File upload interface with gui_upload

Hi Experts,
I am trying to use the method GUI_UPLOAD of the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
But the problem is I am not getting a dialog box where we can select the file by browsing our computer.( like the browse button in Windows).
I remember getting this dialog box when using the FM WS_UPLOAD.
But this is obsolete and cannot use in Unicode programs.
What should I do? and how?
can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance.
Goldie.

  • File upload conflict with BC4JRequestProcessor under 10g

    Hello.
    I'm using file upload in application designed in JDeveloper 9i with STRUTS framework. Request processor is BC4JRequestProcessor. Application uses file upload performed with form derrived from ActionForm with property of interface FormFile. Everything was OK until migration to 10g was performed. Under 10g, the NullPointerException is reported in MultipartUtil class called from BC4JRequestProcessor. Details:java.lang.NullPointerException

    ...The problem is, that method "populate" of MultipartUtil class doesn't resolve the MultipartRequestHandler parameter and the names of the parameters (Enumeration names) has than a null value. There is a NullPointerException thrown after an attempt of iteration of this enumeration.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

  • Interakt File Upload incompatible with Firefox?  Recommend ASP Upload tool?

    Hi,
    I've been using Interakt's File Upload tool for quite some
    time but have
    recently been made aware that it doesn't work in Firefox!
    Anyway, I notice that Interakt no longer exist now, having
    been bought out
    by Adobe some time ago as it turns out.
    Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution?
    Adobe aren't
    offering any support for the Interakt products and no-one is
    answering, or
    even looking at, their forums.
    My feeling is that I'll need to just scrap the Interakt
    extension and try
    something else? Can anyone recommend a good File Upload
    extension for
    Dreamweaver ASP/VBScript?
    Please do not recommend DMX Zone as I am looking for a
    company that actually
    provides customer support for their products!
    Thanks for any advice offered. Much appreciated
    Nath.

    Hi Joris,
    Is the Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolkit included with
    Dreamweaver CS3?
    I'm using Dreamweaver 8.0.2 at the moment, but I would
    upgrade to CS3 if it
    included the Developer Toolkit. If not, it would appear that
    Adobe want
    $299 for it, although I'm in the UK, so it'll probably be
    double that! :o(
    I was previously using Interakt's File Upload
    behaviour/extension, but the
    re-direct code isn't Firefox compatible, so it doesn't
    re-direct correctly:
    <!--#include file="includes/common/KT_common.asp" -->
    <!--#include file="includes/tNG/tNG.inc.asp" -->
    <%
    'Make a transaction dispatcher instance
    Dim tNGs: Set tNGs = new tNG_dispatcher
    tNGs.Init ""
    %>
    <%
    'start Trigger_FileUpload trigger
    'remove this line if you want to edit the code by hand
    Function Trigger_FileUpload (ByRef tNG)
    Dim uploadObj: Set uploadObj = new tNG_FileUpload
    uploadObj.Init tNG
    uploadObj.setFormFieldName "imageone"
    uploadObj.setDbFieldName "imageone"
    uploadObj.setFolder "itemphotos/"
    uploadObj.setMaxSize 1000
    uploadObj.setAllowedExtensions "jpg, gif, jpeg"
    uploadObj.setRename "auto"
    Set Trigger_FileUpload = uploadObj.Execute()
    End Function
    'end Trigger_FileUpload trigger
    %>
    <%
    'start Trigger_Custom trigger
    Function Trigger_Custom (ByRef tNG)
    query = "SELECT rowID FROM table WHERE rowID = " &
    Session("rowIDsess")
    On Error Resume Next
    Set rsCheck = tNG.connection.Execute(query)
    if (Err.Number <> 0) OR (Not rsCheck.EOF) then
    KT_redir("confirmation.asp")
    else
    Set Trigger_Custom = nothing
    end if
    On Error GoTo 0
    End Function
    'end Trigger_Custom trigger
    %>
    As you can see, it should redirect to confirmation.asp, but
    this doesn't
    work in Firefox - it just loads a blank white page! Do you
    have a re-direct
    selected in your form using Kollection 3.7.1? Does it work?
    Is my code
    vastly different to what you've got?
    I purchased Advanced HTML Editor from DMX Zone, experienced a
    problem with
    it, sent e-mails and posted on their forum. I did not receive
    ONE reply. I
    won't be back.
    Would appreciate any help you could offer.
    Thank you.

