File Reporter Proxy Account
When configuring the DSI proxy account I receive the following error:
Enter an admin name and password using dotted FDN or LDAP notation.
Admin name: cn=admin.o=services
Password:
Working...
Failed to reset proxy account. rc = '255'
Verify that the proxy account exists, and that the correct name and password of a valid admin was entered.
There is no mention made of any errors or problems in the documentation.
NDStrace on the eDir server does not see ANY (LDAP, NMAS, PKI) authentication event (Failed or succesful). All user names and passwords work fine with ndslogin, Novell Client, etc.
We also played around with ALL possible permutations of DN's for both the proxy account and the admin account.
My installation is NOT a NSM integrated installation.
My NFRProxy user has Entry rights to the Tree object, and netstat -plnt shows that nothing is currently listening to that port.

the DSI. You willhowever need to install the follwoing:
Engine on a Linux server
file - novell-filereporter-engine-32bit-1.0.0-56.x86_64.rpm
Agents on NetWare and/or Linux
NFRAdmin on a Windows workstation.
If this is a "standalone" installation without Novell Storage Manager
and you are getting the -255 error installing you need to check the
following:
1. Is there a NFRProxy user created and given "default" trustee rights
to the root of the TREE?
2. By default the DSI on Linux uses HTTPS port 3009 and you will need
to verify if you have something using that port by tunning netstat -plnt.

Outlook 2013 & Proxied accounts, FROM address not defaulting correctly

We are hosted by Microsoft for our email. We have been on Outlook 2010 for a couple of years without any issues. I have proxy access to two other mailboxes for support purposes. Up until last Thursday, when I replied to an email in the support mailbox, the
default FROM address was the address for that mailbox. Last Thursday, something changed somewhere so the default FROM address is now my personal mailbox. I do have access to send mail from the proxied accounts so it isn't a rights issue. I am able to change
the FROM address each time I reply but this is cumbersome. My personal email should never be going out on replies but remembering has been a chore since it always used to work correctly.
Our helpdesk had me install a plugin called unisend which did fix one related issue but didn't correct the issue I'm experiencing. I have talked with our senior network engineer and mail administrator and both confirm they did not make any changes. I did
upgrade my PC to Office 2013 in hopes that something became corrupted with my installation (that the upgrade would fix) but that did not correct the problem.

We have received many reports as your description since last week. It sounds like the sending behavior in Outlook 2010 has been changed by some Windows/Office update and goes back to the behavior before.
Before we go any further, I have to mention some of the history for Outlook 2010. In Outlook 2010 without SP1, Mailto’s will use the default/principal account for message when you use Microsoft Outlook 2010 which has multiple accounts delivered to different
data file. However, in later version (Outlook 2010 SP1/SP2), Outlook doesn’t use the default account set in Account settings for new messages. Instead, it uses the account associated with the mailbox or *.pst file you have in focus.
Actually, this behavior is controlled by the registry keys. At this point, I suggest we check the following registry entries are exist and set it to the proper value.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\XX.0\Outlook\Options\Mail
DWORD value: NewItemsUseDefaultSendingAccount
Value type: REG_DWORD: 1 for force, 0 to disable.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\XX.0\outlook\options
Value Name: ForceAccountSelection
Value type: REG_DWORD: 1 for force, 0 to disable.
Close the registry editor and restart Outlook to check if the behavior what you want would come back.

File to Proxy ABAP - Split message possible?
Hi experts,
I am facing a slight problem with my scenario, I designed flat file to proxy Abap, it works fine, the problem is that my flat file tend to be a bit too large in term of volume (about 15Mo) and I would like to divide the file in multiple messages.
I managed to do that by putting in the recordset structure : NAME, 500.
It divides the file content in several messages in XI, the problem is that each Proxy call processes a program that deletes and replaces a table. Hence, it only takes in account the last message.
Is there a way to deal with that? maybe to precise that all the messages sent are part of the same source.

JamalFrom your description, this program of yours is executed within a transactional context. Each execution of the program will be independent of each other.
If you need your messages to be executed within the same transaction, then you need to reunite the separate messages into a unique transaction again, meaning, you need to merge the messages back into one, or correlate them somehow.
Anyway, 15 MB is hard but not unfeasible. With proper sizing/tunning, you should be able to run it in a single execution.
But if split at XI is indeed necessary and you don't want to merge again in XI (wouldn't make much sense, would it?), you need to develop something on the receiver side (Z ABAP) to hold the entries and only when the file is finished, call the initial program.

This is the problem relleated to the HTTP connections, since using the proxy theXML travels to the destination, on your receiveing system make sure HTTP service are active.
in R/3 run this report :SPROX_CHECK_HTTP_COMMUNICATION you will get the error then proceed with the below steps to fix it.
YOur HTTP seriveces on the R/3 have some problem.....
Goto SMICM>goto>servicess you should see the HTTP service running with the ABAP port entry, if this is up then check
SICF--->press f2 you should not have any proxy check there.....

Trying to drag pdf files i have and combine them into one pdf file in the account i just purchased with Adobe. when i drag a pdf file over Adobe doesn't accept it. says it can not convert this type of file. but it is an Adobe file. Do I need to change it in some other form befor dragging it?

