File size limit for webdav upload

Dear Experts,
we set up what we thought to be a restriction of the file size allowed for upload. We did this in the portal via
System administration --> system configuration --> Knowledge Management --> Protocols --> WebDav --> Max WebDAV request size: 15728640 bytes.
We would have expected that to not allow us uploading any files larger than 15 MB. Turns out we were wrong and it does not work. Here is a http-trace of an upload of a 21 MB file.
Note the content length in the outbound message is 21832627.

Would anyone know any other way of preventing the upload of large files via a webDAV client?
Thank you very much.
Regards
Michael

Hi Michael,
This cannot be possible in portal but you can upload the max size file through portal drive or webdev . Through portal drive you can upload 50mb or any format file size you can upload through portal but portal you cannot upload you can get the message of file uploading failure or connectivity issues like these messgae appears at every interval so go through the portal drive or webdev.
But best option for uploading huge file size is Portal drive. This will helpful for you.

  • Files size limit for vimeo upload

    Hi,
There is a warning sign that says ''publishing movies bigger than 5 GB may fail''. Why is that ? I have a vimeo pro account (I can dowload up to 20 GB per week. Does vimeo have file size limits for uploads ?

hello, I did some research on this question and found this:
"Vimeo does not have a maximum file size for uploads, however, there is a maximum of 500MB of uploading per week, making the maximum file size effectively 500MB. That's with a free account; if you pay to join Vimeo Plus the maximum weekly upload limit raises to 5GB"
So, maybe you can try to convert your video to another format in small file size? Or maybe you can trim video to make it smaller.  If you want to try these suggested methods, this software can help you out: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/video-mate/id592736614?ls=1&mt=12

How can I increase the file size limit for outgoing mail. I need to send a file that is 50MB?

You can't change it, and I suspect few email providers would allow a file that big.  Consider uploading it to a service like Dropbox, then email the link allowing the recipient to download it.

  • Is there a file size limit for images in keynote on a mac?

Is there a file size limit for images in keynote on a mac?

If you right click on the file (navigate to it using finder, or if it is in iCloud you should open keynote, File -> Open and you should see a list of your iCloud keynotes) then press command+i, you'll pull up the info tag which will tell you the file size.
Keynote also has an option to Reduce File Size  (File -> Reduce Files Size) but I do not recommend it at all because it will severely degrade the quality of your pictures.
It's also possible to reduce an individual image's memory size in your keynote by right clicking it and selecting Reduce Image File Size).  This is more time-consuming but allows you to see if the degraded photo quality is still good enough, and you can always undo it.

  • File size limit for file transfers?

I have 560 Content Engines running ACNS 5.3.1. A user tries to download a 2.73 GB .img file from Microsoft through IE. Everything seems fine except the resultant file is only 2,097,153 KB. If we bypass the content engines, we get the full file. We know there is no file size limit on the PC. Can anyone explain and help?

  • Is there a file size limit for App Store downloads over wifi?

I just gifted my friend a navigation app that is 1.4 Gb in size. Unbeknown to me, her iPhone is not tethered to a computer and therefore she only downloads apps directly to the phone via wifi. Is it possible to download a file of this size directly to the phone? So far the app has said "Loading..." for 3 hrs with no movement in the status bar. If there is a limit I would have expected the phone to disallow the process from even beginning.
Any thoughts on how to get this app downloaded would be greatly appreciated.

  • File size limit for using Filter Gallery

I created a large single layer file with dimensions of approximately 300cm x 200cm at 300dpi; the file size was about 2.5Gb. I wanted to use Filter Gallery but it was greyed out, even although it was only an 8-bit file. So, I reduced the file size to approximately 200cm x 135cm at 300dpi; the file size was about 1.5Gb. I could then use Filter Gallery.
My question is this: was the limit in the first place due to a maximum file size that Filter Gallery can handle (hope not) or, was the limit related to the avaialable memory on my computer (3gb RAM, NVidea card with 250Mb Graphics memory, 195Gb free on HD)  ??
Couldn't find an answer to this in the wiki-faq-knowledge-base-forum and chat support didn't know ... will contact them again soon and update this discussion if I get a viable response.
    Thank you, Trimmer

Filter Gallery does not work at all over 30000 pixels in either dimension.
Many of the filters have size limits well below that, due to the math or algorithms involved.
I should also point out that the pixel size limits are completely unrelated to file size.
And you really need more RAM if you are going to edit images like that.

  • Video file size limit for Flash 8?

Is there a one? Having trouble with a 2.5 Gig Quicktime DV.

What are you trying to do with it? I can't imagine trying to

    I've loaded 10+ Gig .mov files into the Flash 8 On2 VP6

  • Is There a File Size Limit for Videos from DVDs?

