File Tunnelling - Is it possible?

Hi.
I have an unusual requirement which requires that I tunnel a file from an application folder onto a JMS queue without any transformation - i.e. pick up a file and drop into JMS queue without any mapping.
I am wondering if it is possible to "tunnel" a file in the same way that we can tunnel an IDoc or do I have to map?
Thanks in advance.
Mick.

I want to use my Time Capsule as a central 'hub/hard-drive' in order to keep all my working files in one place. I then plan to use my laptops/desktops as peripheral devices for editing and creation of these files. Is it possible? To create a personal cloud?
Can someone advise as to whether i can do the following:

I am looking to have all my files in one place as i am hopelessly disorganised. I know the online clouds are a good solution (used Dropbox at work and uni for 3 years) however i am wanting to create my own 'dropbox/icloud' at home. So whenever i get back home with my laptop, any work i have been working on whilst out that day is updated to the timecapsule, and then ultimately as i turn on the other devices, they update to those newer versions of the files. Please tell me that the 3TB time capsule i have can do this, otherwise it feels rather overpriced as a wireless storage device?
Another note (to those in the know) If i am to be working on large files (REVIT/SOLIDWORKS/KEYSHOT/CREO/AUTOCAD) - is the timecapsule connection good enough to support editing and updating these files?
I know i may be asking a question that many have before, but as a bit of a technical novice I wanted a clear-cut answer to my specific circumstances. Your help is greatly appreciated.
(*can i use this WD hard-drive that is connected to the Time Capsule as a back up? so that the time machine back-ups/any back ups are also backed up onto this one? can the WD be a backup for the TC?)

  • "Sorry, we couldn't find your file. Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?" Error with SharePoint 2013 and Office Web Apps

When I try to open any docx file from the SharePoint it opens on web via office web apps, and when I choose edit document > edit in Word , Microsoft word show me this error "Sorry, we couldn't find your file.
Is it possible it was moved, renamed or deleted?" followed by half a url to the end users document on onedrive.
I noted that this problem only happens with Docx files, with specific users  and only when you try to open the Docx file from OneDrive folder ( SkyDrive ) which is hosted in the MySite.
    Any Help?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to open the Docx file from OneDrive folder ( SkyDrive ).
Since this problem only happens with Docx files, with specific users, I recommend to delete and recreate the personal site for the specific users.

  • How can I convert a wave file to a jpeg file (picture) is it possible???

    Hello:
How can I convert a wave file to a jpeg file (picture) is it possible???

    zuckini;
I am pretty sure you know, but just to be completely sure: a wave is (usually) sound signal and a jpeg file is an image.
If you mean how to display the wave signal in a graph and then save the graph as a jpeg file, then just drop a graph indicator in the control panel, wire the signal. Check any of the example shipped with LabVIEW on how to do this. To get the image, drop a graph indicator's invoke node in the block and select "Get Image". Check this page for detailed information.
If you have something else in mind, please reply to this message with additional information about the wave signal, the image, etc.

  • Dynamic FTP Directory Address in File Adapter - is this possible?

We have a customer who would like us to pick up a file via an FTP file adapter once per day. The problem is, they have a different directory each day containing the file. The directory name is of the form YYYY-MM-DD. The name of the file in the directory is always the same.
Is it possible to dynamically calculate the Source Directory name in the FTP file adapter? If so, how?

    Hi,
All the examples I have seen are to configure the Receiver File Adapter, not the Sender File Adapter. I don't thinl I have seen one blog yet whereby the source directory of a Sender File Adapter has been dynamically configured. I wonder if it can be done because the sender file adapter does not have Variable Substitution possibilities for filenames and directories.
So has anybody a link to a blog where this dynamic choice of a source directory has been done for a SENDER file adapter?

  • Fast file system search not possible in java?

    hi,
I'd like to find all xml files on a disk as quickly as possible. The simple implementation takes far too long (e.g. over 30 seconds for a disk with 10,000 files and 1000 folders).
This is a network drive, but the reason I think 30 seconds is slow is that the equivalent C code does it in much less time (over the same network conditions)
I've seen it run on a drive with 200000 files and 30000 folders, and this takes between 10-15 minutes, while C code takes around 1-2 minutes.
I'm not sure what the C code does exactly, and it may have access to much better OS calls than java can assume.
The only three things I can think of are
    1) try to use fewer file objects (can't see a way of doing this)
    2) try threading (i've done small tests before and not got any gain)
    3) try using FileFilters (i've done small tests here too and not got any gain - I think they just implement what you'd do without them anyway..)
the other option is JNI but this is very bad since I need to run any many platforms..
profiling shows that most time is spent in the native code
    17.0% 0 + 287 java.io.WinNTFileSystem.list
    10.7% 0 + 181 java.io.WinNTFileSystem.getBooleanAttributes
but I've heard that switching between java/native is very expensive? so there may be benefits from doing it all in one go somehow?
any help would be really appreciated,
    thanks,

  • Drop dbf file and then recover - possible?

