FileDB Folder Query

Hello Experts,
I have a query about the folder FileDB located inside the BPC Directory, I'm not sure what's for, and I hope someone can help me to understand the function of this folder.

Well, I want to use that folder to drop some files from an ETL, and in this implementation BPC Web reports aren't going to be used at all , so after you answered, it seems that I can use this folder for what I want.

Folder query

Hi guys,
hopefully one of your helpful Lightroom users can help me on this one.
had to reinstall Vista64 from a mirror image on my machine the other day and now I have following issue with Lightroom 3.3
When I imported my most recent cataloge, I had all the files on lightroom, but they were all marked with a "?".
The drive where the images where on previously was marked as offline, but by finding them LR manually made a new Folder with a different drive name as I started adding the images there. Halfway through I realised what happened.
I did change the drive name at some point in the past, hence LR not finding the files.
So I changed the hard drives letter back to what it was, but now I have half my images on drive D, the other half on drive F in LR.
Also looking in my "Computer", it shows 2 hard drives with the exact space usage, one a D and one as F. Both have the full set of my images on them.
How can I get rid of it and move all the images back to one place in LR????
On LR I havent got the option to remove the drive F, but can delete the images on it out of LR.
I also cant just move the files from drive F back to drive D ....
Any ideas?

Ugh. Okay, well, basically you made one big mistake... When you booted LR and found all the '?', what you _should_ have done is right-click on the top-level folder and tell it to reconnect the folders. Then it would have reconencted all of them below.
I'm not sure how you got two drives with the same name, did you alias it or something? That would account for it..
Okay, let's see. First: BACK UP YOUR CATALOG.
Yes, I know it's damaged, but even so, it's better than nothing. :} Come to think of it, if you just restore from disk, did your catalog come with it? In that case, your best answer is to restore the catalog again, and THEN reconnect the folder properly. That's your best choice.
If you can't do that, then your next bet is to reconnect the missing folders into the D: location. LR may have a problem with that, so I have a question: Are the images that are marked as missing on F: still in the D: section, or did it move them from there when it created an F:? If they are gone from D:, then I hope someone else has a better idea of what to do, as I would only be stumbling here a bit. If they still exist in D:, then remove them from the F: reference in LR, but DO NOT DELETE THEM FROM DISK. You should be able to reconnect them in D:. But this is possibly the wrong move, so wait to see if anyone else chimes in.
I would restore again, if I were you.

ICloud folder query

This should be simple but it's driving me crazy.
I have set up iCloud folders for my iPhone and iPad.
I have disabled the syncing facility as I know that if I delete photos on my iPhone then it deletes them on iCloud also.
However, the files only appear in the 'all files' folder and NOT the iPhone folder.
Is there any way to move the files into the iPhone folder as I want to keep the photos separate?
Indeed, I want to set up another folder for my wife's iPhone.

Event and photo folder query

Each time I open iPhoto's "Events" folder, it opens anywhere within the folder's collection of pictures, changing this location each time I open it in relation to the folder's key picture that changes each time the pointer rests on it. I would like that when opening the "Events" folder, the key picture remains fixed when the pointer rests on it and the "Events" folder opens the collection beginning on top with the latest picture imported (I sorted them by date descending). Does anyone has a clue about how to do this? Please, let me know. Thanks!

You're referring to opening a single Event instead of clicking on Events in the left hand pane to show all of the individfual events at the right, correct?
How do you have the photos sorted in the Events? I have my Event photos sorted by title-descending and they always open at the same spot, at the top with the last or highest titled at the top.
Have you tired changing the sort and see if that makes any difference.
You can try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

I have created some folders (3 in total) to download emails to Folders have the @ in the corners. But now I would like to delete them having decided to just read emails on line. Is this possible as I cannot find a delete folder option under options nor Can I find them when pluging phone ito my PC. Is it not possible to delete these?

Exchange 2010 Public Folder Query

Hello all,
At the moment we have two mailbox servers. I'll call them O1 and O2. O1 and O2 each have a public folder database. All mailbox databases are pointed to O1 (so O2 only acts as a duplicate).
We're going to replace O1 and O2 with N1, N2 and N3. N1 and N3 will have public folder databases.
In order to get to that state would it be ok for me to do the following:
-Run ReplaceReplicaOnPFRecursive.ps1 -TopPublicFolder "\" -ServerToRemove "O2" -ServerToAdd "N1"
-Run AddReplicaToPFRecursive.ps1 -TopPublicFolder "\" -ServerToAdd "N3"
-Point all mailbox databases at N1 (when I know that replication has finished).
-Run
RemoveReplicaFromPFRecursive.ps1 -TopPublicFolder "\" -ServerToRemove "O1"
-Decommission O1 and O2.
Please let me know if I have interpreted these scripts correctly...many thanks!

Hi,
Per my knowledge, the first step we need to do is to add N1 as PF replica partner for the O1. It may take a very long time to replicate all content. After all the PFs have been replicated to N1, we can run the MoveAllReplicas.ps1 or the ReplaceReplicaOnPFRecursive.ps1
script to replace server O1 with a new server N1 in the replication list.
It is the same process to add N3 as PF replica partner. Before you decided to decommission O1 and O2, please make sure all replicas on them have been removed.

Public Folder Query

I am trying to capture information in a single command from:
Get-PublicFolder
Get-PublicFolderStatistics
Using the following command. I'm struggling with getting the replicas which I have in bold.

Passing parameter to a query in Discoverer Admiin custome folder.

I am developing a report in which I need to paa in the request Id as parameter to display the user the data corresponding to that request Id. However the query is very complex and If I am enetering the request Id in Discoverer Desktop se as Condition for the workbook created the report takes a lot of time to generate. Is there any mechanism through which I can pass the parameter directly to the Custome folder query. As this will reduce my computation time since all the joins will be done only for the rows with that given request Id rather than for all the rows which is happenning correctly.

