CC is causing the problem. All site files are on an external drive permanently connected to a Mac BookPro, and they have been for years with no issues. Any ideas why this problem started?

  • Why my self-signed applet could not read local disk but could write?

I used a self-signed certificate for the applet yesterday and it worked
fine at the beginning time, that is, it could write/read file to/from
local disk, and it could connect to other MDS servers. But later, a
problem happens. It could write file to local disk(I tested it and created
files to C:/ under windows) but when it try to read that file, it got a
io acessing exception. It could connect to other servers. I am puzzled
about this problem, and I wonder why I could write but could not
read. Need I deal with any policy file issue here?

    hi,
i 'am doing something which is similar to the stuff ur doing .I wanted to write into file on the local disk on which the applet is running.for this i have signed the applet .do i need to make it self signed wat is difference between the self signed and signed applet .The problem which i facing is that it still gives me the security exception even if i define the policy file for that applet............Can u help me reagrding this

  • I want to save and load the swf-file to a local disk of any user. Possible?

Hi, It's good to see you.
    I am a developer in Web Flash Game.( I use AS3.0 )
I want to save and load the swf-file to a local disk of any user,
Because I want to decrease the time for loading a flash movie from site.
    Is it possible?
If it is possible, I hope the swf-file has only one loading from site and
it will be loaded from a local disk of any user after that.
(I know a concept of Internet temporary file.
I want to know the other techniques of only using AS3.0.)

    Hi,
I have similar problem. We are producing a 70 meg browser based game and would like the user to be able to cache the game to avoid reloading the game the next time. Can this be done if the user authorise the save? If, so how? We don't care where the game is cached .
Can we prompt the user to download the file by providing a link from within the SWF application?

  • Redo log groups/files on the local disk for RAC DB

Whether is it possible/supported to place redo log files/groups on the local disk for a RAC databases ?
    Thank you,

    Hi Mufalani,
are you sure about this one? I'd think that this only works as long as the nodes don't restart/crash. I can imagine this like this:
The nodes store redo logs on local disks which are NFS-exported to the other node. Everything should be fine. But when one node crashes/reboots, the other one has to perform crash recovery for the crashed instance but this won't work when the NFS mount (with redo logs) is unaccessible. So I would not want to do this.

  • Generate files - memory (not at local disks)

    Hello,
I'm new at this forum and I really need some help over here...
I am generating an array of bytes and I need to let the user download the file created by this (a pdf file).
But I cant let the file at the server, so I was thinking about load it in memory so the user would be able to download the file without need to use the server....
Somebody know how could I do that??
    Thanks!

You're welcome, you could embed a file using a class and the
metatag. I think you could do the same using PDF but I've never done it.
    Sincerely,
    Michael

Yes, thats would be the best way, but the only problem is that I
have all that done with iReport and its working well.
With the alivePDF I would have to do all the implementation again!
If theres any other way it would be great.

  • SQL server 2012 does not see local disks other than C being started under domain account (which is local admin on the server)

Hi all. We have a SQL Server 2012 installed to a fresh Windows Server 2012 Server. There is a service account domain\rusystem01 created to run SQL services. It is added as a Local administrator on this server.
The issue is that SQL Server does not see any local drives (other than C drive) on the server if we run it from this domain service account (for example, we cannot move any databases to any other drives or setup backup).
It works fine (and other drives ARE available) if SQL Services are started from Network service account or Local service account (which is not recommended by Microsoft). But does not work from domain account.
Any ideas how to fix this?

    >Any ideas how to fix this?
Apply NTFS ACLs for the folders (and perhaps volumes*) for SQL Server.  Use the Per-Service SID, rather than the Service Account for the ACLs so they survive changing the service account.
The per-service SID is "NT Service\MSSQLSERVER" for a default instance and "NT Service\MSSQL$InstanceName" for a named instance.
*Volume ACLs are set in Disk Management.

David, would you please clarify what do you propose? I open D: volume on the Disk management and grant NT Service\MSSQL$DEV account with Full control permissions. Restarted SQL - no effect. Still only C: is visible for SQL.