We have to 'startup mount' our database and then
    1. alter database datafile ....12.dbf offline
    2. recover using backupcontrolfile until cancel.
Can we do this on oracle 9.1.7

    Hi,
I am not sure if I have understood the question.
Here is my translation of my understanding:
    - you have dropped a datafile and do not have a backup, right?
    - you want to recover the lost datafile, right?
    My question now is:
    - how did you drop the file?
    1. did you remove it on OS level?
    2. did you drop the tablespace?
    Here the possible answers:
=> 1: if you "just" removed the file from the OS it is no problem to recreate it and recover it, under the condition that you have all the redologs archived or online which contain all the changes applied to the db since the creation of the lost datafile. Oracle will know the creation change number for the file and will be able to create a new one. It works like this:
    SQL > ALTER DATABASE CREATE DATAFILE '<name of your lost file>';
SQL> RECOVER DATAFILE '<name of your lost file>' -- number of the file is also possible
    SQL > ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE '<name of your lost file> ONLINE;
=> 2: if you have dropped teh entire database by DROP TABLESPACE ... INCLUDING CONTENTES AND DATAFILES; it is a little more tricky. Now you first need a controlfile which still contains the talespace information, because the tablesapce has been removed from the controlfile with the drop stsatement. And you can only recover what is in the controlfile. So you need a backup of the old controlfile, either a binary controlfile backup or a backup from a trace controlfile backup.
In this case you must shutdown the db and startup with a backup controlfile. You must restore the entire db from backup and recover incomplete, which means loss of data!
You must recover the whole db to a point in time short before the drop tablespace. YOu can find the timestamp for the drop tablespace in the alertSID.log file.
The first thing you do is to take a full backup of the entire db including redologs and controlfile, just in case you make a mistake in order to be able to get back to where you started!!!
    Then resore db from backup.
    Then:
    SQL> RECOVER DATABASE UNTIL TIME <timestamp> USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE;
Then you must open teh database with RESETLOGS:
    SQL> ALTER DATABASE OPEN RESETLOGS;
The next thing you do is check if you met the point in time you wanted and then TAKE A NEW BACKUP OF THE ENTIRE DATABASE, because you do not have ya valid backup any more now. It is a new database you have, at least a new incarnation.
Let me know if this was helpfull or if I have completely misunderstood your question.
    Good luck,
    Lutz

  • File Sharing Enabling Itself/ Possible Malware Infection?

    Greetings to all,
I'm posting this out of sheer desperation because no one else seems to have reported such an issue (or so Google would have me believe).
    A bit of background info:
I'm running 10.8.5 and Firefox 24.0, no frills, no extra customisations apart from one add-on; pretty much everything left to the default settings (homepage, theme, etc.).
I noticed two weeks ago that my first tab in Firefox kept shivering every time a new tab was opened or an existing one was closed.  The only thing that had been installed was AdBlock Plus and that was running flawlessly for a month.
I researched the problem on my own and found that previous versions of Firefox had similar shaking issues but none were related to AdBlock.
I reset my browser and the shaking stopped.  I re-installed AdBlock and the issue returned in ten minutes.  I reported this to AdBlock Plus but have yet to hear back from them.
Now moving onto the crux of the issue:
I noticed in the last week that File Sharing has been turning itself on.  I have another Mac on the network but I have only used this feature a handful of times and always make sure to disable it as soon as I'm done.  This is combination with e-mails that I did not send that appear to be sent from my account despite having changed my password several times in the last year.  None of my contacts have reported that they received spam from me.
I had been mildly suspicious of some such malware due to Netflix/ Hulu magically playing videos on their own well after they had already timed out.
I checked Activity Monitor and there were no suspicious processes but I figured if a keylogger, for instance, were sophisticated enough, I still might not be able to see it.
Enter MacScan 2.9.4.  I downloaded it directly from their website and ran a full-system scan which ultimately yielded nothing.
I re-open Firefox and what do I see?  Yahoo! has been made my new homepage and a bunch of Spigot searchbars have been added, namely that for Amazon and eBay.
When I Googled the company name, almost all the of articles referred to it as malware.
I have since reset my browser and I'm starting to freak out more than just a little.
A well-known and recommended AV hijacks my browser, spam is being sent to me by 'me', File Sharing is enabling itself, and of course, the phantom video playing.
Has anyone seen this conglomeration of symptoms before and if so, what can I do about it?
If not, am I going to have to wipe both Macs?
Please some kind soul out there, help!

