File to file BPM

hello experts
I try to make a simple file to file scenario, using BPM. in the BPM I have a reciever and sender (with out transformation or anything else). I see it in the SXMB enter to the BPM, but no file is coming out.
is it possible to make a simple file to file scenario?
any suggestions?
(I can make the scenario with out BPM/ the reason I am doing it with BPM is to check something).
help is required
Kfir

hi,
>>>is it possible to make a simple file to file scenario?
yes
>>>I see it in the SXMB enter to the BPM, but no file is coming out.
did you make the config in ID using the wizard twice?
one from file to BPM
and one BPM to file ?
if not do it
you can also click on PE and see on which step did the BPM stop

  • File-RFC-File (without BPM)- Issue

    Hi All,
I am working on a File-RFC-File (without BPM) scenario in PI 7.1.
My scenario is having few problems like, its not able to delete the file from the source directory path (for which we have delete permissions) and it is an NFS system and it shows an error in the Sender file CC.
"Error: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPAObjectKeyException: Value of key must not be null: ObjectId"
But it gets processed successfully and provides a written paramter which I could see in MONI, but again doesn't write the file in the target directory. Could you please provide your inputs and let me know if I need to do any additional settings w.r.to PI7.1.
These are the parameters which I have specified in the Sender File adapter

Hi. Iu2019m trying to do 1:n multi-mapping using bpm scenario. I use file to file. Input file consists of many records and then I want many record to be transformed into many file at target system. I follow step in http://www.riyaz.net/blog/xipi-1n-multi-mapping-using-bpm/. However, I have a problem when file is retrieved in to XI. It doesnu2019t create any output file.
When I look at SXMB_MONI, it shows u201CNo object type found for the message Check that the corresponding process is activated.u201D Besides, it shows error message "Unable to perform action for selected message" when i clikc at PE in SXMB_MONI.
I have check at many previous posts with the same error message but still couldnu2019t solve it. I already activate my BPM and check that status in SXI_CACHE = 0. There is noting left in change list of my IR and ID.
Here is my design and configuration.

    Hi,
    Yes, thats the problem.
You are creating file from test tab of  1..N mapping .
In case of 1..N mappping in mapping Extra tags of messages are addded to the data.As shown here:-
    Messages
          Message1
               MessageType
When you use this mapping to generate xml message then it will add additional tags for <Messages> and <Message1>, which is not correct. it should only have structure of you MT.
So remove start and end tag of <Messages> and <Message1> from your data file. Mentioned below in bold.
    <xml......>
    <Messages>
    <Message1>
    <MT_...>
    </MT_...>
    </Message1>
    </Messages>
    This should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Sami.

    Poll Interval: 30 sec
    Mode: Delete
    File type: Binay
Please let me know if I missed anything while passing the values.

  • Setting directory dynamically in File adapter in BPM 11g

    Hi,
I am using file adapter in BPM 11g for writing perpose. While configuring, it is required to provide the directory location, which can be either physical path or logical. The location where the new file will be stored/saved is written in a text file. I want to fetch the location from that text file and want to store the new file in that particular location at run time. Please help !!!!

    Hi,
You can dynamically set -among others- the outbound directory and outbound file name for a File Adapter. See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_file.htm#CIACICFD. If you need to retrieve the information beforehand from another file, you could use a synchronous read. See: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/integration.1111/e10231/adptr_file.htm#BABDCEBE.

  • File to File using BPM & value mapping

    Hi,
I have the following scenario to do. sample file structure is given below.
    source:
    HDR   13052008INDIA
    BDY   123456
    BDY   1234567
    EOF
    Target:
    HDR 2IN  BDY 123456 EOF
    HDR 2IN  BDY 1234567 EOF
for the above mentioned source and target mapping. we have to use BPM and value mapping.
In the HDR row 13052008 is the date value this has to be passed to RFC function module and it will return 2, this value has to be mapped to target
And INDIA has to be mapped to IN using the value mapping option. similarly we have many coutry code.
could anyone let me know the step by step procedure to achieve this, I followed the blog https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/1926. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] but it does not fit to my scenario.
    help is appreciated.
    Regards
    RDS

    Hey,
This is a normal file to file scenario.
You need to use RFC look up instead of value mapping.(as you need to extract 2 and IN from an RFC)
There is no need for a BPM.
refer to this blog(for RFC look up)
    /people/sravya.talanki2/blog/2005/12/21/use-this-crazy-piece-for-any-rfc-mapping-lookups
    this will solve your problem.
Output of RFC look up will be 2 and IN . So use the concat function.
Other values map them directly from source to target.
Also, set the occurence for the target structure as 0 to unbounded in the mapping.(this is to be done in order to have one file for each record of the source)
You also need to configure file content conversion.(both at sender and reciever side) to convert the text file to XML on the sender side and then XML to text at the reciever side.
refer to this link for FCC.
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2004/12/15/how-to-send-a-flat-file-with-fixed-lengths-to-xi-30-using-a-central-file-adapter
This is for sender file content conversion.

