File-XI-BW without Proxy

Hello,
I would like to bring data into BW via XI(File-XI-BW). I don't want to use proxy. Is there a doument which talks about this scenario using RFC.
Thanks
N.S

Hi,
Even you can think of making File->XI->File scenario to push the data into BW. In this case file will be stored in the BW some folder and then some programs will upload this to BW info table etc..
So it is prefer to use proxy to avoid performance problems if you are dealing huge volume of data..

  • File - xi - bw   without proxy  but with RFC

    Hallo
Is it possible data to BW over XI to send on by RFC without one proxy to use, and if how?
    Thanks
    yves

    Hi Yves,
there is an SAP how to available giving details on how to integrate BW. what they describe there is to use a SOAP data source (as of BW 3.5) for which BW will automatically create an RFC function. However it is pretty much recommended to encapsulate this RFC into a proxy because the proxy can handle exactly once in order processing which is important for BW data.
I have implemented some scenarios like this and they work pretty well, so for me there is no reason to not go for proxy but use RFC. However if you have an older BW system, you might not be able to omitt RFC.

  • Anyone know of an app that will merge multiple folders with files inside them without duplicates or losing any files???

I have two large iTunes folders that have thousands of folders within them and thousands of .mp3 files within those folders.
I need to merge them without duplicating or replacing files.
    Suggestions?
    Prelude/backstory:
I just got back one HD (HD1) from a recovery place that recovered close to 45,000 mp3s in addition to the thousands of mp3s that were already there.
My second HD (HD2) has the same mp3 files that did not need to be recovered, but also has additional mp3s that I added in the time HD1 was away at recovery.
I want to end up with one iTunes folder that has all the files in it, without duplicating them and without losing any.
    Thanks in advance!

I recently received on my notebook, operating system 8.1, the message "Adobe Acrobat is no longer working properly". I also found myself that I can copy from einerPDF file excerpts not without problems in another document. My Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro has released version 9.0.0. Two updates this version is not listed. Please inform me how I can fix this problem.

The first thing I would try is to update Acrobat 9 to the latest version 9.5.5
The next thing would be to run Acrobat 9 in Windows 7 or Vista or XP Compatibility Mode.

Try creating an exception for your proxy-server - see pics attached (Win XP SP3).

    Hi Sandeep,
I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.

  • File to ABAP Server Proxy Scenario

    Hi 2 all,
I am running File to Server(ABAP) Proxy scenario...
I have checked the ABAP Server Proxy at application server only and it is working fine....But when i am running the whole scenario my server proxy is not getting executed..( i.e my file is being picked up but proxy is not getting called ..:(( )
Can i expect some valuable inputs regarding this issue..?
    Regards,

    to debug the problem....
first check SXMB_MONI of R3 system... where proxy has been created.
1 .check whether your proxy has been called ... it will be evident you get any message in moni for you interface or namespace..
    2. check you proxy message has not got stucked in queue... sometimes message get stucked in queue and hence proxy are not called.. release the messaeg using smq2.
    ELSE
    1 .go to SXMB_MONI...of XI..
    2. select 'Call Adapter'  in right hand of monitor.
    3. check the 'trace' under Call Adapter.
    4. if you go at end of trace or somewhat near to end.. there should trace like...this ...
    Trace level="1" type="T">Receiver party normalized =</Trace>
      <Trace level="1" type="T">Receiver party external =</Trace>
    - <Trace level="1" type="B" name="CL_XMS_PLSRV_CALL_XMB-CALL_XMS_HTTP">

      <Trace level="3" type="T">HTTP-client: closing...</Trace>
      </Trace>
check whether connection establishment between XI and R3 is successful or not...
if you are getting same message as above ,,that means ur RFC is working fine...
problem is on r3 side.. for this go to r3 and check moni...

Open the Preferences panel (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac), and select the Site category. There are two checkboxes there for dependent files. Make sure both are selected. The Dreamweaver default is NOT to upload/download dependent files. You need to click Yes, if you want the dependent files to be included.

  • File/FTP to ABAP Proxy (file as attachment)

I have the following scenario: File/FTP -> XI -> ABAP Proxy but not the normal case. What I need is the picked file as attachment and the file name. I hope this is possible.

  • How do i add files to itunes without it copying all of them over again

i just recently purchased a brand new G5... i have been a PC user my whole life and have just recently made the change. I am glad that I have but i am running into some basic problems. I put all of my old mp3s on DVD and just recopyed them into this HD... i am used to using winamp.. where i have files just how i like them and i add them to a playlist and play them.. how do i add these files to itunes without having the program copy all of the files again to the ...itunesmusic directory. PLEASE HELP ME

In iTunes go to Preferences > Advanced, there you can tell iTunes to NOT copy the music files to the iTunes Music folder while importing.
(I'd advise you, though, to consider changing your old habits and letting iTunes manage the music files on your hard drive, that's the way iTunes was designed to work. After all, iTunes is not Winamp ...)

    Ravi

    Hi,
The error mentioned is indicating about the Message Mapping error.
I think you need to test your Message Mapping with test tab.
Here Goto SXMB_Moni and select the related message  and double click on it.
It will show you the various steps in Message flow.
Take the Inbound Message and look for Payload in it. Open it in right side window and right click on it to see source code.
Copy it in Message Mapping and test it
    Thanks

  • How to use the option "Use FTP Proxy" within file adapter for FTP-Proxy

    Hello there,
I'm currently dealing with a problem regarding PI 7.40 file adapter and our proxy server. We have installed our pi system within our LAN behind two DMZ's. So we need to use the ftp-proxy function. But when I try to send a file useing this communication channel I'll geht the following error:
If have asked my system colleagues and they told me to use the ftp-proxy string as used in filezilla:
Is there anyway to use this type of ftp-proxy string within the pi configuration:

    Hi Harrish,
I have already found this note but I also found the note

But as I alread tried the solution I think it's not working

  • Adding/Installing MXP Theme file to Eclipse (without AEM)

Adding/Installing MXP Theme file to Eclipse (without AEM)
Recently downloaded Adobe Flex (FlashBuilder 4 plugin LS10) for Eclipse, and going through some Tutorials where they want me to install a Theme to learn Styles.
They want me to install MXP file, but I cannot find where to. Every place on the web assumes you haev Adobe Extension Manager(AEM) installed, so I went and installed that, but even with that, it doesn't seem to find the Flex install (under eclipse) so won't allow me to install the Theme.
So how does one go about installing/adding a MXP file to Eclipse without the full Flex distribution (though with all the searching and talking/waiting for tech support - which they then directed me here) it probably would have been quicker to install the full dist.
But I figure I can't be the only one who would ask this so hopefully my pain will help someone in the future.
    Thank you for any help.
    Joe

There is no shortcut known to me to to prevent a file from being copied to the 'iTunes Music' folder.
To add a file to the library, without copying it to the 'iTunes Music' folder, uncheck 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library' in Preferences>Advanced>General.
In the subject of this topic you are referring to 'importing', but from the contents of this topic, I presume you're only talking about 'adding'.
To understand the differences, read this article:
iTunes: About the Add to Library, Import, and Convert functions.
BTW: If you 'import' files, the files are always copied to the 'iTunes Music folder location' as set in the preferences, regardless of the status (checked/unchecked) of the checkbox of the 'Copy files to etc.......' setting.
    Hope this helps.
