File to IDOC Scenario: where to import the idoc structure?

Dear all,
I have a short organizational question for you all. I have created a scenario where the MDM server places a file in a FTP directory and XI will take it from there for processing to IDOC towards the SAP system.
During design time I need to import the IDOC structure as the inbound interface for the SAP system.
My question in this situation is: do I import the IDOC into the namespace of the MDM (in which I keep the outbound interface and the mappings) server or do I place it in the namespace of the SAP system?
I ask this because in the latter case the IDOC structure will be the only object in the SAP namespace. If I do not do this, I don't have to create this.
What is the right thing to do from an organizational point of view?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi Yomesh and Sudheer,
thanks for your answers. To conclude this topic I will demonstrate how I have understood this all by giving you a short overview of how I will proceed now. Could you please comment???
Sender system is a SAP MDM system. For which I will create a SWC called <Company name>_MDM_DEV version 1.0.
For the receiving SAP Enterprise system I will create an additional SWC called <Company name>_SAP_DEV version 1.0.
And thus I do not put any objects under SWCs from the original installed product components.
Then I create a SWC for common objects as IDOCs (to what product does that need to be assigned???)
Then I will put the interface and message types in the corresponding SWCs and put the mappings in the source SWC as our landscape is not that huge.
How's that???
So under which product to create the SWC for common objects is my final question...
I will provide points to you both.
Cheers,
Auke

  • How to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping designer

    Hi All,
Can u please tell me how to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping desginer.
I have scenario My scenario is SAP GTS 7.0.....>Seeburger BIS.....>Atlas customs system for Germany
Idoc coming from SAP GTS to Seeburger BIS and then convert to EDIFACT send
    to Atlas systeam.
    Regards,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh
BIC is a tool from Seeburger to transmit the XML data to EDI and EDI to XML.
Seeburger mapping programs for transferring the XML data to EDI data and EDI data to XML data, but not for the structure changing, in the IR your mapping program is same.
Receiver side you need AS2 Adapter for converting data to EDI target structure. we have many EDI versions are available, for converting the EDI to XML or vice versa AS2 gives some default mapping programs, xml to EDI or EDI to XML convertion done through this mapping programs.
Seeburger AS adapter provider provides some mapping programs(for example EDI4010 version or other), if you are using the same EDI version(4010) then you can use that mapping programs, if the version is different then we can manually generate the Seeburger X2E and E2X mappings for the corresponding version and signal(850 or 810 or ..), for this seeburger provides the mapping designer tool (BIC), there we can develope the X2E and E2X mapping programs and configure this in the Seeburger work bench.

I am using Lightroom on my MAC where I import the finalized JPEG-pictures into iPhoto to create a slideshow (for instance in combination with films). When exporting the slideshow with a 1080p resolution to iTunes I experience difficulties (missing slides and black transitions). When using JPEG-pictures directly from the camera there are no problems, so the manipulation in Lightroom seem to cause corrupt files. Does anyone recognize tje problem and could it have anything to do with the introduction of the Yosemite software? Is Lightroom already Yosemite-proof?

  • I'm finally moving my photos from my PC to my MacBook Pro.  I have 8 years worth of photos organized into very specific albums.  Can I import the album structure directly into iPhoto or am I going to have to recreate everything in iPhoto?

I'm finally moving my photos from my PC to my MacBook Pro.  I have 8 years worth of photos organized into very specific albums.  Can I import the album structure directly into iPhoto or am I going to have to recreate everything in iPhoto?

If you want to duplicate your Folder Tree in iPhoto:
Start at the bottom of the hierarchy and drag a folder of images to the Album Heading in iPhoto. The pics will be imported and an Album of the same name created.
You can then create the Enclosing Folders in the iPhoto Window (File -> New Folder) and drag the Album to it. Folders can contain other Folders (Nested Folders) and Albums.
However, is your folder system date based? Then this form of organisation is a bit pointless in iPhoto when Smart Albums or the Calendar tool (Click on the wee magnifying glass in the Search Box) mean you can find the photos taken on any day, month or year at a click. With Smart Albums it's easy to find photos from specific range - say, June 3 to August 25, 2009 etc.
If your folder system is theme based - Xmas pics, Birthday pics etc, then you'll find Keywords are much more flexible, and can be used in conjunction with other criteria for making Smart Albums and searches.