I'm not following your description well enough to know exactly what happened. What site were you viewing when this happened, and did it happen immediately on clicking a link or did it just happen spontaneously? What is a "corrupted install window"? And what is "the corrupt file" you found in your download folder? Without more information, it's difficult to say, but it doesn't sound like malware to me. Of course, if you wish to set your mind at ease, get a copy of [ClamXav|http://www.clamxav.com> and scan your hard drive. Also, I would point you to my [Mac Virus guide|http://www.reedcorner.net/thomas/guides/macvirus>, but as I've received private communications from you already, I see you've found it!
Note that files ending in .part are temp files... they are the beginnings of files that your browser started downloading. When you cancel a download, whatever had been downloaded to that point is left in a .part file, I believe to allow for resumption of the download later (if the server in question supports that). Whatever's in there is not complete and could not possibly be opened, so it is not a threat.

  • Is File Redirection in ODI Possible?

    Hi All,
I'm still new to ODI and would like to ask if a file redirection is possible.
    Scenario is:
I receive an XML file that contains fields, data, etc,... from a source and the file has the exact information that is needed by the Target. Technically, no transformation, validation needed.
Can this be done without creating tables for staging processes? If yes, how? A straightforward receive file, send file.
    Regards,
    Dave Null

Can you give some more background about the systems where you are copying from/to (windows or unix?)
We implemented a scenario that copies a file from windows to unix or from unix to unix.
on one of the servers, we have an agent available which calls a script (via an ODI procedure) that resides on the same server.
This script will rsync the file from one server towards the other.
The cool thing about rsync is that it will copy over only the delta's of the file and shrinks the data, so it's really fast. You also have rsync versions for windows available.

  • What file transfer speeds are possible over Gigabit Ethernet - Hatter?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to consider this.
Our still photgraphic studio has a range of MACs all connected via a gigabit D-Link switch to a series of Buffalo NAS raids. Wiring is CAT5e, all devices have gigabit ethernet cards and the link lights on the switch suggest that all devices are connected at that speed.
We currently get file transfer rates of between 5 and 12 MB/s depending on network traffic.
We would like to upgrade our NAS to a NAS/SAN, preferably using the existing wiring (and avoid the expense of Fibrenet). 50 or 60MB/s would be great if possible.
Any ideas for a suitable archtecture and Hardware would be gratefully received. Cable lengths are a maximum of 30 metres.
    Paul

I'm getting sustained speeds of 90-100 megabytes/second on a transfer across GigE from one mac to another, both working on high-capacity SATA drives.
It drops to ~65 megabytes per second if the source drive is my 2TB Firewire 800 external.
both rates are right on the real-world maximum for GigE and FW800 respectively, which is a great sign that nothing else is bottlenecking the transfer.
My experience with NAS boxes has been disappointing in the past, with transfer rates of 5-35 MB/sec - painfully slow for large files, which destroys the purpose of NAS for me, which is reasonably high-speed off-computer storage.
I'm MUCH happier, and didn't have to pay very much to set up a Mac with 4 SATA drives onboard, acting as a file server... I'm actually getting files FASTER than I am from a FW800 drive directly attached now.

  • Broken Self-Contained Files? Is This Possible?

I have a folder where I archive a lof of self-contained FCP exports. The drive has been turned off for several months and upon using it today I discovered my self-contained exports are missing elements. Is this even possible? A lot of files are playing back the audio but missing the video. Or... They play some of the video but not others parts of the video. So strange. Have my files become corrupt? Anyone seen this before. I'm certain they were self-contained FCP exports. FYI/ I'm not getting the searching for XYZ-render-file, etc etc message that occurs when one is missing reference files to a non-self-contained QT clip.

Ha ha. Very funny. You know though... I'm beginning to question things b/c why is it that it's playing the majority of the video (both audio and video) but only has video dropouts in certain parts? You might say it can find the referenced files for the parts that play however it's on a drive with no other content on it. So weird. Anyone seen anything like this?

  • Compress many "still images" into a quicktime video file....possible????

Is it possible to take hundreds of "still frames" (like jpegs or tiffs) into Compressor and export them as a quicktime movie(I know I need 30 pics for every second using 29.97)? If so how? Thanks

    Christopher..
Was doing this in ImageReady, followed all the steps to save the file (with all the time lapse images) as a quicktime movie file.
And when I open the saved quick time movie file it only saves one image as a .mov quicktime file and not the rest of the images?
Looked through a few notes, retried and couldn't figure it out?
