File Upload: Please Help
Hi Ppl, Will midp allow me to write an application that can upload a file preferably less than 100kb in a file server.
Unless you're required to use FTP, it might be worth looking at doing the upload via an HTTP POST. Look at [RFC 1867 - Form-based File Upload in HTML|http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1867.txt]. This is fairly easy to implement on the client side, and since it's the same technique that browsers use for file upload, there's usually a straightforward way to implement server side support. There's some sample code for a servlet to receive the file at [http://www.servlets.com/cos/|http://www.servlets.com/cos/].

this may happen on external drives if:
The external drive was hotpluged (removed) without going the correct "eject" way
The iTunes library (database) got corrupted
First Aid for external drive
Close iTunes
Unmount (eject) external drive the right way.
Mount drive again
Go to Workplace -> right click external drive -> choose "clean up" This will force the filesystem to rescan the file structure of the drive and rebuilding the file system table and journaling file.
After the tool shows "done" (could last some time depending on size of drive) restart iTunes
If your iTunes library is on your internal drive, this may happen
The system was not shoot down correct, e.g. "pulled the plug"
The iTunes library (database) got corrupted
First Aid for internal hard drive
Close iTunes
Reboot system
Go to Workplace -> right click external drive -> choose "clean up"
After the tool shows "done" (could last some time depending on size of drive)
Reboot system, restart iTunes
If none of the above fixes your problem, post here.

I Keep getting "your startup disk is full" ..... "You need to make more space available on your startup disk by deleting file..." If I can't have an acess, how can I delete files. Please help..
That means the hard drive of your computer is full, and you don't have enough free space on your computer, to do what you are trying to do.
You need to clear up space on your computer.
If you hard drive is full, check the following places to ensure they are not holding unwanted data.
- your trash can in the dock
- if you use iPhoto, your trash in iPhoto - launch iPhoto, and select trash in the left hand column. iPhoto has it's own trash, and is often overlooked
- your download folder - finder / home user / downloads - every time you download something, it stores it here. This is often overlooked as well
- do you have more than one user on the computer? If you do, ensure they are needed. If not, delete them, and the contents of their home folders
If you hard drive is very full, you may want to consider the following:
- putting in a newer larger hard drive - (call you local apple store for prices on this)
- deleting data off your computer
- moving data to an external drive - (iPhoto Libraries, iTunes Libraries or iMovie events, as they are the biggest space hogs) -

I tried loading the multiple page PDF file via File Menu -> Scripts -> Other Script...
After executing the script file -> Browse and enter the page number - > OK
The PDF file is looks like created from word document. There are total 120 pages in this file.
PDF file size is 20 MB.
I'm still searching for the solutions. Please help me.

Problem with Multi File upload example, help needed

And I've got it to work to some degree except I cant get the file transfer to work when pressing, Upload. Below is what my debugger outputs. Any thoughts on how to fix this or even what it means?

Restricting the type to application/octet-stream may generate errors. Also, it is unnecessary, because we perform a type check anyway.

File Upload Problem - help with a condition

I have built a form that includes a file upload. Everything works great until I don't include a file for upload(!) It wont allow me to "not" upload a file, it throws an error at me. My database allows this field to be blank. Do I have to wite some sort of condition that allows the file field to be blank, if so, could anyone help with it?

I believe I had some kind of virus attack. I got everything cleaned up. (I HOPE) In the process of cleaning the virus, I unintalled Firefox because it wouldn't open. Kept getting the error message that Firefox was already open and I had to close out of the sessions or restart the computer. After restarting the computer several times and not being able to find any open sessions in task manager, I uninstalled. When trying to reinstall, I get the error message "can not find archive file." I've tried downloading Firefox from cnet as well as the Mozilla site to no avail. Please help. I'm getting tired of using Chrome already!

500 Internal Server Error again pleas (including log file)..please help
1. After i unziped and installed jdeveloper to:
C:\Jdevstudio successfully
2. Then i created the untitled1.jsp page ---> only showed Hello world and save
3. the Embedded OC4J Server compiled successfully ..i thought this meant nothing wrong with the code.
Successful compilation:0 errors, 0 warnings..
4. But when i looked into the Embedded OC4J Server-Log
i found the error :

6. I still did know the real problems then i read the installation guide of jdev
is it necessary to set the JavaHome in C:\Jdevstudio\jdev\bin\jdev.conf
or do i need to set ORACLEHome in this file

it seemed fine...
8. Anything wrong with admin.jar....
9. is the problem from setting not setting jdk (javahome) or admin.jar...or OC4J problems please help

Finder requires password to delete files, Trash does not show deleted files. Please help me resolve.
Deleting folders/files causes the password pop up interface to appear, does not seem to matter where the file/folder is. After deleting, it should appear in the trash, but does not. Moving files is not affected, with the exception of moving files into Trash. This did not happen in the morning.
Accessing ~/.Trash gives following message "The folder “.Trash” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents." .Trash is hidden, and i can't view its permission from the Get info page.
I am the owner of the laptop, i don't understand why this is happening. The other thread with similar problems involved a software upgrade and had problems with moving files also, whereas my MBP was okay this morning, i didn't do anything else from then till now.
i did a ls -al ~ on the terminal, relevant lines as follows

compared to desktop, which i had no problems (yet, not sure)

Open the Terminal in the Utilities folder and paste the following at the prompt:
sudo rm -Rf ~/.Trash
Press RETURN. Enter your admin password when prompted. It will not echo to the screen. Press RETURN again.

So you saved them directly to the external drive?
Illustrator does not particularly like that.
You could try and first copy the files to your harddrive and then open them.
But you could also search this forum for Jacobs list on recovering corrupt files. Your issues don't sound too good.