  • File Upload- problem with IE

    I am using commons file upload:
    When I do item.getName() I am getting the name of the file(When I use Mozilla Browser).
    But with IE I am getting the full path instead of name of file.
    So this creates the issues while uploading.
    Can any one help me out with this.
    Thanks
    Aniketh

    Just trim off the file path? The java.lang.String API offers useful methods for that.
    Also see http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/11/multipartfilter.html for an example.

  • File upload: problem with writing uploaded file to server-harddisk

    Hello,
    according to the example in the File upload tutorial, I tried to save an uploaded file to disk, but it didn't work (and also no messages / exceptions were thrown).
    The Javadoc for the function uploadedFile.write(filename) says that if the file should be written in an other directory than the servers' tmp-directory, the server.policy has to be adjusted.
    The following line is already included in my server.policy:
    permission java.io.FilePermission "<<ALL FILES>>", "read,write";
    So I have two questions:
    1) Where can I find the servers' tmp-directory?
    2) How should the sever.policy permission code look like?

    The File Upload tutorial at http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/javatools/jscreator/learning/tutorials/2/file_upload.html has you save the uploaded file to disk. It also gives this information:
    The server holds the uploaded file in memory unless it exceeds 4096 bytes, in which case the server holds the file contents in a temporary file. You can change this threshold by modifying the sizeThreshold parameter for the UploadFilter filter entry in the web application's web.xml file. For more information on modifying the web.xml file, see the last section in this tutorial, Doing More: Modifying the Maximum File Upload Size.
    In cases where you want to retain the uploaded file, you have three choices:
    * Write the file to a location of your choosing, as shown in this tutorial.
    * Create an UploadedFile property in a managed bean and set it to the component's value before you exit the page (as in the button's action method).
    * Save the file to a database.
    By default, the File Upload component can handle files up to one megabyte in size. You can change the maximum file size by modifying the maxSize parameter for the UploadFilter filter entry in the application's web.xml file, as described in the last section in this tutorial, Doing More: Modifying the Maximum File Upload Size.

    It is only coming in Windows 7 systems and the root of this problem is SSL certificate.
    Workaround for this:
    Open application in IE and click on certificate error link at address bar . Click install certificate and you are done..

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 file upload problems with javascript

    Hi,
    Maybe someone can help me. I have both CS4 and CS5.5 and Lion installed.
    When I upload files to the remote server, formatting for all source code (including javascript) is lost. And then any javascript functions on the website do not work. I have the same problem when uploading files with Filezilla.
    Another problem - probably related - is that under Firefox javascript of my local website does not work (it works on a fresh start, but only for the first link), while the remote site under Firefox works fine. Safari works both remotely and local.
    Now, when I boot the Mac from the Snow Leopard partition, everything works just fine. So it must have to do with Lion.
    Does anyone know how to fix this, please?

    Hi, thank you for helping.
    Line Break is set to CR (Macintosh). I don't know what OS our host server is running. I would assume it is either  Linux or Windows.
    On the other user account Line Break was set to LF (Unix), so I switched it on my account as well.
    After that the file transferred with the code intact. Just out of curiosity I switched the setting back, and it still works, but only for new files. Also, old files can no longer be deleted.
    Firefox hasn't changed. Under the other user the local site works, under my user, the scripts still don't work.
    So, I am very confused. I will give Apple a call to see, how I can reset the user preferences and report back.

  • File-PI_File Interface with additional feature

    Dear All,
    We have already implemented successfully File-PI-File scenario in which files are picked from a certain folder and is converted into a different format and is sent to another folder. Now I want to add another feature to the scenario that a mail should trigger every 24 hrs or 12 hrs  which should inform regarding how many files has been processed during that period along with the file names.
    Is there any standard functionality available to achieve this??

    a workaround would be to store the filenames into a ABAP table via RFC call or a DB table via JDBC. then have a scenario configured where this data will be fetched (schedule your adapter for once a day) and accordingly a mail can be triggered.

  • File upload - issue with European .csv file format

    All,
    when uploading the .csv file for "Due List for Planned Receipts" in the File Transfer Upload center I receive an error.  It appears that it is due to the european .csv file format that is delimited by semicolon rather than comma. The only way I could solve this issue is to change Regional and Language options to English. However, I don't think this is a great solution as I can't ask all our suppliers to change their settings.  Has anyone come across this issue and another way of solving it?
    Thank you!
    Have a good day,
    Johanna

    Igor thank you for your suggestion.
    I found this SAP note:
    +If you download a file, and the formatting of the CSV file is faulty, it is possible that your column separator does not match the standard settings of the SAP system. In the standard SAP system, the separator is ,.
    To ensure that the formatting is correct, set your global default for column separation in your system, so that it matches that of the SAP system you are using.+
    To do that Microsoft suggests to change the "List separator" in the Regional and Language Options Customize view. Though like you suggest that does not seem to do the trick. Am I missing something?
    However, if I change the whole setting from say German to English (UK) the .csv files are comma delimited and can be easily uploaded.  Was hoping there would be another way of solving this without need for custom development.

