FileData - Upload - Information Loss

Hey
My problem is: I am using Multiple Image Upload, but the data that i want sending to the database doesnt get sent, just black fields doo.
I am sending info from a form, to the page, the data gets there as i have echo'd out the data...
When i click upload, it uploads images and puts them to the database, but the information i sent to the page is wiped.
I think the problem is that the datasend upload componant is sending the page before the upload, thus loosing the information as the page is in thoery refreshed...
My solution was thinking i should use cookies or sessions, but have no idea on declaring sessions and cookies...
But has anyone else any experiences on how to insert data from multi image upload with database wizard?

Most of us in this forum are users who volunteer on technical issues, and not Adobe employees although they do drop in from time to time. As users we simply have no control over activation and that's why you are not getting responses.
If you havn't done so,you might try the Muse forums and see if you can get a staff member to look into it. Have your case numbers and phone transcripts handy.
Last option is to keep calling customer service until you get someone who will help or ask for a supervisor.

Uploading information to iTunes match

Just purchased iTunes match. And having problems at the uploading stage to Apple it continues to just run

I was caught in a similar cycle where iTunes Match could not progress through Step 3 (Uploading artwork and remaining songs) and would just restart at Step 1. My problem was the cable modem I used (Motorola Surboard DOCSIS 3 modem, xtreme I believe?) that -- for unknown reason -- is not compatible with iTunes Match. The second I tried uploading my music at a friends place that uses a different modem, everything worked like a charm. So definitely try another modem.
I will say, however, that I believe there is a 20,000 song limit with iTunes Match, which may or may not cause the problem as well. You should be able to research that fairly easily.
I also received phenomenal customer service from Apple when calling them. They bumper my issued to a higher level right away and assisted me for several days with calls at any time I requiered until everything was just right, so if changing to a different network (with a different modem) does not help, definitely try calling if you have not done so already.

Can't upload information from Iphone 3gs

I just purchased the Nike + Ipod kit. I used it for the first time today on my Iphone 3Gs, and when I put it into Itunes, it just said "submit automatically to Nike +", without giving me another option to register or sign in with Nike + (which I later did on the website, thinking that this might be the problem). That option kept (and keeps) crashing when I press it. I contacted Nike, and they said to contact Apple, who I called and they said that this is a Nike issue....so, no help.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Im in the same position with my ipod touch. I also tried to follow the link to the nike site however it failed every time and now when i connect my i pod it doesnt even come up with the message to connct to nike.
please help someone!

Asset Initial Upload & reporting for uploaded value

Hi SAP Gurus,
I have uploaded the asset data using AS91 and also updated the GL values in OASV.
The initial upload seems to be all correct in this manner since TB is tallying.
However when i view the FA reports for the date of upload i am finding discrepancies in the Accumulated Depreciation values as shown in the report & the values uplaoded in AS91.
Let me explain further, say for eg. the Cost of the asset was Rs. 10,000/- and Accumulated Depreciation as per legacy (as on date of upload) is Rs. 1858/-. However the actual Accumulated Depreciation should have been Rs. 1863 --- the diffference in legacy data was due to runding offs in previous months.
Now when i uploaded the intial data i used the legacy figures i.e. Rs. 10,000 & Rs. 1858 since trial balance had to be tallied.
However when i run reports in FA for the initial upload date, i find that the reports are showing the Acc. Depn (plan values) as Rs. 1863 & not the value that i have uploaded.
What possibly is the reason for this ?
Can anyone tell me any report to view only the uploaded information ?

There is an error appearing as below:
"Report date 31.08.2007 is invalid for this report.
Reports of this kind can only be run for the last day of the period in which the last depreciation posting run took place (or in a subsequent period) in the relevant fiscal year.
It is not possible to run a report on posted depreciation in a fiscal year in which no depreciation posting run has yet taken place."
My legacy upload date was 31.08.2007.
When i run for 31.12.2007 (last period in the fiscal year for which dep. run has taken place) then the results are ok.
But still i would like to assign some points to you since this would have helped indeed.

Questions about OAS Portal Forms to upload files

Hello,
I have quetions, about uploading files, see I need to creat a form that will be used by other people to upload information that later will be presented as downloads in the portal...
so I created a form in my provider with a file (binary) field, and it mimes to my table in the DB, to the field "Archivo", then what I do is use a omniportlet and using HTML format I present like a link using the info in the field Archivo
and when I clic on it it takes me to this link

but the file I uploaded does not appear
can aniyone help me to solve this?

