File to IDOC Multipe Records

Hi everyone,
I was doing File to IDOC Scenario and trying to post Multipe Records to the R/3 System.
I tried sending Cremas03 details both as an XML file and also as a TXT file Using File Content Conversion from XI and i could not succeed  in posting the file.
So Is it possible to post the file like this, please find a solution for this.

  • How to handle the control records in case of file to idoc scenario.

    Hi All,
can you please clarify me how to handle the control records in case of file to idoc scenario.

    Hi,
In File to Idoc scenario even though you selected apply control record values from payload and you are not getting those correct values which you have provided in the mapping.
Also check the checkboxes Take sender from payload and Take receiver from payload along with the Apply control record values from payload checkbox

  • Mapping of Control records in file to idoc scenario

    Hi,
In the mapping part of file to idoc scenario is it necessary to provide the exact control record details
or will it pick what ever is mentioned ? Can any one please explain regarding the same?
    Many Thanks,
    Sharath

    hi,
in case of apply control records from payload
It is indeed very simple to do it and the feature is available from SP10. I have seen lot of posts on the forum for the same and that is the reason for this blog. We can manipulate the control record in the mapping editor and map the EDI_DC40 segment of Idoc as required. Most of the times we need to map only SNDPRN, RCVPRN, SNDPRT, RCVPRT for posting Idocs with appropriate partner profiles in SAP R/3 destination systems. We can disable the rest of the fields as shown below. We need to manually change the control record of idoc for populating partner profiles in the control records while dealing with non-sap sender system, which will be used by receiver SAP system for posting idocs with appropriate ALE configurations.

  • Error values in Idoc Control Records in File to Idoc Scenarios

    Hi All,
I am posting 2 different types of Idocs in 2 different File-to-Idoc Scenarios. In many cases both these files may get picked at the same time. One is an Orders Idoc and the other one is Shipment Idoc. The Orders Idoc has a control record value in the Sender Partner Fn as 'ZC' while as for Shipment Idoc that value is not passed. The other Sender parameters are passed and are different for both these idocs. But when the files are processed, the value 'ZC' get populated for the Shipment Idoc also. When 100 files are sent with 90 orders and 10 shipments, the shipments get created with 'ZC' partner fn. This is visible in the Call Adapter Pipeline Step under the node IDocOutbound. . I have 2 different Idoc receiver adapters. Can anybody help me out here?
    Thanks,
    Geetha

    Hey,
    >'ZC' while as for Shipment Idoc that value is not passed
Check whether the Source/ Mapping  populates the 'ZC' , Did you checked Apply Control record in Receiver Adapter for Shipment, What is the name  you have mentioned for the in the SLD -Logical system  for Sender system

  • File name in control record of Idoc

    Hello All,
I have come across a requirement for File to IDOC scenario where File name picked from dynamic configuration is to be stored in control record of IDOC. As file name is more than 45 chars long, I need to use a long field.
Can you I use ARCKEY, SNDLAD or RCVLAD fields or there is some restriction to use these fields, means will it impact something?
    Regards
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
I understand that your requirement is to store name of picked up file in SAP system.
Can you I use ARCKEY, SNDLAD or RCVLAD fields or there is some restriction to use these fields, means will it impact something?
You can use them if you are sure that it would not affect routing routines and message processing in SAP ECC.

  • How to skip a record in flat file to idoc scenario?

    Hi,
Anybody have good suggestions on how to skip a record(xi not process the record) based on certain conditions?  I don't want to use bpm, anybody has experience with file to idoc can advise how to deal with this situation?
    Thanks,
    Meg

    Meg,
Its very clear. It can be easily done. I hope u might be knowing about Michal's changing the IDOC occurence blog. Based on that blog change the IDOC occurence to 0...Unbounded.
Now map all the necessary fields to the target IDOC. On the IDOC root node set condition from source if the source field is not Delete then create IDOC else don't create.
Source --- If without else[Check condition if  the source is delete] -
    IDOC(root node).

Hope its clear, if not kindly revert back.

  • Strange Problem.. File to Idoc... RCVPOR is missing in control Records.

    Hi All,
    File to Idoc:
    Sender :
    Party : PT_ABC
    Business Service : BS_ABC
Note : I provided the LS name(PARTABC) for BS_ABC Under Adapter Specific identifiers.
    Receiver :
Business system (Without party) : BS_DEV_R/3
In the IDOC receiver communication channel, I enabled the options
    -Apply COntrol records from Payload
    -Take sender from Payload
    -Take Receiver from Payload.
Note : When i won't enable the above three options in IDoc RCV channel... Message is not processing and showing error as "Unable to convert the sender service BS_ABC to an ALE logical system..!"..
File is picked and message processed and when i checked in SXMB_MONI,Idoc control records are showing clearly like below.
    - <EDI_DC40 SEGMENT="1">
      <TABNAM>EDI_DC40</TABNAM>
      <DIRECT>2</DIRECT>
      <IDOCTYP>ORDERS05</IDOCTYP>
      <CIMTYP>ORDERS05</CIMTYP>
      <MESTYP>ORDERS</MESTYP>
      <STDMES />
      <SNDPOR>SAPDPI</SNDPOR>
      <SNDPRT>LS</SNDPRT>
      <SNDPRN>PARTABC</SNDPRN>
      <RCVPOR>SAPDL1</RCVPOR>
      <RCVPRT>LS</RCVPRT>
      <RCVPRN>DEVSAP</RCVPRN>
      </EDI_DC40>
But the Idoc is reached to R/3 with status '56' .And in the control records.. the receiver port (SAPDPI) is missing.
I dunno what happened. When i cross checked, the remaining interfaces are working perfectly.
    Any idea whats going wrong?
    Regards
    Deepthi.