Well there is no straight forward way to do that.
There is a work around to get that functionality by using outer tables or context.

Copy Folder with Joins. Export/Import Folder with joins. In EUL.

Ok, I've got a custom folder which has been made up by dragging items from 2 or 3 other folders into it.
It then has some joins of it's own, quite a few.
When trying to create a workbook from it, it takes 9 mins to run a query.
I need to work out what is slowing it down. If I create the same workbook against the folder which has the majority of the items in the custom folder, it runs instantly.
So I suspect it is one of the joins causing it.
My plan was to duplicate the folder, then remove joins until I find out which one is causing it.
However, if I cut n paste the folder, I get a copy without the joins.
If I export the folder and import it I get a copy without the joins.
Question then - how can I get a copy of a folder WITH the joins ?
I'm slightly concerned that when I export my EUL from the dev database and import it into the live database that I'm not going to get any joins since the export and import into the dev database is not retaining the joins.

The preferences for Disco Plus are set in the pref.txt file on the apps server and for Disco Desktop in the Windows Registry. I think the defaults are set on so unless you have changed them this is unlikely to help.
I think I read somewhere that the 11g optimiser will remove unused outer joins or where there is a foreign key constraint. I may have made that last bit up as I cannot find a reference to it, but it may be worth exploring.
To speed things up you could look at why this join is slowing things down. It could be that you need an index on the join column.
The join actually is used, in that it has to check in the other table that a record exists. This is why Discoverer cannot remove the join from the complex folder query. If it did and there where no matching records in the other table then you would get a different result.

Query Viewer not working

New install of CFB 2 on Win 7 32bit with CF901.
When right clicking on a database table in RDS Dataview I get an error , I get the error "/MyProject/.rdsTempFiles/RDS Query Viewer does not exist". The same is happening when trying to open the RDS Query Viewer.
This works correctly in CFB 1.
Any suggestions what is going on? Is it a permissions issue or something similar? The .rdsTempFiles directory is created in the /MyProject folder and shows up in the Navigator.

I cannot login to the Forums (the login is apparently down) so will answer what I have found.
Running CFB2 on Win 7 32bit. CFB 1 is also installed.
Tried the following: ( CFB 2 ALWAYS started with -clean option )
1. started with no projects at all in Nav. View.
     Added New Project called "test List" that was pointed to "C:\inetpub\wwwroot\testlist" folder - Query Viewer did not work
2. deleted project from Nav View, deleted .project, .settings., settings.xml, .rdsTempFiles from testlist folder.
     Added New Project called "test List2" that points to same testlist folder. Query Viewer did not work.
     Renamed "test List2" to "testlist". Query Viewer did not work.
3. Deleted project from Nav View, deleted .project, .settings, settings.xml, .rdsTempFIles from testlist folder.
     Restartd CFB2. Added New project called "testlist" that points to same testlist folder. QUERY Viewer worked successfully.)))
     Renamed testlist project to "Test List". Query Viewer worked.
Restarted CFB2 and repeated 1 and 2. Even re-started CFB2 after adding a new project before trying Query Viewer. Did not work.
Uninstalled CFB2. Reinstalled CFB2. Same results as 1,2,3.
Other interesting info.
In the Error Log when I start CFB2, I always get the following.
     Unable to create a template transfer. Com.adobe.rds.core
     Three more entries with No message except "No stack trace" - com.adobe.ide.coldfusion.server
This happens even after my reinstall.

In order to pass a parameter to the query in custom folder of a business area I created a function and mapped it to the Custome query using Discoverer Desktop. There is no error in mapping as the system does not throw any error. When I am inputting the Parameter for the input values everytime the query doesnot return any rows.

I need to take the request Id as input from the user and then fetch only the data pertaining to that requet Id. As a lot of complex joins are involved I need to pass request id as parameter to the custome folder.

This function is called on the condition associated with the parameter in Discoverer Desktop when i run the report.
In the custom folder query i have this piece in the where clause
WHERE tnfo.request_id = NVL(APPS.SETPARAM.GET_PARAM1,7383588)
And everytime i get the data pertaining to request id =7383588,
Please suggest where i went wrong

Exclude *All* Subfolders From Smart Folder Search

I know how to make a Smart Folder search two different directories and retrieve results from each (e.g. /Applications and /Developer). I've also seen disscusions here on excluding particular subfolders, but to no avail. So here's a simpler request: is it possible to exclude all subfolders from a Smart Folder query? Suppose I have the following directory structure:
Foo/
A.txt
B.txt
Bar/
C.txt
D.txt
Baz/
E.txt
F.txt
G.txt
Given a search for *.txt files, I'd like the following result:
FooSearch.smartSearch
A.txt
B.txt
G.txt
Possible or no?

I have a similar issue, but want to exclude results that are within Mail.

Change Custom Access Level on a personal folder

Hi All,
This is about Business Objects XI 3.x
I'm looking for a solution to change the security settings on a personal folder.
Within 3.x it isn't possible to "overide" the user settings on a personal folder with the use of an usergroup.
So what I'm looking for is a way to overide the user settings Access level (by default this is Full Controll) with a custom Access level so I can take away some privilige on the personal folder.
Is there a Java script allready be developed by some one that I can use?

How to fetch folders and subfolders from sharepoint document library

I have document library with name . Under "Documents" there are some folders.Under some folders there are some subfolders.
I need to fetch the folders in to dropdown list. IF I select some folder in dropdownlist,I need to fetch subfolders of that folder to some other dropdownlist.
How to acheive this