  • Deleted files not relinquishing their disk space

My system has recently developed an issue that I've never encountered before, and having come to the limits of my own knowledge of OSX I am now hoping somebody on here is able to help me with the problem.
I have a CD 2.16ghz MBP running Leopard 10.5.5. Connected to the FW400 port on the Machine is a 500GB WD Mybook external drive, evenly split into 2 partitions -one of which I am using as my Time Machine backup drive, and the other partition which I've labelled Storage. The Storage partition has started to cause me some headaches. The partition is about 230 GB in size and contains a number of large DMG files (SuperDuper backups of my home directory and the like), and currently only has about 30GB of free space. When I now delete anything off this drive, instead of being moved to the trash it is instantly deleted. I have seen this behaviour once or twice in the past, but this time round I wasn't presented with the standard warning that deleting my files would be effectively instant. On top of this - and this is the real problem - the disk space used by that file is not relinquished back to the disk upon deletion. I have recently deleted about 70GB of files from the partition and whilst they have gone, I have not seen any more drive space made available to me in the Finder info bar or Get Info.
So far I've used a 3rd party util called Disk Inventory X to see how the partitions space is allocated, and I can't see anything untoward in there (such as a large hidden folder containing my trashes), I've inspected the .Trash folder on the partition and confirmed it is empty, and I've unplugged and re-mounted the drive, all to no avail. I've doulble checked I have ownership of my .Trahs files, and that all seems to be in order, and that's about the extent of my expertise - I can't think of anything else to do to get to the bottom of this issue short of backing up all the files onto another volume and re-formatting the partition. Given the amount of time this will take I really want to leave this as a last resort.
If anybody can help shed any light on this issue for me I would be incredibly grateful.
    Thanks in advance

Update: I was previously unable to try "Secure Empty Trash" because Finder showed my Trash as empty. However, after deleting a file from my Home folder (so that the Trash icon now shows there's stuff there to be emptied), I have tried Secure Empty Trash again and it looks like Finder has begun the slow process of wiping about 70GB from my external partition.
While this may have solved the issue for the time being, I am concerned that this behaviour will continue, so if anybody has encountered this issue before and knows how to deal with it, I'd still very much welcome your input.

  • Help! iPad 2 showing NEF/RAW files as 'local disk' ?!

Hi all. I really hope someone can help as this is doing my nut in!
I've always used the camera connection kit with my iPad 2 and Nikon D700 before with no problems. I can transfer the RAW/NEF files from my camera to my iPad 2, and then when I get home I can simply copy the RAW files to my PC by connecting the iPad via USB, browsing for the NEF files and copying.
I've just returned from holiday and tried to do the same, but my NEF/RAW files from this trip are showing up as 'local disk' as shown here:
They are definitely the RAW files, as when I right click on their properties they are about 13-14 MB in size which is about right. The properties box shows the file types as 'Local Disk'. If I try to copy the file on to my PC (Windows 7 Home Premium), it says there is an unexpected error (0x00000000) that keeps me from copying the file.
I can't rename the file to .nef or anything.
Previous RAW files from other holidays that are stored on the iPad2 still show as NEF/RAW and I can copy them to my PC with no probs. It's just this recent transfer from Camera to iPad has buggered all the files.
If anyone knows of a remedy to somehow rescue these RAW files or let my PC be able to read/copy them I'd be much appreciative.
Many thanks for your help in advance, and for reading.

1.) Which of the two is the visible one in Library mode? can one set the preference?
Raw only. The jpeg is sort of like sidecar. Cannot set a preference. The only setting you can change is to view them separately.
    2.) Which is edited?
    Raw only.
... and at the same time I feel I need to be able to compare them.
Lightroom's Canon-specific DNG profiles are developed to match Canon's picture styles (or whatever they are called). So, if you use, say, the Faithful Picture style in Camera, Lightroom's "Camera Faithful" profile will render your raws very close to DPP, if not identical. That's for default settings. However when you start adjusting, Lightroom's and DPP's processing may differ.
You may not even need those Jpegs for comparison, after all.