  • IDOC Segment is missing in the IDOC even though I have populated values

    Hi Experts,
I face a problem in the IDOC processing.
I have a custom IDoc type with 2 segments in the same Hierarchy.
In the Z program I populate both the segments and send the internal table to the MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE Fun.Module.
When the IDOC is generated, I see the IDOC with only one segment and the 2nd segment is missing.
When I debugged the program, I see the 2nd Segment also getting populated.
Can you give some info that can resolve my issues.
    Thanks,
    Micheal

    Check the below points,
    1. Check the internal table IDOC_DATA in MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE in debug mode whether the segement with values are populated.
    2. Are you populating the parent & hierarchy level in segment, if yes check whether the values are right one.
    3. There may be a possiblity the std SAP code would delete the custom segment if its any syntax error in segment defenition.
Check this and if you still have the issue come back.

  • UNABLE TO IMPORT THE IDOC IN XI

    hi
We have extended IDOC INVOIC.INVOIC02.ZINVOICO2EX with a custom segment. But when we try importing the same in XI it gives the following error:
+ Error: IDoc type INVOIC02 contains errors (unable to read segments)
We are unable to understand the root cause of the problem and how to fix the same.
    Any help is welcome.

    Hello,
You could also check the following:
    1. Check the IDoc type in transaction WE60 (try to create a parser). I
prompted, check the segment definition of any erroneous segments in
       transaction WE31.
    2. Check whether the user has the necessary authorizations; for more
information, see the #Importing IDocs and RFCs# in the SAP Help
       section and SAP Note
#677732 - Authorization for MDI within framework of adaptive RFC.
    3. Check whether the necessary function modules are available. See SAP
       Notes:
#672745 - Missing function modules for mdi and
       #212011 - EDI/IDoc: Access to IDoc metadata.
    4. Check whether the RFC function module DD_DOMA_GET is remote-enabled
       See SAP Note:
#718320 - Problems using mdi to access DDIC types.
    5. Check whether any short dumps or errors are written in the source
       system.

  • Best way to include a jpg file in a project (where to locate the file)

Inside of my main VI - I am "building a path to the current VIs" directory where I have a jpg file. This jpg file displays fine when running this VI.  To do this I get the current path, strip the VI name and then add the jpg name to the path.
Now when I build an exe file and run it the jpg is not displayed.  In the build specification it appears to force the jpg file to be in the support (or data) directory.   Because of this it can no longer find the jpg when running in exe form.  I also notice that the path returned when running a exe includes the VI name as well as the exe name.
My question is what is the correct way to set up a path to this jpg (and perform an exe build) that will work both when I run the VI normally and when I use it as an exe?

    See e.g.: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=270985#M270985
Another option would be to add the image data as a diagram constant inside the VI if it the image should be an integral part of the VI. .

  • IDoc Scenario SAP ERP - PI(Receiver IDoc Adapter) - IDoc to Third-Party system

    Dear All,
I have created a scenario  to send IDocs via PI system (PI 7.1) to a third party system.
There is no message mapping involved(Only ID part)
I have imported Idoc Metadata from the source ERP system.
Created an RFC destination(BC_ERP_SEA) in the PI system of type TCP/IP with registered Server Program to third party system.(Tested success)
Created a port in IDX1 BC_ERP_SEA with above TCP/IP destination.
Receiver communication channel of type IDoc is created with the following parameters:
             RFC Destination: BC_ERP_SEA
             Segment Version: 640
Interface Version: SAP release 4.0 or Higher
             Port: BC_ERP_SEA
             SAP Release: 640
Now when I execute the scenario, I get the following error in SM58 of PI system.
Bena IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS not found on host.
Request your help for this issue.
    Thanks,
    Jishi

    Hi,
Check below steps..it may resolve your issue
    1. It is mandatory to specify Ack Destination value in IDoc_AAE sender channel. The value should be an RFC destination name which is connecting to your SAP ECC system.
    2. In inboundRA resource adapter, the value for the property "local" should be set to "true".

