File Transfer Error / Checked out access

I am getting a file transfer error when trying to upload a revised file to the Remote Server. I think it may be related to the file being checked out by another team member who no longer has access to Dreamweaver. How can this be resolved? This is on a PC - I have CS6, the team member was using CS4.

May not work, but did you try renaming or deleting the locked file?
Can you log in as the other fomer team member?

File Transfer Error Between Ichat 2.1 and Ichat 3

I am trying to send my brother some files. He has an Ibook G4 and so do I. He is running Ichat 3 on Tiger and I am running Ichat 2.1. Both of us are using a wireless connection through our own personal cable modems. He can send me files and I can accept them and get them without problems. Every time I try to send him a file, before it starts, we get an error 'File Transfer Error' file name not transferred.
He says he has no problems receiving files from other buddies of all different types of operating systems.
I don't recall having any problems sending or receiving from any of my other buddies either.
Is this just an OS X.3 vs OS X.4 issue? Or is there something weird with my Ibook?

Can your brother send files to other people.
It sounds like it might be his end.
File Transfers happen on Port 5190 on the UDP protocol.
Some modems and router have problems if they have to list Protocols when Port Forwading.
Is this the case for him ?

How do I checkin/unlock files that I checked out under a different computer name?

My hard drive went bad. My IT department migrated me from windows 7 to windows 8 and also to a different user and computer name in a new domain. Now I cannot unlock files that were checked out on the old drive under the old domain user & computer.
I tried running Visual Studio 2013 under the old user name (using Run as other user), but appears that the files are inaccessibly locked on the old and no longer existing computer name.

Based on your description, your TFS and current client machine in different domains.
In this situation, you can contact your TFS administrator to make two-way trust between the two domains, then add the current user account as a team member of your team project. After that, you can ask team project collection Administrators to
unlock the file that your locked. Or ask the administrators to add your account to the group of "Project Collection Administrators". Then you can unlock the source files by yourseft after a workspace mapping on client machine. Check this

Which conditions require the rhsharedresource.apj file to be checked out?

Our team uses RoboHelp HTML 9 (upgrading to 10 this week), and we use version control. The rhsharedresource.apj file is always checked out by someone.
When is it absolutely necessary to check out the rhsharedresource.apj file?
Can you modify an index by checking out the HHK file - without the rhsharedresource.apj file?

Please answer as many of the following questions as you can. You may already have answered some of them.
1. Have you restarted your router and broadband modem since you first noticed the problem? If the answer is no, do that now and see whether there's any change.
2. Are any other web browsers installed, and are they the same?
3. What about other Internet applications, such as iTunes and the App Store?
4. Are there any other devices on the same network that can browse the Web, and are they affected?
5. If you can test Safari on another network, is it the same there?
6. If you connect to your router with Wi-Fi and you can also connect with Ethernet, do that and turn off Wi-Fi. Any difference?

Remote Execute and File Transfer Error

Whenever we try to do a Remote Execute of File Transfer, we get an 1899
error. Here's the strange thing, we can RE and FT to desktops that are
still running the ZfD 4.x client. Seems to be only happening on the latest
(ZfD 6.5sp2). Any ideas? Also, remote control and remote view still work
w/o problem.

NWDI Issue - Cannot checkout missing file that was checked out exclusively

Hello, I'm getting error when I try to edit a file (mdmapi_assembly.pp) on my project.
This file was checked out exclusively on another computer, that's does not exist anymore (even it's owner lol).
This error appear on DTR Console:
EDIT (FAILED: server response: Conflict [(pre||post)-condition failed: x:cannot-checkout-exclusively-checkedout-resource]) mdmapi_assembly.pp (C:\......\_comp\def\mdmapi_assembly.pp)

Hi Julio,
I think that some one created an activity on this specific componet and left it open. It looks like that activity never check-in. To make sure this please log on to Component Build Service>>Now select your build space and compartment>> now click on Pending activities.
See if there are any pending activites left? if there are , if you can, request basis to delete the open activity if it is not useful and nobody was using it. Sync the latest version and it shopuld allow to create a new activity. If there are no pending activites and you still see the same error then delete the project and configurations from the local NWDS. Reimport the configurations from the Development configurations perspective, and try create a project for the specific DC and try creating an activity,

File Transfer Error

1899. The connection with the Remote Management Agent is terminated.
File Transfer used to work just fine. Any ideas on why it broke and how to

Dreamweaver stuck in endless upload/file transfer when check-in enabled

I'm currently working on a site for a client that has 206 pages and some 2870 files in total (including images, PDFs and some .mp3 and .wav files).
The client works on the site in Contribute. This is a site I initially created 5 years ago - I'm doing a massive update for them (new templates, new CSS etc.) After I'd done some of the updates, I turned on check-in/check-out and re-checked the Contribute compatibility checkbox etc. in Manage Sites.
DW started marking the files as checked out (or locked, if I hadn't downloaded them recently) etc. - as I would expect it to do.
Except it kept doing it - for hours and hours. I couldn't do very much while it was doing this - everything in the menus became almost non-responsive, and I certainly couldn't check pages locally (I have MAMP installed - the pages have some PHP)
I finally let it run over night.
It was STILL transferring files in the morning! I started watching the FTP window - and it would appear that certain blocks of files were being transferred over and over.
I finally just hit "disconnect from remote host" - and have had to do that anywhere from 5-10 times before it actually breaks the connection.
Every time I reconnect to the server, it starts all over again - it will just keep transferring files forever. It keeps doing this, even though almost all the files are marked as checked out, or checked in/locked. I say "almost" - there are some it just never seems to get to. I've tried changing FTP settings (passive/not), tried deleting all the remote settings and then putting them in again. I tried deleting the _mm folder off the server in case it was corrupt. Nothing worked.
I finally just turned off check in/check out and that is the only thing that stops this behavior.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this so I can I get my work done and have my clients up and running again on Contribute? I haven't tried dumping .plists yet, and have also considered just taking everything off the server and re-uploading the entire site.

