File sync when switching sites in Dreamweaver CC

Hi;
I work with multiple sites and often switch back and forth throughout the workday.
The problem is that one of my sites has 1000's of files, so when I switch to it, Dreamweaver becomes unavailable for several minutes while it checks files. There is a "stop" button, but it never works.
Is there a way to turn that off or set it to only check files as I access them? I only edit these files in Dreamweaver so I'm not worried about losing changes.

Dreamweaver Disconnect When Changing Sites in Dreamweaver

I have an unusual problem that I cannot explain. I am using windows 7 64bit (previously when this problem started, I was using Vista 64 bit)
Whenever I switch sites in Dreamweaver CS5 v 11.0 Build 4964, I get disconnected from my remote server. I have to wait a while before it gets reconnected, usually about 10 minutes, after I switch back to another site.
I have been using DW since V 2.0 and I love it still. This is a problem that causes a work stoppage for me and I need to know if anyone else has the same problem and if there is a fix for this?
Listed below are some of the things that I have tried to fix this problem.
Changed my account information on the remote server.
Changed my username on the remote server.
Wiped my account clean and set up a totally new account on the remote server.
Reinstalled DW after uninstalling completely.
Does anyone know what can cause this?

When you have problems with Safari bookmarks syncing with iCloud, do a reset.
On your Mac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect the box next to Safari then reselect it.
On iOS devices, tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Safari off then back on.
Give iCloud a few minutes re sync the data.

In Flash. There is no way to apply an HTML link to a swf
file.

Do running processes (copy files) continue when switching user?

I am moving my iTunes media library from an internal hard drive onto. An external HD. This will likely run for a few hours. If other users want to use the computer will the copy process temporarily suspend or be stopped if the fast switch user feature is invoked?

Sorry for the delay. But the problem remains. You ask what I did to create the problem. It was confusing, but I'll try to reconstruct: I wanted to change the account name. iTunes identified the computer as mine but I didn't want my daughter to access my account (and credit card :-O). So I chose preferences - account - unlocked the account – renamed the administrator. Then I could open cards in the adress book, but when I did adress book was emty and all files, photos, music was gone. And I couldn't get access to them again, not even using what's written above.
Can you help me?
I have been told that I need to be a rootadministrator to get access to everything on the computer. Do you know how?

File Sync Will Not Resume

I puased file syncing when I lost some data a few weeks back (thank you to the Adobe Staff who assisted me with this issue and worked to rectify the problem and recover my data). However now, after updating my Creative Cloud application, I cannot resume file syncing. When I attempt to resume file sync, the application acts like it is syncing but then pauses again. I have also attempted to resume sync while the Creative Cloud application is running as Administrator on Windows 7.

Still did not fix it.

when i look at oem dbconsole, i see that waits on log file sync has %98 bad impact on my database. dbconsole says that :
finding : Waits on event "log file sync" while performing COMMIT and ROLLBACK operations were consuming significant database time.
Action : Investigate the possibility of improving the performance of I/O to the online redo log files

what can be done for this error? This is not an error,its a wait events.
when user perform commit/rollback then information in logbuffer will be flush to redo logfile by lgwr process.and user session will wait until all this activity process has to complete after commit.
try following actions
log file sync
When a user session commits (or rolls back), the session's redo information must be flushed to the redo logfile by LGWR. The server process performing the COMMIT or ROLLBACK waits under this event for the write to the redo log to complete.
Actions
If this event's waits constitute a significant wait on the system or a significant amount of time waited by a user experiencing response time issues or on a system, then examine the average time waited.
If the average time waited is low, but the number of waits are high, then the application might be committing after every INSERT, rather than batching COMMITs. Applications can reduce the wait by committing after 50 rows, rather than every row.
If the average time waited is high, then examine the session waits for the log writer and see what it is spending most of its time doing and waiting for. If the waits are because of slow I/O, then try the following:
[b] * Reduce other I/O activity on the disks containing the redo logs, or use dedicated disks.
* Alternate redo logs on different disks to minimize the effect of the archiver on the log writer.
* Move the redo logs to faster disks or a faster I/O subsystem (for example, switch from RAID 5 to RAID 1).
* Consider using raw devices (or simulated raw devices provided by disk vendors) to speed up the writes.
* Depending on the type of application, it might be possible to batch COMMITs by committing every N rows, rather than every row, so that fewer log file syncs are needed.

File sync will not activate

Just updated to the most recent version of Creative Cloud. When I go into preferences and activate File Sync, when I close the box, File Sync is grayed out and is not turned on.

Still did not fix it.

Bridge ratings lost when switching to filter tab

I lose my ratings when I switch to the filter pane of bridge, This has happened after running all of the most current updates including reinstalling software. Editing twice on several thousand images is no fun. The ratings, stars, show up in the file but when switching to the sort by filter tab they vanish about every other edit. ???? Thanks

errors occurs. I had not used Dreamweaver for about 2 weeks, and
last time I used it with no problems.
I have tried uninstalling it, OKing removal of all files when
asked, re-installing it and updating with dwmx61_updater.exe, but I
still get the same errors.
This has rendered the software virtually unuseable, so any
help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm working to a
rapidly-approaching deadline.

You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?

Putting files when multiple sites are open

I often have pages from several different sites open at the same time. If I mistakenly tried to upload a file from Site A while Site B was active, CS4 would give me a warning and prompt me to select the proper site first. However, my new CS6 doesn't seem to do this. Is there a setting I've missed somewhere? It was a very helpful feature.

I've just tested it in the Windows version of Dreamweaver CS6.
If you select the File Management icon from the Document toolbar and click Put, the Files panel automatically switches to the relevant site and puts the file. I suppose this could be a problem if you have similar files or different sites for live and staging servers.
As far as I know, there is no option to get Dreamweaver to prompt you if you're in the wrong site. If that's a problem for you, I suggest you file a bug report/feature request through the form at http://adobe.ly/DWBug.

Dreamweaver CS3 crashing when importing site settings

Hi,
I've installed a copy of Dreamweaver CS3 on a new Vista 64-bit machine. I've tried to import .ste files pertaining to some sites which I copied over from my old computer (where things were slow but working). When I import the .ste files, it brings in the settings, but as soon as I click on "done", Dreamweaver crashes. I've tried this on a couple of sites now, and still the same crash at the same point.
How do I get this working?

When I try to same an image under the command 'save as' it will only let me save as file types 'firefox document' or 'all files' and when I try to look at them later they dont work. How can I save an image as the same file type it is on the web site?!

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

Problem with music in swf file when loading site to server

I am a newbie to Flash and have an swf file I created for a
website,
http://www.kanzamancleveland.com.
I have a button there that turns the music on/off when the site
loads. I also put some music into the swf file, but instead of
putting it directly in the swf file, I am calling it from the
actionscript code in the swf file. I want it to stream when the
site loads and start loading/playing after the site loads. The code
is embedded in the on/off button. Now this code works when the swf
file is on my local hard-drive, but when I put it on the server
with the rest of the website, it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I put the code together going from various Flash help
websites, and it works when everything is on my local hd, but again
as I mentioned before, when I put it up on the server, the music
doesn't play. I contacted the hosting company and they said that
they do allow streaming music on a website using Flash. Any help on
what I am doing wrong, or what else I need to do would be highly
appreciated. Thank you.

Hi. It looks like your code is not finding the mp3. At least,
I can reproduce your error code by removing the mp3 from the
directory, or renaming it.
Btw, if you test with FF instead of IE, you'd see the error:

Ok. So Photos1.htm is the main gallery page.
And it looks like you have sub-folders with images in them like these from 2011 and 2010