  • File Upload program with return value

    Hello,
    I have the following code in my Java program which I use to upload files and return the value of "filename" to the original opening window. Somehow there where changes which now invalidates this piece of code and gave a javascript error message of
    "Error : Access is denied"
    "Code : 0"
    Here is the portion of the code where processing seems to stop.
    fileOut.flush();
    out.println("<script language='javascript'>");
    out.println("this.window.opener.document.frm.sign2.value='" + saveFile + "';");
    out.println("window.close()");
    out.println("</script>");
    out.println("<br> !!! File written " +
    "<br> This is an attachment confirmation page" +
    "<br> *** Please close this window ***");
    More particularly the statement --> out.println("this.window.opener.document.frm.sign2.value=" + saveFile + ";");
    As I have stated, this program worked before and returns the value to the opening window.
    Now, it can still upload but doesn't not return the saveFile to the field sign2 of the opening window.
    Any help or leads will be very helpful and appreciated.
    Thanks very much.
    Juan

    No need of ; after window.close() ?

    Rob,
    The File Browse item type does not require upload table WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$. The POST for the File Browse item type is intercepted by modplsql and is inserted into the Document Table as defined by the Database Access Descriptor.
    You could ultimately create your own DAD with your own Document Table. The Document Table would have to contain the minimum definition as described at:
    http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_03/web.1012/b14010/concept.htm#i1005880
    This way, users of the application using the Basic Database Authenticated DAD would be uploading directly into your table and not the HTML DB one. A word of caution, though, is that you would never want to use this DAD with HTML DB development itself...you would need to use the DAD that specifies upload into WWV_FLOW_FILE_OBJECTS$ for HTML DB development.
    I hope this helps.

  • How can I create a file uploader for my website

    I am looking for a solution for creating a file uploader interface for my website. I need to accept files on a users local machine and upload them to designated directory on my server. Can I do this with JSP? Any advice or help would be appreciated
    Thanks

  • Android File browser/picker with previews

    Dear Adobe Community,
    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to add a file browser interface with preview icons of images, videos, and/or file type icons on Android using Adobe Air? The closest I've found is a native extension from Freshplanet called AirImagePicker, but it seems to have a bug or such that makes it crash after a file is selected (esp. a non-image type file). If the extension worked as advertised, it would be a shoe-in solution for what I am trying to do. I am hopeful the collective Adobe developer community can point me in the right direction.  (Again, the key being able to visually see preview of the file I am picking, not just a list of filenames, which I can do now).
    thank you for any suggestions,
    Alex

    Jari,
    After stoping and starting Apache it still does not let the android native browser recognize and download the .apk file from the database. I did notice the mimetype changed in the database row uploaded from application/x-zip-compressed to application/octet-stream after start/stop Apache.
    The last thing we can see on the android browser after the user clicks to download is if flashes by quickly trying to reference ourserver.address/pls/apex_util.get_blob?s=1529869703592527&a=348&c=51564030540477032&p=9&k1=63&k2=&ck=BF8169C3C24A2EE7047306EABEAFCB1C&rt=CR
    I do not know if the bug noted is causing issues or not. I do not get any error uploading the .apk file into apex if that is where the error occurs?
    Any thoughts on what is happening?
    Thank you,
    Mark

  • File Upload, how to get full file name

    Hi Experts,
    I have to get the complete file path when I use fileupload UI Element. but I am not able to achive this.
    I used a File Upload UI, with filename property mapped to string variable filename and Data mapped to a binary variable filedata.
    I tried to get the file name in below ways
    1. wdContext.nodefile().currentfileelement.getfilename();
    and
    2. through modifiablebinary type also.
    but in both cases I am getting only the file name, but not the complete path.
    Is there any way that I can get the file path.
    If I uplod a file in D drive (example.txt),
    I am getting the file name as example.txt but I want to get it as D://example.txt
    Please help me,
    Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi
    What Stream are you using for read a file ?
    InputStream inputStream = resource.read(false);
    File  filePath = new File(inputStream.toString());
    wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportWarning(filePath .getAbsolutePath());
    Best Regards