As a matter of fact it is not strange at all:)
It means you need to check the partner profile in the receiving r/3 system. This type of problem occurs because you need to define the partner profile PARTABC to the IDOC ORDERS05. If this association is missing you would always see the RCVPOR missing in the destination system.
Also you have mentioned that "Note : When i won't enable the above three options in IDoc RCV channel... Message is not processing and showing error as "Unable to convert the sender service BS_ABC to an ALE logical system..!"..
This is because for the BS_ABC sender service you must have a logical system associated; you can check the same by looking at the adapter specific identifiers. In your case I believe it is empty so the system can't find the logical system for it.
    Thanks

  • Control record in File to Idoc

    hi guys,
i am new to XI and now learning File to Idoc scenario.
after going thru some forums and blogs i found that while mapping the control record EDI_DC40 in the idoc should be disabled.
my question is will this control record be disabled forever or should the proper data be filled at the runtime.
help me in understanding this concept plz.
    Points will be awarded
    Regards
    BHASKER

    Hi Bhasker,
The control record acts as router. This control record has information like which is message type, Idoc type, sender port etc. [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/13/95244269625633e10000000a155106/content.htm ]
The control records need to filled since data in the Idoc has to be filled accurately. But again it is not necessary, XI has option to fill the control records by itself at runtime using receiver determination
This blog will help you understand more

  • Error Records-File-To-Idoc

    Hi all,
In processing of File-To-Idocs, if we get any error in particular record by the follwoing situations how XI will handle,
    1) Wrong value in record.
    2) Due to strcuture change happend to the particular record
    3) value range is different than expected
Is the total process stops or the correct record posts and error records will not post in the system.
    Regards,
    venu

    Hi Sravya,
What my main concern is If I'm using Message Mapping tool for mapping (value mapping/structure mapping)
Some records are might processed correctly and relavent Idocs are created some are not went fine not created any idocs In this case what happence?(Assuming each record will be an Idoc)
What I have a plan is error messages anyhow will be shown in RWB, I'll search for relavent table and send those messages to relavent person.
There might be another ways, but I'm using XI just now, I don't know how to use the Java code which u suggested to read.means where exactly i should insert this code to work on file and generates XML message and will be inout to target.
Expecting an easy solution for me.
    Regards,
    venu.

  • Posting  multiple records from file to idoc

    Hi Exerts,
i have done scenario to post one record from file to IDOC, to post multiple records from file to idoc what are the options to be modified in the scenario.
    thanks,
    dhanush

    Hi Dhanush,
You need to change the occurance of idoc to 0 to unbounded ie need to opt idoc packaging.
Just download the xsd of you idoc to the desktop and change the occurance tag as "<xsd:element name="IDOC" type="COND_A.COND_A02" maxOccurs="unbounded" />" and then reimport it into External definition and use it in your message mapping and then map it with you source structure.

  • Logical System in file 2 idoc

    Hi
I am developing an scenario of file to idoc.
My problem is, when it is generating the idoc in target system, the Parner Number in control record is filling with the logical system name given when creating the business system.
I tried changing the logical system name with actual partner number which I want but giving an error   '  The selected integration server already has a business system with logical name "pidclnt001". Select a different integration server or change the logical name. '
Can anybody advice me,  is it not possible to create two scenarios to send same Idoc to same system ?
    Regards,
    Shylesh

    Hi Shylesh !
You need to enable the header mapping option in your receiver agreement to overwrite the Logical System name that is sent to the R/3 destination system...which now is the Logical System name linked to your sender system (info is in SLD if is a business SYSTEM or in the Adapter Specific identifier attributes if it is a business SERVICE)
You cannot have more than 1 business service/system with the same Logical System name...but you can overwrite the sender logical system name that arrives to the destination R/3 system using the header mapping section of the receiver agreement as noted above.
    Regards,
    Matias.

  • XI 3 File to IDoc scenario - Still referencing Old Logical system

    Hi
Dont know if you can help. I have a file to idoc scenario  using XI 3 to R/3 4.6c system.
I had the interface working from a third party system XMLHUB to SAP R/3. The Logical system name for the XMLHUB was XMLHUB01 in the SLD which I have set up as a partner profile in R/3. I have recently changed the logical system name to XMLHUBDEV01 in the SLD and created that logical system in R/3 and changed the partner profile to XMLHUBDEV01.
Unfortunately in the sender information of the IDoc the partner number is still XMLHUB01 and not XMLHUBDEV01. I don't understand where this partner is sent from to get into the control record of the IDoc.
I have cleared the SLD cache in both the Repository and the directory. Is there somewhere else I should be looking? Any help would be appreciated.
