File | Preferences | General Option Missing

I upgraded from FrameMaker v7.1 to v8 a week ago. Today Adobe auto-installed v8p277. My OS is WinXP Prof with SP2. I just notice the Preferences option is no longer in the File menu. Is this a bug? If not, how do I set the preferences?

When combining files, Microsoft Office options missing

In Acrobat Standard 8, when we go to Combine Files > Add Files > "Microsoft Office Word" (and Excel and PowerPoint) is not on the list of "All supported formats". Microsoft Office 2010 is installed and Acrobat is up-to-date. Does anyone have a hint on how to get Word listed?
This is happening on one of my co-workers computer, but I also have Acrobat 8 and Office 2010 and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint ARE listed on my computer.

Thanks for the response GKaiseril. It got me thinking...
I had Office 2007 on my computer and recently upgraded to Office 2010, and that is probably why I still see "Microsoft Office" listed. My co-worker has a clean install of Office 2010, and that is why she doesn't see "Microsoft Office". At least I see some logic to it now.

For the update to run Aperture must be installed in the system Application folder and named simply Aperture, not Aperture3.2.2 or anything else.
I don't know if this would also affect photo stream but if your Aperture is misnamed or installed in an incorrect location fixing that to see if it clears up the problem would be a good first step.

Profile option missing from Settings General

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen. I just notice that "Profile" option under Settings > General is missing. How do I add this?

I had this problem too.I know it says the problem had been solved,but it didn't help me in any way with my problem.For the people who really look for this problem i have the answer.
THERE IS NO PROFILE.THE ENROLLMENT IS JUST A COOKIE!!!!!!!!!
The profile is deleted by it's self ,is just another way to add a cookie ,for the website or app to recognize your device.
So don't search for anything.If you want to delete it go to Safari>Clear Cookies.

Logic X: Missing menu items in Preferences/General

I am missing some menu items in Preferences/General: under the "Editing" Tab the right mouse menu is missing, and the entire "Cycle" tab is also not visible. Can anyone please help me to understand what the reason might be? Thanks!

Print Comments Option Missing in Adobe Reader 9.4.0

Using a PDF I downloaded online, I inserted comments using both Adobe Acrobat Pro and Nuance PDF Converter Pro.
In both the Acrobat and Nuance applications I can print the PDF with the comments just fine.
When I opened the document in Adobe Reader 9.4.0 it would not print the comments by default.
I hunted around the File > Print & Edit > Preferences dialog boxes but found no such option in Reader 9.4. It either does not exist, or I'm not looking in the proper place(s).
I opened the same document in Adobe Reader X and I did have the option to print the comments as outlined in the instructions here (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/897/cpsid_89733.html).
On that same page however it says a comment printing options should be on both the Edit > Preferences and File > Print dialog boxed in Reader 9 but it is not. The instructions above appear to be inaccurate.
I've tested this on multiple systems (same base OS & configuration) but the problem persists: How does one print comments in Adobe Reader 9.4.0? (Upgrading is not an option at this time.)

The repair didn't appear to do the trick. The Comments option under Edit > Preferences is still missing and even with the Document and Markup option still selected, it doesn't actually print comments.I took it a step further & removed it completely then re-installed it but that didn't help.
I am part of the IT organization . So you're suggesting (or saying) there's a certain Adobe Reader 9.4 update that introduces this feature? If so, do we know which specific update? Is there a KB article, release note or change log that that covers/discusses this?

Could you have logged into another account?
If you go to System Preferences>Users and Accounts what accounts are listed?
To show users at login go to the Login Options of chanck the box that says show list of users.
If they they are gone and you can't find them then restore them from a backup

HT203164 there is no tab labeled "burn" when I go tp "preferences/general" How am I suppossed to burn a CD???

To burn an album to CD or DVD
1. Export it to a folder on the desktop. File -> Export

3. Burn that with the Finder's Burn Command
Remember: if this is a backup then don't invest in optical media for this purpose. Soon the CD and DVD will be gone the way of the floppy disk and the zip drive.

General options not staying set

Attempted to modify these settings to solve another issue which is that FF 11.0 now updates itself every single time I open FF. It goes through the add-on check then displays the same "Welcome to FF" tab every single time I start FF.
So, in an attempt to solve this, I changed the general settings to "Show Home Page" and clicked OK, quit and restarted FF only to be presented with the same exact issue. Checking the general options revealed that it changed itself back to "show tabs from last time".
So, I have two problems. The incessant updating and displaying of the welcome tab has happened before, with other versions.

Thanks for the prompt reply. That is the first thing at which I looked. There was no problem there, the Mozilla page was not set. The next thing I tried was to reset all preferences, which did not work either. Curiously, when going to the User.js file through troubleshooting info, I saw that the file did not change after resetting it in safe mode. I then renamed it expecting FF to create a new one. That did not happen. My renamed file still exists and there is now no User.js file in my Profiles folder.

Targa option missing in Save As dialog

I'm looking for some help. I updated my PS yesterday. Today, I went to save an image as a targa file but that option is now missing. Anyone else have this problem and did anyone find a solution?

I figured it out. I didn't realize that I was in CMYK color space and you can't save a targa that way.