  • Help: : Error in BPM (FILE to FILE)

    Hi All,
I am trying out a file to file scenario using BPM and i'm following the blog "/people/krishna.moorthyp/blog/2005/06/09/walkthrough-with-bpm
But after the file gets picked up, the process fails in the call adapter step.
I see the mapping is done properly.
    How to solve the issue?
And In SXMB_MONI I see the following steps are processed successfully.
Inbound msg -> receiver grouping -> Response.
and the process fails at "Call adapter" (No specific error as such, but the flag for Call Adapter is displayed as "Arrow Mark (->)" i.e Transfer to process engine.
Please find the call adapter's trace below.

    Hi
I have worked on the same weblog. But its workin properly for me.I think your problem is in receiver determination.
You hav to create two receiver determination and 1 sender agreement and receiver agreement each. Please check it out.

  • Soap to File Scenario with BPM

    Hi Guys
I have create my Soap to File Scenario using BPM to split the file on "Transformation step" into 7 files and it must save these files to my FTP Server, when testing on sxmb_moni I don't get any errors but when checking on the FTP server no files are created, and I understand that it should be showing all seven processing on the sxmb_moni, but that is not happening.
I have used the ForEach mode on my Block.
What could I be doing wrong.
    Thanks!!

go to runtime work bench to see communication channel, especailly the receiver channel.

  • Error in File-RFC-File Without BPM

    Hi,
    We are following this wiki
    [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/xi/file-rfc-file(Without+BPM)]
and we are getting Error: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Received HTTP response code 500 : Internal Server Error in sender communication channel monitoring. File is not picking. I think problem with the parameters that we have mentioned in module tab in sender communication channel as specified in the wiki. If we remove additional 2  parameters it is picking the file.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks.

  • Need inputs for FILE-Webservice-File using BPM scenario

    Hello All,
can any one tell me how to do the file-webservice(soap adapter)-file with out BPM.
If we cant do with out BPM then, please let me know after importing the WSDL file, how many Message interfaces i need to create what are they.
    Thanks and Regards,
    chinna

    Hi Chinna,
Check this links for the receiver side SOAP configuration

    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/03/28/rfc--xi--webservice--a-complete-walkthrough-part-2
Sender side File adapter configuration is as usual
    > please let me know after importing the WSDL file, how many Message interfaces i need to create what are they.
It is a synchronous scenario so you need to create the two message interfacess for the sender (one is for request message and another is for response message). For receiver you don't need to create any message interfaces, because the WSDL internally having the two messages (request and response).

  • Java.lang.NullPointer Exception in File-RFC-File wtihout BPM scenario

    Hi All,
I have implemented scenario File - RFC - File without BPM in PI7.1 according to below link by bhavesh
    [File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.;
but I am getting error java.lang.NullPointer Exception  in Audit log of sender communication channel when it enters in ResponseOnewayBean.
I had implemented the same in PI 7.0 but there it was working fine.
Is there any limitations on the use of the above beans in PI7.1 as I could see two more threads on the same unanswered yet.
Please help me in resolving as it is priority task for me
    Thanks,
    Amit

Sometime back I saved this SAP Note 1261159 for this error. Not sure if it is still valid. Try to get it implemented.

  • Interface mappin in File to File using BPM

    Hey guys
why is it that in a asynchronous File to File scenario using BPM,we make interface mapping between outbound message interface and the abstract message interface whereas in general its between outbound and inbound message interface.also why we dont have any interface mapping between Abstract interface and inbound interface.
    thanx
    ahmad

    Ashish,
    From the link,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/d92e428819da2ce10000000a1550b0/content.htm
<i>Every step of an integration process uses Integration Server resources.
&#9679;      Every message that is sent to the Process Engine is duplicated.
&#9679;      Every message that is sent from the Process Engine is duplicated.
&#9679;      A work item is created for the process itself and for every step the process contains.
This means that for a process that just receives one message that is sent without being processed further, four messages and three work items are created.
For this reason, you must ensure that you take Integration Server resources into account when you define integration processes. </i>
So, by having the transformation outside the BPM , you are avoiding one message to be stored inside your BPM and therby the replication. The message that hits the BPM is the transformed message directly which avoid consumption of resources.
So, as much as possible keep mappings outside the BPM.

    Bhavesh

  • File-webservice-file , error in BPM workflow

    Hi GURUs,
I am working on file-webservice-file scenario. I have followed the blog /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit . In my BPM workflow I am getting error right at the receive step it self and not proceeding to next step. Error in workflow log saying, no proper message id for the outbound abstract interface. Main thing here is we dont have any value passing fields in our outbound request message type as well as in the request in the wsdl. In these two emssagess we have only on element hich is not of any type. Is this the reason for the error I am getting.
    any help ill be appreciated,
    Regards,
    Reyaz

Means, in the outbond request message type and the request message type in the WSDL .  in these messages we dont have a single field which can carry some value. We have an element which is not of any type like string , number etc..