I copied King Arthur using HandBrake Lite so I could put it on my iPod, but HandBrake Lite, no matter what I try, refuses to copy past 1:20:59 (or 1 hour, 20 minutes and 59 seconds). The version of King Arthur that I'm trying to copy is, however (according to IMDb), 2:01 (2 hours and 1 minute), or as HandBrake Lite contends is 2:05 (2 hours and 5 minutes). These runtimes make a difference, but I'm going to go with what HandBrake Lite says the runtime is.
As a comparison, I'm also running the copy through HandBrake (which, incidentally, is at least consistent with HandBrake Lite's runtime, which makes my comparison easier). My main reason for running the copy through HandBrake and HandBrake Lite was to see whether the copy would copy past what HandBrake Lite obviously doesn't want to do.
Before I receive the data from HandBrake, answer me the question that is in the subject. If the answer is no, then why does HandBrake stubbornly refuse to copy past 1:20:59?

try a differant converter, search iPod converters on download.com
    hope this helps

  • TFS Preview source control file size limit

Is there a file size limit for adding large files to a TFS Preview project's source control..?   I would like to add some files to source control that are in the 20-30Mb range and the requests keep aborting.

    Hi Erich,
    Thank you for your post.
I test the issue by adding .zip file to TFS Azure version comtrol, the size include 10MB, 20MB, 100MB, 2GB, i can add they to version control properly without any problem.
In order narrow down the issue, here are some situations i want to clarify from you:
    1. What's the error message when TFS azure block the check-in process? Could you share a screen shot?
    2. Which client tool are you using? VS10 or VS11? Or other tools?
    3. Try to reproduce this in different network environment and see what will happen.
    4. Capture a fiddler trace which can help to check the issue.
    Thanks,

  • Anybody know how to increase the plugin file size limit in Photoshop CS6 to greater than 250 mb?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to increase the plugin file size limit in Photoshop CS6 to greater than 250 mb and how to do it? Can plugins running in PSCC handle larger file sizes than CS6?

Wow, thanks for getting back to me!!
I am running the latest version of HDR Soft Photomatix Tone Mapping Plug-In - Version 2.2 in Photoshop CS6 on a fully loaded solid state MacBook Air. When I attempt to process files exceeding 250 mb with the plugin I get an error message and the plugin will not work. The plugin works fine with anything south of 250 mb. I have also optimized the performance settings in CS6 for large file sizes.
The standalone version of HRD Soft’s Photomatix Pro easily processes files well in excess of 300 mb.
I have contacted Photomatix support and they say that 250megs is simply the max file size that Photoshop will allow to run a plugin with.
So is there any setting that I’m overlooking in Photoshop CS6 that will allow me to process these large files with the plugin? Or if there is indeed a file size limit for plugin processing in CS6 is the limit higher in CC?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Video file size limit in iPhoto??

I recently used my entire 2 gig memory stick in video mode on my Sony H1 digital camera. Upon connecting the camera to my iMac, iPhoto did launch, but after repeated trys, there was no 25 minute video in my iPhoto gallery. This has always worked before, although always with shorter clips. I am wondering if iPhoto has a file size limit for video clips?
    iMac G5 20 1.8 GHz - 512MB Ram   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

    Hi Forest,
When iPhoto 5 first came out I really think it was programmed to import the smaller 30 sec video clips that cameras were taking at the time. Since then, digital cameras, at least my Canon S2 can take clips as large as your memory card can hold. The first time I tried to download my images and movie clips with my new camera, iPhoto stalled at the movie clips. I wasn't going to take any chances messing up my iPhoto Library so I started using Image Capture to download all my images and Movie clips. I actually like doing it this way a lot better. My movie clips are downloaded into my Movies folder where I then put them in a dated folder.
My photos are downloaded into my Pictures folder, where I then put them in a dated folder. I import the dated folder into iPhoto. I also keep all dated folders from photo downloads in the Pictures folder till I get enough Movie folders and Photo folders to fill a DVD. I burn them and then delete them from the hard drive.
This way I have the photos in iPhoto and I also have just the photos backed up to DVD.
The Movies I keep on the hard drive in their dated folders until I use all the clips for my iMovie projects for the Year. I then make sure they are all burned to DVD, then I delete those from my hard drive.
Using Image Capture to download images and video clips:
Open up Image Capture which is found in the Applications folder.
When it is opened, go to Image Capture/Preferences
    Under the General button choose
Camera: When a camera is connected, open Image Capture.
The next time you connect your camera Image Capture will open.
In the window that opens you will see an Options button. Click on that button to set your options.
To find out more about Image Capture (it can do a lot more) Click on Help in the menu bar when Image Capture is open.
iPhoto: How to Change the "Open Automatically" Preference
If you find you can't change any of Image Captures preferences or can't access any drop down menus or they are greyed out, check to make sure Image Capture is loose in the Applications folder and not within a sub folder.

  • Is there a size limit for uploading files?

is there a size limit for uploading files?

    You have max 20GB storage.
Upload anything you want up to that limit - be it one file or many.
The only limit after that is the speed of your internet connection since extremely large files can take hours to upload.