  • File DownLoad from R/3 to Local Disk through Web Dynpro

    Hi,
I have a zebra print spool, to be saved in the local disk. For this, I have an RFC which will store the document in Portal Server KM folder and will give the file name for web dynpro app. The web dynpro app will search the KM Directory, and will enable the user to save the file on the local disk.
Is it right approach? Is there any other approaches which would be efficient. BTW, I have files from 4k to 12k size. Can I directly attach it to the context variable and store it directly onto the local disk.
I am running Netweaver2004 SP16. I cant use Input stream, does this affect the performance?.
    Thanks, I appreciate your time.

    Hi Raj,
you have the name and the full path of the file you can access the file through FILE IO as the file is on portal server only and then you can use the File Download UI in web dynpro to download the file

  • How can I get file from local disk?

hi, in my project, I store the files in server local disk, and store file name in Database. How can I get the file according to the file name in database? which means the file names in database are mapped to the file in local disk. How Can my application get the file according to the file name in DB?
PS: file name are show on one web page as link, when user click the link, user can either open the file immediately or download to local PC.

    Hi Ashutosh
You will have to use sapcar.zip which contains the utility Sapcar.exe utility for unzipping the files from SAP compressed files. (*.car file)

  • Deleting Files not working!

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC W30 and do not know how to delete pictures from it. I usually get them deleted automatically after the pictures are transferred to the computer, but decided not to.
Now, I tried to delete them from the finder. I clicked on the camera icon on the desktop, and deleted all of the pictures I saw. This turned out to just be thumbnails, so there were still 950 MB (out if 1 GB memory). I knew there must be some hidden folders in there.
I used the program Tinker Tool to view all of the hidden files and folders. Ah, I found where all of my photos were; in a folders called .Trash. This was where all of the pictures were stored that were taking up my memory. I highlight all of my pictures, and drag them to the trashcan - and here is my problem - they wont move. I tried moving them into a different folder and then into the trash, and they dont move, they just create aliases. So I delete the aliases which does nothing to the actual pictures in the camera.
What can I do to free up the memory in my camera, and how should I go about deleting the pictures in the future?
I have been trying to solve this problem for about a week, and would most appreciate any help whatsoever.
    Thanks in advance!

Control-click the Trash icon in the Dock and choose Empty Trash from the menu which appears. If you are deleting files from a local disk, they will first go into the Trash instead of being deleted immediately, unless something prevents the Finder from modifying the Trash folder, in which case the computer will ask you if you want to delete the items immediately. If you are deleting files from a network disk, the prompt asking you if you want to delete them immediately will always appear.

  • My laptop crashed. I have the disk (intact). How do I find and move the inbox files (not local folders) of my three pop3 accounts to the new laptop?

Old laptop had Thunderbird. THe laptop stopped working, so I took the C drive (SATA disk) and and plugged that to a USB port.
New laptop has Thunderbird installed, local folders have been restored. The inbox contents are missing (I use the option "download from server", so the recent correspondence is there.
I have three POP3 accounts, so I am trying to identify the location of three separate "inbox" and "Sent" folders, and add them to the new installation.
Where are those files stored, and what would be the simple way to restore them on the new laptop?

So this seemed to result in the outcome I wanted:
    - Find the old Thunderbird profile location (.../AppData/Roaming ... THunderbird/Profiles/...default/Mail/first.account.domain/Inbox
    - FInd the same location on the New laptop
Copy the first (old, backup) inbox to a new file in the New profile folder; I did Inbox.bak
Start TBird - and lo and behold, I have folders "Inbox" (recent mail since the old laptop crash) and "Inbox.bak" (the mail I thought was lost).
Looks like I need to add all accounts to the New TBird first so that it creates the profiles, and after that copy the backup Inbox & Sent files to the new profile folders.
This worked for me. Not very elegant, with several manual steps, but end result is what I needed.
It would be great if there was a smoother way for disaster recovery.
And yes, I should have had better backup policy in place. For everyone's benefit - I do Data Center systems for a living, and have seen far too many "backup" services which do not actually work in a restore situation. That's why my personal backups are direct file copies on large disks. It works, but leaves room for manual error, which is what happened here.
Actual folders, btw, I keep where I see them - "c:\users\username\Thunderbird" - for this very reason.