I had been putting the updated pages for the site in a Test folder, but since I've now got 150 of the 206 pages on the new template (and the remainder are in an archive section of the site - one of my clients is a bit of a squirrel ) and the school year began 2 days ago, they were eager to get the new version of the site up and running, so it was all uploaded on Monday night. (It's a public school organization - SpEd and Enrichment services for a chunk of northeastern MA)
For the time being, until I get a little farther, I'll leave check-in disabled, then before I re-enable it, I'll clean off the remote server and start fresh. And cross my fingers. I'll let you know how that works out, just in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
If anyone has any further suggestions or experience with this sort of odd behavior, let me know.

CR files are automatically checked out (with Visual Source Safe 2005)

i have a strange problem. Every time i open my solution in V.S. 2008 (V.B.) all my CR files are checked out automatically.
I must do "Undo Check Out" every time.

I have made some tests and i notice the followings:
I'm working in a CR file in design mode. I make the changes that i want, i click save and then "Check In" in order the changes to be saved in VSS. If i Don't "close" the CR File (the open tab of Visual Studio) the CR file stays "Open" in design mode. If i right click over the tab of the CR and click "close", the CR closes. This is what i mean "Open" and "Closed" file.
- When i open the solution with the crystal reports files open (design window open), the files are checked out automatically.
- When i open the solution with closed the reports, i have no problem. But if i try to open (in design mode) the crystal reports files, the report is checked out automatically (this is not happening to all reports).
I will try to reinstall the SP2 again.
Is there any newer Patch after the SP2, in order to install it?

How can I see all files I have checked out?

Is it possible to automatically check-in everything I
currently have checked out with Dreamweaver? At work I have a very
large site with hundreds of files in a complex directory structure.
I probably have a dozen or so files currently checked out. Would be
nice to just check in everything so I know I'm not preventing my
co-workers from working on any files I accidentally left
checked-out. Thanks!

File transfer error 36

Trying to transfer files between iMac and iPod classic 60GB (model circa 2005). The file transfer process begins without problem until I get the following error for a file. When I open the source document(s) they display just fine.
In researching this issue, I disk repaired both the iPod (no errors), and the iMac (error found and repaired). Still no joy in transferring files.
Another issue is that if I remove the 'corrupt' file it is necessary to start the file transfer process from scratch . . . until the next 'corrupt' file hits. Any way to have the system not transfer the 'corrupt' files and have them listed in a transfer log so I can manually tinker with them since they do open and display properly on my iMac.
Appreciate any help with this issue.
ERROR MESSAGE:
The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "<file name> could not be read or written. (Error Code - 36).

File Transfer error - stops at 26280 bytes.

I am trying to make a little file transfer utility, and it works when I test the client and server sides on the same machine, but when I began to test the client and server on different machines it starts giving me problems. For files under 26280 bytes the file transfers completely, no problems. But for anything over that amount, the server stops the transfer and returns a bunch of errors on the server side. The client thinks the file is complete and quits. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the way I have set up the Streams. Here is the code snippit:

You have a buffered input stream hanging on a socket input stream. So what if the client gets ahead of the server? Answer: for a while, there is no data available.

File transfer errors between WP8.1 and W8.1

This is probably in the wrong forum. But I cannot find anything which this falls under.
Also please forgive my lack of competence in filing an issue like this.
I own a Lumia 1020 and was trying to move photos off my phone to laptop. More specifically was trying to move the DNGs. I had already moved the jpegs. When it came to cutting or copying the DNGs I keep getting an unknown error saying that the operation would
not work. (sorry I don't have a screenshot of the prompt)
Now, I decided to restart my phone and lo and behold that batch of DNGs are now lost. Which I must say is quite a bad thing given that those photos were rather important.
Since that cannot be undone, I decided to move the other DNGs which to my surprise actually did start the transfer process without any hiccup. But, when my phone went to sleep it seemed to sever the connection between my laptop and phone thus killing the
file transfer process and generally 'unplugging' itself from my laptop until I unlocked it again.
Again I'm not sure how to submit this or under what category it falls. But this is an issue which shouldn't be happening with the finalised version of WP8.1

File Transfer Option Greyed Out with Google Talk users..

I don't know if this is possible. Is it possible to get file transfer to work between Mac iChat 4.0 users and Google Talk Windows users? Or is this not possible.. if it is possible can someone point me in the direction of getting this enabled?

I think I've ran into a licensing issue; On Oracle Standard Edition, only ASM is allowed.
