Multiple IDocs to File using BPM
Hi All,
I have configured a scenario of multiple IDocs to file using BPM. In this scenario while I am triggering IDoc from R/3 system it is sent to the external program. I am getting in the status record of WE05 as IDoc is sent to an external system with status code 03. But I am unable to view the same message in moni of the XI system.
Also I have checked the ALE settings on both the sender and receiver side and it is fine.
Also in SM58 nothing is there in queue.
Can anyone solve this issue of mine?
Cheers,
Neethu.Hi,
in many cases it's a problem with the RFC connection. You should try an authorization test in SM59 of the R/3 system.

Create two identical idocs from one input file with BPM
Hello all .
My issue is the following.
I have a scenario where an input file is mapped to an IDOC .
The problem is that i need to create a second - almost identical - mapping to the same IDOC type and when the input file is receive both of them should be sent .
I suppose that BPM is needed for this scenario, but are there any examples or tips i should follow?
Thank you all in advance .Rucinski and Sarvesh, thank you both for your answers , they are very helpful.
I have started trying Rucinski's method, because I would better avoid redoing the mapping on the second IDOC (it is pretty hard and critical) . But I have a problem.
When i run the senario, the system replies (for the second IDOC)
"Unable to interpret IDoc interface NEW_IDOC_MI"
The reason for this is that in the Interface Determination i have two entries for the inbound interface,
Orders.orders05 and
NEW_IDOC_MI,
which is wrong. I should be using the original Orders.orders05. But this can't be done, because in tha case the Interface Determination, requests a Condition to be entered. Any suggestions on this ?
Sarvesh, is there any way to duplicate the IDOC, keeping the mapping that is allready done ? -
Hello frens,
I have to do a scenario which will merge to files into one file using BPM....
Means for example :
File 1 contains these fields:
First Name
Last Name
File 2 :
First Name
Last Name
The output File which I required is :
First Name
Last Name
First Name
Last Name
Can anyone send me the step by step procedure fr this scenario?

Hi Experts
I have BPM where i receive some message. Scenerio is sync. So i BPM first i open sync to async bridge. In BPM i send idoc to ERP end after this step i do transformation with source abstract interface releted to idoc message target respode to sync request.
My purpose is to recieve message id of idoc that has been send in this BPM. in transformation i receive message id of abstract interface with naturaly has diffrent id than idoc.
Any idea ?
Regards
M.Bhavesh,
I have reached a step further in my Mapping.
I have defined a Mapping between File1_ABS and File2_IN (get Message ID)
Second Mapping is between File2_ABS and File2_IN
for Scenario : N:2 Transformation
N IDoc collected (Receive) -> Transform(2 files) -> Send1(File1_ABS)
-> Send2(File2_ABS)
I am struck at the Scenario. How do i define Receiver Agreement, Interface determination and Receiver determination?
Kindly Advice.
Thanks,

File-RFC-File (without BPM)- Issue
Hi All,
I am working on a File-RFC-File (without BPM) scenario in PI 7.1.
My scenario is having few problems like, its not able to delete the file from the source directory path (for which we have delete permissions) and it is an NFS system and it shows an error in the Sender file CC.
"Error: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPAObjectKeyException: Value of key must not be null: ObjectId"
But it gets processed successfully and provides a written paramter which I could see in MONI, but again doesn't write the file in the target directory. Could you please provide your inputs and let me know if I need to do any additional settings w.r.to PI7.1.
These are the parameters which I have specified in the Sender File adapter
Processing sequence
AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean Local Enterprise Bean 1
CallSapAdapter Local Enterprise Bean 2
AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean Local Enterprise Bean 3

There is a JSP file which invokes the method of BPM, which inturn creates a excel file.
In JSP we are calling the method in the following way:
function exportSelectedItemsToExcel(){
var url="<f:invokeUrl var='reportingView' methodName='exportToExcel'/>";
url = url + "&bpmRespContentType=application/vnd.ms-excel";
var windowHandle = window.open(url,'windowName','width=800, height=600, resizable=1, menubar=1');
POI jars are used to create the excel.
Also we recently did the migration and applied a patchset of 10.3.3 on 10.3.2. In the previous verison(10.3.2) it was working perfectly fine. When i am trying to test it on localstudio, it is generating the excel file properly.
Have any one faced any such issues while migration or any other time?Manifests are saved with the .mf file extension. Rename your manifest mainfest.mf.

Help needed in splitting files using BPM
Hello experts,
I am working on an interface where i need to split files within BPM.
I know,i can achieve it in Message Mapping by mapping Recordset to Target structure and then using Interface Mapping within Transformation step. But i dont want to follow this.Is there an alternative way to achieve this within BPM.
I have an input file with multiple headers and i need to split for each header. My input file looks like this:
HXXXXXABCDVN01
MXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
MXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
HXXXXXABCDVN02
MXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
MXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
HXXXXXABCDVN03
MXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Is there a way, where i can specify this condition within BPM , that split files for every H.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
SwathiHi,
have your target structure with occurence as 0...unbounded in the mapping and map the header filed to the root node (repeating parent node) of the target structure....this will create as many target messages as the header fileds....if you want to send these messages separately then use a block in BPM with ForEach option....
Splitting and Dynamic configuration can be applied in the same mapping.
Regards,
Abhishek.