The method you used to setup upload of file seems fine. I suppose you would have used a blob type to save the file in your db table.
basically, you can develop a report offering a link calling perhaps a procedure which would query from the table and download the file.
In that procedure, you would look for the file (vblob) and the mime_type from that table using a sql-query. then use them to setup the mime type for the http protocol, and download the file as follows.
owa_util.mime_header(mime_type);
owa_util.http_header_close;
wpg_docload.Download_File(vblob);

Want to upgrade from snow leopard to lion, need to purchase an external harddrive to b/u my stuff. will formating for snow leopard be ok when uploading to the new system (lion)?

oh sorry, I thought that was where we put the question I am on an extremely tight budget, but since I do shift work, I wanted to use the iCloud funciton to keep my calendars uptodate on my pc/mac mini/and iphone. Wish there were a way to do it for free on my snow and snow leopard OS, but sinc e I cannot, I am wondering about formatting the external harddrive (which I have to purchase). If I format for the snow leopard, will there be a problem re installing the information into the new snow leopard OS machine? Also, I am wondering about the older Mac Pro I have that is the OS before snow leopard (Snow, I believe) will I be able to use this same HD for backing it up to upgrade it (at a later date)?

Mass Upload - SOLAR01

To whom it may concern,
We need to upload information massively using transaction SOLAR01. The LSMW solution is not good since the hierarchy of the left side causes problems. Does anybody can tell us a better option for this issue?

Problem when uploading CSV File

Hi, i'm testing some changes i made to an infoprovider and something strange is happening to me (as usual) I have a CSV file that is uploaded into BI from my PC and I tested this file with 100 records, later i deleted 98 records so i can test the file with fewer records in order to analyze the formulas in BEx with some very specific data. Now here is the strange part: even though i modified the file and left only 2 record in it, when I run the DTP the system is still uploading 100 records!?! How can that be possible. I checked everything, the datasource and the infopackage are both pointing to the same file (the one which has two records) and there is no other file in the entire hard drive that has 100 records and/or the same name/structure that the file i'm uploading into BI. I just can't figure out why the DTP is uploading more records that I have in the CSV file!?. Any ideas??
Another thing: I'm having problem with 0calmonth, tried everything. I put the calmonth in the CSV file in both formats MMYYYY (092010) and YYYYMM (202009) but I still get error when running the DTP. I have activated/deactivated the conversion routine in the transformation and in the datasource, I change the field length in datasource and tried any possible combination of these changes and I still can't make it work. I searched here and read all the post related to this issue but i still can't figure out how to properly upload information into 0calmonth.

pls check the data in PSA.... you may be loading only 2 records..
Also possible that the DTP is set to load FULL data.... so its loading the entire data from PSA (old + new)
the calmonth format should be YYYYMM... what is the error message u r getting... you can always check the PSA and see whats the format coming there

Delete Items upload with t-code FF_5

Hi guys,
I d like to know if is possible to delete the items "born" or to import the files for the electronic bank statement
into the SAP System with t-code ff_5.
is there a sort of view table that can be update with sm30?

Not sure what you mean with born.
there is the option to see uploaded information in table FEBCL and FEBEP from statement items.
To delete complete stamtements you would need to run a program se38 rfebka96, based on unique account statement key in SAP. Note: no postings are reversed with this! so if some items posted, some not and you delete a statement you will cause problemes.

Upload Progress

When uploading files via a browser to a website using Safari, how can I see the progress of my upload? I know the address bar fills with blue, but how can I get more specific information, such as the number of kb left to upload?
I'm uploading to a web-based file transfer site, and that site does not have their own upload counter. Other browser software such as Google Chrome has a progress indicator in the bottom status bar, but Safari doesn't seem to have one.
Is there an extension or plugin that will show me this info?

I did some research on the topic on Google and here at Apple Discussions and the consensus seems to be that Safari does not have the ability to indicate the progress on uploads other than the progressbar under the url/search bar. I have checked the Safari extensions gallery and I don't seem to see anything that adds that function to the browser.

Enterprise T5220 and firmware 7.2 - can't upload certificate

BUG here?
I updated the firmware with patch 139439-01 to an Enterprise T5220. However when trying to upload a certificate and key via the browser session, there seems to be a bug in the screen. It says "Fill in the file upload information and click Load to upload the file. " however, there's no place to fill out anything. Below it are just the LOAD and CLOSE buttons.
Can this be done via the command line?

