Filename problems file containing ' , o
Ive been a creative owner now for many years and its issues with filenames has never really bothered me before, the problem im having is similar to some threads i've read on here but not quite the same so i've opened a new thread..
When i sync my playlists from pc library to the zen vision (also happend on micro) some files were not transfered, these files were mainly files that had " ' "? in there names most other files do transfer perfectly and do get sorted into there own folders on the player (unlike most messages i've read where people are having problems with all files going into the same folder, i've never had that problem) the problem i have is i listen to alot of foreign music and they tend to use " ' " in there filenames alot - rather than rename over 2000 tracks containging this character i would like a solution to?synchronizing these types of tracks...
My friend has a iPod (Boooo!! hehe) and the tracks do xfer to that but the creative is much better than the ipod so to avoid me having to buy an ipod just to resolve this issue somebody plz help!?thanks Paul....

Can you elaborate on what you did when you changed the
security settings -> This was fixed by changing the security
settings.
I think too that my problem has something to do with security
settings but I do not know for sure. I only know that my server
side script is never reached when trying to upload from a MAC
platform. I'm using a webhotel so I'm pretty limited in changing
the settings.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi There: I am having a problem where pdf files on the web (i.e., links in a Word doc) open after an extended time and only as gobbldygook ( a file containing a series of characters and letters that make no sense). Just adding more info - MacBookPro running 10.5.8 and using Safari as the browser. The problem comes and goes - sometimes the linked Word files will open OK, n others its just a strring of crazy characters...

what i can doMS Office for Mac does not really support Arabic. But you may just have a font problem. Disconnected letters means a Windows font is being used. Change the font to a Mac font like Geeza Pro.
For better Arabic support, try OpenOffice. -

Converting/copying a PDF file containing a persian text to WORD (.doc) gives a distorted WORD document! Could any one please tell me what I must do to have a sound and neat WORD (.doc) version of a PDF file containg a Persian text? I use Adobe Acrobat8 Professional and MS Office WORD 2007. HELP: Appending new records to File containing 1 Record
Hi, im transferring records to a file, the first line of the file contains the headers (used 'NO END OF LINE'). The problem is that when I write the data records to the file, the first record continues from the end of the Headers line, hence i have a record missing in my statement. I want to append the records below the Headers line. I tried opening the dataset 'for appending' instead of 'for output' but I get the same result.

When uploading a file containing swedish letter å, ä or ö the file name is gets corupted in the filename. There are som encoding issues just for the mac version, since the file name is uploaded correctly in all other browsers on mac and all browsers in windows.
What form does this corruption take? According to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=695995 the difference is decomposed vs precomposed Unicode forms, but that should not actually affect any Unicode-complian software. If there's a site that shows a problem here, can you point me to it?

In order to get to the entry enumeration I need a Zip/JarFile:

AndreI'm not sure I understand the problem. The difference between a zip and jar file is the manifest file; JarFile is extended from ZipFile and is able to read the manifest, other than that they are the same. Your code

I am encountering a missing font error on Adobe Illustrator for a font that I recently bought - Centrale Sans Bold. This font is clearly installed in the system's font folder and is also showing in the font list on Adobe Illustrator. But when I open an existing file containing this font it is giving the error "The document uses fonts or characters which are not available or are in a different format than originally specified".
We have also bought Centrale Sans regular from a different website as we couldn't find both on one, could that be clashing somehow?
Also the existing file was created on MAC plattform and we are using a windows plattform to open it. That to me doesn't seem like an issue as all other files are opening up fine and I have bought around 47 fonts and only this font seems to be not working. I have also written to the website I bought it from but I have also bought around 20-25 fonts from them and all the other fonts are working fine too. Maybe its an illustrator related problem?
Please help!!!!!!There is one way its getting fixed. Once I update my Adobe Illustrator CC to Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 it is further allowing me to go into the system folder and allocate the font to the file so that it can replace it. My only concern now is that our MAC partners who will receive these files back from us have Adobe CS6. We will down save it to CS6 but I hope they won't experience any font issues because of us using CC 2014? Any light you can shed on this?

We had problems making it initially work on Sun ONE Web Server 6.0 Service Pack 1 because of lack of good iPlanet Web
Server documentation on deploying such files.
This is how we went about it:
1) Make one of the servlet and JSP (must call another Java Class) web application (.war) examples work with iPlanet Web
Server.
C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\HelloWorld\HelloWorld.war
and
C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
a) Go to your Web Server Administration to deploy the application using GUI Web Application Deploy.
(We usually use command line, we experienced some issues with the GUI version, but maybe it is fixed in the new Web Server
service packs)
From browser, open http://yourserver:8888/
Click on Select a Server:Manage
Click on Virtual Server Class
Click on https-yourserver
Click on the Web Applications Tab
Then, click on Deploy Web Application
Enter the following -
WAR File On: Local
WAR File Path: C:\iPlanet\Servers\plugins\servlets\examples\web-apps\jakarta-examples\jarkarta-examples.war
Application URI: /jakarta
Installation Directory: c:\iPlanet\examples\jakarta-examples
By clicking on OK it deployed the application.