  • The File Explorer does not show links in the folder structure on a computer

    Dear all,
My general issue is that, when I connect my Z10 (SW release 10.2.1.2102) via USB, the File Explorer shows some folders from the connected PC. It does not list folders that are links on the computer.
A lot of those links are duplicates in a different language (because of the multilingual version of Windows 7). My particular issue is that I had to move my Documents folder to another disc and created a hardlink to that folder on the primary SSD disc. Now, this link does not show up at all in the File Explorer on my Z10 device.
Anybody knows a workaround, please? Maybe it exists another file manager similar to that one by BB, which could do that...
    Thanks for reading!

    From Mac Help..
Sharing a website on your computer
You can use the Apache web server software included with Mac OS X to host a website on your computer. Before doing so, you should already know how to create HTML pages and build websites.
To host a website on your computer:
Use the HTML editor of your choice to create your website. For your site’s homepage, use the filename “index.html” so that web browsers can locate and open it automatically.
Put all of your website’s pages, graphics, and any media files in your home directory’s Sites folder. The existing index.html page will be replaced with your new index.html page.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences and click Sharing.
    Select the Web Sharing checkbox.
To view webpages you put in your Sites folder:
Open a web browser and go to http://your.computer.address/~yourusername/.
To find your computer’s address, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then select Web Sharing. The address is displayed in the window.
For “yourusername,” use your account name, and make sure you include the ending slash (/). To find your account name, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accounts, and then select your account in the list.
You can also share a website on your computer by placing files in /Library/WebServer/Documents on your hard disk. To place files there, you must be logged in as an administrator. To view these pages, open a web browser and go to http://your.computer.address.

  • IDOC - XI - IDOC scenario. I can't import XSD to Data Type

    Helo!
I have some problem with creating data tape. I have to create data type similar to IDOC structure which i imported from SAP system. Similar becouse in this DT I need to add some more elements. Becouse the IDOC structure is large I wont to import IDOC structure to this DT automaticly. I try to eksport XSD structure of my IDOC and then import to data type but i can read the monit:
The tag <element> is not allowed at <<xsd:schema><xsd:element><xsd:element>>.
I'm beginer in XSD so I don't now how to change this file.
Can somebody help me on that or explain whot I can do to make this DT.
    Thanks for answer!

    Hi,
U can import the IDoc XSD to External defination and use it in your Message Mapping and Interfacing Mapping.
There is no need to create a data type of message type for IDoc.
    External Defination
<b>External Definition</b> enables you to import a local WSDL, XSD, or DTD file to the Integration Repository and specify which parts of the schema to be used as a description for a message.
U can use this ED as
    1.Inbound/Outbound in the Message Interface.
2.Source/Target structure for the Message Mapping.
In a scenario If there is a necessitity for changing the Occurance of some segment of the IDOC steps u perform is.
    1.Import the IDoc to XI.
2.Export the IDoc(i.e XSD format) and save it to the local machine.
3.Make changes to the IDoc structure by modifying the XSD file in the local machine.
4.Save it as an XSD file Itself.
5.Import the XSD file in the IR under the External Defination.
6.Use this XSD in your Message Interface/Mapping which is same as IDoc structure but with some changes that u have made.
Go Thru this Blog <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change Bundling - Trick without BPM</a> BY Michal Krawczyk where the Occurance of the IDoc is changed to 1...Unbounded from 1...999999999 by using the XSD.