Process sequence in File - XI/BPM - File scenario
how does QOS works within BPM, Since some processes may take time to process for whatever reasons ( due to some delays ).
I'm planning to develop a scenario like this.
I have 7 files which have same Batch number as part of File name which Iam planning to use as Correlation in BPM.
File 1 starts BPM.
Within BPM, all other 6 files will be received and sent out.
Then File 1 should be sent
Then I need to make SOAP call to trigger event on the 3rd party application.
My question is
If I use EOIO as QOS on the Sender file adapters, how does the process works in the following situations.
File 1 - Batch 1 arrives - BPM process 1 starts
File2 - batch 1 arrives - BPM process receivs and sends message
BPM here still waiting to receive files
File 1 - batch 2 arrives - BPM Process 2 starts
All other files . Since all files arrived, all files will be be received and sent out in BPM.
Now question is
BPM Process 1 is still waiting for other files to arrive and BPM process 2 is completed ( Are files will be waiting in Queue here ???)
Does writing of the files on the receiver side will be postponed until queue receives the files from BPM process 1 since I sued QOS as EOIO for all files ?
Would someone please clarify this please.Hi,
In this blog, I have used Business <b>Service</b> created in the integration directory.. This is an abstract . So I need to specify , the Sender and Receiver Interfaces explicitly in the business service. and it doesnot have any entry in the SLD.
But if you create the Business System in the SLD and if you import that into the Integration Directory-->Assign this into your configurations scenario, then this step is not required.
Regd. Importing Integration Process- BPM is kind of Abstract Service.. i.e BPM is acting as a Receiver Service and Sender service both..
i,e Source to BPM ( here BPM is a Receiver)
BPM to Target( here BPM is a Sender Service)
Hope this clarifies..

We need to create output file for each record. In this case, the system should generate 26 output files.
I imported the RFC and created the required interfaces and designed BPM also.
Start --> Receive step --> Synchronous Send --> Asynchronous Send
But, I stuck in how to deliver each record to the output file from BPM.
Any idea, friends. (like using BPM Multi-line option. or 'Receiver From' property in the Send Step)
Kindly help me friends to solve this issue.
Thanking you.
Kind Regards,
Jeg P.Hi
You can do it by creating one another message interface having structure same as your table.
What you have to do is create a mapping in such a way that for each record in table one message(newly created) must be created.
Use that mapping in an interface mapping, remember occurence of target message should be 0..Unbounded both in message mapping and interface mapping.
Now create one single line message and one multiline message in BPM for newly created message.Use transformation step with new interface mapping, mention source(RFC response) and target message(use multiline element of new message) for the transformation step.
Use send step inside a block, set block mode to "forEach", and attach new message to that send step.
Use multiline and single element of new message in the property window of block.
Now your BPM will look like
Start ---> Receiver ---> Synchronous send ---> Transformation ---> Block ---> Async Send(within block)
I think in this way you can implement what you want.

Error in File-RFC-File Without BPM
Hi,
We are following this wiki
[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/display/xi/file-rfc-file(Without+BPM)]
and we are getting Error: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: Received HTTP response code 500 : Internal Server Error in sender communication channel monitoring. File is not picking. I think problem with the parameters that we have mentioned in module tab in sender communication channel as specified in the wiki. If we remove additional 2 parameters it is picking the file.
Please help me to resolve this issue.
Thanks.
Jyothi Anagani.are you able to see the logs of file adapter?
go to messaging system and check the details

Java.lang.NullPointer Exception in File-RFC-File wtihout BPM scenario
Hi All,
I have implemented scenario File - RFC - File without BPM in PI7.1 according to below link by bhavesh
[File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.;
but I am getting error java.lang.NullPointer Exception in Audit log of sender communication channel when it enters in ResponseOnewayBean.
I had implemented the same in PI 7.0 but there it was working fine.
Is there any limitations on the use of the above beans in PI7.1 as I could see two more threads on the same unanswered yet.
Please help me in resolving as it is priority task for me
Thanks,
AmitSometime back I saved this SAP Note 1261159 for this error. Not sure if it is still valid. Try to get it implemented.

</SAP:Error>Hi Raju,
As per my understanding you want to merge two files and send it to the target. Then you can do it with and without BPM. But, since you are using BPM then you have to create Integration Process in IR and design it like:
2 receiver step
1 sender step and 1 transformation step
Follow these steps:
Create 2 Source DT, 1 Target DT
Create 2 Source MT, 1 Target MT
Create 2 Outbound MI, 2 Abstract MI for Source MT, create 1 Inbound MI and 1 Abstract MI for Target MT.
Create Message Mapping. Insert 2 Outbound Source and One Inbound Target and MAp it whatever you want.
Create Interface mapping in same way as Message mapping only difference will be use Abstract interface in both sides.
Now go to BPM.
Create BPM with steps like this
Start -> Fork -> Two receive (define co relation)-> after fork Transformation step (Give IM) -> Receiver Dtrm -> Send -> end.
Configure ID -
Create 2 sender Agreement (2 communication channel (Bus Sys to IP )), 1 receiver agreement (1 CC, IP to Business System)
I hope it will be helpful for you.
Thanks