'Program Files' contains an invalid character when installing iTunes 10.5
I'm getting an error when I try to install iTunes 10.5: "The folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character". Nothing has changed on my machine, I don't see any invalid characters in the path where I'm installing iTunes, and I have now tried to install this manually. Any ideas how to proceed?

ITunes fails to install update "folder path program files contains an invalid character"
I'm trying to get the newest version of itunes, but I keep getting "the folder path program files contains an invalid character." I've seen on here before attempts to use Microsoft fix it and Windows Clean up which I've tried and both haven't helped. I've gone to youtube and tried to delete the appropriate folders under the registry edit. Nothing seems to work. I need the new itunes to update my iphone because of the recent hardware crash via the new update.
At what stage in the process does this occur?

Error Message:The folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character
I have an 80G iPod. I never had a problem with the itunes program until I switched to Vista. When I try to open iTunes I get the following error message:
*The folder path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character*
I have itunes installed on both my HP and on an external hard drive that I use as my backup in case something goes wrong. Neither one opens and I get the same error message on both. I have tried to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall and get the same message so I can't uninstall.
I'm really frustrated, I need to get to my music for a huge presentation in a few days. Can anyone help?

Now during mapping test in ESR all the fields are giving red color because there is extra "ns0" in the sender XML.
Can you give some idea on how can I get rid of this issue?

You need make changes in order to incorporate Message ID and Batch Record Count.
I doubt that the XSD you have for the XML file is wrong.
Could you post the entire XSD and XML fiile if possible?

SSIS none text qualifier results in text file containing "_x003C_none_x003E"
There is a bug in SSIS when exporting data from SQL to a comma delimited text file where you specified no text qualifier.
This bug apparently only occurs when you develop the SSIS on a x64 win7 PC and copy the .dtsx file (windows explorer copy/paste) to network path of a x86 SQL server and schedule the job to run from SQL Agent on the same x86 SQL server.
When the SSIS runs, the text file is written out containing text qualifier = "“_x003C_none_x003E".
If you look at "
_x003C_none_x003E", it actually means <none>. x003C = "<" and x003E = ">".
If you go into the SSIS package, double-click in the connection manager section to open the flat file connection manager editor and try to clear the text qualifier removing the <none>,
the <none> value get added back in.
The only work-around is to NOT open the
flat file connection manager editor, but instead make the change using the property window and clear out any value in the TextQualifier field.
Other similar problems occur when you actually want to put a real value in the text qualifier. For explain if you select the double-quote as the text qualifier and copy to a
x86 server and run, you end up with a text file containing the value "
_x0022" around each field instead of a double quote.
In my mind this is a serious bug, I did some research and other people have been having this same issue.
FYI, the SQL server is currently SQL2008 with SP2. I will try to get it updated to SP3/4 this weekend to see that will help.
FYI2, when I am developing the SSIS using VS2008 and my local test/run is done through visual studio on my Dev PC (x64). Everything works fine this way. I do not have a instance of SQL on my machine so I did not test it running from SQL Agent

Sorry to revive an older post, but we are currently running into this problem...again, but this is happening on SQL Server 2008 R2 SSIS servers and the corresponding developer machines.
Everything that I'm finding in forums and blogs pretty much points that this is an issue with build mismatches (i.e. one system not being caught up to the server while others are), but I have yet to find anything that really outlines how to properly rectify
the situation and prevent it from happening going forward.
Currently all but our production server (from a server perspective) are exactly the same version numbers (same CU applied).
I can't really speak to all of the developer boxes, but mine matches all but the production server (production is showing a lower number than the expected 10.50.2500.0).
As shown below, what is really odd is the second entry and last entry. Second entry is showing SP1 as the generic identifier, but yet shows Build 7600.
The bottom one shows RTM in the generic identifier, but yet shows Build 7601 Service Pack 1, and the version number isn't the expected 10.50.2500.0.

CS6 Could Not Save "filename" Because File is Locked
For many years I have been edit photo montages in Premiere Pro. When I would find a photo that needs retouching so I would open Photoshop, retouch the pic, save it, and the new image would magically appear on the PPro timeline. But in my CS6 suite, I get the error message "Could not save "filename" because file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file". And this only happens when PPro is still open, regardless of where the CTI is on the timeline, or which pic on the timeline is selected. I never had this problem with any other versions of PPro and Photoshop. I don't want to shut down PPro everytime I need to retouch a pic.
That sounds like you've found a bug in PPro where it keeps the files open and locked when it shouldn't.