Problems uploading text into infoobject

Hi everybody.
I tried to upload information about TEXTS to an infoobject. Is the exercise of BW310 training course (7.0 version).
I've created an infopackage that retrieves the data from R3 backend. My problem is that i always get a yellow 'traffic light' in monitor. I know data is in the texts table because i check PSA and is there.
This is what i get in STATUS strip :
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system.

Since U r loading data for Texts for an infoobject, try and check the Transformations for that specific infoobject. Check whether they are maintained properly or not. If Yes, then go to the Monitor screen, and click on the Job Overview button on the Top right. There select TRFC Overview in source system, once you get into TRFC Overview Screen, check whether there are some TRFC struck ( i.e., TRFC's with status Transaction Recorded ), if there are some of them, then select them 1 at a time and press F6 ( this will move the struck TRFC from Source System to BI).
If no TRFC struck was there, then wait for some more time, your load should get completed by itself.

How to change agent upload frequency

Hi,
I am looking for a way to change the frequency at which the agent checks the local targets and uploads the information. The reason - say on the Dev database targets, I want to prevent Agent from collecting information frequently and uploading the OMR with lots of information..which I really don't need at the default frequency. Say, if the default is 5 minutes, I would prefer to have the agents on the Dev servers to check the local targets and upload information every 30 minutes....that way OMS/OMR server is not busy working for something which is not critical. How can I manage the frequency....any information or pointers would be appreciated.

Chandra,
communication between agent and oms takes place every every couple of seconds. The agent monitors different "targets", e.g. Host target, database target, listener target, etc. Each target can be monitored via target-specific metrics. For example the host target has metrics: cpu util%, etc. Each metric has its thresholds and also it´s specific monitoring interval.
In your case, I would recommend to create a monitoring template for each target type of your dev host. In that monitoring template, you can increase the monitoring interval.
There is in fact a configuration parameter in $AGENT_HOME/sysman/config/emd.properties, called UploadInterval, but that does only regulate how often the metric data is transmitted, to the oms, not how often the metric is measured. Therefore it has no effect on repository size.

Photo upload file permissions?

Hi,
My website will give users the option to upload photographs which will be displayed on the website.
Before a user can do this they must register or be logged in to their account.
I will be using a shared hosting environment.
My script does check the file size and type and only allows .jpg .gifs and .png.
I need to set global permissions, is there a way of defining a registered user as the owner so that I only need apply owner permissions of 700 rather than setting at 777?
My other concern is that the files that I upload the photos to is also the one that I link to from my web pages to display the images, should I be copying the uploaded images to another file then linking to that one to display the images?

Just to clarify your helpful comments, there are two comments that I am not fully understanding.
Firstly yes I am allowing registered users to upload through http protocol.
And yes the files that are being uploaded to will be under website ownership.
As it will be shared apache hosting I need to set read write and execute permissions to allow the upload script to perform, which I have to do using chmod and assigning restrictive permissions if possible.
Your comment: As long as the scripts performing the uploads are within the SAME ACCOUNT....
The script is just there within the page, a user registers their details and then is allow to go to the page that upload information to the database and photos to the upload script, returning users, after log in is verified, are also allowed on the page that upload photos, DOES THAT MEAN THEY ARE WITHIN THE SAME ACCOUNT AS WEBSITE OWNER?

I wanted to apply permission the the upload files but I thought the 'status' of my users would be like 'general public' I guess that ties in with the last comment about account ownership, for what ever reason I was thinking that a user, even if registered, would be just like a a public person and for them to be able to use the upload scripts I thought that I would need to somehow tell the files that this person was the 'owner' so that I could apply 700 permissions to the actual file rather than 777 permissions, I was trying to find a way to use a more restrictive permission level ( sorry if I didn't explain it well).
So I am getting this right, I do hope so! A user on my website who is using the upload scripts has ownership permissions, so if I set the permissions on my upload file to 700, it will allow read, write and execute permission for the file and I don't need to set the status of my users to 'owner' they just will be as such the 'owner' because they are using the script?

As long as the scripts performing the uploads are within the same account, there should not be an issue, and you should be able to assign more restrictive permissions than 777. Why do you feel you need to assign apache permissions to individual users? (which you can't do anyway, using http) It would be pretty easy using sessions and PHP to keep user files separate from each other in unique folders. But if users will use the FTP protocol, the situation would be very different.
