File Sendlink doesn't work and I don't have "mailto" in the options applications tab

I've already searched and read all of the similar problems but the crux of the matter is how do you add an application to the options menu that should be there but is not. I reinstalled/upgraded Firefox but that didn't help. I removed the mimeTypes.rfd file but that didn't help. I made sure that Thunderbird was my mail client in the Win XP Control Panel.
I cannot follow the directions in Mozilla Help because they assume that mailto is under Tools>Options>Applications and it is not.

I've sorted it
All I needed to do was add my old e-mail address - not as the primary but as an alias. This allowed me to delete the account on my iPhone 4S and re-sign in with the correct e-mail address.

I think I am following -- I was able to upload to my iPhoto and all photos and videos are there that is a plus! I tried to create an Event in my iPhoto and put all of my photos in that event but for some reason, now my iTunes it not recognizing that Event in my iPhoto. It is not allowing me to import just that event at the moment but I may be doing something wrong. At least all of my pics and vids are in iPhoto so that is a plus and I know they are at least saved somewhere. Just for some reason, my iTunes it not locating the event that I created with only those photos.

Also, I had no clue that my iCloud could be backed up via cellular data! However, is this a new feature with the most updated iOS?? Unforutnatly I am like 2 iOS updates behind because I don't have enough storage on my phone. I still get the notification that my phone needs to be plugged in and connected to wifi in order to back up to the cloud :-(

How can I follow slurl's which are web short cuts into secondlife virtual world environment keeps telling me no association present and not available to be associated in the options/applications list

Secondlife.com has a system to access their world straight into their virtual world environment called "slurls" which can be used on any webpage. It appears that in IE this system works correctly, but not in Firefox.

You have to add a <servlet> element to this file.
Something like this:

Won't start as it says it already is .. even though I've done a 'cold restart'.. answer to look for xpicleanup.dat doesn't work as I don't have that file on my system

quite frustrating...when I first got messasge that firefox couldn't start I 'restarted' my system.. still got same message that another copy was running and I had to restart (or stop other copy).
Still go message. then tried cold start...i.e. shut down and then start...
then found msage about looking for and deleting xpicleanup.dat... could not find it on path suggested so I did 'search' for the file.. it's not on my computer and firefox won't start...should I just earse it and download firefox again

Do a clean (re)install:
* Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Don't remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Why am I being told that a JPEG file that I made changes to in Photoshop 6 (CS6) can't be saved? The message I get says that either the file is locked and I don't have permission to execute this or another program is using this file.

i recently purchased a 21.5 iMac with Yosemite (10.10.1) and was disappointed to discover that my CS6 programs are not functioning correctly. I am unable to use the "Save As" command when making changes to a JPEG file in Photoshop. The message I get says that either another program is using the file or it is locked and I don't have permission to execute that command. I'm experiencing a similar problem in Bridge when trying to move an unwanted file to the Trash. Again, I get a message telling me that i don't have permission to do this. Lastly, I'm unable to open any Camera Raw files. Any suggestions? I had no problems with the Mavericks OS on my old iMac and although it's much slower, I'm tempted to go back to using my old iMac. At this point, I feel as if I've just wasted $2300+ (tax included).

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary.
