FILE to IDOC SCENARIO NEED MANDATORY FIELDS IN MATMAS IDOC

Hi
I'm learning a scenario like File to Idoc which is i need some what are the mandatory fields for creting the message mapping.. between source file and MATMAS IDOC... because it was showing several fields.
is there any way to find out the fields we need to map compulsory... for sending IDOC successfully.

Hi Babu !
Log into the R/3 system, transaction WE60, enter the idoc type MATMAS01 or 02, 03, 04, then press F8 or go to Documentation menu, HTML Format.
It will display a document, telling you which fields are optional and which mandatory.

hi, here I have a good suggestion to solve your problem.
Assuem you are research which field is mandatory in your mastr data inbound. Let's suppost it's a material. You already known how to create it in online t-code, which field should be filled, which view should be inputed.
Then, configure you material related IDOC for outbound, make sure that system will send out a material IDOC to other partner system (it can be a dummy system)when you create it.
Then check the sent IDOC, you can find out how SAP system fill the IDOC according to your input.
You can get to know how to fill your IDOC in this way.

Hi,
PA objects exist if infotypes 0000, 0001, and 0003 have been created.
So fill the segment accordingly, but I am not sure whether you can directly create the employee from Idoc, you may have to take the Idoc option of LSMW.

File to Mail Scenario - Need help

Hi all,
I am trying a simple file to mail scenario in which i am using following data types .
Source datatype -
Scr_File_DT
-- Root
Material_no
Plant
Target datatype -
Tgt_Mail_DT
--Content
In the message mapping i am concatenating material_no and plant and mapping it to content.
The receiver mail adapter parameters are as follows -
Transport protocol - SMTP
Message Protocol - XIPAYLOAD
URL: smtp://gmail.com
Configure User Authentication: X (Check box is selected)
Authentication Method: Plain (from drop-down box)
User: [email protected]
Password: ****
from: mail address
to: mail address
subject : test mail.
Just wanted to confirm whether these settings are correct or not? Because i am not getting the mail in my mailbox.
Can anyone please help me on this.
Also are there any other settings required for using mail adapter ?

Hi,
you should add your email address to your user,add specific users list add you r user in alrtcatdef.
generally you should maitain the email data type format like
subject,from,to,content-type..

WE31 - extend you idoc and add your created segment to it.

HI,
U can disable the control record segment and in the IDOC adapter use the option apply control record from payload.
If you have set the Apply Control Record Values from Payload indicator in the receiver IDoc adapter, the following fields are filled from the IDoc-XML payload:

Not sure if IDoc was created or received in file to idoc scenario

I configured a file to idoc scenario in my test client for idoc MATMAS.MATMAS02 , now after going thru all the phases of design and configuration and creating partner profile using we20 , when I m executing the scenario , I am not sure wht happened to the idoc becz i can't see in the R/3 system using we05/02 or BD87 in the XI system .
Pl help how to rectify the error and find out where the error has actually occured.

Hi Mojib,
first check in SXMB_MONI whether you have a success chequered flag for the file messge.................if there is error here, then rectify your this error and re-run your scenario................if you cannnot see your file msg in SXMB_MONI, then go to RWB and in comm channel monitoring, see the error in sender file comm channel status and rectify the error in sender file comm channel in ID and save and activate it and then re-run your scenario............
then execute SM58 to see in there is anything in tRFC.........if there is not anything here, then it means your IDOC has reached R/3.................
then in R/3, execute WE05 for the relevant period, then you will see your IDOC there with some status..........

Dear All,
I am working on IDoc to JDBC and JDBC to IDoc Scenario.
I have to send Idoc from SAP to Non SAP system(.NET application) i almost configured in XI but still i don't know when my INTEGRATION will INVOKE how my data will proceed from IDOC to Oracle database(Through JDBC) and in case of revese how and when Data flow will start.
Does anyone have completed STEP by STEP scenario document for this?
How my Idoc will sent to XI?
How XI will pick up data from IDoc?
How XI will Convert data to JDBC and UPDATE in Oracle Database?
And i reverse case(JDBC to IDoc) when my INTEGRATION will INVOKE?
Where and When i can watch my process and data?
How can i test the whole integration?
I AM GETTING ERROR WHILE TESTING CONFIGURATION IN Integration Directory "Error while refreshing the XI runtime cache" and when i check this in SXI_CACHE it gives me error
"Unable to refresh cache "NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM"
"Error during last refresh to cache"LCR_GET_OWN_BUSINESS_SYSTEM - NO_BUSINESS_SYSTEM"

Mandatory fields in IP01

Hi to All
In IP01 while creating Maintenance Plan,
For the maintenance plan category selected i.e. Maintenance Order
               Required mandatory fields are Priority and Planner Group.
For the maintenance plan category selected i.e Maintenance Notification
               Required mandatory field is only Priority.
With the help of user exit IPRM0004 (Maintenance plan / item: Customer check for time "SAVE"),   we could achieve two fields (Priority and Planner Group) mandatory in above both cases.
But we donu2019t require planner group mandatory with the input selection of maintenance plan category i.e Notification, Please advice how to remove it.

I think you have maintained the short text for maintenance plan type PM and NO ask him to refer table T399W and if the MPTYP is PM both the fields to be mandatory and if MPTYP is NO only priority to be mandatory

1.In FILE TO IDOC scenario after creation of RFC dest ,performing steps in IDX1&IDX2
what configurations to be done on target system?
2.In some blogs it is given that steps should be done in RFC dest,we21,we20 .
But is it mandatory to do so RFC dest and WE21 steps [OR] directly can we configure partner profile in WE20?
3.on integ server IDX2 has to be done (or) is it optional for FILE TO IDOC scenario?

Please follow the below process for configuration:
Pre-requisites for Inbound IDoc to R/3 from PI:
Configuration required at Xi side:
Go to IDX1: configure the port.
Go to IDX2: load the DOC metadata.
Go to SM59: Create RFC destination which points to R3 system this is require in the case where your IDOC is sent to R 3 system,
Configiration required at R3 side:
Maintain Logical System for PI (SALE transaction):
Maintain Partner Profile for XI system(WE20):
Pre-requisites for Outbound IDoc from R/3 to PI:
Configurations required in R/3:
Maintain Logical System (SALE)
Define RFC Destination (SM59) which points to PI system
Maintain Port (WE21)
Maintain partner profile. (WE20):
Maintain Distribution Model (BD64):

or only a port maintenance in idx1 will do.....

Do we need a sender channel in IDOC to FILE scenario.
Because IDOC is being sent by SAP R/3 System and when creating objects in ID using wizard, it doesn't ask for sender channel.
What is the reason for this?

And it has got ABAP and JAVA engine in it.
It handles connections made over various protocols such as SMTP for mail, HTTP(S), and SOAP/XML.

The SAP Web AS 6.10 did not have a Java engine.</b>
and IDOC and HTTP are present on the ABAP engine and the rest reside on JAVA engine.
and that is the reason why IDOC and HTTP doesnt require Sender Adapter and Sender Aggrement aswell.