Manage multiple versions(ID CS,CS2,CS3,CS4) of INDD files Indesign proxy for PC
Dear scripters,
I have multiple version of ID installed in my system. I have ID CS,CS2,CS3 and CS4. While I am opening (double click) the ID CS file, automatically the file opening in CS4. For solving this problem I have searched in the forums I found there is a program called INDESIGN PROXY for MAC OSX. It manages the problems well.
Now I am in the process of developing the application same like that for windows using VB. Here is my observation about Indesign proxy.
1. While user double clicks the Indesign file the argument is not passing to the Indesign.exe, but the argument passes to the Indesign proxy. Something like this
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS4\InDesign.exe" "%1"
to this
"C:\Program Files\IDproxy\proxy.exe" "%1"
2. The proxy exe lists all the version of IDs in a dialog box. If user selects CS2, the proxy exe passes the command argument something like this
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CS2\InDesign.exe" "%1"
3. Now the file will open in correct version.
I am comfort with VB forums and coding but I am struck getting the file path while user double click's the file. I short need to get the file path of "%1" argument.
I think I am detailed.
Kindly advice me how can I proceed more?

Wait -- do you mean there might be a difference between "the OM for InDesign 4.0 (i.e., InDesign CS2) that is contained in InDesign CS4" and, say, "OM for InDesign 4.0 (i.e., InDesign CS2) that is contained in InDesign CS5" ?
Why on earth would anyone need that? I imagine it's not because even with versioning the 'older' scripts may not behave the same -- there must be dozens of mails about versioning not working ... I mean, if Adobe knows what causes older scripts to stop working (because, if I understand you correctly, they retroactively change it in the documentation for older versions), wouldn't it be yet easier to not cause those changes? -
How to use a file transport proxy service as trigger for a webservice

I've implemented a alsb file transport proxy service. This proxy is watching a common directory and detects new files. After detection, the proxy move them in an archive folder.
After that I want call an external webservice with the filename as input parameter.
How can I comfigure that with the alsb console.

Also what is the format of the URL that points to the file folder.

I know there are various posts already out there on remedies for recovering your data stored on a FileVault account when you receive the following message at the login screen; *"You are unable to log in to the File Vault user account "myaccount " at this time"*, but this genuinely worked for me despite AppleCare providing absolutely no assistance whatsoever. In fact, if I had followed their advise I'd be inconsolable right now having wiped my MacBook Pro and contemplating the prospect of rewriting my two essays due in 3 days time!
I, in a moment of shear stupidity, decided to move the sparsebundle file in my one and only account to trash. Thinking nothing of my foolish actions I shut down for the evening without a care in the world. The next day I started up my computer as usual, and as usual I was prompted at the login screen for my password. I entered the correct password, but was alarmed to see the message above flash before my eyes. Without boring you all with what I did over the weekend waiting for AppleCare to open again on Monday morning. Anyway, this post is specifically for people who have put the sparsebundle of their FileVault-enabled account in the trash (NOT anything else!) without emptying it, of course! The other prerequisite is that you must REMEMBER YOUR FILEVAULT ACCOUNT PASSWORD!
1. Firstly, you must insert *Disc 1 of the Mac OS X Install* discs.
2. Restart your computer holding down the letter S (make sure you are holding this down BEFORE the start up noise sounds)
3. Select the appropriate language and continue to the next screen (DO NOT go past the next screen, the WELCOME screen)
4. At the grey bar at the top, under Utilities, select *Reset Password*
5. Select the Administrator/Root account and proceed to change the password of this account to test
6. Confirm the password by reentering it and click Save
7. Restart your computer and at the login screen you should now be able to select an account named Other
8. The username for this account is root and the password is test (the password you entered earlier)
9. Using Finder, locate the Terminal utility, which can be found in *Applications --> Utilities*
10. Enter the following, ignoring the bold of course (pay attention to lower cases AND spaces!): *defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE*
11. Hit Enter
12. On the next line, enter: *killall Finder*
13. Hit Enter again
14. Type: exit on the next line and close Terminal
15. This has enabled the hidden files on your computer to be visible
16. You then need to locate the sparsebundle file in the trash of your usual account folder (it could be 501, so search for that too) whilst logged in to the administrator account
17. Once you have found it, click *Go to Folder* under Go in the grey bar and type /Users/
18. Create a *new folder* at this location with a new username
19. Move the sparsebundle from its present location to the folder you have just created
20. Click Get Info on the new folder, and at the very bottom click *Apply to enclosed items*
21. In *System Preferences --> Accounts*, create a new user with EXACTLY the same name as the folder you created (eg. Folder name = burtreynolds, new user = burtreynolds)
22. A window should appear if you have done the above correctly stating *A folder in Users folder already has same name, would you like to use it?*

23. Click *Show All* at the top of the Accounts window
24. Restart your system and log in to the new account you have created
25. The sparsebundle should now be visible

I am having a hard time with my fcp x running so slow. i can't even move my mouse without the time wheel coming on and staying up for at least 20 some seconds. I have upgraded my ram to 12 and changed all my files to proxy files; also i cleaned the crap out of my computer removing all other media files I didn't need and it is still running the same. Please help! I have a deadline on my short film to be submitted and I can't finish it like this. Oh also it ran fine in the beginning but and one day it just started doing this out of no where. Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
